Contacts Will Not Open

Using Droid X System version 2.3.340 Android version 2.2.1
Love my Droid X but for the past week i have not been able to open contacts. I can view contacts from the phone tab but am not able to open the function to make changes or add new contacts. Ive rebooted and also removed the battery and replaced. Havent added any new apps that i can remember over that time just updateing them as they come thru. Any suggestions.....i'm at my wits end...thanks

To play it safe export contacts from Google if you dont have them backed up before doing this because I am unsure if this will effect contacts. I dont think it should.
Have you tried clearing the cache on the dialer app? It will probally be listed as BlurPhone or Dialer.
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All Tab > Dialer and Dialer Storage < Clear Data.
UPDATE: I tried this and is causes more issues than helps... Cause FC ossues.. Ill research other solutions.
Does the device give any errors when you attemp to edit contacts?
IF ALL FAILS A HARD RESET IS A OPTION..

Try force-closing all recently used apps, then reset it again: from the home screen double-tap the home button, tap and hold any app in the list at the bottom until they all start to wiggle, tap next to every app in the list to close them. Then reset your iPad again as you did before. Any change?

The App Store application isn't found in your HD/Applications folder?
What is this 10.6.6 disk image and where did you find it? The App Store started with 10.6.6 but your combo update should have also includedd it.

IPad 2 contacts will not open after IOS5, also Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendar crashes out to home page?

Upgraded new Ipad2 to IOS5.0.1.Unable to open Contacts.... closes instantly. Also unable to access Mail,Contacts, Calendars in Settings.
Turned on iCloud and attempted to turn on Contacts (solution suggested elsewhere). Its asks if 'Merge Contacts'. Selecting 'Merge' crashes settings back to homepage.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have the same problem. This was a very expensive Christmas present to myself. I spent Christmas morning setting it up & updating the software only to find that clicking the “mail, contacts etc.” in settings sends me straight back to the home screen. Does anyone at Apple read these forums? Although I have been using computers for years, on a recommendation from an Apple user this was my first Apple purchase, at this rate it will be my last.What happens if "Restore" in iTunes is used?

E66 - Contacts will not open

Hi Guys,
Decided to upgrade my e66 to the latest firmware, all went ok and restored my previous data back onto the phone everything still working ok, but now I have noticed I cannot get into my contacts they all still exist but when I press the contact key or go into the communication menu and press contacts nothing happens.
The contacts all exist as when I go into write a new sms I can see all the contacts. I've tried restoring the last factory settings but this had made no difference.
Anyone with any ideas out there? Many thanks....

Same proble here, although the Firefox system requirements says it is OK to have PowerPC G3 G4 or G5 ( I have G5 2GHZ)
My solution; very simply use timemachine to restore the previous Frefox 3.x

You need to reset your iPad by holding down the home and also the sleep button at the same time till the Apple logo appears then let it wake up.

I can not access my emails. I updated my password on my PC and tried to updated my password for my email account on my iPad but when I go to the account settings page and tap on "mail, contacts, calendar" tab it will not open. Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. There are two options to assist with the issue, Reset All Settings or backup and restore the device and setup as new.
To Reset All Settings on the device: Settings > General > Reset All Settings

I can use icloud.com in IE10 but the odd thing is that I believe iCloud in not compliant with IE10 and needs to run in Compatibility mode. But for some reason IE10 see's it as compliant. You can go into the Compatibility mode through Compatibility view settings and manually addin icloud.com. As for icloud in my opinion its really forgot about the rest of the world that does not use a Mac, iPhone or iPad. I cannot get the settings to work with icloud with any Android device, or using Chrome browser even though selecting display desktop site gets you a slightly broken icloud.com on Chrome browser in Android. Although many things dont work right. Same goes for IE10 as I have expieienced with crating a email message. It appears as though the backspace after the first line of a message does not work and I could not reposition cursor either. I am so glad I don't have to use icloud for much because I doubt I could deal with it as it is now. I guess another option is to try Chrome on your PC or Firefox?
Chrome should work as it is a WebKit based browser as is Safari. If iCloud works with Safari it should work with Chrome. But anymore their is no guarantee's.

Have you an iCloud email address? Try deleting it temporarily.
