Content Server errors report HTTP 503

Hello,
I've noticed that upon any Content Server error (missing content, IdocScript error, etc), apache will report an HTTP 503 error, but still serve the page. Has anyone else seen this behavior, or know if it is configurable?
This behavior creates a problem because we publish our Site Studio websites with SSPU and it fails deployments on 503 errors.

This is probably an error in the configuration of your content repository.
Check the setting for your Content Server at OAC0 again.

Reformat Content Server Error

Sometimes we get an LDAP error. This causes UCM to display a content server error page to the user. It has the message that 'content server failed' and then some small detail. The page has a navigation bar on the left.
We would like to catch errors like this and format a nice error page that the user is not stunned with.
I thought about a custom component in the check credentials service that would do a redirect to our new web page but not sure this would work.
Any ideas would be a help.

You could also build a component that contains a new error page template (with the same name as the original one and with a load order that'll make the content server show your custom template instead of the original one). You do not have to change any of the services for this to work and your end users will always see the same template whenever they get an error.

Content Server error on LINUX (HTTP error: 404 Not Found)

While checking the status of content sever by using the T-code CSADMIN I am getting the following error message.

an ECC 6.0 server machine was setup successfully, then Content Server
6.30 was installed on a windows 2000 machine.(url tested from browser
and it showed that CS is running)
using csAdmin transaction tried to create a Content Repository on the
CS machine but during the save process this error pops up

After Installing the Content server on Windows 2003
you have to execute 4 Commands on Windows 2003 assuming content server is installed in D:\Program Files\SAP\Content Server

Content server Instalation problem.---HTTP 404- ERROR FORBIDDEN

This issue is pertaining to Content server instalation with SAP 6 ECC.
Status till date:
1) content server is installed to windows 2003 server.
2) we are currently working in quality server.I have opted a 80 GB harddisk and installed windows 2003 server and also installed Content server to that.
3) i defined New content repository ZDMS_C1in OAC0
Gave appropriate description,
Doc area : Doc magt system
Storage type: HTTP content server
Version no: 0046
Http server 132.147.167.110( this is 80 gb system Ip address)
port number:1090
Http script: Contentserver/contentserver.dll
Physical path: H:usr\sap\ELD\SYS\Global\ (default selection )
i saved and i get every information of created by and last changed by....
Ok but when i test connection it says " HTTP 404:ERROR FORBIDEN".
I get another error when i "SEND CERTIFICATE"
" ERROR IN HTTP ACCESS IFHTTPCLIENT--RECEIVE 1
ICM-HTTP-CONNECTION-FAILED.
Some problem in IIS server but litraly basis team is unable to solve the status.
How to solve this issue.....Help me out in detail.

Ensure that PSE (Personal Security Environment) is created directly on SAP system after the system is installed, this is one time activity.
To do this you use T Code "STRUST". You can check with your Senior Basis guy for more.
By default the system's PSE is used to sign URLs. from SAP WAS you can also create your own PSE to sign Kpro URLs

SAP Content Server error 405 Method Not Allowed

Hello Everyone
We have installed SAP Content server 04s with SAP DB 7.6 build on Solaris platform. We are trying to connect it through ECC. We have configured Apache web server on content server, and we are able to access it through http url.
On ECC we have defined repository OAC0 and when we click on CSADMIN to create repository its giving us u201C405 Method Not Allowedu201D allowed error. Even we tried to test this configuration with Report RSHTTP60  this is also giving us 405 errors.
We have tried lots of things to resolve this error but we didnu2019t get any fine solution, does any one come across to such kind of error while configuring Content server with R/3 or ECC?
We will appreciate any help asap,

Content Server Error: 407 Proxy Authorization Required

Hi Experts,
I am new to Content Server and have recently installed Content Server 6.40 with MaxDB 7.8 database on a Windows 2008 server.
The installation completed successfully and IIS server was configured as per guide. The Content server is running when checked through URL on server.
Next, we created a new repository with following details, but are facing "HTTP error: 407 Proxy Authorization Required" while testing the connection.
Settings in OAC0
Content Rep. A1
Document Area: ArchiveLink
Storage type: HTTP Content Server
Version no.: 0046
HTTP server: <IP of Windows server where CS is intalled>
Port Number 1090
HTTP Script ContentServer/ContentServer
Transfer drctry C:\temp
HTTP Port 1090 is open from SAP system(HP-UX) to Content Server(windows) and there is no firewall between the 2 servers, but we still see the error in OAC0 and CSADMIN. I also tried setting the security parameter to 0 in contentserver.ini file, but that didn't help either.
The content server was installed using administrator user.
Would appreciate your inputs on what am I missing?

Remove Archive link and change it to Document Management system ( DMS)

DMS content server error

Hello SAP Experts!
I have following error when exeuting test program for checking content server RSCMST:
HTTP error: 500 Internal Server Error
It is appearing continuosly every day. Only solution I have found now is restaring Server when DMS is installed. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 reboots to make it available back again.
Of course this is related with problems that people cannot check in documents on DMS server.

Sap content server - error sending certificate - HTTPIO_PLG_NO_MPI_INIT

Hello all,
we have installed the SAP content server and created a new repository which has the status running.
Now when we go to OAC0 and the send certificate button, we get an error message:
Error in HTTP Access: IF_HTTP_CLIENT->RECEIVE 1 HTTPIO_PLG_NO_MPI_INIT
Message no. CMS166
Why can I not send the certificate?

What i mean is you need a user that has both local machine administration rights and local domain administration rights. This is due to the fact that it installs some web components that require domain admin. If you don't install with this, its likely you will be able to test connection fine but receive errors when trying to send the certificate. This issue cannot be resolved after the installation. i.e. if you install with the incorrect admin rights and then adjust these afterwards, it will still not work, and the only solution is to reinstall with the correct rights.

Content Server Error Handler

I have an Intranet site let's say www.xyz.com and it has restricted access. So before anyone gets to the site, they have to be authenticated.
If a users press "Esc" for authentication(cancells Authentication), then the Site Studio Error handler is not triggered, but it returns a content server message
"Content Server Request Failed
Node access denied "
How can I customize this? - basically to add a custom message.

I am trying to write a Java utility that will create a document using Content Server HTTP API in a repository with security turned on. I use SAP SSF classes to calculate the secKey value for my request, but everytime I get HTTP 401 error and the Content server log contains following error:

I tried to implement the interface with C# and got same error as you mentioned above (Security SsfVerify failed rc=12, lasterror=18, decoding error for).
I'm not sure if my problem comes from the certificate which I created using makecert.exe or if I did somethime wrong signing the URL. How did you create your certificate?

HTTP 500 internal server error in HTTP - RFC

Hi,
I configured for HTTP-RFC and when i send data from 3rd party system with the help of url for http sender, it gives HTTP 500 internal server error. I am getting this error on 3rd party system.
I am using the following url
http://SAPDEV03:8000/sap/xi/adapter_plain?namespace=http%3A//sap.com/xi/OilPRAInterfaces&interface=BAC_CheckIn&service=com_apachecorp_TOBIN_DEV&QOS=BE&sap-client=001&sap-language=EN
I have entered PISUPER log on details in sicf transaction in PI so that it wont prompt for id and pw and thats why i removed id and pw from the url also.
Is it because the 3rd party system not registerd in sld properly ?
I got the response ok with the HTTP client testing tool.

I am getting the error in the sender system. I have a doubt that the message is not reacing PI itself. I dont see any messages in sxmb_moni when i send the data from 3rd party application system but i can see the data when i send it from HTTP cleint tool.
can yu plz check whether my url is correct or not and how to make confirm that the TS and BS created in sld for the 3rd party application system r correct and working properly.
when i test from HTTP client i am getting the response code as ok. when i compare with the response file from the BC it has data for the other fields but the response in HTTP client has just OK code and i dont see the data for other fields.

UWL Inbox - view task item is giving 500 internal server error in HTTPS

We have configured external URL Portal to be accessible via HTTPS internet.
The UWL main page is loading in portal without any issue in HTTPS connection. . If I click any task in the uwl inbox list... i am getting 500 internal server error.
FYI u2013 we have no issue in INTRANET connection. The issue is only with https.
Some reason https => http => https switch/redirect is not happening in UWL components. Not sure where the issue is. We are using CA Siteminder proxy rule with F5 load balancer.
