Content Server URL not working.Win2008-MAXDB 7.6.06.20-IIS7

Hello Experts,
I have installed Content Server 6.4 successfully on WIN2K8 with IIS7 and MAXDB 7.6.6.20
When i tried to access the content server url, i was prompted with a POP UP asking for download of ContentServer.dll.
I have strictly followed the installation guide -CONTENTSERVER on WIN 2008 and installed all the necessary roles mentioned in the installation guide.I have also checked the option - install website during my installtion.but still facing the issue while accessing content server URL.
While going through SDN forums, in some of the threads, it was mentioned that manual installation of content server website has resolved the issue.
Could any one please let me know the procedure to be followed for manual installation of content server website to the port manually.
Or
Kindly suggest the solution for this, if you have come across the similar issue.

1) Firstly check whether you have installed all the components pertaining to IIS 7.0 in your system
2) Check whether you have allowed contents like *.dll in the IIS

Content Server Settings not working (for PPM)

Hi,
We are on PPM5.0.
We have set up the Content Server settings according to the PPM
configuration guide.
We, however, still see the documents (uploaded in the project) showing
up on the PPM Server.
We checked the entries in table CFF_CONT (in the PPM server), and see
the contents updating when a document is uploaded. This makes us
conclude that the documents are still not being stored on the Content
Server.
Any switch/flag that needs to be set/reset in the WAS and/or Content Server that'll help??

SAP Content server will not communicate with MaxDb 7.8

Hello all
For the past few months we have been testing an upgrade from SAP CS 630 to SAP CS 640 and from MaxDb 7.6 to MaxDb 7.8. We are also moving both applications to a new server. We have test the process at least 10 times in the past 4 month and this weekend was go live. We shut down CS and put the database in ADMIN mode to do a backup of the most recent data. The database was transfered to the new server and was restored using Data Manager 7.6. Once the restore was complete, we ran the MaxDb 7.8 upgrade program as ADMIN and it appeard that eveything was ok. One other note, because on the old server the database was approaching the 90% mark, we increased the nubmer of data areas on the new server from 15 to 25. Everything appeard to go ok during the upgrade and I was able to connect to the database using Data Studio. Once we confirmed the database was what we though was stable, we CHANGE THE IP ADDRESS of the new server to that of the old server. We had done this during our testing and eveything appears to work OK with our test SAP instance. Well, this time when we connect to CS via the localhost connection, CS returned that we were on line with SAP, but that we were not connected to the database.
This is what we normally see:

Not sure what happened, but we ended up going back to the old server until we can determine what went wrong. Does anyboy have any suggestion as to why this could have happened and what we need to do to fix the issue.

Thanks all for the help, but we found the problem. 6 weeks ago we upgraded to ECC 6 and at that time we have a problem with the certificates, so we could not retreive any documents. There is a check box in the CSADMIN configuration that disables the check for the certificate, so we disabled the check. Everything work OK with patch version 9, even when we fixed the certifiactes. For some reason patch 11 did not like that box checked. Once we on checked the box, everything worked fine. Since we want to know why this makes a difference I have opened up a note with SAP to see if they can explain the problem

Error while opening content server url

I am working on version 11.1.1.5
My admin server is running and UCM server is also running. But while I am trying to open the content server url ( /cs ) it is giving me following error.

Click here for server process administrationIn weblogic console for datasource CSDS i have checked the connection and it is working fine. So there is no issue with database.
Also I am not getting any error on admin or UCM server console.

ORA-01552: cannot use system rollback segment for non-system tablespace '******_OCS'I found the solution, I just created new undo tablespace and make it default. after that tried to execute create statement.
CREATE UNDO TABLESPACE "UNDOTMP"
DATAFILE 'UNDOTMP.DBF01' SIZE 100M REUSE
AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 51200K MAXSIZE 15000M
ALTER SYSTEM SET undo_tablespace=UNDOTMP SCOPE=BOTH; Its working now.

Content server is not running.

All,
I have rather peculiar issue. The external 10.1.3.1 content server is setup against EBS 12.1.3.The content server is running fine and I was able to upload content using it. I fail to upload content all of the sudden until EBS is bounced. Nothing changes on content server side and again it works for day or two and stops and throws "Content server is not running" error. Is there any EBS configuration that can cause this behavior? I do not even see the request being logged in default-web-access-<date>.log on content server that indicates that it is not even reaching content server. It works fine in TEST environment and in PROD it is behaving in this manner. This is a new setup.
Any pointers are appreciated.

The fact that bouncing EBS fixes the issue temporarily indicates that the problem is most likely on the EBS end, but we haven't encountered that specific issue. What OS are you using to host EBS? Are you purging the J2EE cache when you bounce the services?
Feel free to reach out to Anne or myself if you'd like to dive into this. We could test with an alternate content server to see if that helps isolate the problem.

I have Cisco TelePresence SX10 and content sharing is not working when I am dialing through the bridge, I can share the content if I drag and drop from RMX, but if schedule the call in Resource manager or manually dial in from device the content is not going to other hand, I have tried to turn off encryption as well but still same issue. can you please help me out with this. I am from Lion co and purchased sx 10 recently.

Can you please provide us with a little more information on your systems and configuration / topology, such as, what call control are you using (Cisco VCS, CUCM, other?). what type of "Bridge" are you using (is this a Cisco MCU, or Cisco TelePresence Server, or other device?), what versions of the software are on each of the devices, etc. The more information we have about your environment will help us assist you better. But saying that, if all your core equipment isn't Cisco, you may have more luck in the forums for the manufacturer of such equipment (ie Polycom's Support Community).

we are trying to connect LSO with content server repository instead of portal KM .we installed content server 6.40 and connected with ECC and wand create one repository Z_lso via csadmin and oac0 please tell me how do i know and where i get the URL for this repository just like portal KM repository we need to define that URL in LSO settings
"IMG -> Training and Event Management -> SAP Learning Solution - >Authoring Environment -> Specify CMS Address"

WSDL causing CF server to not work

Hello all,
I have a strange situation that I am not sure how to fix. I have a website that uses web services on a different server than what the site is hosted on. Recently the CF server was not working properly. We rebooted it and it worked for about a minute then crapped out again. We found that the webservices on the other server had been stopped for some reason. Once those were turned back on, the CF server was able to run everything just fine and would not freeze up at all. The problem is that the web services can sometimes shut off like that, and it causes our main website to stop functioning until the web service server is rebooted and/or the webservices get turned back on. I am curious if anyone has experienced something similar and knows of a solution. I am not sure why the web services not running could cause the CF server to completely crap out. If anyone has any advice as to how to protect the main site, that uses ther CF server, from breaking if the web services get shut off or that other server goes down. I understand that parts of the site that use the web services would not work, but I can't have the rest of the website break bc the web services are not avilable for a small portion of the site. We use a URL to connect to the web service, like below. Any help would br appreciated. Thanks.

Is your mother on an Auto Pay Plan or does she use a charge card to pay for the $100.00 ? I know this will not make any sense but in plan booklet it states and I will print exactly what its says " You will forfeit the money in your account if you have activated service without a Refill Card and did not make an outbound call within 60 days." I always use a prepaid card and have not made a call within the 60 days and have never been cancelled. I'm not sure what that means but you might want to check with customer service and see if they can give you any details. Is the money from before August still showing up in the account?

Content panel does not work in Online Help file

Using Robohelp 10: When the help file is opened from application, the correct help page is shown on the right hand side but in the Contents panel the Title page item is selected. The content panel does not work.

I think you have not enabled the Folders_g component on UCM .
Enable the component from Administration - Admin Server - Component Manager and then restart UCM server .
Then test to see if the issue still persists .

Crstal Report Server does not working on installation of Crystal Design

Hi,
I had installed Crystal Report Server 2008 on a machine, I was able to login and open the CMC console as well but on installation of Crystal Desing the CMC and inforview are not opening. its displaying some dll file is missing.
Kindly inform whether Server does not work after installation of Design on the same machine.

Mail, iCal Server and iChat server will not work over VPN

I have an Airport Extreme Base Station at the office running the network. Behind it sits a Mac Mini Snow Leopard server running 10.6.3. The ports necessary for Mail, iCal Server and iChat work fine through that external connection. I can also connect with VPN from my 10.6.3 clients.
HOWEVER, when I connect with the VPN clients, I am suddenly unable to access the Mail, iCal Server, Wiki server and iChat server. All connections time out. I can ping the server and I can do other things that do NOT work on the public Airport like ssh or VNC. ssh and VNC are closed at the airport extreme.
So it's pretty odd. When I'm connected via the VPN, all ports that are forwarded to the Snow Leopard server time out over the VPN.
I've tried various and sundry configurations with the VPN client. This includes trying to send all traffic over the VPN, moving it up in the service order, etc. etc. Nothing fixes it. DNS resolution is working fine, however when I do a wireshark capture of ppp0 traffic, I notice that SSL and TLSv1 handshakes appear to occur on the public IP address instead of the private network IP address... and they're all resets.
Has anyone gotten this to work successfully? Like I said, all ports that are NOT forwarded through the Airport work fine over the VPN, but will not work when connected to the VPN. It's really bizarre.

New data: any ports that are normally forwarded on the Airport Extreme to the Mac Mini server will not work when connected to the VPN.
For instance, if I have imaps/993 forwarded from the Airport Extreme to the Mac Mini, it works fine over the Internet. If I connect to the VPN, I can connect to all OTHER services on the Mac Mini, but Mail, for instance, will not work.

Configuration: OSX Lion with Server, iTunes 10.5, latest firmware for the Stora.
Can this be confirmed to be a bug introduced with 10.5 ?
I also saw some people mentioning the same problem on Synology NAS.
Seems like the 10.5 uodate broke something.

Definitely seems to be a cross-platform bug in iTunes 10.5 concerning all NAS disks. Shared libraries on network drives worked fine under 10.4.1, but now there is just an endless loading cycle with no error message or time-out. There is a bit more about it in this thread.

Server does not work in yosemite

Help! My OS X Server does not work after upgrade to Yosemite! Disaster!!!

After the disappointment that I cant manage the servers running the previous versions of OSX server from my upgraded desktop. I upgraded my office server to 10.10 Yosemite with OSX Server 4.0 I am still not able to connect.
I can remote desktop into the server without a problem (both are on the same LAN with the server on .local). But the Server app is not able to connect.
Actions taken so far:
Update software on desktop to 10.10 and Server 4.0
Update software on server to 10.10 and Server 4.0
Verified connection by pinging IP and .local
Verified to connect to the drive and screen sharing via local network
Rebooted router + switch
Rebooted desktop + server
If you manage OSX servers for clients, keep a system on 10.9 around so you can still keep your business running.
Upgrading the server needs to be done on site with display, keyboard and mouse connected.

Well the error message is in Swedish but says: The installation program database is damaged. Please contact the Adobe support (which is a hard thing to do!!). I use Windows 7 Home Premium with service pack 1.
