Content-Aware Patch in Elements 12

I would like to have an object removed and patched or filled in like the surrounding area but can't find a ptch tool or whatever is needed to accomplish this. Any help would be appreciated.

Good news is that we can use Patch Tool non-destructively thanks to Sample All Layers. Another great thing is to change Adaptation option on the fly after patching so one does not have to ques which option should choose. Hi I am currently have a subscription to PS CC but I don't think I have the latest version. I believe this because I don't get the new welcome screen and don't have new features like the structure and color setting in the content aware patch tool. I have checked for updates and it tells me I have the current version. I check in PS I have version 14.2.1. I also have CS6 installed on my PC, could this be somehow be doing something or am I doing something wrong. Would anyone have any suggestions.

Why can't I find "content aware" in Photoshop Elements 12?

I am trying to remove a tower from a photo and do not have "content aware" on my drop down menu.

Using the spot healing brush in PSE12 does not leave a very professional appearance. Here is the photo I working with, as you can see, the tower is really close to the roof line and that is causing problems. I also tried to remove the electrical access box to the right side of the house and it left a spot that was again, not the professional appearance I am trying to achieve.

Content aware fill functionality in PSE 9

The press release for PSE 9 states "the Content Aware Fill technology introduced with Photoshop CS5 is one of our most exciting innovations ever, so we’re thrilled to be able to make it accessible to photo and video enthusiasts in this latest Elements release" and that "the content intelligence in the Spot Healing Brush" has been "adapted from Photoshop CS5’s celebrated Content Aware Fill feature".
In what way does this functionality as implemented in PSE 9 differ from that in PS CS5? Clearly it's not the same functionality otherwise the press release and product description would say so. Has it been crippled in any significant way or just implemented differently?
This feature is the only reason I would upgrade to PSE 9. Can anyone with direct experience please confirm whether or not I would be disappointed?

Moving the selection in Content Aware Move tool

I have a semi low light image of a person standing on a beach .. he is on the wrong side .. I select him with the selection tool, and then try to use the Content Aware Patch tool to move him to the right .. but only half of the selection moves
It is a little strange because the person is pure black (contra jour) and I am trying to move him to a section of the image which is fairly similar

The Patch tool does a great job of copying selected pixels to a new location when in destination mode. The new CA Move tool is a variation on this that uses CA Fill to fix the space thos pixels were copied from. Photoshop Elements 13 Content Aware Fill Not Working

Hello, all. I am sort of new to Elements 13 and seem to have run into a bit of a blockade. I'm trying to eliminate a tree in the background of a photo with content aware fill capability; however, when I try this it loads as if it's working on it but when it's finished nothing has changed. I thought perhaps it wasn't prominent enough to recognize what to fill (which did seem unlikely), so I went ahead and tried it on something more isolated and still nothing is happening. I feel as though I must have something set incorrectly because a lot of my other tools aren't working either, but I can't imagine what it is I've done wrong.

When the editor gets weird, the first thing to do is to delete the preferences. Go the editor preferences>general, click this button and restart the editor:

Yes, when you choose the healing brush, you have the option to select content aware.

CAF feature is there is PSE9 but not so advanced as in PS. You can access the same when you select
spot healing brush and then from the tools options bar.

Is there a way to do a content-aware rotation?

I have some objects in the edge of a wide-angle shot and there is the expected distortion. The b/g is pretty simple and instead of losing the space from fixing distortion, a content-aware rotation would be ideal. Is there a mechanism for this? There is move and scale, but not rotation, it seems.

I have tried it in CS6, and unless I have miissed something, you'll need a workaround for the workaround
So select the Patch tool, and set it to Normal (not Content Aware) Set it Destination, and make sure Transparent is unchecked.
Select your source pixels, and copy to a new layer, (this step is optional - will discuss later)
Select the BG layer, and with your selection still active (if it turned off when you copied to new layer, Ctrl/Cmd the new layer to reload the selection)
Ctrl/Cmd T to bring up Free Transform
Move to the new location, and rotate; change size, whatever, and hit Enter.
Nudge the selection a tiny bit which will activate the Patch and blend in new location.
This has made a copy or the source pixels, so if you want rid, turn off the new layer, select and expand the white hole it leaves, and use CA Fill to fix.

A simple Paste does not work for you?
It should place the clipboard content as a new Layer which you can then move around.
If there is any chance that the elements need to be scaled, rotated etc. I would prefer to place them as Smart Objects (File > Place …) and do the masking that is specific to the images themselves in those.

Remove a logo from a video clip with content aware fill?

I know you can remove logo in photos using content aware fill, but you can't do it to a video clip. You can only do it to a frame, but you can't apply it to the entire video. I know photoshop is not a video editing software, but having this sort of feature makes sense for photoshop users especially with content aware fill.

I'm a career software architect engineer of 35 years, and I have to side with Howard on this one.
Like Howard, I feel you're thinking about this way too simplistically. Trying to work out what best to fill a part of an image with in 3 dimensions (x, y, and time) and have it look believable almost boggles the mind, especially thinking of a general case (your logo example is far to simplistic in itself). The task is far from a simple looping repeat of what is being done 2 dimensionally on a still frame. Frankly, it's more likely related to what's done with CGI, where scenes are modeled in 3D (4D actually) so certain elements can be replaced believably.
Think about it... If CAF is presently replacing part of an image with something it finds through some heuristics in another part of the image, and the stuff in that part of each frame is changing - and it would, because this is video, not still imagery - then it will select differently every time. What makes you think it would select something that even resembles what it selected for another frame? What you'd end up with is a frame by frame mishmash that would just make the outline of the selection obvious.
Regarding CAF applied to individual frames, then your finding the result isn't coming out as expected in all the frames of the video (e.g., when you're testing this concept) may indicate a problem with the way you're using the tool, or possibly even a bug. You might want to describe step by step what you're doing and show the result you're [not] getting.

There is not Content Aware Move or Recompose tool in Premiere Elements.
