  • Contacts not syncing either way

I just noticed that my contacts are syncing -- either way.
I added a new contact to phone yesterday and have synced phone twice. New contact doesn't appear on my Mac.
So I changed one of the contacts on my Mac and synced again. The change didn't appear in the phone.
Are there any fixes for this? Thanks/

    Hi,
same problem here: iPhone does not sync contacts any more, either way. I've searched Discussions, reinstalled iTunes after having deleted prefs and cache, reinitialised iSync history, restaured iPhone to factory setting, unlocked again with Ziphone 3.0, checked New phone in iTunes, nothing nothing nothing: no contacts were transferred from my Mac to the iPhone. I've tried to back up and erase my Addressbook: useless. I've tried adding a single contact. not synced. I've checked, and I don't have any particular custom filed on my Addressbook. I've noticed that on iTunes the contacts groups that I have on my AB, are not seen and checkable on the INFO tab, sync contacts section. It's like iTunes and AddressBook are not "communicating".
I can't believe such a vital function cannot work! and I have no clue what do to, since I refuse to reinstall Leopard for such an issue, too much of an hassle!
    Please, help!

  • Contacts not synced - perform a repair installatio...

Just syncing contacts with Ovi Suite and it comes up with a failure message. Okay fine, but it's telling me to effectively reinstall Ovi Suite to fix it!
"Contacts not synced - Perform a repair installation of your Nokia Ovi Suite Then sync again. Error code: 83950003"
Seems it knows there's a specific bug and rather than fix it properly or provide a neat user experience so it's fixed under the hood, they just go for making the user do something they should never need to do.

I have seen this mostly happening due to Nokia Connectivity cable not working. Please try the steps provided below, might work.
    1. Disconnect your phone from PC if connected.
2 .Open Control Panel and go to ‘Programs and Features’
    3. From the list of available programs, choose ‘Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver’
    4. Click on the ‘Change’ button on top toolbar.
    5. In the setup dialog box that pops up next, choose ‘Repair’ and select ok. Wait for setup to complete.
    6. Restart the computer if prompted.
    7. Now connect your phone to the PC. Ovi suite (hopefully) should detect your mobile properly now and sync correctly .

  • HT1692 iPhone shows duplicate contacts and categories and will not sync. help

Contacts are not syncing, iphone has duplicates in contacts and groups and I don't seam to be able to over-ride or replace duplicates.
    Have any Ideas?

That's usually a USB timing error. I would unplug the phone and replug it in, also try different USB ports and cords if you've got 'em. Make sure your iTunes program is up to date as well

  • All contacts not syncing with curve 8900 and desktop 7

I've been trying this for a year and I've had no success. This 8900 is my 4th Blackberry. While I've done backups with the others this is the first time I've tried to sync the info. When I first synced I thought everything was OK, but then I noticed a lot of the contacts didnt sync. A lot of iportant ones. I've tried everything and hit a wall. I've gone thru all the 395 contacts, deleted a bunch, fixed a bunch and made everything ready. I've talked to Microsoft, AT&T and the BB folks and still nothing. When I synced it to my PC, 179 of 395 synced and the Outlook folder size is 297kb. I just synced to my laptop and only 124 synced and the folder size is 120kb. I checked the options on the 8900 contact list and it shows my gmail address as the name of my Contact list. I've NEVER loaded my gmail info on this or any other BB. I checked my gmail and there are NO contacts listed. Never have been. I followed the instructions, went to Default Services and there is no Contacts option, only Calendar and Messaging which have my primary email ([email protected]) as the services. I have loaded info for the Netzero email, Roadrunner email and Blackberry email. Did load the Yahoo account name but never connected it. Just checked the service books and there is no gmail info. There'sno option to rename the contact list and I can't see if there are any subfolders under it. I HAVE TO GET ALL THIS INFO TO A PLACE WHERE I CAN ACCESS IT TO TRANSFER TO A NEW NON-BLACKBERRY PHONE. I've literally spent hours researching, talking on the phone and it is still not working. I lost 3 days on it this we3ek that I was supposed to be on the other coast of Florida visiting a High School beauty thats down for a week, a cousin that's fighting cancer and  a musician friend. I worked on the highest problem parts of the Space Shuttle Boosters and worked thru some seemingly impossible problems. As a result I had a mental breakdown and now have to depend on othersm whicdh I never did before. Seems like everybody that could help or might have info isn't sharing. I CAN'T BE THE FIRST PERSON THAT'S HAD THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

  • Contacts not syncing & Calendar off by 1 hour

    Specs:
    1st generation iPhone running 2.0.1
iMac 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo running 10.5.4
    iTunes 7.7.1
    Overview:
My phone is not syncing properly and it's causing me to show up to meetings at incorrect times and not have contact information with me on the road when I know it should be there.
    Contacts:
It seems to pick and choose which contacts it wants to sync from the iMac to the iPhone. It never completley syncs with the address book.
    Calendar:
The Calendar is one hour early on the iPhone then what it should be. Also, the color coated calendars are not keeping the correct color (not a big deal, but though I should mention it).
    What I've tried so far:
    Restoring the iPhone
Checking the "replace info" boxes in iTunes
    Resetting iSync History
Turning Daylight Savings on and off
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I also had success using this method, from above:
On iPhone, go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Scroll way down to Time Zone Support. Note that it's listed as GMT-4. Turn slide button to OFF, then back to ON. Note that it automatically goes to Washington, DC (GMT-5).
    Calendar appointment times now correct.
Time on the iPhone updated automatically for daylight savings, but the Time Zone Support function didn't make the one-hour shift; they ended up out by an hour from one another. Forcing Time Zone Support to refresh its settings was all that was needed.

  • HT204150 iCloud Contacts Not Syncing

    Product - iPhone 6 128GB Space Grey
    iOS - Latest 8.1.3
My contacts have stopped syncing with my iCloud account. I have done all the usual suggested steps (restored, new setup, computer back up, etc...) and then was provided a replacement phone. The issue persists.
    1. I've got three accounts setup across three Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro 2013), when I update a contact from the MacBook and check iCloud's web interface it fails to update.
    2. My iPhone contacts do not update to iCloud.
    3. My iPad contacts do not update to iCloud.
We've got an engineering request in - but this is incredibly frustrating. All accounts are set to the iCloud account for the contacts default account. iMessage and Hand-off are working fine.
    Anyone?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that contact syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your contacts are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking contact syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling contact syncing.
This user tip might help you understand how accounts work with Address Book.

  • Photos and contacts not syncing

I have selected photo folders checked for syncing, and "sync contacts with windows contacts" checked, but when syncing I do NOT have the photos or windows contacts on the iphone.
Using an iphone 4 with ios 4.

I also have this problem, just from the iPhone 5s which makes my life crazy, too.
The problem of having multiple devices doesn't seem to help, but the odd part is when everything I am doing is correct, it still doesn't sync like it used to do before iCloud, and when we had to USB wire connect the iPhone to the Laptop to make contacts sync.
Might I add that I am not using MAIL on my LAPTOP?
but ?Britty sounds like her issue is easier as gmail sometimes can create duplicates so you are in good if you are not having that problem or nightmare...
IF ANYONE ELSE can PLEASE ADD to this THREAD? I would be thankful
as there seems to be a TRENDING on iPhone 5s not syncing with other devices or backwards.....(I have added contacts to the iPhone 5s and they never get added to the iCloud or the iPad or the Addressbook or CONTACTS on the LAPTOP....
This should be working and I have checked the CONTACTS on the laptop GROUPS , iCloud, vs ALL ON MY MAC
it just isn't syncing and in some cases I am getting a WEB DAV error or CAL error...-1
what is that? iCloud will not sync all contacts?
    something is crazy
but I want to remain at 10.8 MOUNTAIN LION and not upgrade to MAVERICKS......or use MAIL on my LAPTOP...just CONTACTS ONLY......

  • New Yahoo contact NOT syncing

    Hi
I am ready to pull my hair out! I have spent the last hour trying to figure out why a new contact in my Yahoo Contacts is NOT showing up in Contacts in my ITouch (16 GB). If I add, e.g. a phone number to an already existing contact, then sync, it shows up in my Itouch Contacts. But I cannot get this new contact in, even though I have added phone numbers and addresses. I enter the info in Yahoo, then I connect my itouch via itunes, go to Info tab where "Sync contacts with Yahoo Address book" is checked, no I haven't changed my password, click the SYNC button below, it syncs, but the new contact is not in my itouch. I then went to the bottom of the info tab and clicked ADVANCED Contacts, then apply, and that didn't work either. Any ideas....please!
    Ruth

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but i was running into a similar problem and it was because I had a few birthdays listed for some of my contacts and did not include a year with the birth date. These contacts would not sync to my iphone. Once I removed these birthdays, they synced fine after that. Other contacts that had birthdates but included the year always synced fine.

  • ICal, contacts not syncing since Mountain Lion upgrade

    Greetings,
I upgraded my iMac directly from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion a few weeks ago. Since then, Apple pushed OSX 10.8.1 which is what I am currently running.
Since upgrading to 10.8, my iTouch (software: 4.2.1) is not syncing properly. I'm having problems with both Contacts and iCal.
Contacts does not sync at all.
The iCal issue is strange. iCal appears to sync, but everything that was previously on the calendar and everything I enter into the calendar on my iMac cannot be edited on my iTouch. If I create a new iCal entry on the iTouch, I can edit it on both the iTouch and iMac.
I've googled Mountain Lion-related sync issues and have seen a lot of discussions related to this. But I haven't come across a solution that fixes my problems.
Before I upgraded the iMac to Mountain Lion, the syncs were flawless.
I feel like I've been sucked back into PC ****.
I don't live near an Apple store, and the few independent Apple dealerships nearby haven't been able to help.
Can anyone help? Is Apple working on a fix to this?
    Thanks and regards,
    Jerry

I'm having a similar issue too since upgrading to 10.8.1 on my iMac and MacBook Pro.
My contacts are no longer syncing and my groups have gone missing.
Occasionally the Contacts indicates it can't complete the process because of a coreDAVerror.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks,
    Mark

  • IMessage contacts not synced- read all previous threads

Hello, i am on a 2011 MBP operating on OSX Yosemite 10.10.1
I only have numbers in my Immessage conversations, instead of contacts like on my iPhone and iPad. I have iCloud synced on everything. Any ideas or fixes are greatly appreciated.

    Please try the following…

  • Individual contacts not sync'ed

I have an iPhone 3GS that was recently upgraded to iOS 4 and have experienced contact syncing issues since. I sync my iPhone & MacBook Pro (10.6.4) using USB connection and have a few new contacts on my iPhone not moved to my MacBook Pro, and a few new contacts on my MacBook Pro not moved to my iPhone when I use the iTunes sync capability.
I have even tried to use the iTunes to force sync the iPhone from the MacBook Pro to no avail. I have also made sure the AddressBook app was closed (not just suspended in the background) on the iPhone and also closed on the MacBook Pro.
I tend to believe it is a iOS 4 issue, so I did not try syncing using MobileMe. I do not sync my contacts via MobileMe, just my calendars.
Any confirmation that iOS 4 is the issue? Suggestions?
