Continually Kicked Off My Subscription to CC

This has been going on since I joined CC. At irregular invervals, I am locked out of CC. I have NEVER downloaded a trial version of any Adobe product but periodically (six times in October), I go to open Photoshop and am told my trial version has expired and I have to sign in. That's annoying but what I have feared since all this started finally happened last week. I was in Arizona at the house of a friend whose computer was down. No wifi. My ethernet connection wouldn't work for unrelated reasons and there was no spot for internet within a half hour drive. I could not get into Photoshop or Lightroom. We finally had to drive somewhere so I could get online and sign in. I have hashed this out many, many, many times with the dysfunctional tech help department in India. They do admit the problem is not on my end. I agree since this happens with both my desktop computer and laptop. I still think that the fact that when I do sign in I am thrown to the registration page (which is properly filled out and always has been) is somehow connected to all of this. However, when I click on 'continue' I wind up back on that registration page. I have said this before on other forums and will repeat it again...this is just a precursor to what will inevitably happen to me on assignment in some third world country. Yes, I know if you don't pay, you can still use the program allegedly for three months. No, I am NOT given that choice. I am locked out. Period. As I said, it happened six times in October and then was quiet until last week when it happened again.
I am on Windows 7 home premium on both desktop and laptop. Someone on another forum suggested uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop. No, I will not go through that. The problem is not on my end, as proven by the fact that it's happening on more than one computer.

wow, all of what you said is so way above my pay grade. I honestly don't understand any of it. Since it's happening on two computers, I don't think uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop is the solution. I'm not sure what you mean about the 'phoning home' aspect unless you are saying Adobe is 'checking' more than it should. What's so annoying is being told my 'trial version' has expired. But I have never downloaded a trial version of any Adobe product at any time because I had heard there were problems down the line. I am hoping Steve G can help me with this. I am still sure (as with the regeneration issue) the problem is on their end. And, oddly, the regeneration seems to have been 'fixed' by me buying a new camera, the Canon 70D. Go figure.

Kicking off a workflow via Event

Hi. How do you kick off a workflow via Event? I created a simple workflow with start--assign--stop. I created an event and subscription but when i raise it nothing happens.
the workflow though runs when i use the launch process. What am i missing? I read an article that says the start node should be a receive event, but i couldnt find that in the owb workflow builder.

I think you could start your WF by setting the viewOptions.process attribute to your WF name, in the User Form you are using. When the WF is finished, control returns to the Form.
For instance.

Kick off a business process with JMS message

I'm a newbie with a job that's way over my head and I'm thouroughly confused on
the logic involved with kicking off a business process (workflow) through the
reciept of a JMS message. The docs say it can be done. I have a business process
in one project folder of an enterprise app, its start node is a channel subscription.
Can I somehow send a JMS message directly to the business process? (Send a message
NOT from within the weblogic environment, but from outside) I have created a
Message Driven bean in a seperate project folder of the same application as the
business process. From an outside client, I think I might need to invoke the
MDB with a JMS message, then call the business process from there. Is this totally
off-base? What do event generators have to do with any of this?

Yes, you use the event generator.
Open up the Weblogic Integration console, click on Event Generators.
Add a JMS Event generator that listens to the queue you are interested
in, and then select the channel that your process has subscribed to.

It sounds like your iPad is closing your apps without notice. I would start by closing all the running apps on the iPad first:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that and restart the phone and test the issue again:

Our users are being kicked off from the system once after 8 years. exatly at the end of 8 hours time, they could be doing something, nevertheless they get kicked off.

Hi , This parameter is not the correct parameter because we have this parameters value as 2700 secods which means its on 45 seconds.
I guess this parameter is only to control session.
What i am looking for is a parameter that controls your login, despite of being active continuously.

One day I turned my laptop on and it connected no problem. Now it has kicked me off again. I tried resetting my IP address but that does not work either! Has anyone had this problem?

Try this:
Apple menu / System Preferences / Network.
Click Location: and select Edit Locations..
Click + (plus sign), and enter a name for the new location - anything will do.
Apply this.

How do I get my ipod back on the school wifi after being kicked off?

My school has password locked wifi, which every student knows the password to. Every so often, they kick people's iPod's off the wifi and it won't ever connect. Not during school, not football games or basketball games, not ever again. It really ticks me off because my iPod was kicked off today. I don't get on a lot during school but I do tweet and facebook during ball games. Is there a way to override/avoid the block? Could I maybe reset the iPod or the network settings? Wifi: my Cell phone will remember 10 wifi connections. So delete any you don't use often and your home wifi and try to enter home wifi again.
if it still won't connect to home wifi, call your internet provider for help. You may need a newer router or different settings Or upgraded service. Your phone seeks the best connection and will refuse lesser connections.
last resort. Backup the phone. Do a full reset, then restore as new with the backup.
if still not fixed, go back to apple and insist on repair or replacement.
HOWEVER. voicemail is not a wifi issue, it's a carrier function, which is why the SIM card is a suspect.

Payables Transfer to General Ledger does not kick off Journal Import

Hello,
This is on 11.5.10.2.
We have some invoice batches that are not posted in GL. This problem is sporadic and only happens for some batches and not all. It is unclear to why some batches are posted fine and others are not.
The problem is at payable trasnfer to General Ledger program. After these batches are validated and create accounting has been executed successfully, we submit Payables Trsnfer to General Ledger program.
This program does not kick of Journal Import child process for these batches. It just completes normally without showing any error detail on log/output.
What could be the reason? Why Payables Transfer to General Ledger is not kicking off Journal Import for these batches?
I have even verified GL_INTERFACE and there is nothing there.
Please advise.

Auto-kick off MaxL script after Oracle GL data load?

Hi guys, this question will involve 2 different modules: Hyperion and Oracle GL.
My client has their accounting department updating Oracle GL on a daily basis. My end-user client would like to write a script to automatically kick off the existing MaxL script which is for our daily data load in Hyperion. Currently, the MaxL script is manually executed.
What's the best approach to build a connection for both modules to communicate with each other? Can we use a timer to trigger the run? If so, how?

#2 As Daniel pointed out you can use Windows scheduler.
For every successful GL load add a file to a folder which is accessible for your Essbase task.
COPY Nul C:\Hyperion\Scripts\Trigger\GL_Load_Finished.txt
Create another bat file which is scheduled to run on every 5 or 10 mins (this should start just after your GL Load scheduled task)
