Content VANISHED! Please Help...
So, I have....er, rather HAD SEVERAL GIGS of music and audiobook content on my iPod to the point of the iPod being nearly full.
After the recent IOS updated, now it seems that 80% of the content on my iPod has vanished--No all content has vanished--just randomly, most of it.
***? Anyone else experience this?
How do I get my content back?
I typically load content (mp3) onto the iPod by dragging the files from Finder straight into the iPod in iTunes rather than copying them to iTunes Library then copying them once more onto the iPod.
Using iTunes/MacBook Pro.
Can anyone help? PLEASE....

Unfortunately, I do not have my content in my iTunes Library. However, I did back-up the ipod to the Cloud prior to updating IOS.
Now, the reason I do not add the content to my iTunes Library BEFORE adding it to my iPod is because adding content to my iTunes Library seems to create another copy of the content. For example, let's say I have a .mp3 file in a folder on my hard drive. When I drag that .mp3 into iTunes Library, it seems to create a copy of the file in the iTunes Library. So, then I am consuming twice the space on my hard drive.
For this reason, I have been just dragging the content from the folder on my hard drive straight into the iPod as it shows up in iTunes.
Am I mistaken in my belief that adding the content to iTunes creates a second content content file in the iTunes Library?
Back to my original problem, if I can't figure out how to restore my iPod from the Cloud back-up, it sounds like I am screwed and must re-add the content to my iPod--several gigs--all over again. Now, if iTunes does NOT create a copy of the content such that I have one file in the MP3 folder on my hard drive and yet another file in my iTunes Library folder, then I will re-add the content to my iTunes Library first before adding it to the iPod.

Open a new Finder window, Finder > File > New Finder Window, and it should appear on the left under Devices.
If you don't see it there, or to get it to show up on the Desktop: Finder > Preferences... General tab, check External disks to have it show on the Desktop, Or Sidebar tab, check External disks under DEVICES. -
my ipod reads "0 KB used" "0 KB free" in the 'About' tab in 'Settings' but my music is GONE!!, no content! PLEASE Help I have or had over 3000 songs on ipod Classic!!
If you have all of the songs and videos still in your library I would recommend doing the restore of the iPod.

How do I access content that has been backed up to iCloud? I no longer have an iphone, but I want to access the music/pictures I've stored to the cloud. When I logged in to iCloud, there was no tab or option to view content. Please help.
Without an iPhone or iPod Touch to restore the backup to, you cannot access the camera roll photos stored in the iCloud backup. Signing into the account on your computer and enabling photo stream will only allow you to access photo stream photos from the last 30 days, and any shared stream you were subscribed to.

Lost entire IWeb content! PLease help!

I worked on my website through IWeb for 4 days now and besides saving it regularly, I lost all my content and projects that were saved on IWeb. Do I have any chanc ein getting it back. If I go on IWeb now it's empty!
The only thing I did is installing Cyberduck and preparing everything to copy files and then they weere gone.
Please help so that my hard work wasn't in vain.

NoraTo open your domain file in Lion or Mt. Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.

Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name. -
Table Cell Contents Disappears Please HELP!!!!
PROBLEM: I have a different tables within different table cells in the Master table. One table per Master cell. Once I click on a table cell (0,0) and click on another table cell (1,1) the cell (0,0) blanks out. Likewise with other cells so that if I've click on all the cells in the Master Table and then clicked somewhere else all cell contents have disappeared.
QUESTION: Do I need to call some UI refresh procedure????? I have a cell renderer which returns the table for each Master's Cell.
I don't if this is clear but please help!

the problem is that the DefaultCellEditor can't handle tables.
So you have to write your CellEditor, which returns another table as Editor.

So, I've got several thousand photos, and a decent amount of videos of my daughter, along with a lot of stuff for work stored on my Time Capsule, and now I can't access any of it. I did a fresh install of Mavericks on my MacBook Pro last week sometime, and haven't been able to figure out how to get my files back. Please Help!!! My daughter is 2 and a half, and every picture/video I have of her is locked on this thing. I was planning on making some photo/video projects fo my wife for Christmas, and now I'm definitely not going to be able to pull it off. Her birthday is at the end of January, though, so if I could have it by then, that would rule!
Basically, the bar on the right of the screen has some gray dates, which I can access (all backups after the Mavericks install), and purple dates that go all the way back to March (when I originally purchased and began using the TC) which deny me access/viewing. It's possible that I created a slightly different user name when I reset my MacBook, which I guess is most likely the cause, but I have no idea what to do now to correct it. Thanks for taking the time!Mavericks does really nasty stuff..

We have avoided Mavericks you see knowing that it would cause these kinds of issues..
You never ever load a new OS without doing a disk image beforehand.. TM is not reliable enough or trustworthy to be depended on.
If none of the above work..
I would get a USB drive on the computer and install Mountain Lion or whatever OS you had before you unfortunately upgraded to Mavericks.. Then use TM from that decent installation but mount the sparsebundle and choose the backup from a date well before mavericks was installed.
Once you have extracted the files.. or even done a full restore you might be able to extract the files you want. -

This link works fine in my desktop computer, but when i try to check it with my laptop or netbook, it wont load the video thumbnails or so.
It just keeps saying yükleniyor (loading) and gets stuck.
Some of my friends have the same problem and noone could really give me an answer on that. The flash player version is the same with my desktop and laptop. I tried it over various browsers including IE, Chrome and firefox.

My 8,614 photos have vanished - please help!
I opened up iPhoto and it is as empty as the day I bought the laptop. Frustratingly I was days away from spending a whole day backing them all up which would have been a nightmare of a task, I am just hoping that they are hiding in some file somewhere but I've had a good look already.
The only thing giving me hope is that I don't seem to have gained an extra GB of space which surely I would have done if they have all vanished?
Any ideas folks?Sounds like a damaged database file:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and point it at the Library in your Pictures Folder. If iPhoto sees a valid Library there it will open it.
If not: Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.
Backing up 8,000 pics is not “ a nightmare of a task”. I back up 22k pics hourly every day.
Simply: get an external HD and copy your iPhoto Library to it. Job Done. To keep it up to date use an app that will do incremental back ups such as DejaVu. There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate.
If you have any value in your pics you won’t wait to back up.

5.0.4 : Objects Vanishing - PLEASE HELP!
Placed, dragged or created objects (images, text, vectors) are mysteriously disappearing in the latest version of inDesign, but only on certain pages. It appears to happen very randomly. Once they vanish they cannot be selected using the selection tool, however, a 'select all' will show their edges. Once selected this way, they can be made to re-appear by making a modification to them - for instance, adding a stroke. However, after saving and re-opening the document, they are once again invisible. I have tried a number of things to fix this, all to no avail:
1) delete prefs and plist files
2) flatten files so there is no transparency or alpha
3) save images in jpeg, png and other formats
4) eliminate transparency on specific pages
5) placing images, or alternately dragging them
Anyone have any ideas? It is officially killing me.
ThanksBuko, CS3 was actually the first version to supposedly support Leopard, CS2 was not, but CS3 was. Though CS4 does it much better.

In OSX you cannot allocate memory to any application (except Photoshop where you can set a percentage of the total amount of RAM that Photoshop will use, which isn't the same thing). Even if you have 10GB RAM, applications do not support the use of that many. Photoshop for instance will only use around 3GB maximum. Most have an upper limit in the application itself. Also, the use of existing RAM is also affected by how many applications (and which) you run at the same time as you run InDesign. OSX allocates as much ram as it can access and needs for the tasks to be done all by itself. There is nothing you can do about it yourself except not running multiple memory hogging applications at the same time. -
Receiving error message: Your Apple TV is not authorized to play this content. Please help
I'm receiving an error message on my Apple TV. I downloaded a movie to my MAC, the Mac and the Apple TV were in sync. My Apple TV shows that the movie is "unwatched" in my movie selection area. When I try to play the movie I am receiving the message "YOUR APPLE TV IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO PLAY THIS CONTENT". Has anyone else every had this issue or know how to resolve the problem?

If it's the Apple TV 1 you have: This problem seems to have started around October 28, it appears to affect content purchased only on other devices but played on the Apple TV 1.
There have been other workarounds suggested from time to time, but I have found the simplest solution is to purchase something on the Apple TV 1 directly (There may be free content in some locations and this appears to work just as well).
Once the content has been purchased, it will not only play as normal, but will also allow all other content purchased on other devices after October 28 to play as well.
Some have reported that it's necessary to restart the Apple TV before and/or after purchase, but I found it worked without. -

A Reverse Proxy could do this but keep in mind that the primary goal of the RP is to shield your back channel infrastructure IP/access from either Internet or your private network e.g. secure your back channel infrastructure with a Firewall and expose it only to your Reverse Proxy infrastructure; quite effective for DoS type of attack.
Apache can be configured to do both static content as well as Reverse Proxy.

I just created an Apple Id for my wife and a user account for her. We are on the same computer (iMac). I cant for the love of God get my itunes library to show on her user account on computer. My library shows up under shared library when i select it it just keeps loading and nothing. When i try the hold down option while opening itunes on her user account and then choose library my library doesnt show up as option. What in the world am i doing wrong, why is Apple making this so difficult. We are not going to buy separte computers just to share itunes content. Please help.
You can sync devices with the same iCloud ID, not seperate ones.
If she has a different login on your Mac, make sure she has her own ID defined in System Prefs > iCloud -
Iphone in recovery mode? PLEASE HELP
Hello everyone. the iOS 8 update came out today and I wanted to download the update through my computer onto my iPhone 5s. i plugged in my phone and it said backing up and all. It then said Validating update and my iPhone went to the white screen with the apple logo and the bar started moving. As my phone was updating, it was almost finished when something came up that said it couldn't be downloaded, because I had an older version of iTunes. The iPhone still plugged in, I downloaded the new version of iTunes. (11.4) Then I unplugged my phone. I plugged it back in and it said that my phone was in recovery mode and it needed to be restored to factory settings before I can do anything. I am so worried that I will lose everything. I didn't click restore yet because I am afraid I will lose all my photos(over 9,000) and everthing else I have on there. If I click restore iPhone, and it goes back to factory settings, i'll have iOS 8 but what about all my content? Will the option to back up everything from when i first plugged it in be there? I'm scared to click restore and not be able to restore from backup. I can't do anything on iTunes but click restore. If i go to file, devices, it wont let me click restore from backup. If I restore back to factory settings to get out of recovery mode, will i be able to back up all my content? PLEASE HELP. I know for a fact it was backed up a few hours ago, it says exactly when. If I hit restore iPhone, and everything goes back to factory settings and I have the new update, will I be able to Restore from backup? PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Restoring your iPhone is your only option to get it back up. You can check for that back up that happened before you originally tried to update.

Iphone image - png cannot open in CS3
