Contacts not visible in SMS inbox

Yesterday i did a reset on my nokia N97 to set it back to the factory settings. I copied my contacts to the phone memory, but now when I get a text message I only see the phone number instead of the name attached to it. The names are in the Contacts, and when i reply on the number from my inbox, the correct name instead of the phone number is displayed in my outbox. Also when the same person calls me you see the correct name.
Can someone help me or is it just a adjustment I have to make?

Hi Friend,
Did you make groups of contacts? If yes, the bottom "Group" will appear in Contacts app, so tap and select all the groups to see the full contact list.

  • E51 - contacts not visible

    Hi there
    I have an E51 and am not sure what has happened but one minute all my contacts were visible and now they are not. If a person whose details I have stored in my phone memory calls me I can see their details however I cannot retrieve contact information from the phone. Help! I have installed the latest firmware, removed the battery and SIM etc etc but no luck

  • Contacts not visible after moving contacts from SI...

    I have express music 5310. i had moved my contacts from sim to phone memory. After which these contacts are not visible. These are not available on the sim anymore. They are not visible on contact lists too..
    Any help on retrieving these would be very helpful

    In contacts settings set the phone contacts to phone contacts only is it now set to both?

  • 8330 - Contacts Not Visible In Address Book

    Good afternoonn all!
    I'm having a problem with my Address Book - my contacts are "there" (in the Address Book options it shows 129), but their not visible when I open my address book.  If I dial out or send a message, or receive a call or e-mail, the contact's information shows up (i.e. dialing 555-555-1234 shows up as John Smith), but is not readily availble in the address book.  I've switched between Business and Personal contacts, but none are in either group.
    As far as I know, there was nothing that I did "out of the ordinary" before this issue crept up.

    I am having a problem with my 8310 that sounds the same as yours -- I have it synched to my outlook with enterprise server, and I now cannot add any new names without it clearing half the alphabet. It started a few months ago when I'd try to add a colleague and check off MM which is my category for work people. If I wrote the company name (which starts with M) in the persons field, then when I saved the contact, and viewed all the contacts in a list alphabetical, and hit "m" to see all the M's, it would only show that last person I put in - and no other names. I'd hit N, P, J, etc, and it would say "no entries found" even though there are 575 entries in my phone. I tried eliminating fields and discovered that If their name started with M, it would be a problem... sometimes it was the company name, so I'd leave that blank and it would solve the problem. HOWEVER, now it's at the point where I can't even add someone's name - no phone, no email, no company, no category - just their name - and they are listed before the A's in my contact list - and make it so half the alphabel brings up no contacts. This happens no matter if it was done on my computer screen or in the blackberry itself. I am extremely frustrated and have resorted to deleting all new contacts once I've added them because they cause this problem. I consider myself fairly computer/bb literate, and have been clearing all filters and categories. Nothing seems to solve it - and this happened in my older 8310 too (that one got exchanged due to an email problem). HELP

         I am facing a problem related to UWL. we have upgraded the patch level of EP 7.0 from SP10 to SP15. Now problem is occuring in ESS Inbox (UWL) as Our 'inbox' in the portal is basically a replication of the workflow inbox  in R/3. i am able to apply for leaves or claims activities (workflow) properly but at the end of approver, mail  is not coming in ESS Inbox (portal).

    I m also facing the same probelm. I configured UWL and also deployed SONiC. Fortunately SONiC doesnt support SP15.

    AFter clicnkg the contacts icon and then making sure (use folders view in Windows Explorer so that you see the folder tree on the left side in your screen), go and highlight the conects folder, then locate the phone and arrow icon in the upper part of the screen, press it, sync should start

  • Contacts not showing with SMS

    I have this annoying this that some texts I receive are displaying the senders name as it appears in facebook and if the sender is not in facebook, it shows as unknown sender. It annoys because I have all the contacts in the hotmail people folder, I can actually see all the contacts when I search on the phone but for some reason, the sms are not picking the name.

    I would check to insure you have the latest version of Network+ settings app. This replaces the old calls+sms settings app. You can check with an app called LUMIA Pusher, availble in the Windows Phone Store.

    We have one workitem which is related to 'Deadline Reached'.  We can see 5 agents for this work items.
    But customer is saying that it is visible only for 1 user, rest 4 can not see.
    Even they can not see the 'Deadline Reched' folder in their inbox. We initially thought user could have Reserved he work items but t
    he does not.
    What can be the reason , please do let us know and how to rectify this.

    Look in the workflow log (SWI1) and/or in SWI5 to see what happened.
    What has probably happened is that one user has Reserved it. Then he is the only one who can see it.
    An Administrator can "replace" (un-reserve) the workitem via SWIA.

    There is no need to trigger it and it will be populated in the workitem created as part of the task.

  • Synchronised contacts not visible in Phone Browser

    Started Nokia 6300 + PCSuite 6.84. After synchronization with Outlook 2003 I got all the contacts from PC to 6300 succsefully. But I do not see them in Phone Browser, so there is no possibility to adjust them directly. The only contacts I can see are the ones entered manually in the phone itself. Is there any solution to that?

  • Contacts not receiving text/sms from VZW iPhone 5

    So, I switched from Att and everything is working great except for a few sms not getting through.  My Friend is on the Viaero networka nd has a SG3.  Sometimes they  get them and most of the time they dont.  Ive called VZW and they blame att  and the imessage..  Ive turned imessage on and off and it still doesn't work.  Anyone else havign this issue or know of a fix?

    iMessage has nothing to do with SMS. SMS is exchanged over the carrier's cellular network only - the same network as calls. "Dumb"phones or phones not in the smart phone category that don't have internet access via the carrier's cellular data or internet network can exchange SMS.
    If an SMS is successfully sent, what happens to the message after that has nothing to do with the cell phone that sent the message.
    Are the problem SMS not successfuly sent, or is there an red indicator on the message indicating it was not sent?
