Contacts synching only contacts I make recent changes

Hi,
I have a Microsoft exchange online account. When in Contacts I disable it I do have in All Contacts just two names, they are OS users I guess. If I enable the exchange account in Contacts for sync, I do have in All contacts, almost all my contact but only with emails, not visualising any phone number while in the subdirectory Exchange -> Contacts I see few contacts, only those I made changes after sync has been activated, with correct features including phone numbers.
In few words in All Contacts I do have thousand of contacts without phone numbers, only email and in Exchange -> Contacts I have 6 contacts.
Any suggest? There is any field name issue?

Thanks Eric, but that was already turned on. I just now tried turning it off and on again, no change. Actually, I"m more interested in seeing the names than the pictures. I now only see the phone numbers and generic avatars where pics would be.

[Solved] Vim: Can only undo most recent change

Howdy-ha, folks. So I've been (very) gradually making the transition from Geany to Vim over several months, mostly without issue. However, I've been reluctant to use Vim for anything other than quick, simple operations for one reason: The "u" key will only undo the most recent change, as though there aren't any other changes in the history. Hitting "u" a second time reverses the "undo" command, so that repeatedly hitting it will just remove and add the same small change over and over again. No matter how much time I spend looking into this it seems I'm the only person who's ever had this problem, and it occurs regardless of whether /etc/vimrc and ~/.vimrc exist. As a result, I can't do any complex editing for fear of botching something and needing to spend hours backtracing my mistakes. Any help on this is appreciated.

That would likely be the issue: I overwrote the default with my own config file, without including runtime! archlinux.vim in my own config. As far as I can tell, things are working as both user and root. I suppose I should have paid more attention, but then again, there's no mention in the Arch wiki entry about not altering/deleting any of those files:

How can I synch ONLY the default 'contacts' folder in Outlook 2003?

I am using Outlook 2003 SP3. In my 'contacts' menu I have 3 folders: 'Contacts', 'iPhone' and 'Old.' I created 'iPhone' and 'Old' folders and 'Contacts' was the default folder. When I synch my 3G iPhone with Outlook I want to synch ONLY the default 'contacts' folder. But I can't seem to do this. My options are to synch all folders or a selection of non-default folders (i.e., anything but 'Contacts.')
Does this make sense? I don't want to synch anything in the 'old' folder to my iphone. But I also don't want to move all of my current contacts to a special folder just so I can synch only these items.
So when I synch my iPhone I want it to limit the synching to only the default 'contacts' folder.
Is there a way to do this?

Open one of the folders that keeps changing. Set it to the view mode you prefer. Press Command-J (Show View Options in View menu).
At the top of the View Options screen is an item which allows one to set "Always open in xxx view". Chekmark that.
Repeat for each folder you want.
This is a per-folder setting. Note that the View Options screen is 'live" - you can leave it open, and as you open successive folders it will display the settings for each in turn.

I'd say your best bet is to try to regain access to your old account. Call 1-800-MY-APPLE, and ask to talk to the account security team. Hopefully they can verify you are the account owner, and then reset the password for you.

It sounds like you might need to contact Yahoo! if you aren't able to setup your email account as a new account after deleting it.

I thought that at first, but I have text this person before and had received responses in a timely manner. Its just weird that it all of a sudden removed their name.

You can change the Print Store location from iTaly to Belium in iPhoto's Advanced preference pane:
Then try to order. HOWEVER, you still may not be able to order. Over here in the States the shipping address must be in the same country as the billing address of the credit card used. It may be the same way over in Europe.

Log into icloud.com and then click on the Contacts icon. If the list is empty, then it's gone.

Are they being deleted from all devices, or just one?
Perhaps it might be worthwhile to just toggle contacts off, then back on, in iCloud.

Question about synching gmail contacts with address book

I recently discovered that it is possible to synch gmail contacts with apple addressbook. I also found out this feature only works if you have an iphone or an ipod touch. Unfortunatly, I don't have either. I then discovered there was a work around for this:

Latest Desktop update no help with Contacts synch problem!

I had hoped that the latest update would solve the greyed out Contacts synch option. No such luck! I have not been able to synch contacts for the past 3 months.
And you wonder why Blackberry stock continues to fall? This will probably be my last Blackberry if something doesn't change soon!

In any event, also not knowing how exactly you installed the latest Desktop Software, I can't be sure if you did it totally "clean" or not...if you want to try that, here's a process that's worked for some folks:

Contacts synch issue

I have my contacts synched via iCloud on 3 Macs and 2 iPhones and 1 iPad. Whenever I make a new contact of any (except one) device - they show up on all as it should. But when creating a contact on one iPhone, it is only on that iPhone. But that iPhone does sync contacts from the other devices. Also, if I put in a contact on another device but change something on that one iPhone, that will synch back to the other. Only new contacts created do not synch. Any idea?

On the phone you're having this problem with, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section) and set the default to iCloud. Then do a test contact and see if it syncs to your other devices now.
