Container element value does not display

Hi,
I am facing a strange issue.
There is one step in my custom workflow which sends sap mail. The subject of the e-mail has a container element &notif&. When I check the workflow log this container element gets set with a value just before this step and so I expect it to be displayed in the e-mail .
But the issue is i am getting the mail in my inbox which says ....&notif& ......
i.e Instead of displaying the value of this container it displays the text &notif&.
The same container element is used in the same e-mail message body where it displays correctly.
has anyone faced this kind of an issue before?

Yes it is set to Expression.
This mail step was not created from scratch.
I just changed a few texts in the subject of this Mail step in an already existing workflow without touching the container element in the subject. But after i did this change and tested teh workflow, the container element no longer displayed any value in the subject, but it does continue to show value in the message body.
Any suggestions to solve towards this issue will be extremely helpful.

Hi Gaurav,
These are the standard task container's for the send mail step type.
No need create these container's and already they are available in the Task container.
Have you used the standard task to send the mail? If so just double click the Task ID and you can find these container's under the Container Tab.
Just delete the send mail step and create a new one. It will solve the issue.

Symptom
You have created a container element manually in a case category and you are trying to define the dataflow but in the binding editor you are receiving error message SWF_EXP_001 035 'Container element ... does not exist'.

Reason and Prerequisites
The problem only occurs if you create an invalid container element that contains one or more spaces in the element name.
Solution
Choose a valid element name that starts with a letter and contains only characters, numbers, or underscores. The following correction does insure this.

Explorer Measure Values does not display as in BW

I have developed some of the explorer reports based on BW queries. The Measure values display correctly in BW query , but the value is not displayed correctly in explorer if I add multiple dimensions in the Info space
If I add only one dimension Eg:- Calender Year in infospace the result of the explorer matches with the BW query but if I add mor ethat 1 dimesnion , if I have added Region , Country to the infospace and then drill down the result by any of teh dimesion the result does not match

PROMPT WITH DEFAULT VALUES DOES NOT DISPLAY VALUES THE FIRST TIME

Hi,
With one of our scorecard reports, when you select a division, the leader role/leader prompt picklist values do not get populated the first time. Because this is only happening in reports we have written in house, we do not see this happening to the reports that are installed as default.
Is there any workaround known for this error.

"Item Containing Primary Key Column Value" does not display records

Hello,
We are developing a new page where an "Automated Row Fetch" process is needed.
With other pages we experienced no issues. But with a new one, when defining the value for the field “Item Containing Primary Key Column Value”, Apex displays no rows.
As far as we know, Apex should display all the fields defined for the page. Is there any property which affects the fields visibility?
The affected page has textarea and text fields.

Sorry, we have already detected that the problem was at field definition.
Fields should be defined as "Source Type: Database Column". They were wrong defined.

List of values is not displayed in web inteligence report

I created a web inteligence report and put into my favourite folder. The report consist of a selectable list of values in a prompt but it does not appear in my favourites folder.
The users with administrator rights that copied this report into their own favourites folder are able to see the list of values in the prompt.
It seemed that the list of values does not display in the prompt when non administrator rights opened this report in their own favourites folder.
Anyone can figure out how to set the access rights so that non administrator can see the list of values when the web inteligence report is opened in their own folder.

I installed the latest version of iTunes (10.6.3.25) on a new Windows 7 PC. I can see ahred libraries on Shared but can't import as the line containing the Settings and Import buttons does not display. Any suggestions?

To move the iTunes library to this new computer I switched on Home Sharing and can see the other libraries on my home network. If I select tracks from a Shared library I can't import them as the strip containing "Show: All Items" and the "Settings" and "Import" buttons, does not display at the bottom of the screen. Goes straight from the list of tracks to the strip with Playlist icons and xxxx items, tttttt total time, yyyy GB.
Any suggestions for making the Import button appear?

I built a new computer which is EXTREMELY fast overclocked i7 ect and.. ITUNES DOESNT WORK
I click on itunes which ive uninstalled and reinstalled and reset the winsock AND seen if there were any errors AAAAAAND ive check the Hkey to make sure bonjur was the only one in there which it is and all that happens is my cpu goes to 25% and i cant do anything except go into the task manager and close it! ANYTHING with itunes (everything else is premium speed).

User-Defined Type does not display values in Table Data grid

I have a User defined Type that is a collection of one character VARCHAR2 values. In the Table Data grid it does not display the character values. I know on all our other Oracle development applications these values display. Is this a bug or is there a snippet to display these values?

Form does not display all records from table

Hi guys
I modified one form that was based on a signle DB table. I removed certain fields from the table and added some extra fields to that table. Then based on the new table I also modified the form and removed the text items related to old fields in the table and added new text items pointing to the new fields now. II have checked all the new items properties and they have don't seem to be wrong or so. But now the problem is the form does not display all the records from the table. before it used to display all records from the table when qureied but not now. It only certain records from the table containing all new data and also old data but the form does not display other records though I don't see any obvious discrepancy. Remember that the before doing the modifications, I have table back for the old, created another table that contained new records for the new fields, and then I inserted the old records and updated the new table data in the new table with these new table values. So this way I have got my new table. Could someone help why the new modified form fails to display all records from the new table updated table though it display some of them successfully.
Any help will be appreciated.

I have transported a workflow from one SAP installation to another.
In the new System when i checked the transported workflow it's giving an error "Container 'ZBUS2081' is not in used.
How to solve this problem . If I diagnose the problem its taking me to the screen of workflow template.
Please suggest how can i resolve this issue.

The workflow is in active state , but i dont see any such message display in source system.
I used SWU7 tcode to check for my workflow template it shows error :
Workflow definition does not exists.
At the bottom of the screen it displays : "Container element 'ZBUS2081' is not used".

Pass Container Element Value Dynamically

Hi Experts,
We are facing an issue with Workflows. Whenever I restart a WF that has already ended up in Error, I need to pass it Certain Container Element Values Dynamically as it restarts the same WF again with the same Container values and it again ends up in Error. Is it possible that I can change these values during Runtime.
I have searched few SAPNotes also but could not find some Solution. Is anyone has worked on this Scenario before please respond.
Is this Possible.. Because this is the only way how we can allow that background Process to work.

MessageChoice does not display

I have created a tableLayout inside an existing seeded page, and inside that I've created a messageChoice. The messageChoice has a Picklist View Instance and Display and Value Attributes set, and the view instance is created and attached to a custom AM. The AM is attached to the tableLayout. There is a custom controller for the tableLayout region, which I have also specified on the container cellFormat for the messageChoice.
I have checked the vo -- it does return the rows I want when run in the BC4J tester. The rows are not for update -- just for populating the picklist.
The messageChoice does not display. I don't know why, I believe I've followed the directions in the dev guide. Perhaps one of you has an idea what might prevent this from coming up?
I did notice that even though the AM for the containing cellFormat item is my custom AM, when I look at the picklist under the debugger when executing the controller's processFormRequest, I find that the view object is attached to the page's AM, not the custom AM.
I also noticed that if I access the picklist as above, the "ViewUsageName" attribute is empty. I'm guessing that this is the root of the problem, but I don't know why it should be empty if the Picklist View Instance field is populated, nor do I know whether this is in fact the primary issue.
Do I have to do something in the root AM to make sure that my AM is instantiated? If so, can this be done somewhere declaratively? If not, at what point in the root AM code do I do that?
What else might I look at to ensure that my picklist is populated and renders?

- how did you add this table layout to the seeded page ?
- you donot have to attach the controller twice once on the tableLayout and the cellformat ?
- what are you using the controller for ?
Picklist View Instance and Display and Value Attributes is enough to populate the picklist. The ViewUsagename and ViewAttributeName is used to push the user selected value back in to any given datasource. If the tableLayout has a AM then the custom AM will be automatically nested to the rootAM.

Setting the container element values

Hi Experts,
While I am trying to set the container element values, it is resulting in an error.
We are designing a leave request WF using WS12300111. We are using ABAP classes.
Inside a method, I have written the following code :
swc_set_element container 'PERNR' lv_pernr.
It is giving an error. It says 'SWC_SET_ELEMENT' not defined.
First of all i would like to know if we can use this statement in ABAP classes. If we have to set a value of a container element, how can we go about doing the same in ABAP classes.
Kindly guide me on the same.

Hi,
No, you cannot use those in the ABAP classes. (EDIT: Or you can, put it doesn't make really any sense.)
Just make exporting parameters into your method. Put your variables (PERNR, etc.) in those. Then do the binding from method to the task container (in the task editor). This way you will get the values from a method to the task container.

DataGrid does not display XML data

I am having a problem displaying XMLList data in a DataGrid.
The data is coming from a Tree control, which is receiving it
from a database using HTTPService.
The data is a list of "Job Orders" from a MySQL database,
being formatted as XML by a PHP page.
If it would be helpful to see the actual XML, a sample is

All is going well until I get to the DataGrid, which doesn't
display the data, although I know it is there as I can see it in
debug mode. I've checked the dataField property of the appropriate
DataGrid column, and it appears correct.
Following is a summary of the relevant code.

records from a MySQL database via PHP...
...Results are formatted as E4X:

selected Item of a Tree Control which displays complex XML data and
XML attributes. After the user clicks on a Tree branch, I call this

So, I just had to manually go through the selected Tree node,
copy each XML attribute into a simple Array, then ADD this Array to
an ArrayCollection being used as the DataProvider for the DataGrid.
It's not elegant, but it works and I don't have to use a Label
Function, which was getting way too complicated. I still think that
Flex should have an easier way of doing this. There probably is an
easier way, but the Flex documentation doesn't provide an easy path
to it.
I want to thank you, Tracy, for the all the help. I checked
out the examples you have at www.cflex.net and they are very
helpful. I bookmarked the site and will be using it as a resource
from now on.
