Containers paths and collections names

Hi,
i have two questions (running the shell ./dbxml):
a) when i open a container, eg /path/to/my/container.dbxml (a container which is not in my default DB environment)
with the command "openContainer /path/to/my/container.dbxml",
how do i perform an xquery then?
because if i try "query 'collection("/path/to/my/container.dbxml")/*' ",
i get the error:
stdin:8: query failed, Error: Cannot resolve container: /path/to/my/container.dbxml. Container not open and auto-open is not enabled. Container may not exist.
But my container does exist!
(i dont want to use aliases)
b) how do we get document names within a collection?

a) why don't you just use "collection()" when you opened a container? You don't have to provide a path to it once you've opened it
b) collection()/dbxml:metadata('dbxml:name')

Get path and file name from Bfile

I'm using Bfile to store images in a database. Is there a way to get the path and file name of the image from Bfile, because I need to pass that information into an image processing function.

Path and file name

I am running Illustrator CS4 on Windows XP.
I have obtained a script that inserts the file name in the bottom left of the page

var pointTextRef = app.activeDocument.textFrames.add();
pointTextRef.contents = app.activeDocument.name;
pointTextRef.top = 20;
pointTextRef.left = 10;

What I would like is that it inserts the path name as well ie
"c:\temp\file.ai"
rather than just the file name "file.ai"
Is there anyone out there who can help me.

Execute the function module BBP_PROCDOC_ITEM_GETDETAIL by providing the item guid,object type . Now it will populate the et_attach importing parameter with the attatchement details.
In the ET_ATTATCH internal table , the field PHIO_FNAME/PHIO_PATH_FILE provides the physical storage location of the document.

I have a fillable pdf form that I would like to have a script that adds the path and file name to the form. This script would be in a field at the end of the document.
I am a newbie to javascript and formcalc. The script will be the only one in the form.

I have a sample that attach a file to the PDF and write in a text field the file name. I don´t know how to get the full path and it only works in Acrobat. To work in Adobe Reader is necessary the LC Reader Extensions to give some special permissions to the document. But, regard this, you still want the sample send me a email to [email protected]

Max length of VI file paths and file names

Is there a maximum allowed length of VI file paths and file names in LabVIEW? I'm running LV 6.0.2i on NT and is trying to save a VI inside a LLB and LabVIEW crashes each time. I have also tried to copy the VI from the LLB to a temp folder with the Librarian VI, but LabVIEW crashes as well. The total length of the file path is around 260 characters and I strongly suspect the file path length in combination with LLB because when I use a shorter path the problem disappear. If I use a long path without LLB (just regular VIs) a warning appear "Invalid file name" instead of LabVIEW crashing.
Does anybody know the solution to this problem or must I use shorter filepaths? Perhaps it depends on which platform I am running

I believe windows has a 255 character pathname (file+path) limit. We once
had that problem because we had a long filename and a longer pathname.
Moved the directory up a couple levels and problem solved.

I am using LSMW for creating the BOM of a material .
I am getting problem at step 7 , saying the logical path is pointing to physical directory .
Then i did some R & D . I created the logical path and logical file name using transaction FILE . Then i got the physical path using FM file_get_name.
But when i give those logical path and logical file names , still i am getting prob.... at step 7 of lsmw.
Pls let me know . I did my best unti l now ....

I have a schema with a deep hierarchy that I am running xmlbeans on. Initially
it failed to build because it couldn't find some of the class files it had generated.
It turned out that the path and filename was too long for Windows XP to handle
and moving the directory I was running the buiild to the root directory allowed
the build to complete. Unfortunately I have another schema which includes the
first one. It also has quite a long namespace. Is there any way of changing the
filename convention of the class files so that it doesn't use the XML node hierarchy
for its names?
If not it puts a serious limit on its use with real world schemas.

Physical path and Logical name in File adapter

Hi All-
I am using a file adapter, in which i need to specify the physical path or logical path.
In dev environment my file adapter's input path is /c01/interface/dev/input, but in my test environment it is /u01/interface/test/input.
So everytime I have to change the path and deploy it in two different environment.
I am using unix environment, is there any way i can use some environmental variable $INPUT_DIR and use it in logical name so that in logical name i can use as $INPUT_DIR/input, where in dev $INPUT_DIR will be /c01/interface/dev and in test environment it is /u01/interface/test.
I have tried this but there is still some probelm, I want to know is the approach I am using is correct? or is there any other solution for it?

1. physical name: use a specific directory (e.g. /u01/....
2. logical name: use a LogicalDirectory like "InputFileDir" and rewrite this inside the bpel.xml

How to excute a power shell script to remote machine using power shell script folder path and script name

Let say, I have 3 parameters.
1. Script FolderPath (Remote path for e.g \\RD101\ScriptSharedFolder Here RD101 is one server)
2. Script Name(StopAllService.ps1)
3. Server Name (RD45)
I want to execute a powershell scritp in my local machine(Test1) and in that script I want to pass the above three parameters.Now I want to excute the StopAllService.ps1 script into RD45 server. But the script is available in RD101 machine.
So What I want to here How can we do this ? I have script name and script folder path and target execution server name.
Pls giude me or give me the script.

You got 2 solutions for your problem:
1- If you have permission to run scripts in the remote computer without specifying your credential,
then, the first reply solve your problem.
2- If you have permission to run scripts in the remote computer
having to specify your credential, l then,
my solution solves your problem.
If the remote computer requires signed scripts only, you need signed script. Period. Or are you trying to break remote computer security?
If you need signed script, there's no psdrive that'll circumvent such requirement.
The problem is that the execution policy is set to "RemoteSigned". Using the URL explicitly tags that script as being from a remote source, and the policy blocks it. The PSDrive provides a local reference for the script. It does not
sign the script but the local drive reference may prevent it from being blocked for being from a remote source. I'll test that later.
Script signing is not and should never be considered a security measure. It is easily circumvented by running the script using powershell.exe, and using the -ExecutionPolicy parameter to override whatever the local execution policy setting is.
