Continual Crash of System - HELP!!

I bought a Powerbook G4 15 inch in July of this year. It worked fine for a couple of weeks, but since then has crashed a number of times. The first time required a complete re install of the OS. Since re installing the machine still crashes - not once but often several times a day. Sometimes I get a blue screen, other times it re loads, sometimes I have to re install. I have spoken to Apple Support - what a laugh. Many hours later and money spent at Apple Distributors and still no luck. Considering the machine is not even 4 months old and I moved from a Dell with 24 hour on site support, my current impression of MACs is not good. Can anyone assist with this problem???

Hi, Caryn, and welcome to Apple Discussions. Your Powerbook is Aluminum, not Titanium, but you've posted in a forum devoted to the older Titanium models. You might have better success in the 15" Aluminum PB forums, where others who have the same Powerbook model can share their experience. You will get the best advice if you can clearly describe specific problems and the actions that led up to them.
That said, though, it sounds as if you have hardware issues that should be addressed under warranty, not at your expense. If you've been charged for service, I can't imagine why.
Apple's warrranty/service/repair model doesn't offer on-site service, I suspect because it is so rarely required. Your experience with your Powerbook is very atypical, and it doesn't sound as though you've been well served by the dealership that has "helped" you with it. If you can't get better advice in the Albook forums, you may want to telephone AppleCare and work your way politely but firmly up through the food chain to someone who has the authority and acumen to tell you something other than "Take it back to the dealer for service."
