Contacts screen changes to black background

What causes the contacts to switch to a black background with blue and white text. I actually prefer it to the default but have no idea what action causes it to change then change back. It seems completely random. No, its not the invert colors option under accesability, this chage only occurs to the contacts list, and I'm not sure its in response to any particular thing I'm doing.

Guess I should have mentioned its a 5s with OS 7.1 the most recent update

  • Why can`t you change the black background behind icons

how stupid you could even change the background on the old school nokia phones from 1998.
this should be something apple lets us do on the next release

  • How do I change a black background to red in Aperture?

    Hello!
I'm a little familiar with Aperture, but have recently encountered something I'm not sure how to do!
Using a long shutter speed and a light I took a picture of some floating words. I would like to change the black background to red without changing the white words. is Aperture capable of doing this? Any tips on how?

Aperture is not the tool for this.  Aperture is designed to provide a photographer a non-destructive RAW workflow:  you import files created by digital cameras, organize, store, and develop them into the best photographic images they can be, and then print them or create share-able files from them.
What you want to do goes beyond this general remit.  It is more properly in the realm of graphics programs, which start with graphics files and change them and combine them to make new graphics files.
Any modern graphics program will allow you to easily do what you want.  (You can probably do it in OS X's Preview app.)

  • Printing Contact Sheet on a black background

    Hello,
I would like to print a contact sheet on a black background.
    Is it possible?
I have various type of photo 6x6 3x2 but also 4x3 or 1x3 and the space between these photo on the contact sheet is white... and not black as I think it should be to magnify the result of printing a contact sheet...
    Thanks

Many thanks, but I have diferrent photo format (2x3, 4x3,1x1,1x3) so I still have white layout.
If I could filter my collection by photo format it could be great and I could print a contact sheet with a thick black border to make it look like a real contact sheet... but I do not find how to organize my photo by format (only possible to classify them by Portrait or Landscape mode).
Anyway, the print layout is a missing feature in LR (you have it in Bridge CS).
    Bye.

  • Tecra M2 - screen changes to pink background

Hi - this is my first message and I would appreciate some guidance.
Sometimes when I switch the notebook on, and other times in the middle of working, the white background on the screen changes to pink. The screen then looks blurred although everything else seems to be working OK.
I tried tapping near the hinge, which seemed to correct the colour on one occasion.
Do I need to return my M2 to an authorised service provider?
    Many thanks.

You do need to return the unit to your ASP for assistance, but from the sounds of it you have a loose cable flat which connects your display to your motherboard. A job that takes all of 15 minutes to fix. Should not be an issue for your ASP to fix it up real fast.

  • How can I change the black background around my photos in iMovie?

I hope you geniuses can help me with this. I am making a slide show in iMovie, but any portrait style photo has a wide black background. I've spent far too many hours trying to fix it (calling Apple Support etc.) but I'm still stumped.
One thought-- if I could convert my jpgs to a video file I could layer them because I movie allows you to layer video files over backgrounds.
Any ideas for me? Much appreciated. Michelle

Why not use one of the many graphic editing programs that are available (some are free) to create a new image with the desired background and aspect ratio with your portrait image in the middle?

P.S. Actually the best results would be to use Aperture but that's another 80 bucks.

  • How do you change the black background in full screen edit?

I want to change the background colour in fullscreen edit from black to white. Can this be done?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
No. The general theory is that the pics are easier to edit against black.

  • Selection Screen Change & Impact on background scheduled reports

    Hi,
I have modified the selection screen of a report program by adding additional selection criteria. This report is background scheduled and runs several times with different variants in a day. I am worried that the background jobs may fail in Production if the latest changes are moved. But I think, background jobs will not fails unless the selection criteria that are part of variants that used in the background jobs not modified. But not sure. I just want to make sure, I am doing correct thing.
Please let me know your thoughts. Appreciate your help!
    Thanks,
    Kannan.

    I don't think so.
But of course you will have to update the variants to reflect the new selections.

When looking at my pictures, the background is grey, but when I double click them, (big size) the background becomes black. So I don't see the outline of some pictures. Can you change that background?

I've been having a few problems with freezing in my CAD programme. Today I sort of stopped it but the screen image became all fragmented. I have restarted several times but now the desktop back ground is orange rather than blue & the icons are black. Is this an Nvidia problem & if so how can i fix it.
    thanks  AJ

whoops I just solved it! There is a white on black screen preference  but its not under Displays its under Universal Acess. V/relieved

  • Why did my sign in screen change from black to red?

For no obvious reason (which frustrates me the most out of any computer issue...) my computer sign in screen has changed from back to a pale red color. Though the computer still seems to be working properly *(except a bug change in iPhoto), I want to know if something bad is coming. People usually want to know why something they paid for is changing. Do I need to worry?
    * iPhoto has decided to not import my new photos from my card and reader. It got started, and somewhere on the way sat there with nothing to show something was working.... the whirling thing or anything at all. When checking on it, by clicking on "eject" or trying to leave iPhoto, or even turn the computer off, it popped up a message saying to was still importing photos. It stayed like that for a day. I had to force quit but that's not an answer .What's going on? Can I trust importing photos again?

    G5 Dual 2, G4 1.33 & 450, 2 iMacs, G3 Biege   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

    Hi Joseph,
The only option I know of changing the background color is when you export an Album as a Quicktime file.

  • Sometimes my iMac starts with white lettering across the screen on a black ground and after switching off for a few seconds starts on ok ! Any ideas

Sometimes my iMac starts up with white lettering acrossthe screen on a black background - when it's switched off for a few seconds it starts up ok. Can anyone tell me why this happens ?

I have read on here that a PRAM reset can cure this problem:
    Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.
