Content Viewer not found

When I try to preview a folio on the desktop I get the message: An error has occurred while generating folio preview. Could not find the Adobe® Content Viewer.
I unistalled Air and installed it again. Everything is up to date (worked before the update). Where is the Content Viewer?

I am getting the "An error has occurred while generating folio preview. Could not find the Adobe® Content Viewer." when I try to preview a Folio from the tutorial detailed on:

I am on a Mac running OS X 10.8.2 (12C60) Fully Patched and up to date and am using the Creative Cloud subscription with everything installed by the Adobe Application Manager.
Have unistalled InDesign CS6 and reinstalled using AAM then reinstalled DPS tools using Help>Updates no reported problems during the process.
Am NOT seeing Adobe Content Viewer in Applications and I have looked in the directory you quote above:
3) If it isn't installed try installing it from /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Installers/AdobeDigitalPublishingCS6/ContentViewer/Adob eContentViewer.air
This I find most curious - that directory does NOT exist. I have searched the machine for the file 'Adob eContentViewer.air' with and without the space in Adobe and nothing is found.
Fairly clear that the Content Viewer is NOT installed. Also, not sure if this is relelvant at the moment but I am not seeing an option to preview on my iPad even though it is connected and I have installed the content viewer app on the device.
What next please?

This is rather silly but I looked to see where the installer logs are ready if you asked for them and following the instructions on the page pointed to above the Air Framework directory doesn't exist either. BUT I found what looks like the Air Framework files under Applications>Adobe Flash CS6 :

Also, read up on how to grant explicit priviliges to schemas on procedures/views and tables. This may be necessary in order for a dbms_job to function as expected.

CMR JDEV9032 TABLE VIEW NOT FOUND

Hello,
I'm breaking my head on the following:
I created two entity beans (A and B). Both are CMP EJB's.
In EJB terms : A has the field (id, name), B also.
In the deployment descriptor I set a CMR relationship from A to many B's. This is just like the example of the EMP DEPT. The only difference is that there are no tables mappped yet of the EJB's A and B. They are to be generated at deployment time by the oc4j instance.
This goes correctly. The tables are created (no intermediate tables are created), direct foreign keys (I'm using oc4j 904 pre to do this).
So the idea is to work from EJB's and not to worry about the database.
Since I'm using a CMR (so local interfaces are used), I created a Session Facade, so that I can try to create entity (read records) through a sample client (generated by JDeveloper 9032).
I can create individual ejbs (==records), I see them in the database. But the moment I try to relate the objects (either by doing a B.setA(LocalA) on the B-entity or by adding to the collection A.getBees().add(LocalB)) it goes wrong.
None of these work. I get a table or view not found exception. This is strange, since I can see at deployment that two tables are generated, exaclty like I expected. But setting the relationship is very hard !!!!!!
My question is: who can help me on this ? I found some examples on otn.oracle.com, but they NEVER described the situation where you want to set the relationship.
Now I'm working for a customer and the deadline is reaching. JDeveloper 9032 is the developerplatform. The embedded OC4J shipped with JDeveloper has a bug (Datasource not closed), that's why I'm using the OC4J 904 pre, since the bug is fixed in this release. Of course a Oracle 9i database is used.

The only things I set in the orion-ejb-jar.xml is that datasource name and the table name. I can create instances of the A and B EJB's. Setting the relation between A and B seems to result in the message "Table or View not found".
Furthermore If I try to do:
(on Entity A).
(This code is declared in a SessionFacade EJB which is used to set the relation();

Table or View Not Found Problem

Hi all,
I am facing a strange problem where-in I am calling a query from a normal SQl window which works but the same in Procedure gives me an error.
User A...This runs this statement
Select * from B.emp which gives results. The same statement when I compile in a procedure it gives an error saying Table or View not Found.
User A has a select on B.Emp where B is the owner of table Emp.
I am not able to get to the solution of the same. Is it apossibility of a synonym conflict? Can someone help in what ways this error can come?

I have an xml file that has to be parsed in my application, without changing the XML. I don't have the dtd that is mentioned in the XML file.

When i run this through it throws an exception with the message
org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: File "..\contents.dtd" not found.
I thought by setting factory.setValidating(false) it would not read the DTD, but it does.
Is there any way to make the document model NOT attempt to read the DTD ???

setValidating(false) has no effect on checking against the DTD.
create your own EntityResolver rather than using new XMLResolver(): in this resolver divert the call to the DTD on an empty XML document.
i have shown how to do so in another thread, just run a search on this forum (this hint is valid for any question btw)

View not found

Недавно у коллеги в окне со списком заявок перестали отображаться заявки со статусом Открыто, Закрыто и соответственно не отображаются Все. "часики" крутятся и ничего не отображается, кроме короткого появления сообщения "View not found". Обновленные и другие категории отображаются нормально.
Сегодня у меня в HelpDesk тоже перестали отображаться заявки, аналогично, как и у коллеги. Выяснил по логу, что мы одновременно в одну секунду одну и ту же заявку закрывали, как дубликат и присоединяли к другой. У коллеги пошли какие-то глюки и он удалил заявку. В итоге у меня теперь список заявок не грузится.
Как это может лечиться? Явно приложение сформировать список с определенным статусом не может.

Like last time: documentation is not a big help here, so you have to do a bit of investigation yourself.

('content' is the name of the result set)
I can't imagine why you would need such a result set while checkin in a new revision to a folder, but the documentation (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/doc.1111/e11011/c08_folders.htm#i1082329) advices that some sub services are called, so it might actually be an error coming from these subservices. I'd suggest to narrow down the search first - turn on requestaudit in server-wide tracing (see here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/doc.1111/e10792/c02_processes.htm#CSMSP536).
Alternatively, you could also perform your service call from GUI and trace what parameters are provided. I guess something will be missing.

Portlet Exchange 2000 view content messages not found

I installed and configured the portlet exchange 2000 (March 2003).
I can access the inbox.asp, calendar.asp and contacts.asp the login is OK, but when I want to view the content for a message show me the error file not found,
I review many times the configuration and was Ok.
Do you have any information about this??

Hi,
From your posts it seems like an issue with the setup of the Exchange Portlets.
With Exchange portlet you need do the following:-
1. Installing the ASP files on Internet Information Server
2. Updating provider.xml
3. Publishing the Microsoft Exchange 2000 Portlets
4. Creating the External Application
5. Registering the Microsoft Exchange 2000 Provider
Each of these tasks have been elaborated in the install document and I am sure that you must have followed the same. Just verify these steps to ensure that you have not missed out on anything.
Ideally with Exchange Portlets, if you have followed all the steps and your setup is in line with the requirements you should not run into these problems.
If you still are running into erros, please mention the Portal version, Exchange version, IIS version and the Machine setup too.

Adobe Content Viewer not installed on V28

Today I updated both my CC and CS6 versions of InDesign, so I now have V28 of DPS tools, however there is no Content Viewer app available for my Mac (Running )SX 10.8.5).
When I try to preview on Desktop via the Folio Builder panel, an error stating that the Adobe Content Viewer couldn't be found comes up.
All the Adobe Support documents go through the process of finding the AdobeContentViewer.air file in the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Installers/AdobeDigitalPublishingCS6/ContentViewer folder, but I only have three files in that folder:
Adobe AIR Installer.app
Install Adobe Content Viewer.app
Install DPS App Builder.app
So I can't double-click it to reinstall it.
My Air is up to date, my Updates are all up to date, and I can't find how to unistall InDesign (I am a Creative Cloud subsriber).
I used my Time Machine backup to go and get it from a back up, but it wouldn't install when I double-clicked the old version (I was getting desperate!)
However I can preview the same Folio on my connected iPad running the latest version of the Adobe Content Viewer app
After a live chat, then over two hours on hold for some UK technical support on my land line, and just over an hour on my mobile, plus a Skype call to the US 800 number to be informed of over an hour's wait there, and to discover UK support is only during office hours, and after nearly two hours it has passed 5.30pm, I had to give up on Adobe's official technical support, and resort to more searching on Adobe forums, but have found nothing for CC or CS6 that I haven't already tried, except unistalling and reinstalling InDesign. But I can't find how do that via Creative Cloud. At one point I had to tell one of the nice indian "technical support" staff not to put me back in the same loop as I'd been in twice before as I was close to tears. He sympathised but told me it wasn't his area of expertise - surprise surprise... Not a good day.
Pleeeese, is anyone else having this problem, or has anyone else solved this problem?

Thanks Neil, that worked once I'd installed it directly into the Applications folder, not within a subfolder.
So if anyone else has this issue, install the Desktop Viewer app for CC and it works for both CS6 and CC.
NOTE, that you need to double-click the Install Adobe Content Viewer.app file, don't look for a file called Install Adobe Content Viewer.air as per the instructions, as they are out of date.
Phew, I have finally got all my DPS functionality back, and have created a V27 app using V28.

Loaded dump from 12.5.4 to 15.7, Error 622 & Tables/Views not found

Hi all,
I am getting desperate trying to fix that issue. I had to import a dump from an ASE 12.5.4 into a new database on an ASE 15.7. I therefore enabled the compatibility mode server-wide and then proceeded to the load which seems to have performed correctly. The database seems well imported, and I can access most of the tables/views/procedures (from my C# application), but a procedure is giving me troubles.
I am getting this error while executing a given procedure :
Error: 622, Severity: 20, State: 1
Opentable was passed a varno of 52. Object 'temp worktable' in database 'tempdb' already has that session descriptor in use. This occured while opening object id -1245236 in database id 2.
I realised this was caused by a view which is used in this procedure but which is weird is that the error is not thrown when running the SQL code itself, out of the procedure context.
I am using Toad for Sybase as a client, and realised I cannot access the data tab of the concerned view, Toad gives me the same error. So I cannot execute this view while it performs without any trouble on the original server (production server which runs ASE 12.5.4).
I also realised, when trying to execute some pieces of the query individually that I get warnings about unfound tables (and that I should use sp_help to fix the problem). Although, the tables actually exists and I can access their data.
I have tried so many things and still cannot fix this problem. I've used 'upgrade_object', 'sp_recompile' on all tables, 'dbcc reindex' on all tables.
Would you have any idea where the problem could come from? Thank you very much

Good to know that enabling compatibility mode before or after loading the load doesn't have any effect.
I didn't drop/recreate all the SP and views but I can tell you I recreated a similar view and it causes the same issue.
I had a look at your link yes. I have run 'dbcc upgrade_object' several times already, on the view and the procedures calling the view, and it won't solve anything.
I've seen a similar post about the problem I have when executing the code itself of the view in a "normal" adhoc query (errors saying the tables are not found) : SAP Sybase Forums - ASE - Backup and Recovery - PRoblem after restore - Object does not exist.
Could it be the same problem for me?
Although I've tried splitting the SQL query and executing the parts individually and it works without any trouble. Problem is when the 2 parts of the view are put together. It may be something that was possible with ASE 12.5.4 but not with 15.7 and that compatiblity mode doesn't solve. My view consists of an union a two selects where both have left joins, case when then else, not in and a final group by (adding an order by doesn't help, as I tried).
PS : I don't have access to the production server where the dump is actually from (but I could if it is really necessary)

Content Viewer not refreshing, old folios disappeared

I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this and if this issue is related to some of the other download problem threads?
My clients contacted me that they were unable to see recent updates I made to our shared development folio. I was able to replicate this as my own folios have stopped updating since yesterday afternoon.
I deleted and re-installed the content viewer on my iPad, and since then all my previous folios fail to show up on the iPad.
I created a small folio, with a blank page, this does show up. However any updates with a bit of content in them appear to upload correctly, but the folios no longer refresh on the iPad.
Several clients also tried to either "archive" existing folios in the hope that they would subsequently refresh, or deleted the content viewer from their iPads with similar resuts to mine.
When starting the content viewer I coccasionally receive a message that says "Cannot contact server, an error has occurred"
Are other folks experiencing this?

OK, I figured out this was an orientation issue, related to a bug discussed in post:

Apparently when uploading something like a 1024x4000 vertical smooth scrolling stacks, one must
a.) specify an _h filename postfix (makes sense)
b.) Do NOT use the "add" or "update" function of the folio producer tools, but instead use the "import" function for the file's orientation to be interpreted correctly (a work-around)
c.) After import, change the default orientation after importing a _h postfix file from horizontal only to "both" or "vertical"

Preview working on Desktop Content Viewer - not on iPad

Hello all,
As the title suggests, I have a page layout with MSO's and buttons within it that works perfectly well on the content viewer, but then doesn't work on iPad.
To give a brief overview...
I have one MSO with 5 states... It is a block of text on the left with two buttons in a column on the right hand side of the page.
Each of these buttons when clicked reveals an image over the top of the text so you can gain an idea of what the text is talking about. So...
State 1: Text
State 2: Text w/ Image 1
State 3: Text w/ Image 2
State 4: Text w/ Image 3
State 5: Text w/ Image 4
Now as the images are two sets (I don't want you to be able to view them all in one go, one after the other) I've had to change the destination each button links you to within each Multi state. This is quite hard to explain, but I will try...

Read the text, click Button 1 to view Image 1, then Image 2... then another click takes you back onto the text.

Obviously I am open to suggestions if I have approached the logic of this wrong, but I was just curious because as I said, it works on the desktop viewer and then not on the iPad.
To note: I have read up on potential bugs, and so have removed < >'s from the layering names, as well as making sure there are no transparencies as I've heard these can cause problems.

I have a similar problem. My folio has hyperlinks that bring the user to another page in the same article. They work on the content viewer on my mac but not on my ipad help anyone?

CRYSTAL REPORT VIEWER NOT FOUND IN VC++

I am migrating our appn VC++ 6.0 code to VS 2010(MFC code compiled in VS2010). I could able to compile all the code in VS 2010 and i am created vb.net report application using crystalreport viewer, it working fine, afterthat i am converted vb.net code to C#.
My questions are,
1) how to add crystalreportviewer control in VC++ (searched not found) or alternative any control is available in vc++ using same c# code?
2) if its possible , to load rpt files without viewer control ? ,if yes, please provide me sample code.

Content Viewer not updating

I built a folio last week which displayed properly in Content Viewer.
Since then, we have added more content to it. The build continued to work in Content Viewer, then all of a sudden, it stopped updating.
I stripped the folio back to what it was before we added further content and it still wouldn't update.
I left it during the weekend, then when I attempted to view it again this morning, Content Viewer still didn't offer an update.
I've spent two hours this morning rebuilding the folio under another name. It appeard in the viewer and has given me updates every time I've added new content. Now, it has stopped offering updates and there is no way to test the folio, very frustrating and time consuming!
I have attempted to download the folio in both the release version of Content Viewer, and in my own custom content viewer. Still nothing. The content is showing in Folio Producer, so I know it has succesfully uploaded.
What is the solution to a non-responsive Content Viewer?

this doesn't seem to be happening to us any more.
obviously we have another problem now...the certificates won't validate despite being walked through it by the dps tech team. this service is attrocious.
we've produced two mags with adobe dps and both of them have missed the event they were designed for.
WE WILL NOT BE USING ADOBE DPS AGAIN.

if you publish them as private and sign into the viewer with your email etc then they show up
I think it may be a sneaky way of limiting how much people can do with a free account
