Continue film after fading to white

I'm making a relatively long movie and I start with an intro. At the end of the intro I use the fade to white transition. Obviously, after the intro I want to continue the movie but when I add a fragment the fade to white - transition goes away automatically. How do I stop this from happening and continue the film after fading to white?
Thanks

Hi groanpa,
Please reply us with the snapshot of the LCD screen so that we can check and assist you further.
Also, we will have to perform the ‘LCD BIST’ (Built in Self-test) on the computer. Please follow the steps mentioned below to run the “LCD BIST’.
Turn of the computer.
Press and hold down the ‘D’ key on the keyboard and press the Power button.
You will see different colors on the LCD screen. Please check if the issue reoccurs on the screen.
In addition, please connect the system to an external monitor and check if the issue reoccurs.

  • MacBook Pro 13 Inch, Mid 2009, Screen Fading to White/Purple

Recently my MacBook Pro 13 Inch screen started having problems. At first the right, bottom corner of my screen started flickering and have small, white, lines that would flicker and simply go away after I adjusted the screen a little. Then the whole screen would spontaneously start fading to white/purple. It happened once or twice a week the first time, but now it's happening repeatedly, over 5 times a day. It's gotten to the point where I can't seem to make the fading go away by moving my screen, only by completely closing my MacBook then opening it up again.
The screen usually starts fading when I move the screen back or open my Mac. When the screen goes white/purple, everything else works, the audio, mouse, keyboard.
This isn't my mac or my video but it looks like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6MhluTYfYw
I did a little bit of Google-ing and reading the Apple Discussion forums and found that this is a pretty common problem. Some people say that it's a loose cable, or a pinched cable, or the screen itself, but I'm not sure on what it is, all I know is I want to get it fixed.
    My questions:
    - Is there anything I can do to fix it?
    - How much will it cost to get it repaired? (My warranty ran out)
    - Where's the best place to get it repaired?
    Thanks,
    Josh

Same problem mate and also out of warranty. Took it to the Apple Store, they had a quick look at it in front of me and told me it needs a new display. Quick job for them but it costs £280. Definitely seems like a loose connection to me, due to excessive opening and closing. I'm quite reluctant to open it up myself but after seeing a few videos on youtube, I think I might give it a go and see if I can fix it myself.
I wouldn't trust anybody else than Apple to fix it if only it wasn't so expensive.
Let me know if you find any other way.
    Thanks

  • Why was my screen fading to white?

So I got my MacBook two years ago. After about a year, my screen started slowly fading to white and acted slow out of nowhere. The recent times I used it, my screen no longer turned white but it was still so slow. I went ot the Genius Bar recently (which is absolutely great!) and the one who helped me said that I had an anti-virus program, Symnatec that slowed down my programs because it checked if there was a virus in everything I did. He deleted the app for me and he suggested I upgraded to Mac OS X Mountain Lion but my RAM was at the bare minimum of 2GB. So I went to a computer place in the city where they could add more. I upgraded to a 3GB RAM and upgraded to Mac OS X Mountain Lion. My quesstion is, why did my screen fade to white but then stop out of nowhere? Will it happen again? Please let me know ASAP! Thank you!

I was just scrolling through my apps when the screen suddenly froze. A force shutdown didn't work and when I pressed the silent on/off button, there was no vibration either. The frozen screen faded to white with a few lines and about 10 minutes later, the edges started to turn black, forming a ring which got larger till about 4 hours later, the screen turned completely black. I tried connecting to iTunes but it wasn't detecting the phone and I can't do anything with it now... When it turned completely black, I charged it and after a while, the low batt screen came on but it was fuzzy and flickering with the white ring... What to do know ???????

Restart your computer while holding down left mouse key. That will eject the CD and your Mac will start as normal.

  • Fix for continuous reboot after installing Service Pack 3 in Windows XP

After contacting HP Technical Support and speaking to a supervisor we were able to solve the problem of Windows continuously rebooting after installing SP3. Here are the steps that fixed the problem with my HP Pavilion running on an AMD processor. The steps are actually fairly straight forward and easy....
Issue: The computer reboots continuously after installing Windows XP service pack 3
Computer reboots continuously after installing Windows XP service pack 3 on AMD systems. The problem is that with some configurations, SP3 causes the computer to crash during boot, and Windows XP, by default, is set up to automatically reboot when it crashes. That is why you end up in the endless rebooting scenario.
    Cause:
On HP computers, the same Windows installation disc image for Intel processor based PC's is deployed for the AMD processor based computers as well. Because the original installation image for both Intel and AMD is the same, all have the intelppm.sys driver installed and running. That driver provides power management on Intel-based computers. On an AMD-based computer, amdk8.sys provides the same functionality for power management.
    Symptoms:
Ordinarily, having intelppm.sys running on an AMD-based computer appears to cause no problems. However, on the first reboot after a Service Pack 3 installation, it causes a big problem. The computer either fails to boot, or crashes with a STOP error code of 0x0000007e.
You may not see the error code because the computer reboots too fast. In order to get the error message, you need to set an option during startup. To do so, open the windows advanced menu by tapping the f8 key on startup. Then select the "Disable automatic restart on system failure" option.
    Solution:
If you have an AMD-based computer, however, you do not need the intelppm.sys driver and can disable it. There are three methods in order to do this.
Step 1: Please try to log on the system in safe mode.
    1. While using Safe mode open the command prompt....  Start, All Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt
Run the following command in the command prompt just like it's typed: sc config intelppm start= disabled
    Step 2:
If the issue persists, please try to log on or boot the system in recovery console (refer to the web document)
    2. Using recovery console:
If you booted into the recovery console, from a command prompt, type: disable intelppm
Step 3: Please check in registry.
    3. Using windows registry:
    1. Run regedit
    2. Click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    3. From the File menu, select "Load hive"
    4. Navigate to %systemdriver%\Windows\System32\Config on the dead system and select the file name System
    5. Name it something you can remember, such as "horked"
    6. Navigate to horked\ControlSet001\Services\IntelPPM
    7. Double click the Start value and set it to 4
    8. If you did what I did and completely messed things up by running a disk check previously, navigate to ControlSet001\Control\SessionManager. Open the BootExecute value and clear out the autochk entries.
    9. Repeat steps 6-8 for the other control sets.
    10. Reboot

For future reference: Service pack 3 Installation steps:
Before installing the service pack 3 update, please follow the steps listed above and save yourself much time and effort.
To uninstall service pack 3, I suggest that you uninstall it from add/remove programs.
    Step 1:
Uninstall service pack 3 from add/remove programs:
    1. Click Start.
    2. Select Run.
    3. Type appwiz.cpl in the run field.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click change or remove programs.
    6. Select the program -service pack 3 that you want to uninstall or remove.
    7. Click Remove button.
    8. It will pop up the message stating that "Are you sure you want to remove the programs".
    9. Click Yes. It will help you to remove or uninstall the installed programs from add and remove programs.
Step 2: If the issue persists, I suggest you to perform system restore and then try to install the service pack 3 after performing the steps mentioned above in regards to removing the intelppm.sys Driver.

I hope this helps someone who is having this problem. It sure took me a minute to get it all figured out. :0)

Still useful as of 12/30/11. Have ten Lenovo 5042 computers with downgrade licenses to run XP and have a ghosted image from another Lenovo 5042 having and Intel cpu. My target computers all have AMD cpus in them and the image would continuously reboot on
    the AMD computers.
Used method 1 and it cleared the problem instantly, many thanks for the post and the time and effort it took to dig up the answer..

  • Will my bootcamp continue functioning after upgrading to Mavericks?

    Hello, everybody!
I have an early 2011 13-inch MacBook Pro running Lion and I consider upgrading to Mavericks. The "problem" is that I also have Windows installed on the computer via Bootcamp and I would like to know if this is supposed to continue working after the upgrade. My current Bootcamp version is 4.0.1. and I have Windows 7-32bit.
    Thank you in advance

Yes, it is. Back up everything first in case a problem occurs.

  • Database adapter to continue polling after hitting exception

I am using BPEL 10.1.3.5. Using Database adapter "LogicalDeletePollingStrategy".
On hitting the exception in one of the records the adapter stops polling/processing other records for that transaction.
Ideally it is expected to continue processing other records.
I believe in 11g there is a JCA property Undying that makes the adapter to continue processing after hitting an exception. How is it in 10g to get this.
    Thanks,

There is no rejection handler been configured and I am not sure if its a better way to configure rejection handler for Database failed records to file.
As in 10g, the DB adapter stops after hitting exception for that transaction.

  • Start process from JSP which continues running after response is completed

Is it possible to start a process from within JSP which can continue running after the HTTP response is complete, so the response doesn't time out??

Your question is a little vague. If I am understanding your question correctly, it sounds like you are starting a process in JSP that takes a long time, and the browser is timing out. If this is your question, then here is my response:
We've had this situation before. Often times it occurs because the JSP page launches a long database operation that could take an hour. You have a few choices, but one good approach is this (any variation of this works too):
    1. When the page loads and you need the process to start, create a new thread and have the long operation run from this thread. You can put the thread object into a session variable and store it for later use.
    2. Have the JSP code output a META-REFRESH tag on the page so that the page refreshes every 30 seconds or so.
    3. On each refresh, you get the thread object from the session context and check it to see if it is done or still running. If it is, then just output another META-REFRESH and the page will keep refreshing itself. If it is done, you can, of course, output a "finished" message to the user.
You can also have a stop button on the page that you can use to send a message to the thread to stop.
Hope that gives you some ideas!
    Michael

  • Question about screen fading to white?

let me first say that my experience with the apple support staff has been great.
I took my PB for repair due to a problem with freezing and panic alerts. In addition, sometimes when it freezes, the screen slowly starts fading to white. You can still somewhat see the image (i.e. the background or application), but it's almost as if it's become a "negative" image, just like the negatives you get when you get pictures developed... exept extremely bright white instead of dark brown..
    I hope this makes sence...
anyway, The first time I took it in, they replaced the harddrive, case (bottom part was warped), and cords/bus something or other connected to the logic board.
I'm still waiting for them to complete the repair, but the local genius thinks it might be something wrong with the logic board itself..
I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this problem before...

    Hi Spencer,
Sounds like it could possibly be a hardware (ie. logicboard or video) issue. Since you've already sent it in for service it's probably best to wait and see what the technician(s) find rather then engage in idle speculation, like I just did. Anyways, good luck.

  • Do I have to delete films after the rental period manually?

Do I have to delete films after the rental period manually or does iTunes cleans my HDD automatically? If I will have to erase any file manually please tell me where to find them, please.

After the rental period has expired, iTunes will delete the movie as soon as you open up iTunes.

  • ITunes 9.2 Causing Continual Reset after 5 minutes of Sync

iTunes 9.2 causing continual reset after 5 minutes of syncing. This never happened with earlier versions. The iPhone basically reboots and takes a very long time to execute that reboot.

I am having the same issue, itunes is 'stuck' syncing with my Apple TV for hours and hours, no new content is viewable or playable, yet the previously synced items are still available, as well as my music library and photos.
I've tried rebooting the Apple TV, as well as my Mac, the network is working just great in all other aspects. (airport extreme base station router)
It seems that every time I update to the latest Apple software, I experience problems.
Updated to the latest Safari and my entire network went completely 'screwy' for days then just magically started working fine again. (this happened last time Apple released a new version of Safari)
Now I have the latest itunes, and suddenly this strange sync problem with my Apple TV.
Very frustrating, and equally mysterious how these problems just seem to 'fix themselves' after a few days (sometimes weeks) after updating Apple software.

  • My Facebook is continue crashing after 5 seconds. On Ipad and iPhone. Who has got a answer??

My Facebookapp is continue crashing after 5 seconds on Ipad en iPhone

Don't use it. The app has been a buggy mess for months. I access facebook via safari.
Or look for a third party app that works.
THe burden is on facebook to make an app that works, not on Apple to fix facebook's issues.

  • HT4060 will iPad continue charging after shut down ?

Wish Apple will allowed the iPad continue charging after device shut down to reduce damage on the battery.

There is no possibility of damage to the battery.  The charge current is automatically adjusted based on the battery's charge level.  When the battery is fully charged, charging stops.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad.  Admittedly the labeling is hard to read but, if you use a magnifier and squint your eyes, you'll see "Output 5.1V, 2.1A."  The symbol between volts and amps is the symbol for DC.  Do NOT use an iPhone charger.  Do NOT use an iPod charger.
    According to Apple:
    Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge.
