Content Sensitive Web Help

Trying to get CSH webhelp to work. The problem is there does
not seem to be a chm file generated.
What am I doing wrong?

Okay, as for the context help, you didn't really answer the
question I had about which output type you are creating, but I"m
assuming that it's WebHelp or a WebHelp variant, given the fact
that you say you are connecting to a server. Have you checked out
fellow Adobe Community Expert and fellow Adobe Certified RoboHelp
Instructor John Daigle's article on Context Sensitive WebHelp? If

Invalid URL for Web Content Overlay. Help?

I am doing a french tranlation to an existing folio app that someone else created.
There is one page in my folio that is comprised of garbage and a trash can. You touch the garbage and drag it into the trash, and things change, etc.
I have an index.html file and a bunch of other images.
I can't even successfully add the article to my folio, I get this warning: Content Generator Error. Invalid URL for Web Content Overlay.
Can you walk me through how to get this to work?

Need Help ! Content Search Web Part with default callout menu as docoument library

I want the above functionality with the Content Search Web Part(CSWP).

Per my understanding, you might want to create something like a
Content Search Web Part(which is introduced in SharePoint 2013) in your SharePoint 2010 environment with the callout menu functionality.
As there is no OOTB Content Search Web Part in SharePoint 2010, a suggestion is that you can build a custom web part with the help of
Search API and create custom callout menu for it.

Content Sensitive Help

I am pretty new to RoboHelp my company wants content
sensitive help in their website and they have a version of RoboHelp
5 that I can use. Can someone give me a pointer where to
start?

And also talk to your developers. You have to assign map file
ID's to every RoboHelp topic you want to be called by a help
button, then tell the individual help button what map file ID to
call. You assign the map file ID's, the developers program the help
buttons.
Help files with a relatively small number of map file ID's
are easier to maintain, but not as helpful to the customer as hep
files with a lot of map file ID's that call very specific help
topics. However, lots of map files ID's increases the chances of
error/difficulties of maintenance.
You'll need to decide on how much effort you can devote to
setting up the context sensitive help in the first place and how
much effort you'll need to spend maintaining the CSH when you
update the help files. This will determine the number of
topics/help buttons that you can have in your context sensitive
help.

Web help: Implementing context sensitivity in a portlet?

We are devleoping serveral 'portlets' that will run
in a portal, and I'm creating Web help for the Help system, but I'm
not sure what to tell the developers to do to link the particular
pages to the Help button on the individual portlets. Is there a way
for them to implement that differs from web applications or Windows
programs? I've perused some conceptual directions, but am looking
for someone who has actually made this work in real life.

The portal is effectively a web application.
To my mind the easiest way is for them to call your topics
using URL's with the format startpage.htm#path/target_topic.htm as
described in one of the topics. If your filenaming is clear they
should be able to work out what to link to. If not, draw up a
simple mapping document listing the developers forms and your
topics.

Hi Sri,
it looks that your HANA instance has been created before we enabled the web-based development workbench. Some privileges are missing, we can't migration those existing instances.
Nevertheless you can ignore the error above. You can see all the content inside your instance "smstest1".
If you want to get rid of the cosmetic issue. You might delete this instance and create a new one.

Content query web part is not working after chaning the DNS entry

We have a content query web part in the sharepoint site but it is not working after changing the DNS Entry for the web site ipaddress from one server to other . But it is working fine on the server, if we try to access the site from other system content
quey server its not working fine and its giving error message as bellow.
Unable to display this Web Part. To troubleshoot the problem, open this Web page in a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation-compatible HTML editor such as Microsoft SharePoint Designer. If the problem persists, contact your Web server administrator.

I have custom XSLT . But it is working fine before changing the dns entry as soon as we change the DNS entry the content quey web part is not working. I tried to delete the content query web part and add it once again to the page, As soon as content query
web part is added to the page the fallowing error message is displayed.

Robohelp 9 crashing when generating Web Help

Hi there, I have RH V 9.0.1.232 installed. I have a project with about 1000 files which was converted from RH 8 without issue until now.
There are 3 Conditional Build Tags. I can publish the project to Web Help with layouts including tags #1 and #2, but when I include #3 in any layout, RH crashes at the same point every time, as shown below:
I have tried leaving it for over an hour without change. When I open Task Manager, RH is listed as "Not Responding." I do not get an error message at all. I have not generated this layout in several months, and possibly not since I have had RH 9.
Tag #3 must be applied to hide content from a public audience. This tag is applied to several sections in every topic, and is also applied at the topic level for about 20% of the topics.
Here is what I've tried to do:
1. Create a test project with multiple tags and publish to WebHelp - no issue found.
2. Rolled the project folder back to an earlier version from yesterday morning - problem still exists, could try an earlier version but a lot of work was done yesterday.
3. Followed the instructions here, which have served me well in the past - problem still exists- http://www.techfuels.com/software-jargons/29202-repairing-corrupted-robohelp-project.html
All of this leads me to think there is something wrong with the tag in particular. I could delete the tag, create a new one and reapply it, but that would be a major challenge considering the number of topics I'm dealing with, and I am the lone writer.

Disable link for a Image in Content editor web part

Hi
i want to disable hyperlink for a banner added using content editor web part. Instead of hiding using Target Audience, i want to disable the link.
Please help me how can i achieve this?

Hi Vinay,
I recommend to disable the link for an image using Jquery in Content Editor web part.
First, you need to use F12 tool in Internet Explorer(IE) to get the html tag for the image, and you’d better find the class or id value for the tag of the image.
For example, if the class for the image is test, then the code should be:

CQWB is supported for Publishing Sites or site having publishing feature turned on, on other it will not work as expected.
You can add it on the page from ribbon insert web part> from categories select Content Rollup > next pane slect Content Query.

Content Query Web Part gives error when trying to edit

Hello there,
When I put the page in edit mode and try to edit the content query web part I get an unexpeced error. When searching the correlation ID from the error message I see this message a lot:

ConsoleUtilies.GetContextualControlMode had no currentPage so the current SPWebPartManager mode cannot be retrieved.
The error message says something about Publishing and I had an Publishing issue before the CQWB issue happened.
The thing is that the CQWB is dependent on the Publishing feature. The publishing feature when turned on (as site collection feature) creates Content types. One of these content types was removed because when I tried to create a new publishing site
I got an error about a missing content type.
I deactivated the site collection publishing feature (after deactivating it on all sites where it was activated) and then activated it again so it reacreates the content types. This was working, since now I can create Publishing sites again.
The problem is that I can not edit the CQWB anymore. But it is still showing the query in correct lay-out. Also when I add a new CQWB I have the same issue. I can add it, but not edit.
I also made a new test site collection and here everything works fine. I tried to copy the .webpart from the test to the problem-sitecollection, but the webpart is just not editable on my broken site collection.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Im assuming it has something to do with the publishing issue I had....

I disabled all publishing features on all subsites
Then I disabled the site collection publishing feature
Then I enabled the site collection publishing feature again
I enabled publishing feature on the subsites where I want to use the content query web part and also on the subsites where the query is coming from
So: Yes, the publishing feature is enabled

Custom SharePoint Master Page with Content Editor Web Part.

Hi All,
I have created a custom SharePoint Master Page to apply within my SharePoint Site and it was a success.
When I want to add the content I have to use the script editor web part and add HTML snippets. Then the styles will reflect correctly. But when I use content editor web part some of the styles do not reflect. Lets assume that if I want to add a H2 with the
custom color, the color do not show in the ribbon. And how SharePoint know that this is an <h2> and reflect the other styles like padding, margin and so on.
Please can someone help me to solve this.

From your description, my understanding is that you want to add CSS code in your customized Master Page with content editor web part.
I tested your issue in SharePoint Designer, and I added CSS code successfully.
I accomplish your requirement with steps below:
Add a content editor web part in a list and add some CSS code in the web part.
Open SharePoint Designer, enter the master page.
Insert a content editor web part under INSERT tab in the Ribbon.
Open the list that have edited in step1 in the SharePoint Designer.
Copy code from the list to the Master Page as the screenshot below.
The screenshot below is my result:
In addition, why do not you add CSS code just with <style> tag in your page? Just add CSS code as below(in this method, you do not need any web part.):

Target Audiences in Content editor web part created from Snippet Gallery

Hi,
I have created a Content editor web part from the Snippet Gallery in SP 2013 Office 365 and placed it in my master page. It works, but not the Target Audiences. It's linking to a text file which displays, but I only want certain AD groups
to be able to view. Everyone can see the web part.
Any help would be appreciated.

How to modify title and tooltip text in Content Editor web part

I have inherited a site with a page that includes two Content Editor web parts. The web parts have been left with the default titles (Content Editor [1] and [2]) and mouse-over text.
I want to set these to something more appropriate so I choose the option Edit Page (to edit the web parts on this page). I can move the web parts around (so definitely in Edit mode) but if I click the Edit Web Part Properties the page refreshes but no properties
or options (or errors) appear.
How do I modify these web parts?

When you select the edit web part options, the page should reload with the configuration options on the right hand side. This will include several collapsed sections, namely: -
Appearance
Layout
Advanced
If you maximise the appearance one, you'll see a text field for "Title." Edit this to what you want and you'll be able to rename these.
If you can't see the options, make sure to scroll to the far right hand side of the screen. Sometimes on larger resolution monitors, they can appear hidden.
