Content protection and sync button

I have been trying to download an ap to my phone for 3 days. Every time I try I get the message that my device has content protection and I should turn it off. Where do I find this and how do I turn it off, please?
It also tells me to click the sync now button, there is no such button visible on either the phone or the PC, where do I find it and how do I click on it, Please?

OK, then please try this sequence (again, solely on your device, with WiFi coverage, and no tether to PC/USB).
1) Remove AppWorld from your BB
KB10040 How to view or remove installed applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
If it requests that you reboot the BB, do so
2) Do a Batt-Pull reboot (power on, remove battery, wait, insert battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.
3) Install (on your BB) a fresh copy of AppWorld
http://blackberry.com/appworld/download
Again, if it requests to reboot, do so.
4) Do another Batt-Pull reboot
5) See if it now works.

Itunes showing all data as other and sync button greyed out. I have downloaded and installed Itunes 11 (multiple times) and restored my phone twice already, but I am still not able to sync my Iphone 4 with Itunes.
When I select / de-select Apps on Itunes to remove from the phone the "Apply" button does appear, but after I click it nothing happens. Then the greyed out "sync" button just appears again.
Anyone with some advise please?

Try Restarting or Resetting your touch.
Restart: Hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears and turn off your iPod. Press the sleep/wake button and hold it until you see the Apple icon.
Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time. The red slider will appear first, keep hold everything until you see the Apple icon. Release the buttons.
Check your iPod and see if your music and apps have reappeared. If they do after either option, then resync your iPod.
If neither works, then Restore your touch through iTunes.

Content Protection and Contacts

Hi. My Blackberry contacts show there email address as <Content protection is enabled>. Some of my contacts have multiple email addresses and I can't tell which address I am trying to send a message to. I have disabled content protection in the security options as well as not including contacts when I turn content protection on. How can I get my BB contacts email addresses to be shown? Thanks

Try the following:
Simply delete all the Messenger apps (Yahoo, MSN or Live) which you might have upgraded recently / delete apps which were recently installed before the error which actually started occuring .
After that unplug the battery while the phone is still "on" and restart the phone.
In fact I had deleted a whole bunch of apps to facilitate my OS upgrade as I did not have enough memory on my Device.
This not only helped solve my above mentioned problem but also made my phone restart in less than 3 minutes (the earlier reboot was done in not less than 15 minutes !!).
Therefore my conclusion as from the above incidents is to keep your apps in the bare minimum so that your phone performs to the best.

HD content, rentals and syncing in Australia

I'm quite confsed about all of this. I have a MacBookPro, IPad2 and Apple TV. On the iPad and AppleTV I can see and rent HD movies, but in iTunes on the mac I cannot see them, only SD movies. I recently rented a movie via the iPad which downloaded and played ok, except that almost half the movie had no sound at all, making it unwatchable. Apple support have refunded (thankyou), but I'd still like to rent the movie.
I thought to rent it via the Mac and sync it to the Apple TV to watch it. But I cannot see the HD version in the store on the Mac. I'm concerned that if I re-rent via the iPad or Apple TV, I'll have the same download with a chunk of missing sound and have to go back through requesting a refund again.
Any thoughts?

I have a 160GB AppleTV... Available HD space averages around 120GB.
Aside from some pictures and music I don't store anything but the unwatched episodes on the AppleTV

"Apply" and "Sync" buttons not working in the iPod summary...?

I had just previously purchased a few tv episodes and movies through the iTunes store. Before I had done this, in the iPod summary when connected, I chose which movies to sync to my iPod instead of syncing all of them. Now when I go to check the boxes next to the new movies/episodes, and press apply, they do not sync and I just get a message saying that "the disk cannot be found." I do not understand why it is doing this because I can sync all of my other music and podcast files fine. If someone would help me with this problem I would be eternally grateful.

- You can try resetting the iPod
- Restoring the IPod via iTunes

my problem with my curve 9360 is that i cannot connect to Blackberry World it says "We cannot connect you to Blackberry World. Please ensure that your device is connected to the wireless network and try again."
even though im connected in my wifi. not just that my LOCK BUTTON on top of my phone wont work.

I was trying to download without the phone network switched on
The above link explains that you need the phone to be connected to the mobile network (as well as the PC's broadband connection) so that App World can verify that you are set to network time.

Itunes tells me to erase and sync

Itunes is telling me to erase and sync to my current itunes library but everytime i try to click the erase and sync button it doesnt do anything.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

I restored an iphone on a mac that it hadn't been previously synced with, and then accidentally clicked the sync button and now the music library on my mac is gone - can I get it back? If so, how do I get it back?

This is a crazy circumstance of events. We have an iphone that we use as our office line. My husband accidentally got his iphone wet so while we were submitting it to be replaced through AT&T insurance plan, I had taken the sim card out of the office iphone and put his sim card into it and he was using it for a couple weeks. Somewhere on this forum I had found the instructions for doing this and it worked. He set a passcode on it while he was using it. Then he got his new replacement iphone and we switched simcards back and was good to go with his newly replaced iphone. In the meantime the other office iphone had been forwarded to me and we at that time didn't have another person working in the office so the iphone sat off for about 6 weeks maybe. Of course, during those 6 weeks the passcode, that was set on it, was forgotten - tried a few different things he thought that he'd set it to with no luck. So I looked up what needed to be done and how to restore the iphone. This particular iphone had not been plugged into a computer since having the original sim card put back into it after my husband had used it with his sim card so it wasn't able to get past the not having the correct passcode by just plugging into a computer that it had been synced with. I restored it. And this maybe is where I messed up or where maybe the new Iphone/Itunes OS messed up. I did accidentally check the sync button once the iphone was restored. I looked at Itunes and realized the music in the library on the computer was gone as well as the playlists. This is such a bummer because this is the business macbook pro and we run boat charters so all of that music is what is on the boat's ipod and played during the charters. There are playlists for sunsets, for cloudy days, multiple reggae playlists, etc. totaling 80 different playlists and tons of music - so much hardwork went into making those. Is there any way to get it all back???? Please help if you can - I'd be ever so grateful. Thanks.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? Ever since ICloud, my local Itunes library has been poluted with old music that I got rid of a long time ago.
I purchased an album from the Itunes Store App on my Iphone, listened to all the songs and decided I don't like all of them but some of them. So I went on my laptop and the album I purchased loaded into Itunes. I manually deleted the content I didn't want from my Itunes library. Once my library was set the way I wanted, I wanted my Itunes library synced into my Iphone, but instead, my Iphone's content gets re-synced back into my Itunes library and the content I once deleted tries to re-download.
It's agrivating that what was once an easy automated process is now a slow agonzing manual process. I'm considering getting rid of my phone if I can't find a remedy for this, which is the only apple product I now own.

Backup, then restore the iPhone without syncing. Only the content currently in your library can be restored back to it.
Turn off all options in iTunes and on the device for automatic downloading of purchases.
In principle purchases made on the device are copied into the iTunes library when syncing. This ensures that you have the media ready to place back on it or a replacement should the device be lost, stolen, damaged, or need restoring, When you want to remove content either delete it manually from both the device & the library at the same time, or uncheck it within the library so that it is removed from the device during sync, then remove from the library later.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.
