Contacts Missing from Past 4 Days

I went to make a call first things this morning and all of the contacts who either had called/texted me or who I've called/texted over the past 4 days are no longer in my phone. Why is this happening?  It looks like it's been a recent issue based on other discussions recently posted.  They are still appearing in my Backup Assistant online. How can I easily restore all of my contacts from the Backup Assistant?

    Hi there sskufca,
I hear you and I'm here to help. We need to take a further to look to determine what is causing this; however, in most cases it is content downloaded into the phone. This can be an app, a picture, music synced, but I have the solution for you.  Make sure you have backed your iPhone 4S to the iTunes or iCloud before following the steps included in the link: http://support.verizonwireless.com/support/devices/knowledge_base.html/47616/
This will reset your phone to factory settings, it will delete the content causing the problem and it will allow you to restore your contacts from Backup Assistant again upon set up.

Installed Office 2010 yesterday on Inspiron 620, Windows 7.  Contacts missing from PC but are in iCloud and showing up on iPad.  Checked the icloud, signed off and back on. Still do not show up.  Were there before the Office installation.  I see  iCloud on control panel but not in programs.  It showed in programs before ioffice install as well as on control panel.  Not sure if it is really still installed because I see it one place but not another.  Thanks.

  • Contacts missing from iphone and outlook 2010

I have an IPhone 5c running 7.1.2 version and I sync it between my outlook 2010 contacts.  I use Windows 8.1 and both my iPhone and laptop use my home wifi.  I can add in new contacts to my iPhone and or laptop and they sync fine.  Then a few days later the contact is gone.  I can tell because when I start to email someone from my iPhone and type in their name the missing contact will come up with the circled I (more info) and ask me if I want to add it as a new contact.  This is very frustrating, I have over 800 contacts all related to business and random contacts just go away.   I have turned off icloud sync, turned it back on, refreshed it and nothing works.  when it disappears it takes it off of my laptop too...

I did set all my email contacts to be on the phone, and checked the iCloud. Re-synced the phone with itunes on my macbook. I have turned the phone off and left it turned off for 10 minutes and then turned it back on.
The contacts I am seeking are still missing.
One in particular I know had no email address associated with it.
I'm about ready to quit my iphone.

  • Contacts Missing from "To,CC" buttons on Outlook 2010

I recently restored Office from my backup to a different computer.  Everything works
except my contacts do no appear when I click the "to" or "cc" buttons.  All of the assistance that I have been able to find relates to Office 2007 and apparently does not apply to 2010 since there is no "tools" option with the appropriate tabs
    or dropdowns.
    Help!  Please!

    Hi,
Outlook 2010 have new interface, Tool tabs integrate into File ribbon.
If you have Contacts in the Contacts folder but they are not accessible when you click on the To button, check these settings:
Make sure the Contact folder is enabled as an email address book. Right click the Contacts folder, choose Properties then Outlook Address Book. Is the box to enable as email address book is checked?
    If this is grayed out...
Go to File – Account Settings, choose View or change existing directories or address book. Is the Outlook Address Book present? If it isn't listed, add it and close and restart Outlook. If it is listed, then remove it and close
then restart Outlook and repeat these steps to add it.

  • Contacts missing from iCloud, iPhone, Macbook, and iPad!

I somehow deleted all my address book contacts off of my Macbook. Since everything is through iCloud, I no longer have any contacts on my iPhone or iPad either. I don't have any time machine back ups on my Macbook (stupid, I know) and iCloud was never backed up on my iPhone. Although, on my iPad I see that there is a backup from the 15th of this month. Is it possible to restore my address book back to that date through iCloud? I’ve already tried resetting the iPad and using the setup assistant to restore from that date and my contacts are still missing! Please help!

    Hello Rockstarcasey
If you are using a syncing service to keep your contact on your devices, like iCloud or Gmail, check to see if that service is turned on, You can do that by going to Settings > iCloud, if you are using it, and make sure that it is turned on. If you are using a different service, then go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and select the account that they are associated with and toggle it on.
If you have a back up within iTunes or iCloud, you can restore that back up back to your devices. Keep in mind that when you do that, it will replace what is currently on your iPhone or iPad mini with that back up.

  • IPhone calendar & contacts missing from desktop

last night came home and my calendar & contact list are no longer on my desktop.  NO Idea where to look to get them back.  Still on my phone.

Save any photo stream photos to your camera roll, then go to Settings>iCloud, scroll down and tap Delete Account, choose Delete from My iPod and provide the password when prompted, then after a minute or so sign back in.  (This deletes the account and iCloud data from your iPod but not from iCloud.  Your data will reappear on your iPod when you sign back in.)

  • Favorites and Contacts Missing from Phone App

When I go into the Phone App on my Iphone 6 I only see Recents, Keypad and Voicemail at the bottom.  I used to see Favorites, Recents, Contacts, Keypad and Voicemail.  Favorites and Contacts are missing.
I still have the regular Contacts app and can see my contacts are in there so the issue is just related to the phone app.
    This is what I see...

If the reset does not cure the issue, check Settings > General > Usage and make sure your available storage is at least 15% or so of your total storage.

  • Icloud contacts missing from outlook

iCloud really messed up my contacts, now I can't even find them. When I click on iCloud Contacts nothing comes up. Wish I had never gone to iCloud.

I was seeing a similar issue and what I found was that iCloud was setup in an earlier profile and was having problems with my new profile.  I did the following:
Be sure that Outlook is not running
Open the Mial (Outlook) setup in the Control Panel
Select the E-Mail Accounts button and remove any iCloud accounts from there.
Then select the Data Files tab and remove any iCloud files from there.  I found that there was one that was not the iCloud email, it just said iCloud and it was causing the issue.  Remove them all.
If there are multiple profiles, so the same for all.
If the iCloud Control Panel is open, close it and then re-open it.  There should be no checkbox for any Outlook setup and there will be the option to set it up.  Select the setup option and it will setup correctly and work.
I hope that helps you.  Mine worked immediately.

  • Contacts missing from Iphone 3GS after syncing

I synced my daughters iphone 3GS and then my iphone 3GS to the same itunes account on my pc. Most of my contacts were gone when I got done syncing but I had my daughters contacts.  How do I get my contacts back?  Ive synced my phone again to the same pc and it doesn't give me any options to fix my contacts.

I did set all my email contacts to be on the phone, and checked the iCloud. Re-synced the phone with itunes on my macbook. I have turned the phone off and left it turned off for 10 minutes and then turned it back on.

  • Contacts missing from iphone

I have had this problem before, and was able to solve it before, but this time have tried everything listed in previous forums and nothing is working. Not only are people's names, addresses and phone numbers missing in my contacts, but in my "telephone book" as well. Does anyone have any suggestions, and can clearly point me in the right direction on solving this problem.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Some contacts missing from address book on my macbook

I was making some groups in the address book application on my macbook and when i went to add a couple of my contacts, i noticed they weren't there even though i just now synced my phone. How do i fully update all my contacts on my phone to the address book?

Thanks for linking your Address Book Accounts Basics (with iCloud). And for all your forum contributions - invaluable!
A possible tip to add is the obscure option key solution to the question: to what groups does the selected contact belong? When the option key is depressed all associated groups are displayed.
On syncing: is there an Applescript or utility that will audit every linked iCloud account, Mac and iOS device for discrepancies between the Contacts databases? I thinking of the simple case like ours, where we want everything stored in the iCloud Account once-only-once, plus whatever Group-ings are useful. Even better - a script or utility that will force synchronization across all our devices and iCloud?
Another useful tip might be: here are all the things you must do to achieve simple syncronycity - everything the same everywhere, no private contacts. That is probably what 99.99% of users want, and it is not documented anywhere. Even Joe Kissel's Take Control of iCloud v1.3 doesn't address this.

  • Contacts missing from Desktop

Outlook crashed. Uninstalled and re-installed. All working, except the Contacts folder on Desktop is empty. Contacts on E2 are fine and HotSync Log show that Contacts have HotSync'd.
    Where has it gone?
Could it be an Outlook issue? Any assistance greatly appreciated.
    John.

    Hello jminitials,
    Welcome to the forums.
On the Mac where are the contacts stored? What version of the Mac OS are you currently using and what version of the BlackBerry Desktop Software are you using? When you do the sync are you getting any kind of error message?
With a bit more information we should be able to help you out.

  • Address Book Contacts Missing with Exchange

I have seen this posted previously, but there has been little discussion.
My exchange setup in SL seems to work perfectly in iCal and Mail, but I am missing about 100 contacts out of the 200 or so contacts that should be there. I do not see anything common between these contacts that would make them go missing, except that most (maybe all of them) come from the same group. There are only a few contacts that synced over from this group, but most are missing. I have yet to determine if any contacts from my other groups are missing.
I have this same exchange account set up on a Windows machine and on my iPhone and everything syncs fine between those devices.
    Thanks.
A quick update. I have determined that there are contacts missing from all of my groups.

I am having the same problem. I updated to SL and about 1/3 of my contacts are missing. I still have them on my phone and am trying to figure out if there is a way to dowload them to my computer.

Your entire second paragraph is so confusing I am going to ignore it.
But I may be able to answer your first and third paragraphs, which seem to address the same question.
I wonder where your iPhone states it was backed up yesterday.  I am going to assume that you see this under Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
If that is true, then the backup from yesterday is in iCloud.  The one and only way to restore an iCloud backup is to do this on your iPhone:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
That will cause your iPhone to begin a setup process.  As part of that process, assuming you enter the same Apple ID you used when you created the iCloud backup, you will be offered the opportunity to restore from it.
