Contacts not syncing - 2 iPhones, 3 Macs

We have 1 old original 2G iPhone, and one 3G iPhone.
3 Macs syncing together from one .Me account (Powerbook Pro G4, Mac Book Pro, Mac Mini)
We are currently running the iPhones through 1 Mac, the Powerbook Pro G4, as I wanted to keep the MacBook clear for processing photos. We are using only one user account for this task.
My problem is this.
*My contacts are different on each currently!! This is despite syncing all across MobileMe on 1 account. Scarey.*
My wife has new contacts she's added recently, that are not showing on mine, or the MacBook Pro. And in the last few days, some contacts have disappeared from my iPhone 3G.
In a mild panic, I've backed up current Contacts on Cal, but how do I separately back up her iPhone when we're only using 1 user on iTunes to do this all?
Also, I've seen another posting where someone recommends couples with 2 iPhones to set up 2 user accounts on the Mac in question being synced. Is this our best way forward?

Calendars and Contacts not syncing between iPhone and Mac

Hello.
I am using a MacPro4,1 (early 2009) running OS X 10.9.1, and an iPhone 4 running iOS 7.0.4.
In iPhone, Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Calendars Settings are set to: Sync – All Events.
In iTunes, Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi is checked.
Calendar and Contacts aren't syncing, in neither direction, neither over Wi-Fi nor by cable. (I haven't, and won't try iCloud or however that thing is called now.)
No idea why. I'd be thankful for any hint.

so there's nothing but iCloud to do this? Is there a workaround? Or do I have to use either other a different set of applications, or another set of operating system and hardware? Not syncing is no option, iCloud isn't either, changing systems is.

My calendar is not syncing between iphone and Mac air on iCloud.

The calendar entries I am adding either on my iphone or mac air via icloud are not syncying between the devices. Is anyone else having this problem currently? If yes, how can it be resolved. I have deleted the account and added it back in but to no avail.

Are all the devices set to actually sync calendar entries to iCloud? If any of them are set to sync with some other service (gMail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.) while some of them are set to use iCloud then they can not sync. Or if they are set to iCloud but only set to sync say contact and bookmarks then they will not sync. They all have to be set to iCloud and they all have to have the calendar option selected.

Contacts not syncing with iPhone

Only some of my contacts from my Mac are on my phone.   My notes are not on my phone.
When I go to System Preferences then iCloud, I see my account ([email protected]) has everything checked. When I click on Manage Family, I see my wife, my iTunes account, and my iCloud account.
When I look at my Contacts preference, I see my both my wife's and my iCloud account enabled, with mine as primary, and everything checked except her mail.
When I click on my iPhone within iTunes, and look at "Info", it says my contacts and calendars are being synced with my iPhone over the air from iCloud".
When I look at iCloud in Finder, I don't see any files - I used to use my wife's iCloud (so I could update contacts for her), but I don't see files he has there - even though I shared some folders from her computer with me.
When I look at settings on my phone, I see that my iCloud setting is my iCloud account, with everything turned on - except "Keychain" is "Pending".   "Notes" is turned on, but are empty, while "Notes" on my Mac are populated with the same notes that are on my wife's computer.
Both my phone and my Mac have the same messages using my iCloud account.
I have rebooted my Mac and my iPhone several times.
My iPad still is connected to my wife's iCloud and sees the notes and full contacts file.   iTunes shows it synchronizing "All contacts" and "All calendars"   And there are *lots* of greyed out selected calendars.
I don't know how to get the rest of my contacts from my Mac to my iPhone.   I don't know how to get notes from my Mac to my iPhone.   And I don't know how to access the files on my wife's iCloud drive.

Some Voice Memos do not sync from iPhone to Mac?

I recorded a number of meetings to my iPhone using the Voice Memo app. When I sync with my Mac, most of these transfer to iTunes, but a handful don't, for no reason I can see. I did not record them any differently from the ones that made it across. I tried emailing the missing memos to myself from within Voice Memo, but the email silently failed, perhaps because the files are too large (almost an hour).
I've seen other similar threads on the web - the suggestion to uncheck and re-check the "Include Voice Memos" box did not help.
Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
(My suggestion for Apple is that iTunes and Voice Memo need a big usability upgrade.)

In the music part of your iphone in itunes, uncheck the box for syncing voice memos. Then apply changes. Check that it is all gone on your iphone. Go back to itunes and check the box for voice memos and sync. Itunes would copy the voice memos back to your iphone in the process.
that worked for me. +Don't forget to update to ios 6 latest, as apple fixed (at least improved) the bug causing wrongly sync music/voice memos not appearing.

Business contacts not syncing wiht iPhone

I have contacts in Address Book that don't show up on my iPhone. They are specifically marked as a business and not a person. Any ideas on why they don't sync over to my 3G iPhone running the latest software?

Backup Contacts not syncing into Iphone

I had to get a new Iphone yesterday due to my first one going bust. The Apple store assured me that as long as I had synced my old phone when I activated the new phone my backup contacts would show up. That has not been the case. I am near my wits end and I have no idea what to do. I think I found the backup when I search in the PC, but it is not showing up in the Edit-Preferences-Sync. I am somewhat computer literate, but somewhat not. I will put some screenshots for you guys to look at. I appreciate any help you can offer. I will even send you my home # if you would like to try and walk me through the issue.

One thing to try is to create a new folder on your desktop or my pictures.
Copy and paste a few pictures to that folder.
Now open itunes and connect the iphone.
Go to the photos tab and set the photos to sync with a particular folder.
Then click apply in the bottom right corner.
Now the iphone is set to sync photos only with that folder, so any thing added will sync and anything removed will be deleted from the iphone.
Also, any folders you create in the iphone pictures folder will show up as an album on your iphone.

A question I was unable to get an answer from anyone @ the 5th Ave NYC Apple store:
We have 2 iPhones synced separately to 1 iTunes account/library on the Home iMac, using the same user account on the iMac too.
If we sync Notes, do 2 separate versions of Notes appear in Mail, or are the Notes merged/combined and the synced back to both phones as 1?
i'd prefer to keep both our version of notes - I'm sure my wife doesn't want my cr*p on her phone and I certainly don't want her ramblings on mine...

Contacts added to On My Mac don't sync, add it to the iCloud account, on your Mac.

Ical on iphone does not sync with ical on mac, but the mac does it!

My ical on my iphone does not sync with ical on mac using MobileMe, but reverse it works very well.
so typing an new event in ical on my phone will NOT appear in ical at my computer. Typing a new event on my mac, than within 10 seconds it appears on my phone.
anybody know how to resolve this? never had the problem before
problem 2: ical on my iphone seems to duplicate a lot of events. Non of them are duplicated on my computer.

I have solved my problem - don't know if yours is the same. I noticed on iPhone, when I listed the calendars there are two sections: the top line showed "All Calendars ->"; when I click on that I get duplicate entries for everything.
Below that is:
"From My Mac.
"All from My Mac ->", followed by a list of individual calendars. When I clicked on that I got single entries.
This led me to realize that in my Settings ->Accounts I had the old "...mac.com" a/c and new "..me.com" a/c. I had thought it didn't matter.
Once I eliminated the "mac.com" A/c, I had only one set of calendars.

Call AppleCare and ask them if they still have an available copy or check on Amazon, eBay, etc. If your computer will support it you will be better off buying a retail copy of Snow Leopard instead.

Contacts not syncing either way

I just noticed that my contacts are syncing -- either way.
I added a new contact to phone yesterday and have synced phone twice. New contact doesn't appear on my Mac.
So I changed one of the contacts on my Mac and synced again. The change didn't appear in the phone.
Are there any fixes for this? Thanks/

same problem here: iPhone does not sync contacts any more, either way. I've searched Discussions, reinstalled iTunes after having deleted prefs and cache, reinitialised iSync history, restaured iPhone to factory setting, unlocked again with Ziphone 3.0, checked New phone in iTunes, nothing nothing nothing: no contacts were transferred from my Mac to the iPhone. I've tried to back up and erase my Addressbook: useless. I've tried adding a single contact. not synced. I've checked, and I don't have any particular custom filed on my Addressbook. I've noticed that on iTunes the contacts groups that I have on my AB, are not seen and checkable on the INFO tab, sync contacts section. It's like iTunes and AddressBook are not "communicating".
I can't believe such a vital function cannot work! and I have no clue what do to, since I refuse to reinstall Leopard for such an issue, too much of an hassle!
