Contacts not synching

Using Address Book 4.1, I am unable to synch certain contacts to either of my i
Pod Touches. I have deleted the contacts from Address Book and re-entered them, though they will not synch over. Why is this?

It is definitely set to synching contacts, some are synching, just not all of them. It is a few that will not synch.

I'm guessing you mean folders in the Address Book program? If so, they are all in the same folders.

  • HT204150 iCloud Contacts not synching

I have synched my iPhone 4 to iCloud and only 29 of my contacts are appearing in the iCloud contacts even though I have a lot more than that on my phone. How do I get the rest of my contacts into iCloud without doing it manually?
I am now the proud owner of an iPad and unable to put all my contacts into the iPad from iCoud due the above problem.
    Thank you for your help

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that contact syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your contacts are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking contact syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling contact syncing.

  • Contacts not synching properly...

    Hi Guys,
Just been tidying up my Address Book on the Mac and reset the sync to .Mac Have also just synched to my iPhone and some of the contacts have information missing like phone numbers etc!
Is their a reason for this or even a workaround? Plainly a phone with missing numbers is about as useful as a chocolate ashtray...
    Cheers

I couldn't have put this better as I too have the same **** problem - what is going on! Surely this is a simple function that Apple should be put away for screwing up - unbelievably slack performance

  • IPhone 3GS / Exchange 2007 - One Contact Not Synching

    Hi there,
We have a 3GS phone that is not synchronizing 1 contact (only the one we know of about 250+) when the contact is definitely in the users Outlook 2007 / Exchange 2007 system. As best we can tell, all of the users other contacts our showing up fine on the iPhone.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

The wrong contact Group was selected. Once we selected the Exchange accounts "Contacts" all the accounts were there.

  • Contacts not synching from Apple Address Book to iPhone

I updated to iTunes 10.6.3 on MacOS 10.8.1 and my Contacts no longer synch.
In fact, on the iTunes Info page, the groups don't even display when Synch Contacts and All Contacts are both selected.
The iPhone has iOS 5.1.1, which is current.
I checked Software Update. Then I synched with the advanced option to overwrite Contacts on the iPhone with the Apple Address Book on my iMac. No luck.
Then I searched online and didn't find anything on point, so I came here to share this issue in the hopes that you have some inights and ideas to fix this problem.
    Any suggestions?
BTW, this clears Contacts on the iPhone.
    Thanks in advance!

Oops -- I just had to turn iCloud on in the System settings on the iPhone, then the Contacts synched.

  • Contacts not synching through cloud

I added my contacts to the cloud, they all showed up on my air book, but when I add a new contact to either my iPhone or air book, it does not show on both devices. What am I doing wrong?

Open Contacts>Preferences>General and verify that iCloud is the default account on your Mac. Then do the same thing on your iPhone. Settings>Mail, Contacts and Calendars>Contacts>Default account.
    Same applies to Calendars.

  • Photos, calendar entries, contacts not synching between my iPad, iPhone, and PC.  Was working a few weeks ago!

Until a few weeks ago, any photo I saved on my iPad automatically showed up on my computer.  The same with changes to contact information, calendar entries, etc.  If I made the changes/additions on one device it automatically showed up on the other.  Now, that doesn't happen.  What do I need to check/fix to get that working again?

im in the same situation except, i cant even load my old backup onto my phone, itunes gives me an error message, no number, and acts like there was no problem, syncs all my music and i have to use my phone as a new one, i have no contacts or anything now, and i cant even go back to 4.3.5 now, that wont even let me, itunes keeps making errors.....

  • IMac contacts do not synch with iCloud, iPhone & iPad contacts do

When I add/modify contacts on my MacBook Pro, the changes do not synch to iCloud, or my iPhone or iPad.  Calendar items and iCloud mail do synch and contactys synch between my iPhone and iPad.  What am I missing?  I have Lion.

  • I am constantly told by Itunes that 107 items are not synching from my contacts. This is a message from the Conflict Resolver that appears whenever I synch. I try to resolve the synch and a text message pops up telling me it could not find the synch serve

I am constantly told by Itunes that 107 items are not synching from my Ipod Touch to/from Outlook Contacts. I try to resolve the issue and eventually a message pops up saying it could not be completed because it could not find the sync server. This started after one of the updates a couple of months ago. If anyone has found a similar problem and resolved it I would appreciate any assistance.
    Thanks

  • My iPhone 4s is not synching with contacts in outlook for mac. Suggestions?

My iphone was synching contacts and appointments with outlook for mac just fine via iCloud, but now it's not. I added the Pushmail app and that's when I noticed the change, so I deleted the app. Still it's not synching. I have the latest version of iTunes and the most recent iPhone OS and Mac OS/X 10.7.2.  So now I have to attach the iPhone to my macbook. So how do I get back "in-sync" with iCloud?

I did assure that Outlook is set as my default email program before I posted this.

  • Ipod nano does not synch all contacts

ipod nano does not synch all contacts.  When it synchs, it only transfers 7 of 2000+ contacts

My point in the original posting that this is a bug seems to have been answered affirmatively by the notations of the quirkiness of the action. The argument that it must not be a bug because it would have been solved by now is totally disingenuous. Apparently Apple programmers (or their management) are not any superior to Microsoft programmers in that they focus on adding new bells and whistles while allowing longstanding problems in the core code to continue to fester.

  • IPhone 4 not synching with MacBook Pro contacts or calendar

    Hi there,
My issue is that my iPhone 4 is not synching with my MacBook Pro which is running Snow Leopard (I haven't upgraded to Mountain Lion yet as judging by the reviews there's a split in how successful it is).
The latest information is on my iPhone, both contacts and calendar, however under iTunes (the latest update v11) it does not give me the option box to 'check' and sync these menu's. Any ideas anyone - this is issue is not only baffling but annoying as ****.
Any ideas of feedback would be greatl

    Doh! Got it working....
Helps to use the "search" function better. I read another thread where someone was having the same problem and a suggestion was to ensure that he was using the same cable that came with his iPhone...sure enough! That was my problem. My wife has an iPod and somehow we mixed up our wires.
I swapped cables with her and boom! The synch function is back at work.
