Continue impdp after system rebooted

Hi,
i'm trying to import a database on a local system. i need to do it on a normal system because i have no servers available and i only have to do some "tests".
it started the import with this command:
impdp SYSTEM/****** directory=impdp dumpfile=ccrexpdp.dmp logfile=implog.log full=y
Windows was so friendly to do a reboot because of updates. thanks microsoft.
is there a poosibility to continue the import? it is not possible to restart it with the same command :(
i also tried to find something via the search but i wasnt successful.
can you help me?

The START_JOB command restarts the job to which you are currently attached (the job cannot be currently executing). The job is restarted with no data loss or corruption after an unexpected failure* or after you issue a STOP_JOB command, provided the dump file set and master table remain undisturbed.*

You shouldn't need Command + R since the Option key will present you with the Recovery boot volume. Seems something is amiss there, I'm willing to bet you may have been using a wireless keyboard.

Workgroup setting won't stay after system reboot

Even though this issue was reported in 10.7, the issue still remains in 10.8.
Background:
I have a home network consisting of a iMac (2011) and two Windows 7 PCS connected to a Netgear Gigabit switch. I on occasion transfer files to and from my Mac and my Windows PCs.
Pre OSX Lion, This situation worked fine. But since Lion and now Mountain Lion I am no longer able to copy files to my Mac from my Windows Pcs. Copying files from my Mac to my Windows Pcs work fine. In troubleshooting this issue, I found out in the Network system preference option after selecting ethernet and then the advanced button, then clicking on the Wins tab, that the Netbois and Workgroup fields are blank. After providing a Netbois name and the workgroup name the same as the Windows Pcs, then selecting the OK button generally works. Sometimes I have to go in multiple times before it takes the information but once it does everything works as it suppose until I reboot or shutdown and startup. If I do either when I go back into the Network in the System Preferences the fields are blank again.
I've followed some of the suggestions from the other support documents but they did not work for me:
1. Deleting the com.apple.systemperference.plist file and .lockfile
2. Create a duplicate ethernet service add the necessary changes then make that ethernet service the active one after disabling the original one.
None of these worked. I submitted on Apple Feedback this issue when I was still running OSX 10.7.2 but it never was fixed and now Mountain Lion behaves the same way. I will be submitting once again in hopes someone at Apple pays attention.
It seems this issue has to do with the Apple inhouse developed SMB share implementation. When they was using the SAMBA software I had no issues.
I even did a clean install of Mountain Lion to make sure the problem would not be transferred from Lion. Didn't make a difference.
Any help would be appreciated.

That work around is great. A lot easier that typing in the info repeated before it takes just to have to do it again after the next reboot. If anyone has access to the Apple Bug Reporter, please add this bug for all of our sakes.
Two things.
1. After the initial ML install, the word workgroup was in the workgroup field. And that did not disappear after each reboot. Only when changing it to something else is when the problem manifests.
2. I wonder if the Macbook Air and The new Retina Macbook Pro has this same issue being that they too come with SSD styled storage. If anyone have these macs please reply with your findings.

MS-SQL Template is getting assigned automatically after System Reboot.

Greetings, We have currently unassigned templates for MS-SQL Servers in Solution Manager Technical Monitoring for all technical systems as we don't want to monitor the DB Alerts. However, What we see is that after every OS reboot or DB Connectivity failure, for few technical systems the MS-SQL template is getting assigned automatically. If not assigned, it will start referring to SAP original template for metrics. I was unable to find any SAP note to fix this issue. Is there anything we could do to stop this? I tested and noticed that the following registry key will be changed when modify paging file size:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
value name:PagingFiles
Please change the paging file size again and check if the key is edited correctly. Reboot and see if the value is changed back to empty.
If issue still exists, please let us know if there is any third party app installed on server such as antivirus program, disk management program etc. I saw similar issues caused by third party application.

Server File shares stop working after system reboot (10.10 / 4.0.3)

I have a mac mini running OS X Server 4.0.3. I use it as a file server on my local network and remotely for when I'm at the office, it backups my and my wife's systems and I use the VPN for when I’m in places in the world where certain networks are blocked. It all worked like a charm back on 10.9 but now on 10.10 things get a little frustrating.
I did a clean install of Yosemite 10.10 and Server 4.0.3. Setup access over internet (server.mydomain.com, local ip bound to its dns). DNS in Server running. Setup Open Directory with a few network users. Created shares for different folders on a thunderbolt disk and all was good using files from both my local network as from my office. Did a reboot of the Server and now when I try to connect (using ‘connect to Server’) the list of shares pops up but when I select a folder it gives me ‘There was a problem connecting to the server “server.mydomain.com”. Check if the server name or IP address, and then try to again. If you continue…’. I have no clue what to do since nothing has changed from a name or IP perspective. Side note: in Yosemite I could only connect to the server using ‘connect to server’ never from the sidebar which worked in my previous Mavericks setup. I removed / deinstalled Server 4.0.3 and did a clean setup of server, got everything working, reboot > broken.
I hope you can shed some light on this situation and help me get it up and running again.

Edit: VPN, TimeMachine and VNC are all working like they should.

In the AFP access log it shows a login with immediate logout and error -5023 0 0. (No AFPLogin call has successfully been made for this session)..

Can't start emctl after system reboot

I installed 11g on Redhat E 5 last week. After instellation i use sqlplus and dbcounsole It work fine.

sqlplus is working fine but EM is not accessable.

Can you please send us the status of the following commands
ps -efd | grep oracle
emctl status dbconsole
Please note also
Ensure that you start your services in the proper order:
- establish IP address on the active node
- start the TNS listener
- start the database
- start dbconsole
- test functionality
In case of failure…
- Establish IP on failover box
- start TNS listener lsnrctl start
- start the database dbstart
- start dbconsole emctl start dbconsole
- test functionality
If you want to manually stop or shutdown a service:
Stop the application
Stop DB Control emctl stop dbconsole
Stop TNS listener lsnrctl stop
Stop DB dbshut
Stop IP
We have to reconfigure the dbconsole, depending on the results of the commands.
Note: For subsequent database / DBConsole installs requiring different hostnames than the physical hostname, simply set ORACLE_HOSTNAME variable to the new virtual hostname and run emca.
There is no need to re-install the RDBMS server using the new hostname value for DBConsoles running from the same ORACLE_HOME but using different virtual hostnames for different SID values.
If you would like to prevent the dbconsole from listening on all NICs of the cluster member based on the hostname and SID example in this Note, you can add host="lxdb.acme.com" in the web-site tag of http-web-site.xml present in ORACLE_HOME/oc4j/j2ee/OC4J_DBConsole_lxdb.acme.com_DBC/config directory.

Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.

Possible to continue encoding after reboot?

Using Master Collection CS5, is it possible to continue encoding with AME after a reboot (either planned, or in case of a system crash, as just happened to me)? Seems like a simple pause in AME, followed by a reboot, loses any encoding progress up to that point.

Seems like a simple pause/continue across reboots/invocations is a great (and obvious) enhancement idea.
For the majority of deliverable exports--H.264 MP4, MPEG2 DVD, WMV, for example--I don't think it would even be possible. Since these formats aren't encoded with discrete, individual frames, but rather in chunks of frames called Groups of Pictures (or GOPs), those chunks have to be encoded and written to disk in sort of a piecemeal fashion. If you stop encoding somewhere in between--or if you suffer a crash--you'd have a high degree of likelihood of being somewhere in the middle of a GOP when that happened. That GOP would be all messed up, and I don't think any encoder could recover from that. I'm not a software engineer or encoding expert, so...
Is there an official "enhancement" forum where these ideas can be submitted?

After update to IOS 7x some apps are crashing a lot & system Reboots!

After installing IOS 7.1.1 on 1 x iPhone 4 16GB, 3x iPhone 4s 64GB and 1 iPad mini 64GB, Apps started crashing which worked well on IOS 5.5 & IOS 6. After Updating to IOS 7, the problems started. Some of my favourite games like "Call Of Duty: Black Ops Zombies"and Avengers Initiative keep crashing at the start. "Call Of Duty" reported Low Memory even though I turned off Background App Refresh, Re-downloaded the Apps, performed full system reboot, enabled "Reduce Motion", enabled "Increase Contrast" and still no luck. I have also deleted many of my Apps to free up storage space but still no improvement. Other problems major problems are that the screen freezes and Apps become unresponsive requiring a full system reboot. This happens very often and also when trying to update or download Apps the system crashes and often Reboots itself. I believe the main problem is with low memory because I ran an App called "Battery Doctor" which shows that 82% of the 512MB RAM is already been used before any Apps have even been started leaving only 89MB of free RAM which is hardly enough to run decent Games on. There are many occasions when FaceTime wouldn't allow Sign In and in iTunes Apps would revert to how they were after applying changes. When adding Contacts, changes would often revert back. Also I have noticed that the iPhone sometimes would display the wrong amount of free Storage space and it would sometimes show like 5GB available and then go to 0MB available and cause crashes during downloads. Another problem I found was that when Apps start up, a white patch shows on the screen temporarily which wasn't apparent before IOS 7x. When adding contacts I noticed that with "Increase Contrast" disabled, some of the entries added did not display while typing with the keyboard and the text was greyed out making it difficult to read what you are typing. Now I wish that I had not updated to IOS 7 as suggested because it has messed up my £700 iPhones and I don't see a way of downgrading without Jailbreaking making my phones worthless. We are very very upset and disappointed because we paid so much money for the devices and have not had them long. We do not want to buy a newer device just because of the update messing up our phones. Also I do not want to try and restore from a previous backup because the last few times I've tried and it does not restore everything. It is very time consuming and I am too ill to go through all that again on each device. Also I believe the restore does not give me the choice of going back to IOS 5.5 or IOS 6. Therefore if Apple could give the opportunity to update to IOS 5.5 or IOS 6 for older devices and have a separate update for IPhone 5s which have a faster processor and double RAM (1GB) then I would be very grateful. I would also like to add the fact that IOS 7.x.x drains the battery very quickly. After reading the many complaints about IOS 7 update & my personal experience, I now regret updating and also fear that future updates may render my iPhones useless. I bought my iPhone 4s direct from Apple and paid a premium for Factory Unlocked iPhones. I think the iPhones may now be out of warranty and are very unhappy with this situation. Please, please please could you send a fix in another update!

Actually DIESEL they do force you to update. my wife has not update hers yet to ios6 and none of the apps work at full tilt anymore because they are all updated for ios 6....Apple is now making you either update(and ruin your iphone 4s) or buy the new iphone 5(which i doubt will have any of the problems people with iphone 4s are having).
Since updating my 4s i have lost signal, data has been very low at best. i can not access any apps or they open up and do not refresh. I use to have 4bars at my work and now i have 1.

I'm having a very similar issue, paired with iTunes not being able to get online.
iTunes shows up in processes and then hangs at 17,000 K or so -- sometimes it will start up, but that (if it occurs) is a delay of literal hours.
Pretty meticulously went through all the 'cannot connect' trouble shooting, and have uninstalled, restarted, and then reinstalled every piece of apple software; issue is just as firm. Starting in safe mode or admin mode don't fix it; signing in as a different user doesn't fix it.

System reboots after game starts processing 3d

Got a 970gtx gaming 4g a couple of weeks ago and it seemed as though it was fine when running on my old i7 930 and ASRock x58 extreme3 with windows 7 ultimate.
Yesterday I upgraded my motherboard and cpu to an ASRock z97 extreme6 and an i5 4690k and made the move to Windows 8.1 pro. Today I got around to doing a little bit of gaming and after about 20mins the screen went black and system rebooted. There was no dump file and no log in the event viewer beyond a kernel warning. Now whenever I boot up a game it might go through 2d loading screens fine but as soon as there are polygons to process the system is suddenly back on the bios splash screen.
I've pulled the 970 out and tested it with onboard gfx and my old 2gb 560 ti and it is fine. I haven't gotten around to swapping the MB and CPU back yet to test. Is this likely to be an old fashioned hardware incompatibility? Anything else I can do to attempt to get it working?

I know it is only software monitoring, but I noticed that when the 970 is in my 12v rail voltage drops pretty low (seen readings as low as 10.1), but when my other cards are in it stays between 11.7 and 12.2. The next step is to add the pci express power to the MB.

Workflow continue after system crash.

Dear Workflow expert,
I have customized the standard leave request workflow to a 2 level approval workflow. However, sometimes the workflow will suddenly stop without any error and I need to go to tcode SWPC (execute workflow after system crash) to continue the workflow.
Anyone can tell me in what circumstances that the workflow will fall into this category, because it like happens quite frequently.
