Content in Encore

I probably should have read a little before starting this.  What is the Adobe procedure for finding content that is supposed to be included, like library in Encore, but is missing.

Hi Akirekab,
This document should help:

  • Installed functional content corrupted Encore!

I had started a project in Encore, but there was no content in my Library. So I just installed the functional content listed here: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/library-functional-content-missing.html. However, now Encore won't open at all! Help!

Try Additional Solution [you need to manually copy paste the extracted content (Library and styles folder)  to Encore installation folder ]
    Download the extra library content
Extract the .7z file to any convenient location (for example, the Desktop). This step creates a folder based on the language you selected.
7-zip for Windows (available for download at http://www.7-zip.org/download.html)
The Unarchiver for Mac OS (available for download at http://wakaba.c3.cx/s/apps/unarchiver.html)
Copy the contents of the language folder (for example, en-US) to the following location:
        Windows: C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Encore CS6/
        Mac OS: Applications/Adobe Encore CS6/
If you choose a custom Library folder location other than the default location, launch Adobe Encore and browse to your custom Library folder location.
Windows: Edit > Preferences > Media
Mac OS: Encore > Preferences > Media

  • No Library content in Encore CS 6

I just joined Creative Cloud. So far I've found it to be excelent.
First time using Encore.. It's quite amazing.. The thing is zero library content (menus etc)
I'm guessing it's something to do with downloading and auto installing.
How do I get my librarys populated???

Sorry.. I'm not seeing how to reply on the discussion page. I have found I
can populate encore by creating a new set, then adding new item, and
selecting the files manually. it seems to work but time consuming and clumsy

  • Encore Content disappeared from Library

I am using Encore CS6 from Creative Cloud and fought downloading the content, but managed to get it downloaded and stored in the proper place.  When I went into Encore and pointed the Media library to the my location of all of the extracted files, it was working fine.  Although I did not have the ability to search by the individual sets (General, Corporation, etc), the menu selections were all there as well as all the buttons and other content.
I made a menu and thought it done correctly, but discovered that I did not do it properly, so I deleted and started over.  Well now ALL the content is missing in the library.  I checked the preferences and it is looking in the right folder and the folder still has all the library content, but Encore doesn't show any of the Library content.
In looking though many threads on this topic, it goes back a long way with a ton of problems, mostly just trying to get the content downloaded.  I thought I was home free, but it disappeared completely.  It seems that I pay a lot of money monthly for Creative Cloud and it seems this tyoe of problem should not be happening (for anybody usign ENcore CS6), especially Creative Cloud members.
    Can someone please help??

    Stan,
Thanks for your response.  When I downloaded the zip file with the content, it said I could put it any folder and then go into the preferences option and then pick that folder for the media to appear.  I created a "Media Download" folder and extracted all the content into that folder.  It did work, but without the specific folders for General, etc.  I can understand that because the folders were not in that folder.  I guess I was hoping that the folders would have been created and filled.  No such luck.
I have been playing around after seeing your reply above.  I copied the "Set" folders from the "Library" into my "Media Download" folder and then moved some of the menus into the folders to see if it would work.  I was having trouble, but I think I finally got some of the new menus to show up from my Media Folder.  I was able to click on one of the new menus and it opened in Encore.  But no buttons show up from Media folder.  They are in the actual folder, but are not showing up in Encore.  The first time I got it to work, I saw all the buttons, and other content as I was supposed to.  Then all of sudden a little later, everything disappeared.  I could not read the text in your screen shot to see if there was other content (buttons, BG, etc) inside the specific folder.
I have a project I need to finish up soon and if I just open the button by clicking a button from the folder into Photoshop and place on one of my menus.  Will the it actually function as a button (as long as I "wire" it up properly)?
By the way, I am not able to extract the content into the Library function.  I did copy the downloaded zip file into the Library folder and tried to extract the contents.  I got an error that said  " '0  CRC failed in 'en-US.7z'. File is broken."  I tried to extract it with 7-Zip.  That was the same app I used when I was able to extract the first time.

  • Encore missing library and buttons, and link to retrieve missing funtional content down

I registered and downloaded the new creative cloud, and apparently there is some content missing in several programs.  In Encore, the library and buttons are missing.  Supposedly the answers is to download additional functional content here..  http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/library-functional-content-missing.html   But the link is down.

    Hi Stephen Porter
Link is working fine for me ...Don't Worry ..I am pasting the content from the abobe link here :

  • Encore CS6 Timeline Button Endpoint Error

Adobe has succeeded in making the burning of a project DVD as impossible as possible.
    WIn 7 Pro 64 Bit
I downloaded the previous version of Premiere Pro (PP) 6 and installed it to get Encore. Then I had to uninstall Premiere Pro 6 because it was crashing my rip in PP CC. I download and install the functional content for Encore 6 (EN6).
I open my project in PP CC. I built my project fully in one timeline in PP CC. It has hundreds of images, video clips, voice overs and music. I added 8 Chapter Markers to my one timeline and named them appropriately. I exported a DVD Mpeg2 video and audio to my DVD Folder. I took a screen capture and exported it to PS CS6 and made it a PSD.
I brought everything into EN6 and began building my menus. I have one video file and audio file in the EN 6 timeline with 11 chapter markers for the entire 27 minute film. I only want to put 8 on the menu. I create Poster Frames and assign them to the chapters in the timeline. I brought in my psd and set it as the background of the menu. I chose the Film Video Button from the buttons panel and dragged it on the screen. I duped the button until I had 8 for each of my 8 scenes that are within one timeline. I name each button appropriately and associate each button with the right scene and go to the flowchart.
In the flowchart panel all my scenes show up below the main menu Thumbnail and they are all named correctly and start the correct scene when clicked. However the individual scene thumbs can only be associated with one end point and they all have the same name. Whatever name I type into the Timeline name field becomes the name for every scene thumb. In this case they are all named "1". I only get to associate one thumbnail out of the entire set of 8 thumbs to an Endpoint and every other Thumb receives the same Endpoint I suppose its ok because I want them all to go back to the menu at end.
So Adobe Tech support says this is a workflow issue, but can't identify where the problem in my workflow is. There is no resource they can find for me online and I cannot find anything relevant to the issue. So he advised me go to where the real experts are - The Forum - Pat yourselves on the back as you are all unsung heroes out there working these forums. He also had me send him my EN6 file and will get back to me in 4-7 days.
Does anyone have any idea what I have done wrong in my PPCC or EN6 workflow to create this problem?
Does anyone have any idea what kind of dope the premiere pro engineering team was smoking when they developed this fantastic way to create a DVD?

Thanks Stan - SO here is where an Adobe Tech recommended this tutorial

    Hi ,
Please find Encore Tutorial link mentioned below :
    1.        Chapter 1 (Getting Sequences into Encore)
    2.       Chapter 2 (Creating Menus)
    3.       Chapter 3 (Buttons & Wiring up our Project)
    4.       Chapter 4 (Checking & Building our Project)
    5.       Chapter 5 (Creating a Web DVD)
    6.       Chapter 6 (Creating Motion Menus )
    7.       Chapter 7 (Creating Slide-shows Part 1)
    8.       Chapter 8 (Creating Slide-shows Part 2)
    9.       Chapter 9 (Creating Slide-shows Part 3)
But I have now solved the problem - The solution is don't use Adobe and you will be fine. I imported my H.264 into Movie Magix Edit Pro 17 and finished burning the project in 45 minutes. Trying to burn a DVD with PPCC and EN6 is as much fun as hitting yourself in the head with a ball peen hammer.

  • Encore Library installation will not work

I have seen people's posts regarding their issues with downloading the library and content for encore. I am in the same boat, and all of the solutions that people are providing are simply not working. I have practically memorized the download page on adobe. I have upgraded to the CS4, and there are 2 download manager files to download, and within each of those files is 2 other files: an exe and a file ending with 'z'. I have downloaded and extracted every one of these downloads at least 5 times, and I feel like I am wasting my time redownloading something that did not work the first time.
Someone please help me with this, I am a videographer far behind on my schedule and I need this resolved right away. I have read through the FAQ's, and have seen other threads, so reposting or redirecting will only keep me going in circles.
Anyone's help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
    -Rick Phillips

OK, let's try this. The files with the "z'" archived files in the 7z format, basically similar to the more familiar ZIP files. These need to be Extracted, including their entire folder structure. At one time, a user needed to download the 7z utility, but I believe that most OS's will now handled the Extraction, with just a Dbl-click on the file in Windows Explorer. If not, the free QuickPAR should handle most of these. This was done, when Premiere/Encore went back to X-platform, as WinZIP would not work on a Mac, but 7z would work on both platforms.
Remember, when prompted, make sure that you Extract the full folder structure. This should be the default. I always Extract to a separate Temp folder, and install from there.
Good luck, and please let us know how it goes.

  • CS6 Functional Content will not install

    Help:
Just discovered I was supposed to have "functional content" in Encore, Premiere, and After Effects CS6.  I installed this from the disks originally.  Did not realize the install did not work.  Ended up downloading functional content from Adobe and installed Premiere and Encore functional content. Still nothing coming up in Encore. Don't know what it was supposed to install in Premiere. And not sure what I was supposed to get in After Effects that I don't have.  The only possibility I can think of:  Production Premium is installed on my C drive (WIN 7) but I used  a different hard disk drive for all my scratch disks.  Don't see why that should be an issue, but its the only thing I can come up with.
I haven't had CS6 all that long!  And I am just now getting into Encore and AE --nothing in the Encore library.  I do have a library file in the program file folder and it appears to be populated.  Encore is just not talking to that file for some unknown reason.  Don't know if Premiere is or not or how to tell in Premiere if I have the "functional content" or not because I don't know that that content is supposed to be.
    Thanks for any help,
    Dave

It ludicrous to have to go through this...and there is so much
misinformation floating around this "help" area. I finally just stumbled

I don't know what happend but archlinux.puzzle.ch seems to be pretty slow these days. While I got ~ 2.4MB/s before, now I get about 150KB/s. I'm sitting in ZH-city and my router is connected to Cablecom.
BTW: Has archlinux.worldweb2000.com something to do with puzzle.ch? pacman connects there everytime I sync my packages..

  • Where's the FAQs?

A previous thread kind of got off-track, so I'll start a new one.
    1. Can Encore get a FAQ section like Premiere?
If you go to the Premeire Pro forum (http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere), there is a big ol' "Frequently Asked Qustions" section at the top. It has 2 questions and a link to "See All FAQs"
When you go to the Encore forum (http://forums.adobe.com/community/encore), there is... nothing. But there is actually a FAQ page (http://forums.adobe.com/community/encore/encore_faq).
    2. Can we get a FAQ that says how to get all of the available content/templates into CS6?
I really had to search to find all of the templates that were available for Encore CS6 (OK, granted, my search would have been shorter had I paid closer attention to my post's responders , but still... the point it I shouldn't have had to look and write a post.
Given that a thread from May on the subject has 70,000+ views (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1006810?tstart=0), I'd say it's something that would qualify a very frequently asked question! Why is it not at the top of the forum as a FAQ (like Premiere has)?
Making the situation worse is that the template discussion only seems to pop up in the context of MISSING templates... as in when there are NO templates in the Encore Library.
In my case, there actually WERE templates - but only a handful. Initially, I just thought that Encore only included a few files under the assumption that since you're supposed a "Pro" user you should be building your own templates anyway. It was an accident that I discovered the "Additional Solution to the missing library problem" was a 1.7GB download with 100's of additional items!
I'd be happy to write such a post, but not sure what the protocol is....

Only mods can post in the FAQ.
    I suggest:
Title: Adding Library Content for Encore CS6
If you have no Encore library/styles content, or only a limited number of templates, see this page:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/library-functional-content-missing.html
If your library is empty, start with the instruction in the top part: "Solution: Install the CS6 Functional Content." This installs the basic library, but only includes templates; no extra buttons, backgrounds, etc.
If you have the limited templates, and want more templates and/or extra buttons, backgrounds, etc, go to the instructions at the bottom of the link above: "Additional solution: Install the Resource Central library content"
The same applies to Encore CS6 whether you are using the CS6 suite or using the CC versions of other programs. For information about Encore and CC, see this page:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/encore/kb/encore-cs6-installed-cc.html

  • After Effects was unable to install additional file formats and effects

... Please reinstall from the original installer with a serial number."
The title and first line of this post are the error I receive when I open After Effects CS3. All of the CC effects are missing, as well as content for Encore, which is also part of Master Collection (the suite I have), so it must be an Master Collection error. Does anyone know where I can get the addtional content and the installer?

The cached files would be in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers in one of the directories with the funny cryptic numbers as their name. Since the archives are protected by the install key, you will have no way to extract the files manually, though. I tend to think that it is indeed the MC trial that is giving you troubles. Did you run the CS4 Clean Script when you uninstalled it? If not, that might explain it, even more so when the trial timed out. Certain features will then be locked forever after, unfortunately. Only uninstalling, running the clean script and then reinstalling with the serial will give you the full features then. Also download the manual update packages for After Effects, Premiere Pro, Encore and Adobe Media Encoder from the Download section. Installing those may also fix that problem since it should make the apps install additional MPEG support. As another option, you might try to create a new user account with administrator rights and launch AE. Sometimes this also works, since it creates a new user branch in your registry and just ignores existing info for some stuff which may make the post-install install kick in and finish its work.

  • Where are the Buttons and Styles

    Greetings:
I have installed Encore along with Premier from the downloaded file "ADBEPPROCS4_LS7.7z" I also downloaded "ADBEPPROCS4_Cont_LS7.7z" and the installer EXE. So, the installation completes but when I start Encore, the "Library" pane where, I assume, one should find all of the Styles, backgrounds, menus, buttons, etc., is completely empty. There is nothing there.
Have I misunderstood something? My understanding was that "ADBEPPROCS4_Cont_LS7.7z" was supposed to contain additional content for Encore.
Did I do something wrong during the installation or have a missed a step?
    Thank you,
    Mark Roberts,
    Toronto

    Mark,
    Welcome to the forum.
Your understanding is correct. You should have that Functional Content. Please see Neil Wilke's FAQ Article on the method, just in case something was missed.
You might also want to check your system, to see if the content is installed, but the Library Panel is just not picking it up.
Now, this will differ for you, but my Functional Content is in C:\Adobe\Adobe Encore DVD 2.0\Library. Under this will be a series of sub-folders, with the actual Assets, mostly .PSD's, EM, WAV, WMV and some other format files. Later versions will probably have .MOV in lieu of the .WMV Motion Menu files. Also, please remember that your exact Path will differ, as your Encore will probably be in "Program Files\\\\."
    Good luck,
    Hunt
