Content not loading on websites, all I see is blue "?"'s

I recently ran updates to safari 5.05, and installed the security update, etc. with it. Since then I have not been able to open pages like youtube and twitter. They load but in basic html - there is no formatting. If I click on a link, it may take me there, but no video or pictures will load.
I tried to download something and links to downloads won't open (the download box won't even come up)...
I'm also having the same problem in the itunes store, all I get is basic html, just blue, underlined links, no pictures.

Since more then one application is involved, use Disk Utility to verify and if necessary, repair the startup disk.

That was probably caused by your Firewall blocking the newly installed version of Firefox.
No known security issues with Firefox 3.6.17, which was just released this past week.

What I was doing before the problem:-
I had spent time re-organising My Documents.
One folder in My Docuamnts called "High Windows" contained the file "2101HighWin.msi", which I attempted to open.
What I have done since the Firefox problem:-
I have tried to uninstall 8e6 Mobile Client, but it won't let me.
I have uninstalled and re-installed Firefox.
I have used InternetExplorer8 to search thru the Mozilla troubleshooting pages.
Please can you help?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

Firefox can not load YouTube Website

I put youtube.com in address bar and Firefox can not load youtube website. It eventually times out. Any suggestions? I have tried clearing the cache, closing firefox and re-opening, downloaded firefox again, and the same problem persists.

You can try to reset (power off/on) the router.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Everyone who logs into Facebook on my Firefox has this problem however if we use Internet Explorer - facebook looks normal.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause issues like you described.

Practically every other site works perfectly fine. I did not change any settings or download any new addons prior to this problem, it just started happening. I have done everything I can find in the forums; resetting firefox, clearing cache and cookies, making network settings use no proxy, reinstalling, and today I uninstalled Firefox, updated and scanned my computer with all 3 software I use (AVG, Malwarebytes, and Spybot), found no issues, restarted my computer, and reinstalled a freshly downloaded Firefox setup without importing any settings or doing anything other than a totally clean install, and still nothing. Chrome and IE still are able to access every site perfectly fine. I have no idea what the issue is or how to fix it, as I've tried everything I know and could research.

Go to the Home screen with one press of the home button. Then double press the Home button. When the Dock raises, tap and hold one of the app icons untill they all start jiggling and a red X appears. Tap the red X on the video app to quit the app.

My computer will not load certain websites

Hi,
Both Safari and Firefox will not load certain websites consistantly (Twitter is one of them). I check on my wife's computer and they can load on her computer no problem. It shows the "Problem Loading Page" message. I've cleared history, cache, everything that I can think of. Any ideas?

If you follow the instructions at http://www.opendns.com/start , does the problem go away? If so, your ISP is having DNS troubles.

SWF not loading on website---Help please...

I'm not really new to Flash; I know how to get around persay. Though this task has me almost in tears. I'm trying to put a video playlist on my website. It has 3 videos. The playlist requires a few files in which I put in a folder named "video testing". Heres what I did:
I created a video playlist in Adobe Flash CS4 with some Actionscript. I published it in html and flash(swf). Afterwards, I saved the playlist as “MyVideoPlaylist”. I put all of these files in a folder named “video testing”. This folder contains: “MyVideoPlaylist.swf” “MyVideoPlaylist.fla” “playlist.xml” “video” “thumbs”. The video folder contains all the videos for the playlist and the thumbs folder contains the thumbnail images for the playlist. I opened up Filezilla and uploaded all files in that folder to the “flash” folder within the root directory. Since I’m using wordpress I browsed to the page that I wanted to put the flash in and placed the following code in the html section:

What does "http://www.burnnoticefanatic.com/promo.swf" have to do with the file you have been talking about?
As far as you saying "it could be that the swf file needs the videos and thumbs to play it correctly"... I assumed you were attempting to use them.
It's hard to solve this if the right players aren't in the game. The code you are using in the web page is old-style code. I would expect that if you publish an html file using Flash and use that code for embedding your file it will solve some potential problems, though those may not have been encountered yet.

TOC, Index, Search content not loading in FireFox 3.0 +

I have created from RH 8 a merged Webhelp system (1 master, 2 children - based on Peter Grainge's posted procedure). It works fine from IE, and on my system, from FireFox 3.0 and up.
The problem is, that when deployed at the customer's site, the TOC, Index, and Search content does not load in FireFox. All frames display (Nav, contents, and the top frame), but the content for the TOC, Index, and Search does not load.
This only happens at the customer site. The webhelp system works okay in IE.
I have checked and we are running the same javascript version, have the same security settings in FireFox set.
I looked on Peter's site and implemented the redirect fix for FireFox that he has posted, but that hasn't seemed to fix the problem.
They aren't running any special toolbars (like Google toolbar). I am checking on add ons.
Does anyone have any ideas on what else I might check or better yet what might be causing the problem?

A merge will not work properly unless all the projects have been generated once. After that it should not matter that a project is missing, indeed simply not publishing one of the projects to the server is one of the features of merging making it easy to supply different customers with different content.
I wonder if the problem you saw was because that project had not been generated.

Sorry, the reference to AIR help was because you mentioned Snippet 141 which is AIR specific. I didn't look further back in the thread.
You said that the start page of a child project opens the tripane window with the default topic but you do not get the TOC etc. That rules out the merge being the problem. I am inclined to the view that the server is the issue so get your client to load the published output from my merge demo as that is a known quantity. Ask them to open each child project in turn and then finally the merge.

Flash Player content not loading IE11...

Hi I'm having issues with Flash Player on IE 11...
OS:                    Windows 7 Professional SP1.
Browser:             IE 11 (Version: 11.0.9600.17041 / Update version: KB2929437)
Flash Player:      ActiveX Version 16.0.0.235
                         NPAPI Plug-in Version 16.0.0.235
                         PPAPI Plug-in Version Not installed

I have disabled ActiveX filtering, I have made sure that Shockwave Flash Object is enabled; I have made sure that ActiveX is allowed on all sites... As far as I can tell I have ticked/un-ticked all the right boxes and still IE11 will not load any Flash Player content.
The quick fix would be to use Firefox or Google Chrome or any other web browser; however the students at the school I work at have severe and profound learning, behavioural, and/or physical difficulties that mean I do not want to interfere with the established method of accessing the internet, and software that they are familiar with.
Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:

If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.

Firefox does not load random websites. Using a 3.6 or later version, with an XP OS.

My Dad's laptop is using XP OS.
He's been using Firefox quite a bit, until recently (about a month ago or more) when we go to any random website, it does not load. All it shows is a blank page and at the bottom bar it says "Done".
But after refreshing it multiple times (and I mean A LOT of times) it either loads it or does not.
