Content Pages are replaced by blank pages during PDF creation

Hi,
I'm creating a PDF from a series of TIFF images and encountering a problem.
I'll intermittently have 1 content page replaced by a blank page and this can happen anywhere in the PDF file. Upon several retries, I may just get rid of the problem. In a batch of 10 documents (50 & above TIFF pages), there may be up to 5 of them having this issue. Smaller jobs for up to 4 TIFF pages are alright. The inconsistency is frustrating as my operations involved thousands of these documents and I now have to validate every one of them.
Could this be a memory issue? I'm having a 2.6Ghz dual-core processor and 8GB RAM running Windows 2008 64bit Server.

Maybe a blank PDF due to a "blank" TIFF which was the scanner output of a sheet of paper having no imprint (text, drawing, whatever).

i am using SOAP request based website. i am using the weblogic webservices. when we sent any SOAP request to the server, if the SOAP xml message contains any carriage returns(new lines) are replaced by a single balnk space.
i have a requirement where user can enter details in multiple lines. but by the time when it readched server, the SOAP xml message has changed. all the carriage returns are repalced by a blank space.
Can you please help how to solve this issue.

What are your trying to accomplish?
I'm thinking you are trying to get a several 'fields' together as a single 'string'. In which case I'd simply concat the fields together like
SELECT a, b||' '||c ...
to create a single string with "contents of b space contents of c"
If you are trying to get one hundred and one blanks, of make a field 101 characters wide with blank padding, then you want to look in the SQL Reference manual for things like lpad, rpad and trim.

Creating contents page for pdf/rdf

I have several reports that our anchored together. I want to create a contents page that gives me page numbers of the serveral anchored reports.
example one report has a list of cars the next anchored report list trucks, the next is boats, etc...
I want a contents page that list the page number where the car, truck and boat report started
cars page 5-10
trucks page 11-21
boats page 22-30

Reports page numbering won't allow you to do this by default. However, you can use a format trigger against a field to set the value appropriately.
eg:
- create a user parameter 'P_StartPageNumber' of type number, default value of '0'
- create a field 'F_PageNumber' and set the source to "copies"
- create a format trigger against 'F_PageNumber' with the following:

How to handle JSON response in XSL-Fo templates during PDF creation of the page

XSL-FO in CQ5 converts xml output to PDF so for each new XML tag I need to introduce xsl-templates.
But For ext-js javascript widget on the page that’s not part of CRX Node/page that shows result by making Ajax call and render JSON output. How to address that inside PDF page creation.
Please share your thought.

method setPropertyAsPage save all page properties and state informations for page.
On every page I use ctrl:page or ctrl:pageState DataObjectLists.
On pages with search criteria I use ctrl:httpSession DataObjectList to save all criteria in one session. You must write event handler when you make search or trigger FIND event. In this event handler you must put every search form parameter in session.

Fonts are replaced with Adobe Sans in PDF

Receive PDF files from a client every month, 3 of the fonts in the file (Fortis Helvetica Bold, Fortis Helvetica Light Bold, and Fortis Helvetica Light) are not embedded. Fonts have been supplied and are installed in C:\WINDOWS\Fonts and C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Resource\Font folders.
This has been working fine for over a year, all fonts load up in acobat, but for some reason now, the font "Fortis Helvetica Bold" is not loading up in Acrobat and is being replaced with Adobe Sans.
Any help would be appreciated.

It may also be that they have changed to a different version of the font. Just because it has the same name as one on your system does not mean they are compatible. In reality, your customer should embed all fonts. Have them change to a press or print job settings file and that should resolve the problem by embedding the fonts.

EMF files are corrupted during PDF creation

Can anyone help with the following problem? I have a FrameMaker book in which EMF image files are imported by reference. These images show up fine within each individual FrameMaker document. The book and document files were created with FrameMaker 8 and, for many years, I was able to save as a PDF (using Acrobat 3D 8) without having any problems in the resulting PDF document.
However, after an upgrade to FrameMaker 10 and Acrobat X, I find that saving as a PDF results in mangled images, like the following:
My OS is Windows XP Pro, and I have installed all available updates for both Windows and the Adobe suite. Any ideas?

OK, apparently I just had to check the box that asks if I want to convert CMYK images to RGB. That checkbox never used to be there, so I hadn't even noticed it.

Lose color fonts during PDF creation from MS Word

I have a B&W laser printer as my default and when I save a Word document to PDF, all colored fonts are changed to black. But if I change my default printer to my inkjet, it saves with color. It is a minor annoyance to have to do this each time and then change it back.
I am saving the PDF to upload it to my website, not to print it, so need the color font.
I couldn’t find a setting in the Reader preferences to change this.

That's because there are none.
Reader doesn't create PDF's. You would want to check with a Microsoft support forum to get an answer.

Distiller Suddenly Shuts Down during pdf creation...

Never had a problem in Acrobat 6.0.1 on Mac OS 10.4.1.
Suddenly, Distiller takes all .ps or .eps files to almost 100% of pdf creation, then crashes.
Says "Can't process job because PDFLib failed to initialize." Might have happened after I used "FontNuke" to zap font caches, which never caused a problem before either.
EasyFind can't find a file called "PDFLib"

Keeping Metadata Out During PDF Creation

I know that after I create a PDF, I can remove sensitive metadata, like Author, using "Remove Hidden Information" but I don't want the dozens of people I support on our email team to have to do this every time. It would be better if the Author wasn't included in the first place. How can I stop Acrobat or Distiller from including this information in the PDFs? We have been told by our information security team not to include it on outbound PDFs. Is there an Acrobat or Distiller setting?

That worked but the the box is always checked and the user has to go uncheck it every time she prints. I found the solution though.
On my Windows XP machine, I clicked Start, Control Panel, Printers and Faxes.
Right-clicked on Adobe PDF.
Chose Printing Preferences.
Unchecked "Add Document information"
Clicked OK.
The next time I print a PDF, the metadata will not be included.

When working in my photo album in iphoto my photos are replaced with a grey box and an !. I can't see the image on the page.

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

MY photosmart B 210 is not printing with the black ink at all. Pages are coming out blank

Print report says ink is low in the colours but they do appear on the sheet but no black ink at all
It is a relatively new cartridge and genuine HP ink. Stopped suddenly
Pages from print or copy are coming out blank.
Tried to clean print heads and it says
Print System Failure : Oxc19a0003
and tells me to switch printer off and back on which I have now tried but getting the same message!
What does this mean?

I noticed that your HP Photosmart B210 printer is not printing black ink, and that the pages are coming out blank. I am sorry to hear this, but happy to help!

Firefox crashes constantly on my Macbook pro. It opens the start page during 7 seconds and then it crashes. Reinstall, del profile, empty cache did not help

I cannot open Firefox anymore on my MacBook Pro. When I try to open Firefox, the start page appears during 7 seconds and then Firefox closes and opens a crash report. During these 7 seconds I can't use any button in Firefox. I deleted everything From firefox and Mozilla in my library and in my cache. After I did a reinstall from Firefox. But the problem keeps on existing.

Contents Page, Justified Chapters

I have a contents page with 20 chapters listed. Chapter numbers are left justified and page numbers are right justified. Very standard. I wish to allign the chapter titles after their numbers evenly, but I'm unsure exactly how to do it. When entering the same number of blank spaces in between the chapter number and the chpater, the chapter titles don't appear to line up properly everywhere. It looks something like this:
1.    The County Seat Horodenka—Fierce Competition
2.    My Rabbi-Teacher, Schimshale from Milnitz, for Whom
3.    Perhaps My First Part
4.    Moische, Does One Smash Windows?
5-9 Our Family Grows
10. Our Family Grows Smaller, Our Poverty Greater

Don't line things up with spaces!!
Use tabs.
Use a paragraph style for the contents and in the Tabs option set the positions and type of tab you need to use. Have the preview box at the bottom left of the pannel clicked to make it easier to set up.

Multiple Page Contents Page Fields In Custom Page Layout SP2013

I'm rather new so bare with me. I'm trying to add multiple page content page fields with snippets to a custom page layout html file in SP2013 Designer. Once I add the snippet and publish, I review the page and any text written
in the last created page content box saves for both page content boxes instead of saving unique text in both. How do you change the snippets to where they are unique snippets and won't be referenced as the same one?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
