Context Tab in Issues Management

Within transaction DSWP or SOLUTION_MANAGER, i can create new issues.
However, during the creation i am unable to get the Business Scenarios & Processes listed in the "Context Tab".
In addition to that, i am unable to list the PROJECT associated to the Issue within the same Tab.
Questions:
1) What do i need to setup/configure so Users have the option of selecting the Business Scenario and Process.
2) What do i need to setup/configure so Users have the option of selecting the Project associated.
3) What do i need to setup/configure so i can get these issues to be listed under "Issues/Messages" Tab in SOLAR01 and SOLAR02

Hi Ramesh,
I am not sure of the reasons why you are planning to use 'Create Issues' as opposed to 'Create Messages'.
If you are flexible on this, and can use 'Messages', some of the following suggestions can be valid:
If a user creates a Message straight from SOLAR01, SOLAR02 transactions, the Project reference is maintained in the window.
If NOTIF_CREATE is used, the user can still refer the Project Name by manually picking/entering it.
It still does not refer (propose) the Business Process/Step context, within the body of the message, unfortunately.
Only in the case of 'Messages' created from Testing Workbench (STWB_WORK), the message refers more 'context' information like Test Case, Package name etc. In fact, from Testing Workbench, you don't have an option of whether to create an Issue or a Message - the system proposes only the 'Message' window.
In a way, I would recommend using 'Messages' for all SOLAR01, 02 & STWB_WORK related issues coming up for attention and use 'Issues' to capture 'Project' or 'Programme' level topics deserving higher attention.
Now, in specific answers to your 3 queries:
1) If it's Messages, the user can't select; if it's Issues, the user can select only if the Issue is with reference to a Solution (and not Project), in my understanding. If know more, will revise this
2) If it's Messages, the system will propose OR the use can assign at the time of creation (if accessed via NOTIF_CREATE)
3) No configuration necessary; the Issues or Messages created from a given node will be visible against that node anytime you see it

I have created ZSSI t.code (Copy of SLFI).
1.When i try to create issue in DSWP and in SOLAR01, i could able to create only SLFI not ZSSI. How to get my transaction type ZSSI in DSWP and SOLAR01.
2.When i create the issue, i could not able to select the "Project" in the "Context" tab. How to link the project with an issue?
3. While creating the issue in DSWP, i need to specify the entry in the "Subject" field. I would like to add the custom defined "Subject" entries. How to add entries in the "Subject" field apart from the standard dropdown?
4. In the tab "Service Session", i could not able to assign any service sessions. How to assign this? How to create service session in DSWP?

Regarding the customizing, I think that note 1019583 would be helpful for you as it brings information on customizing in issue management. Check if you have done it correctly.

Hiding unused Tab on Issue Maintenance

Hi,
If we go to SOLAR01 or SOLAR02, then to tab "Issues/Messages", then can create new issue, we will get "Issue Maintenance" screen. There are 7 tabs (Description, Context, Recommended Task,etc).
Now, if we only need two tabs (eg. "Description" and "Process Information"), how to hide others?

I am sorry if this reply does not help you; just wanted to share two observations:
(1) This functionality of Issue Management (either clicked from SOLAR01/02 or via SOLMAN_ISSUE_MGMT) is relatively recent function - I wouldn't expect too much of a flexibility in configuring it.
(2) Even otherwise, if you opted for 'Messages' (transaction type SLFN called in background) as opposed to Issues (SLFI), there is not much flexibility on such matters

The problem is customizing Issue Management scenario at step "Troubleshooting".
When I execute this action, I go to smsy transaction->Settings -> Self-Diagnosis

I've tested in sicf transaction that /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/dswp_sd_settings/ service (right click->test service), appears a log-on popup I type usr j2ee_admin and pwd, and the same error appears.
I'm logged with user to configure Solution Manager
which was SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW profile and a Z_RFC rol with( S_RFC,
S_RFCACL authorizations object).

Can I use a project/issue management software with LabVIEW?

There are project/issue management softwares.
I only know Redmine.
Can I use LabVIEW with such softwares?

I am not aware, that you can hook LabVIEW to tools like bug tracing databases in a native way.
What you can do is performing that link in a context of requirements management. Use NI Requirements Gateway for this functionality.

Hiding/Disabling the resources tab under project management.

Hi,
We need to hide/disable the resources tab in project management screen. We are not using project resource management module and also the Profile Option "PA: Licensed to use Project Resource Management" has been set to "No".
Can someone suggest a solution for the same.

I already got an response to the issue from Julia through Oracle Community...
Below is the solution -
For the Project Management Responsibility where you want your Resource Tab to be disabled:
Go to a System Administrator responsibility - Security - Responsibility-Define.
Look for your resposibility of Project Management.
Under Menu Exclusion Tab add a line with Type Menu and name "Project Resource Sub Tab".
Click Save button and then go to check in your responsibility if the Resources Tab is disabled. (it should be).

Issue management during implementation

Hello!
We are planning to use issue management in blueprinting and config phases in our rollout. We have SM 7.0 SPS16 with Workcenters configured. In Solar01/02 when I create an issue at a relevant project structure node I get the window " Issue Maintenance".
How or where do I configure for the following settings in the " Issue Maintenance " window.
1. Priority - I want to customize the drop-down menu with my own. (Instead of the default 1. very high...etc.)
2. Subject - I want to customize the drop-down menu entries in this field too.
3. I want to hide the tabs "Service sessions" and "Change requests" as we are not using this.
Appreciate your help and inputs.

1) Use OSC3 or OCS3 transaction, i could't remember which one
2) You will have to use transaction SPRO and navigate to "Define Catalogs, Codes, Code Groups" and make changes there. After that you need to adjust/customize Code Groups, followed by Code Group Profile, followed by Subject Profile. Then you will have to make changes to Transaction Type SLFI. It's quite a lot of work
3) I am not sure if you can hide those tabs.

Services tab in netinfo manager emtpy

Hello,
I have just gotten a new core 2 duo mac book pro. And I am noticing that it will not mount other macs on my network. I also noticed that the services tab in netinfo manager is empty...which is unlike my desktop that I have.
Does anyone know a reason that would cause this?

If you look at the top of your NetInfo Manager window
you will see (i'm guessing) local @ localhost
-/. If you select /services you normally
don't see anything because you are not running any
web/server services. You are basically using the
wrong tool to check IP/network issues.
Network Utility is the item you want to use... but it
will not scan the network you must get the addresses
from the computers first.
Have you tried to Repair Permissions with Disk
Utility or any other troubleshooting steps?
Can you get out to the web?
I do see local @ localhost -/...but in my other mac computer (my desktop I select netinfo manager and it shows services.
I can get to the web...in fact I can ssh and ftp into other computers...but I cannot get the other file servers to mount...it keeps giving me this darn -35 error
I have repaired permissions and that does not help.

i have checked the service, the specified service is active and tested also. the main screen apprears, the problem is with the next screen.
there is one more service dswp_im_issue_mgmt , the problem is coming with that service.
In our system, two service are active with the same name(dswp_im_issue_mgmt ) in that one is active and other is not active.
I tried to delete one but i got a message that the service is no more valid. is it because of this am getting the error
kindly clarify.
I tried to run the SIAC_LIST_UNPUBLISHED but it was not there in the system.

Error in tab of Portfolio Management

Hi All
I have a problem several users connect to the portal on the tab of Portfolio Management are presented with these messages:
Error connecting using JCO Client: null
No portfolio was found: Contact your system administrator
Error connecting using JCO Client: null
I reviewed if exist objects blocked in portal and users blocked in xrpm but nothing is blocked
Any suggestions on how this problem reslover?

Issue management in Solution manager

Hi,
We are in design phase for Solution manager 4.0. The requirement is now that we want to Internally (250 Sap experts divided in functional groups) involve other support groups or employees to the support message.
From the theories available I would say to use Issues (SLF2 or SLFI (4.0), linked to the support message (SLFN), eventual changes can be linked to this issue as well. within the issue it is possible to assign tasks to groups and(?)/or employees.
When a change request is available, no issue is necessary to involve (assign tasks) to employees or groups?
Another sound here is to use the "task" message in order to involve other people.
I am wondering what would be the smartest solution and why. Please help.

Nadine the only pain that I see by using the Issues Management component for project issues is that people who wont normally log into Solution Manager (project managers, integration leads, org change leads, etc) will now need a SAP user ID and training on the system. Even though this is very minimal training, and its probably good for them to use the SAP interface, it isnt as quick as using Sharepoint, an E room or spreadsheets.
But if it is project issues associated to business processes (thats how it sounds based on your other posts), this could be very useful. Again the functionality is mature enough to deploy according to your requirements, but prepared for some whining and pushback.

Web Dynpro Code Wizard doesn't have context tab

When doing web dynpro development and when clicking the Web Dynpro Code Wizard, I can't see the context tab. It looks like this: [http://twitpic.com/z2q92]. In other SAP systems I have seen the wizard look like this, where it has two tabs one of which is the context tab: [http://twitpic.com/z2qgh]. As the context tab is very useful, I would like to know how to get it to display.
I have searched in the SE80 settings and can't find any option related to this. I also searched the forums here and could not find any related posts. We're using the 700 release level 13 (as seen in this screenshot: [http://twitpic.com/z2qkf]). Is there something I can do to make this tab appear? If we need to implement a note or a newer support pack, which one would it be?

As you stated the system without the context tab is NetWeaver 7.0. The context tab and the extra wizards were new features in NetWeaver 7.0 Enhancement Package 1. Your system would have to be updated to this NetWeaver Enhancement Package level in order to have this functionality.

Configuration of Issue Management tables

I am looking to configure the tables in Issue Management but I cannot seem to find them via the SPRO transaction.
Is there a guide on how to do the configuration for Issue Management?

Please look at Note 1019583. In TA SOLMAN_ISSUE_MGMT there are also the usual Wed Dynpro ALV customizing possibilities (independent of Issue Management).

Business Context Tab

Hi,
In business context tab I am getting service contracts attached to my transaction. I dont want to have service contracts in the business context tab.
I just want business activites and attachments in business context tab.
Please let me know how can this be acheived.

Hello,
Basically the business context area is displaying data stored in the activity clipboard. So you might try to adapt the following IMG:
SPRO >> CRM >> Interaction Center WebClient >> Basic functions >> Define activity clipboard profile
Try to remove object BT_SC from the corresponding profile used in your business role.
And if that doesn't work, you can try to debug method COLLECT_BUSCONTEXT of class CL_ICCMP_BT_CUCOBUSCONTEX_IMPL to see where you could adapt standard logic to filter BDC information.
