Continual searching in BT

Was setting up up Moto S9 stereo headset, no prob, says paired....and goes no further, Beachball spins away, "searching"....seems to not release, with the BT indicator staying grey....
Anyone?

Leslie was recently at our site delivering training for advanced reporting. She mentioned that service manager was in line for changes in future releases. One of the big ones my team has asked about is the tab-enter functionality.
When typing in the search field, you actually have to tab over to 'Search' or hit the button, instead of it automatically focusing when you start typing. A simple thing like that would save a heap of annoyances on our part.

I'm interested in tracking of search terms as well and it sounds like the best method available is to parse the log files. Is there any consensus on the best approach for this?
We've also struggled with search results being to verbose with single or two term searches. I was able to get the "title & keywords only" checkbox to be the default method through some javascript.

Sounds like the device may have had a hardware failure. If it is out of warranty, the only option is the Out of Warranty replacement.
AppleCare is only an option if it is still under the original warranty.

Connection to server failed when selecting continue search on server

Hi,
I have a client that has an Exchange 2007 server and is having problems searching emails on their iPads (and iPhones). When they search and then hit continue search on server, it will come back with a "Connection to Server Failed"
Client claims that it "used to work"
anything we can tweak on the ipad or server to help?

Continue search on server

On my dads iPad, if you search in the mail app you then get an option to "continue search on server". I don't see that on my iPhone. Is there a way to turn it on? Im using gmail set up through the gmail option in mail as an imap account.

I just turned the "exchange" account back on (I had set it up before but had it as inactive) and that account does give me the continue search on server option but doesn't actually give me results even when I know they are there. :-(
I've had to resort to using the web based gmail to find messages and move them to the inbox which is a ridiculous workaround to need.

Once the iPhone Bluetooth setting has been switched on the 5s just continually searches for devices and finds nothing - although the Boombox is beside it on my table (yes, and switched on).

You realize that Mail App checks for mail every time it's opened and that the fetch interval you set applies only to background checks when the app is closed, right?

Music Player continuously searching for songs and ...

I have a N97 running firmware v.21.0.045 and about a week or so ago I was forced to do the hard reset because the phone became so unstable. I left my E: drive (the mass storage) intact including all of my songs, videos and pictures I had stored.
Everything seems to be okay apart from the Music Player which everytime I use it it starts to search for songs and podcasts continuously. I can stop that and it lists all of my music and can play them but the volume control does not work, either from the telephone or the earpiece supplied.
I have tried leaving it searching for hours but nothing changes - it just keeps on searching. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this please or does it mean I have to do another reset of the telephone? It all worked before.
I have tried taking the battery out but this makes no difference.

ok i found the solution here by deleting the corrupted library

Can not continue searching within a web site without going out, then getting back in.

When using the Morningstar web site, as I go from mutual fund to mutual fund the new version of Firefox will not allow me to continue. I have to get out of the Morningstar web site, then get back in to continue my search.

Did you organize your own site menu with another ap. and then import it under the "Advanced" selection or did you create it in .Mac? My problem is that I don't like the options for galleries so I am posting my own via Aperture, but once you click on the link in the site menu, there is no "Back" or "Return to Homepage" option! Your site has the numbers and arrows that allow you to advance through your galleries and to the site menu, and your site menu has hyperlinks to your Aperture posted galleries instead of photo links. How did you achieve this?

What Does Mail "Continue Search on Server..." Mean?

When searching in iPhone Mail, you have the option of continuing the search on the iMap server. It doesn't seem to search the whole server, otherwise it would really find my stuff which I know is there and can be found in Mac Mail.
So if iPhone Mail is through searching on the iPhone, and it doesn't REALLY search the server, what is it searching?

Ask your email provider for the correct settings to use to set it up on your phone.

IPhone 5 support regarding continuous "searching"

I want to express my dismay about the "help" I've received regarding my iPhone 5 that was stuck in "searching" mode for my carrier (Verizon). This problem is all over the 'net, but when I brought the phone to numerous Verizon outlets (both company stores and franchises) and several "genius bars" in Apple stores, the reaction I got was like this was a completely unknown issue. "Let's try turning it off/on, replace the SIM card, etc. etc. etc." Nothing worked, and everyone seemed baffled. This is ridiculous. The motivation seems to be to sell me a new phone for $700. It's not that hard, people. This reeks of a software issue rather than a hardware problem. The solution for me was to download iTunes to my PC, then do a complete backup of the phone, followed by a reset and restore. This completely removed and replaced the software and firmware in the phone, and suddenly, up popped Verizon. Problem solved.

If you are angry that Apple is not allowing the wifi calling feature to a phone that is only a little more than a year old, let them know that you want this feature! We paid a lot of our hard-earned money for our phones and Apple better make it last for more than a two years. Adobe not allowing edits and seems to continue searching for server

Currently running Adobe 10 on a PC and working with a document that is in collaboration with 2 other authors.
The issue I am currently having is that I wish to be able to open the Document, make the necessary edits (and or comments) then save the document. In trying this, in the upper right hand side of the toolbar, the green circle continues to spin and trying to access the server, nor am I able to make the changes to edit and/or save the document. Really feel in ruling out a server issue since it has been behaving this way for 2 weeks. It also keeps prompting me to sign into the document (which I have selected the option to stay "signed-in" and password is correct).
Is there a fix for this or what steps in troubleshooting should I try going forward.

From what you wrote it seems that you are trying to perform a shared review on a PDF rather than having an issue that is exclusive to Adobe Reader / PDF on the local machine.

N70 firmware-update - doesnt continue "searching f...

Hi everybody
I have trouble updating the firmware.
I installed everything as I was supposed to and connected the nokia n70 with the computer via USB. PC Suite recognized the phone and i clicked the button to update the firmware. in the upcoming window "nokia software Updater" i followed the instructions and clicked on start. it started with the message "searching for a connected phone" and thats it. it is searching for... well, 20 minutes now, but earlier this day it was searching for an hour.
Twice i managed to come to "detecting your phone", but those times it got stuck then.
The connection works fine. I can use every other application in pc suite without any trouble. The computer has the requirements and its pretty new, so there should not be any problem.
i also turned off the anti virus program (norton). I reinstalled the software (PC Suite, Software Updater and USB-cable connection) with norten being turned off, but nothing helps
one last thing: i own the phone for 3 weeks now and got it from a friend. the friend had the phone from a contract with vodafone, but i do not believe that there should be a problem.
please help me.
furthermore i just found out that my n70 makes a noise when the light of the phone (display background / keyboard) is on.
The noise is kind of like "hmmmmmm". Like a recharger. what do you know about that?

Here is the reason for the problem
Norton doesnt like the nokia software updater.
I uninstalled norton and suddenly i was able to update my phone.
So:
The reason for hanging at "searching for a connected phone" is norton! deactivating norton does not help! you have to uninstall norton!!!
