Content Presenter for alternate file

Hello,
Is there any way that I could have a content presenter template that displayed the primary file and the alternate file?
For example:
- Primary File is all text describing an image
- Alternate File is an image
How could I display both on the same page?

Header variable: Content Disposition for downloading file over HTTP?

Hi All,
I have a general content server question...Is there anyway to pass a parameter or set a setting on the content server to send the file with the header variable content-disposition set so that when a user selects a file within a browser, it doesn't open in place but asks the user whether they want to open or save the document?
Note - I'm actually using this with ArchiveLink and displaying the link in the Portal but this forum seems the closest I can get to asking this question.

Although there's quite a bit of configuration options there for displaying files, there doesn't appear to be anything that let's you manipulate the HTTP header variables to set content-disposition.
Any other ideas?

ps. If you want to artificially see the behaviour I'm after, within IIS, you can predefine this header variable for the contentserver.dll but this makes every HTTP request act like a file that wants to be downloaded, and it calls every file contentserver.<suffix>. From a user perspective, there's nothing worse than a document opening in place in your window (losing the underlying application), or within another IE window, hence why I'd like it to act like a file download.

File content conversion for receiver file structure(fixed length)

First you create the conversion rules, then you create the XML structure accordingly, not the other way.

File content conversion for Receiver File

Hi,
I am using SAP PI 7.1
i am facing an error in the receiver file when using FCC.
my file structure is as below:
MT_file             1.....1
Itab_out          0.....1
     item             0.....unbounded
      STR            0....1
so in the receiver File C.C, i am giving the following FCC parameters:
item.fieldSeparator             'nl'
item.fieldFixedLengths        255
item.fieldNames                   STR
But i am getting the following error in Receiver CC
Conversion initialization failed: java.lang.Exception: java.lang.Exception: Error(s) in XML conversion parameters found: Parameter '.fieldFixedLengths' or '*.fieldSeparator' is missing *
pls let me know what could be the problem

Define your FCC parameters as shown below.
Recordset Structure         Itab_out,item

Itab_out.fieldSeparator       'nl'
Note: You can either use field separator or fixed length both can't be used at same time.

Edit option not enabled for workflow content from within Content Presenter in Webcenter Spaces

I have a webcenter spaces portal page with a content presenter displaying a html page using the default out of the box template. The html page is located in webcenter content / UCM under a folder on which the " All Reviewer" seeded workflow is enabled. The issue i am seeing is when the file is in workflow the edit option is not being enabled even though the reviewer should be able to edit/approve the content in this step. The other functions like workflow approve or reject and switching between workflow version and published version are all enabled. Also when rejected the content does not show edit option from the content presenter (cntrl-C option) for the original author to make any updates.
What would need to be done to enable editing from within the content presenter for workflow content?

We are using WCP 11.1.1.8.5
To recreate the issue
1) Login to WCC Portal: Spaces as admin user , create a New Page under a webcenter spaces portal
2) Under the space , Pages Section , select the page and click edit
3) In Design mode , choose Content Management and Add Document Explorer and Add Content Presenter on the page
4) The Document Explorer will default to the Current Space/portal directory under MyWebcenterSpaces in UCM
5) Create a directory "content" under the Portal space using the document explorer.
6) Right Click on Content folder and choose details. In Details view , go to File->workflow settings and pick a seeded workflow -> MyWCSAllReviewer. Add a user as workflow approver
7) After workflow is enabled on this folder upload a basic html page with simple text into this folder
8) Now in the design mode choose edit in the content presenter and select the "single content view" with default template to display an Image or HTML. Click browse and select the html that was added to workflow
9) Save the Page and view the portal. Workflow should now be enabled for any content changes to that html page.
10) Click Cntrl-shift-c in portal/space as an authenticated user with edit access to content and make an edit to content , this will trigger worklow . The author currently will see edit option get disabled once content enters workflow
11) Login as approver to the portal and cntrl-shift-C to the portal and workflow options(approve and reject) are enabled but the edit option is not. If you reject content , the author should be able to edit content in the content presenter mode, this also is not available. The issue is the content is now no longer available for editing from wthin content presenter if it is in workflow to either the approver or the original author depending on workflow step. If you check the same content under the document explorer the option to edit is enabled. Is this a bug /issue with content Presenter or some option needs enabled?

Configure content presenter within webcenter spaces

Hide Alternate File

Hi
On the New Check in page, there is a field for Alternate file which is for weblayout version of the content. I want to disable or hide the metadata field. Does anyone know how to do that.

You can ue profiles and rules to define a rule where you can specify the metadata fields to be hidden/readonly/editable/not required/ mandatory. Then create a profile and includet he newly created rule in the same.
Then refresh the browser where CS GUI is brought up and under checkin page and search page you would see a new menu item appearing with the name of the profile that you have created.
You can get the metadata fields with the behavior that you have specified from this page.

Set content type based on file extension after uploading into document library

when there are multiple content types associated with a document library, say, report builder report, and excel documents, after you drag and drop a document into the document library, content type will not be detected based on the file extension. Suppose
your default content type is document, and you had added the report build report content type, and you uploaded a .RDL file, the content type for the file will be set to the default document content type.
I get a requirement to update the content type automatically based on the file extension, what follows is my code:

So it's easy, you have to use KEYFIELD option, coz you have something like that :
Line 1 : keyfield = 01 following by a limited number of columns (e.g 30 fields for Structure1)
Line 2 : keyfield = 02 following by a limited number of columns (e.g 14 fields for Structure2)
Line 3 : keyfield = 03 following by a limited number of columns (e.g 23 fields for Structure3)
Thanks to the Keyfield, you define a field which is present in each line that you can used to distinguished the different structures of lines. In your case, it seems that the keyfield is the first column (01, 02, 03).
Try to use that:
Recorset = TOTALSET         (and don't use option "ignoreRecordsetName : true")
Recordset structure =Structure1,1,Structure2,(star),Structure3,(start)       (the difficulty will be to find the good use of "*" and "1", but after some tests you will find the good one).
Note: replace (start) by the character " * "
Key field value = keyfield
Key field type = String (case sensitive)
Structure1.fieldNames = keyfield,field2, field3 etc.. of Structure1
Structure2.fieldNames = keyfield,field2, field3 etc.. of Structure2
Structure3.fieldNames = keyfield,field2, field3 etc.. of Structure3
and then you will have a XML like that:

Content Presenter unable to obtain content from UCM for 4 minutes

We spent about 4 days trying to figure this out until I tried something that worked, based on the log stack traces that I have included. The symptom was that the Home page for the WebCenter Spaces application would often take 4-5 minutes to load. The mechanics, from the trace, are that the Content Presenters, which were only used to display a single image, were unable to load the image from UCM. We got a socket time out, but eventually the image was obtained and the page finally loaded. It did not happen every time, but happened so often that it the Application was unusable. I worked around this problem by using an HTML Markup with <img src=”…. “/>. In 2 of the 3 presenters, they were already using HTML Markups just below the Image, so I just added the image to their markup. This worked just fine, but I am concerned that this occurred using the content presenter – a mainstay of WebCenter. I still am not sure what caused this but it seemed to be some access problems using the UCMBridge.
BTW, this is a production environment and thus jrockit is being used.
I would like a good explanation for this, otherwise I think an SR should be filed to get Oracle to either fix this or explain what is going wrong here and how we can avoid it.

The socket timeout option is not viable because it already takes 4 minutes to get to this point, which is way too long for the customer. I read another post that I cannot find any longer about a setting in the UCM config.cfg file about a SecurityFilter setting that was "..." Trouble is, they don't say which config.cfg as there are at least 4 config.cfg under the ECM dir under the Middleware Home Dir. It is the same file that holds the RidcSocket setting (usually 4444), but in our installation, the socket is set in EM and is not in any of the config.cfg file. If you could clarify the exact setting and which config.cfg file to try, I would appreciate it.

Creating a customized template for Content Presenter

I created a new template for content presenter, I created a jsff file and add a entry in
<jdev_projects>\Application1\mds\oracle\webcenter\content\templates\registry\templates-registry.xml
This is my entry:

OAM-Files do not run in the Content Viewer for Desktop anymore

After updating DPS today animations made with Edge Animate (OAM-Files) do not run in the Content Viewer for Desktop anymore!
What happened there? Any ideas?

I'm using mac OS 10.8.2 and InDesign CS6 CC

I have updated Edge Animate today also with all files working & previewing perfectly within Edge. Upon publishing as OAM files for use in inDesign, the Poster loads as per usual, mark Play on Load interactivity on highlighted content holder as usual BUT when testing in Content Viewer file remains as a static poster image - unable to load animated atributes! I thought perhaps it may be a new viewing option so also uploaded page to DPS Acrobat Workspace & tested & the OAM file has not been assigned as inDesign. This is a massive issue! Our Magazine front cover needs its usual animation. Also tested previous files already live and they too do not view correctly in Content Viewer since update, as well are just a poster image! Adobe need to fix this fast!

I'm stuck in this problem and I haven't find a solution to solved it... so, all your clues and reply's are really appreciate...
The basic problem is a File content conversion for a receiver C.C. that is not working and it's raising some errors in the RWB, I have gone thru some blogs but I still having a lot of doubts...
I want to produce a flat TXT file that will have a line for every node or subnode, it doesn't matter if it's not represented as hierarchical structure like this one... but the records must be produced or written in the same order...
Man_Del_Header as main node with Man_Header, Delete_Detail and Trailer as subnodes...

So as you can see, i wanna produce a flat file that will have line or record for each node, it doesn't matter that it has a hierarchy or a deeper level, it should be a simple flat file...
The thing is that i have been trying to setup the receiver comm. channel and it's raising some errors like Could not process due to error:

it easy if you go with multi mapping concept and without BPM if you are above >XI3.0 SP14.and use Append mode in the receiver file adapter.
just create the target structure like root under that Man_Del_Header,Man_Header,Detail,Trailer at the same level but got be careful with occurences.

I think from your structure you have
Man_Del_Header (1-unb)
Man_Header   (1-1)
detail   (0-unb ) may be (1-unb)
trailer (1-1)
create <b>target DT</b> like:
ROOT
..Man_Del_Header (1-1)
..Man_Header   (1-1)
..detail   (0-unb ) may be (1-unb)
..trailer (1-1)
all are at same level under ROOT.
create MT,MI,MM,IM.
in MM just map correspoding fields and if you have any unbounded onces map the nodes too. and map Man_Del_Header in the source to MT_XYZ (important)
and in the MM go to MESSAGES tab and change the occurences of the target Message to 0-unbounded same way in the interface mapping 0-unbounded.
here it create anothe extra node in the mapping something like Message1,this is ok.
and in ID just create all other objects like as usual except creating Interface determination ,in that select the extended radio button.
in reciever File CC use FCC ,would be very simple in the recordsetstrcture give
your four nodes Man_Del_Header,Man_Header,Detail,Trailer.
and use either fixed or field seperator.use append mode in recv File CC otherwise it will generate files as many occurences your source "Man_Del_Header" has ,cos we are mapping it to the MT--xyz .
thats it you are ready to go...

Content conversion for multilevel varying structure File to Idoc

Hi All,
I have following file structure.
VO
C1
S1 1 to unbounded
     H1 1 to unbounded
          D1 0 to unbounded
          D2 0 to unbounded
          U2 0 to unbounded
          UC 0 to unbounded
My Idoc structure.
ISU_EL34
     IDOC 0 to unbounded
          E1ISU34 1 to unbounded
               ZSEGMENT 0 to 1
I have applied the content conversion for the length specific file as follows.
Recordset structure: VO,1,C1,1,S1,1,H1,1,D1,,D2,,U2,,UC,
Do I need to do any changes over here to satisfy the above file structure.
V0 and C1 occurs only once in a file.
for S1 I should have H1 compulsory and others are optional, but i need to create Idoc when D1 data is available only.
I'm able to read the total file with the above content conversion.
MY requirements:
1) I need to create the Idoc based on the occurance of D1 node. I'm using H1 data also in the idoc not S1.
2) My doubt is whether the content conversion I have provide is applicable to the structure I have prepared.
3) When I'm trying useOneAsMany function for the above ie H1 data should repeat in Idoc as and when D1 repeats.I'm failing the error is both queues are not contain same number of data..
Could anyone suggest how I should approach for the above scenario.

It worked for this purpose, but I'm facing following problems
MY scenario
The file contains records V0,C1,S1,H1,D1,D2,U2 and Uc
In which Im using the data of H1,D1,D2,U2 and UC for creating target Idoc.
Every H1 contains at least 1 D1 record, If D1 exists D2 ,U2 and UC may or may not exist.If exists those are in a sequence and should consider the data of them to create Idoc.
Idoc should be created for every D1.
Problem facing:
Do we have any mechanism to group the D1 records to the relevant header.since Im unable do this with content conversion.
I think bcz of above problem; some records (D2 & U2 & UC) data is populating in Idoc even there is no D2,U2 and Ucs.
