Content delivery network vs. static HTML

Hey everyone,
I just finished my first animation project in Adobe Edge Animate. Excellent! Now I want to publish my banner ad.
When I go to publish the ad, I have the choice (in publish settings) of Frameworks via CDN or Publish as static
HTML. I typically deliver my ads to a newspaper who hosts the ads for me. I would assume I need to save as
CDN as opposed to static HTML. Is this correct?
matt

Hey, Matt-
For Animate 1.5, yes, jQuery served off of Google's servers, but it is browser-independent.  Think of Google as just another webserver in this case.  For Animate CC, jQuery is served off of Google's servers and the Animate runtime is served off of Adobe's servers.  All of this should be available regardless of what browser you use.
Regarding the glow filter, CSS Filters are only supported by Webkit-based browsers.  Firefox is not a Webkit-based browser (whereas Chrome and Safari are), so filters are not supported.
http://caniuse.com/#feat=css-filters
Remember that the down-level stage (where you would post your poster image) is only displayed in browsers that do not support Animate content in general (mostly IE6-8), not just support or not support particular features that Animate makes available to the user.  Most people have gotten around this by using transparent PNGs to fake the glow to make the animation as cross-browser as possible.  While this is unfortunate, there's not much we can do to get out and push the browser's implementation of this standard.
Hope that helps clarify things for you!

    Hi All,
How to cache a content item like a Static HTML Page from UCM to Coherence/Coherence Web?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Could you explain your use case in more detail?
It does not look like proper use of coherence to cache static content - it more suited for dynamic content like user session etc.

  • Looking for low cost CDN (content delivery network)

does anybody know of a cheap CDN for streaming video? I have looked at the premium CDN's on the Adobe treaming Server product page but they all seem to be very high cost. they do not provide pricing on their sites and you have to phone for  quote which screams expensive. I want to stream the occasional corporate seminar. Not millions of videos.

  • LOW LATENCY PROBLEM via  Delivery Network. Help .

I would like to  have a low latency streaming option even if it does eventually mean running only a single stream.
I am running  2 Mbps H.264 stream via a content delivery network.  During the first 30 seconds  or so the the latency is about 1 second between source and viewer it then increases after a short while and settles down to about 3 or 4  seconds.  I have changed the  : Delivery Network (CDN),  the bit rate,  the codec from H.264 to VP6,  and taken off the auto adjust option but I can't seem to get a permanent low latency stream. My colleague has dropped the buffering at his end (or at the server ) and although this makes an initial affect , we still end up with a three second delay.
I do not have any formal training on streaming (not sure who does) so I have to ask : should I by-pass my CDN and point the single stream at the viewer ?
I anticipate working in different locations so I  expect a heap of problems -  blocked by routers , can't find the IT guys etc etc  .
Also, I have a funny feeling that RTMP/Flash will automatically resort to a three/four  second delay.
Any ideas for a stable low latency stream ?

When the number of bytes read is less than the array
lengthThat doesn't necessarily mean you're at the end of the data.
Any other wahy, maybe a timer (if is not receiving
any byte for 20 seconds then cut the conexion?)Again that doesn't necessarily mean you're at the end of the data.
There is no way to know you're at the end of the data without either an application protocol containing the length, or a socket close at the sender.

  • Displaying a static html content on new pages

    Hello,
I am a newbie on APEX. Sorry if the question is stupid and/or the answer straight forward.
I am trying to build APEX prototype with some pages displaying static HTML content stored in BLOB columns of a table.
What kind of page/region/item should i use to display? On which object do i put the select query that will return the HTML content?
    Thanks in advance,
    Daniel

    Hello,
For static content you may use a html-region.
But I think you want dynamic content (selecting it form a table). Then you should use a report region with sql.
Please look in the packaged application Opend discussion Forum to see examples.
    Hope this helps.

using that par i'll generate a iview and i will link to my page.
but i need a procedure to generate a portal component of this type.
if any body is having the procedure of this, or any online help documentation link u have please forward to me.

    Hi,
Check whether KM is installed in your server. If yes then you can view it under Content Administration>> KM content(like the Portal Content).
In that you can see the Root folder>>documents>>Public Documents. If you wish you can create your own folder or can  just upload the file inside that folder.
    1. to create a folder go to Folder >> new folder...
    2. to upload the file click Folder>>New>>upload.. then you can browse to the local system and from there you can upload file.
The path that you have to give in the Iview shloud be like
    \documents\Public Documents\<your foldername>\filename.
    Hope this Helps

    Hi Edmond,
We faced similar problem & found alternative.
Try out, if it works for u as well.
    1) Use HTTP Adapter instead of SOAP.
    Transport Protocol : HTTP 1.0
Message Protocol : XI Payload in HTTP Body
    Adapter Engine : Integration Server
    Addressing type : URL Address.
    Target Host:
    Service Number :
    Path Prefix:
Authentication type : we hv used Ananymus login, as our login details in payload header.
Content Type : application/soap+xml;charset=UTF-8( this is IMP).
    Header Fields.

    XML Code : UTF-8

  • TREX Search : static HTML pages in KM with links to other intranet websites

    Hi there,
we have some static HTML pages stored in KM. Besides text, these pages contain links ot other intranet websites, pdf or word documents.
I have defined an index, according to <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/73/66c090acf611d5993700508b6b8b11/frameset.htm">creating an index</a>
Following parameters have been added :
    IndexInternalLinks = true
    indexContentOfExternalLink = true
    showWithoutDatasource = true
Already had a look at <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/46/5d5040b48a6913e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Crawlers and Crawler Parameters</a>, tried by creating a new crawler profile and setting
Maximum Depth = 3 (we want to search three levels deep)
    There is also <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/46/5d5040b48a6913e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Resource Filters</a>
The html pages itself are included in the index, but the content of the external links is not included.
Would this be possible? We don't want to define an <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/73/66c090acf611d5993700508b6b8b11/frameset.htm">HTTP System</a> in the system landscape, as we don't need to index the whole external website and some parts of it are obsolete - we only want following the links and included the external content in the index.
    Portal version is NW2004S SP10.
    Thanks & best regards,
    Kevin

    Hello Kevin,
If you don't want to create a HTTP system then you can create a simple web repository.
For details you can follow help guide:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/a4/76bd3b57743b09e10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
Also you can create a Web Repository:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/12/47833ceb3da02ce10000000a114027/frameset.htm
Do refer to "Dynamic and Static Web Repositories" section in the document. This will answer your query.

    Hi Gurus,
i am hardly fighting with this error in Communication Channel Monitoring:

and this Module configuration (and only this)
    transform     Transform.ContentType     text/xml;charset=utf-8
    (according to /people/sobhithalaxmi.kata/blog/2009/07/21/cost-free-edi-integration-using-message-transformation-bean)
As far as i understand that my http header should have Content-Type: text/xml;charset=utf-8 now. I don't understand why Communication Channel Monitoring shows an error according to content TEXT/HTML.
Can anyone help me with that?
Is it possible that Transform.ContentType does not work for SOAP Receiver Adapter?
is there any chance to view the HTTP-Header of the outgoing SOAP Request (with PI Transaction / Java Enironment) to convince myself that the HTTP Header is text/xml?
Thank you in advance and Best Regards
    Udo

Hi Thanks for your fast replies.
The Provider of the Endpoint tells me that he needs text/xml as content-type. When I sent a message to the given Endpoint via SOAP UI I can see in the HTTP LOG of SOAP UI that the Endpoint is also sending text/xml back.

2011-04-29 11:37:46 Error The message status was set to NDLV.
What i am missing is a hint on the Message Transform Bean and a on a successfull sending process.
    What i also tried already:
i also activated the checkbox "Do not use SOAP Envelop" in CommChan Configuration. The Result you see below (the last log entry is on first line - so read from bottom to top)
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad Request
    error in response
    call completed
    request entering
    Message processing started
As you can see there is a "call completed" and "error in response" log entry. This is missing in in the first Log. So i guess the error is still in the sending process.
Installing additional Software on the PI and use them to find out what the HTTP Request is is not possible as system access is very strict and limited :/

  • Invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML on Reciever SOAP

    HI All,
I have a reciever SOAP channel setup to send a message and its attachments to a supplier. The recieving application is as follows:
"It just receives the stream or contentStream and print out the content. It's just a test to see what you sent to us. It processes all http/https messages."
If I leave the SOAP Envelope on I get the content type error in the header. If I turn the Enveloper off, I get a successful post. They are try to trap what I send to build a SOAP processor, so they want the SOAP envelope. What could be causing this?
    Kind Regards,
    Chris

    Hi Richard,
The web service address that we must type in target URL of receiver soap adapter is the address to the WSDL. To be sure types this address in your browser and you must see a WSDL code of the webservice that you want invoke.
The reason that you are getting “Delivery Exception: invalid content type for SOAP:TEXT/HTML.” is because you are trying to invoke a web service with wrong address.
So, when SOAP receiver adapter try to put the message on the target side, it can’t and automatically receives an HTTP acknowledge in HTML format. As SOAP adapter doesn’t understand HTML code only XML code, it can’t recognize what kind of error is and generates an exception indicating that the content type is invalid.
Delivery Exception: invalid content type for SOAP:TEXT/HTML is equal to any HTTP code, I have almost sure that HTTP code is a 404 Not Found, but you can’t see it...
Post the URL here for I can check
    Cheers,
    Ricardo.

  • SOAP adapter error: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML.

    Dear SAP experts,
    Need your help again here.
Currently, i am getting this specific error in my RWB logs.
The connection is from SAP XI going to Trading Partner via SOAP adapter.
    The specific error is:
Delivery of the message to the application using connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: java.io.IOException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML.
I've already searched on what is causing the issue and it seems majority of the information is that, the error might be due to incorrect/wrong URL that was set in the configurations in the SAP XI communication channel.
    Can you confirm this one?
DO you have any thoughts on this error?
    Please help.
    Thank you very much!
    Fred

    Hi Freddiesan,
First of all, test your URL acessing it from SAP PI server's local browser to check firewall and router settings.
If it works, check these blogs:

First verify your address. it can cause the invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML error
<i>I have used the TCPGateway to trace the messages. I receive the following error:Connection refused: connect</i>
    >> also check if your network has a proxy. in that case you wud need to provide that details in your SOAP adapter

  • Creating User Defined Static HTML Page

    Hi Everybody
For my new application, I have to write a program where user can create static html page with text content and image like MSN Groups
    Add a new page.
I need some guidelines on how to do this.
Any help will be much appreciated
    Thanks in advance

Creation of static pages / or pages with static content- the site administrator must be able to create
static html pages with content. And the links to these pages must be available to all the visitors of
the site as sub links to useful information( the add page and manage page tools
in MSN groups is aimed )
