Contcts gone from iPhone

So the other day my skype on my iPhone started to play up. I've got the update and everything but I was getting notifications from all my contacts and groups, but when I went to check them, none of the messages were there! I didn't know what to do so I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it, hoping it would do something, but now most of my contacts and recent conversations are gone apart from a few. I contacted someone from my group on Pm, asking them to delete me and then add me back into the chat but that didn't seem to do anything. We then decided to make new group with the people to see if that would make a different but it didn't. I ws getting push notifictions for the group, but whenever I click on the notifs, the group comes up as empty with noone on the group and there are no messages. I went on skype on my computer and it worked perfectly so i tried to reinstall Skype again on my phone and it was the same, and i'm a bit confused of what to do now. Please help me asap!!!

I have a similar issue. My Skype contacts and messages appear on my computer, but not on my iPhone 6.

Its a easy fix,it will take too much time to type out all of the steps,
Check your email account. see if they are their, You can then import them on your DAV card, The best thing to is add them to icoud then they will be safe.
Apple support can talk you through it.

Music gone from iphone after ios6 update

Ever since the update all my music is gone from my iPhone 3Gs, and I can't seem to get it back.

Apps icon gone from iPhone

I let my friend play with my iPhone the other day and now the "apps" icon is gone from my menu. Is there anyway to get it back? I have no idea what he did to get rid of it.

It cannot be deleted. First, swipe through your home screens was it simply moved to another home screen? If not, your friend set Restrictions, and probably a passcode as well. Go to Settings > General > Restrictions. If it asks for a passcode, Restrictions are ON. Restrictions can be used to 'hide' the icons for Safari, YouTube, Camera, iTunes, and the App Store. You'll need to get that code from your friend. The only other way to turn them off is to perform a Restore in iTunes, not from backup (meaning you'll lose all your data and settings).

All my pictures are gone from iPhone 4S.

What went wrong? How can I restore them?
At first, I made the setting to transfer pictures to icloud through wifi.
Then, I found I could not delete some pictures I didn't want to show from icloud. So, I changed the setting and deleted all pictures in icloud on both iphone and ipad.
Then, this morning I found that there is only one picuture I just took in the camera roll of my iphone.
Could it be (a) accidental erase; or (b) software bug?
I moved to iPhone from Android phone for this 4S. I basically love the concept and convenience of Apple world. But in some areas, Apple makes things very complecated and difficult.
I expect some changes:
1. make it possible for users to erase pictures from icloud
2. If there is any expiry period on the retention of pictures in iphone, give a warning message bubble up front when we take picture of as days pass.
3. If that erase was an accidentaly event, please make some safety module to picture software.
And I want to know what went wrong with my pictures and how I would get them back.

Why would you think it was a bug? It did exactly what you told it to.

Go ahead and expect all you want... We are not Apple. We are users.
And I want to know what went wrong with my pictures and how I would get them back.
What went wrong is you deleted them. If you want them back, re-sync them from your computer. If you didn't extract them to your computer, as you would with ANY digital camera, then they are gone.

Iphoto import interrupted during photos being deleted from iPhone now no photos on iPhoto and most gone from iPhone

I have imported 5000 photos from my iPhone to iPhoto, after doing this i selected "delete from phone" during this my usb connection was knocked and i received an error message. When i connected it again none of the photos are in iPhoto and all but 195 photos have been deleted from my phone.
I cant find anything on the macbook with any of the photos in and i am worried that ive lost them all. Would be greatful for any help.

Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library database

Music gone from iphone

I plugged my iphone (4) into my work computer (Windows 7) to charge. itunes automatically opened, and attempted to sync. I cancelled the sync immediately. now my music library on my iphone is empty. when I expand the iphone under DEVICES in itunes, and click on MUSIC, it lists all of the songs that were on my library (grayed out). makes me think they're still on the iphone. is there any way to recover?

You can try a reset.
You can also just re-sync from the computer with which you normally sync.

My friend used to sync/backup her iPhone on a work PC. She now longer works there and has no access to this computer.
She has bought a MacBook and plugged in her phone to sync it and it wiped everything.
How hosed is she?
Is it possible to somehow recover the music? Or is it totally and utterly gone?

She is going to have to contact iTunes support, explain the situation, and request that they add the lost iTunes content to her iTunes download queue. Tell her to make sure her computer is authorized: iTunes>Store>Authorize this Computer.

If she were in the US, she could simply re-download her purchased content to her new computer. It's a new feature of iTunes/iCloud, but only live in the US right now. Will go live for everyone else this fall.

New photo's gone from iphone, old ones not!

Today I went to the European car show in Brussels.
To let my battery survive the day I turned off mobile data.
During the day I took hundreds of photo's ..
There was one photo that I sended to a friend by MMS. But it couldn't sent because my mobile data was turned off.
At the end of the day I turned my mobile data back on .. but after 10 minutes I still had no connection with 3G so I switched my iPhone on and off.
When I put it back on, I wanted to look at my photo's .. and ALL photo's of that day where gone, only these photo's and no others ..
I'm sure that I have had them, because during the day I regulary took a look at my camera roll ..
The only photo that was saved was the photo I tried to send by MMS, it was still within my conversation ..
Can someone help me? I've tried everything ..

Purchased music gone from iPhone?

ok, so, i just bought some new music from itunes over iphone 3g this morning, and i thought it'd be a good idea to create a playlist with it all (purchased music)
i see my recently purchased music is in it, however, music that i bought only a few days ago isn't on my iphone anymore, and nor is it on my itunes on my sync computer.
it shows up under account purchases but i can't find it anywhere...and yes i've used spotlight etc, it's the not being on my iphone bit thats worrying me. i use manual sync so nothing can be deleted without my decision right?

Did you try iTunes > File menu > Transfer purchases from...?
If they are in your purchase history on your iTunes account, you can use the Report a Problem link.

ICloud calendar events are gone from iPhone and iPad

I turned on iPhone and iPad this am and and icloud calendar events are missing. When I opened iPad calendar, events were there, but then disappeared and now are gone. All events are still calendar in iCloud on PC. How do I get them back on iPhone and iPad?

i.e. on the phone settings > mail, contacts, calendars > calendars > sync.

Mail is partly gone from iPhone

mail is partly missing from my iphone. It´s like i have 1 mail every 3 days left when i have 10-20 in the computer.??

Update,
1) so when I go on my pc and open outlook - the one mail folder and all the subfolders have nothing in them so...
2) I logged onto icloud direct and again the same folder is greyed out and ther eis no mail in the subfolder..so
3) I went onto my ipad....same folder and same structure but when I click on a folder in the substructure all the messages load and I can see mail in all the subfolders but just on the
I have deleted the account in Outlook and set up again - same situation. I logged off of icloud > closed outlook and then logged on again. No change. I did an outlook repair and same situaiton. > i tried updating the mail server settings to a few that I found on the web p04- and p06- etc and all work fine but still no synch on that folder
Weird thing is that if you take outlook out of the equation - just logon to icloud through chrome I can see the file and the sub file structure but no access yet when I logon to the same account on my ipad the same file structure and email is all there.....its like a connection issue inside the Icloud account with that one large mail folder.

HT4859 backed up iphone to icloud, notes gone from iphone

I backed up my iphone 4s to icloud yesterday and now all the notes I had on my iphone are not there anymore. They show up in my mail but not on my phone. Why did this happen, how can I keep it from happenining, and how can I restore my notes to my iphone?

If you stop your back up, it will leave an incomplete back up in your iCloud storage allocation which you would need to remove from settings > iCloud > storage & back up > manage. It will not however affect anything on your phone.
The first back up to iCloud may take some considerable time. Just how long isn't really possible to say without knowing how much is in your back up and your connection speed.
What many people don't realise is that upload speeds are often significantly less than download speeds, so for example a user may have a download speed of 40 Mbps, but only 1 Mbps for uploading. As a rough guide it will take around 2 ¼ hours to upload 1 GB of data at 1 Mbps.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

All appointments gone from iphone calendar for last year

For some reason, all the events in my calendar prior to Jan 1, 2012 are no longer on my iPhone. (3gs) All is synced with pc in outlook, and iCloud (apparently).
I NEED these on my phone for business and reference. My settings for iTunes: the "do not sync events older than" box is NOT checked. Sync calendars with: Outlook checked, All Calendars checked.
It's maddening. I NEED these on my phone!!

Outlook also has a setting to archive events. If this is set the events will no longer be on Outlook to sync.
