Continued wrong charges and unwanted renewed contr...

I am very unhappy with the way the problems I have had with my account have been dealt with.  I have had continuous promises of my account being credited for the mistakes that bt have made for charges.  The mistakes have been continuous from my first bill and taking service from BT which was over 4 years ago.  Recently i have been accidentally, again, cut off for my broadband and charged 2 x £50 charges for Bt to have the pleasure of doing this.  I have had incorrect customer service advice which has resulted in extra charges being made on my account for late payments and cut off fees, I have continuously complained about these and they have not been addressed.  I have had no call backs and my account has been left without amendments when ever I speak to customer services they say that has been done now and will show on your next bill, or pay the extra £40 or so error and it will be credited on your next bill, I am on benefits and a single disabled mother to three children, one of whom is disabled and retarded.  I have struggled to meet your demands but I have finally had enough and wish to take this complaint of my account to a higher level. I hope someone will contact me about this matter and a solution and also compensation for my time and stress which has affected my familys safety at times being without service.  i demand there be someone look into the horrendous service I have recieved and also my contract to be looked at so that I may leave BT without any charges made for release from wrongly applied contracts for my BT broadband and BT phoneline and call packages which i have been chained to without asking for them to be renewed.  I look forward to hearing from you asap

Thanks for the post and welcome to the forum.  I am so sorry to hear of all the problems that you have faced with BT.
The forum is a place whereby BT customers can help other customers with issues with BT's products and services.  It is not a direct contact channel for making complaints.
Reading through your post it is clear that you have had a really bad experience and seems to be specific to your account so I don't feel you will get an answer on the forum for this.  However in saying that I am happy to pick this up for you and help resolve this once and for all.

    Did you check the USB cable or try another one?
    Did you check the docking port for any kind of debris or lint?
    Did you already try to reset your device by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?

    If you are getting Siri when you double tap, then your home button must be sticking. Siri comes up when you hold the home button. Try tapping quickly twice. When that happens, the multi-tasking list comes up and you will see the app icon and then a thumbnail, or reduced size view of the app above it. You put your finger on that thumbnail and swipe upwards with your finger.
    For that issue, you might want to do a reset of the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. This will not affect your data.
    To be honest, your novel is a little difficult to read, and I think you put too much information in there, and a lot of it is unnecessary. Be to the point and just add information necessary to understand the issue.

    Make sure there's nothing blocking a contact in the charging port of the phone.

    If it happens again and the reset (home + power buttons) doesn't work, just let the battery drain; you'll know when the screen shuts off. Charge it back up and it should be fine. Frankly, I'm surprised this worked for you. Usually I hear people with this problem say that holding both buttons doesn't work, and they have to do the battery drain.
    If the issue is incurable next time, you have a one-year warranty from the date of purchase.

  • New iphone 6, never been dropped or water damage. suddenly does not charge with any chargers. I have the verified apple charger and it does not work, have tried 3 others and still doesnt work. phone is now dead. wont charge, whats wrong?

    I have a new iphone 6 (64 Gb) that i have had for roughly 2 weeks. Last night i plugged in my charger that came in the box with the phone and plugged it into an outlet that is not used for anything else. My phone suddenly stopped charging and gave me the message that the accessory is not supported. The box of the charger seemed hot at the time. Thinking it was a faulty cord, i borrowed a friends charger today (also the original apple charger) and it would not charge and gave me the same message. I tried three more chargers and still no charge and i got the same message every single time. My phone is now dead and will not turn on. Can someone explain what is wrong? And if i am going to need a new phone and if warranty should cover it since it was not user caused damage

    warranty will cover it. Did you try only by changing the power adapter or did you change both cable and power adapter?

  • Iphone not charging and continuously restarting when connected

    Last night I let my iphone 4 run down to 2% charge. I plugged it into the charger (china one) and it would come up with the electricity symbol, but not be charging. I then connected it to my genuine apple charger and the same thing happened. It then continuously restarted, i.e. apple screen for a few seconds, then my pincode screen for a split second, then the thinking and restarting symbol (round in a circle) before going black for a few seconds then back to the apple screen. I couldn't get it out of this loop, so I connected it to my itunes. The same reboot happened once, then it came up with an error message
    "itunes could not connect to this iphone beause an unknown error occurred (OxE8000065)"
    The next morning I unplugged and replugged the phone into the mac and a different message popped up
    "The iphone cannot be synced. An internal device error occured."
    It did the restart  again and I tried a reset (home and lock button) but it just went through the restart back to a black screen again.
    I tried it in a different USB port and possibly coincidentally, it now says on itunes
    "the phone "xx iphone" cannot be synced. The required disk cannot be found."
    Now if I press the home button, the battery image comes up with minimal red bar. It does not go through the restart loop.
    My thoughts - have I dropped it one too many times (as I had the day before) and the battery has come loose (won't charge)? If so I will pull it apart and have a look as it's 10 days out of warranty.
    Should I try a DFU or Recovery mode whilst plugged into the mac? I have a back up on icloud but still chance to lose lots of data.
    What do I try first or are there any other suggestions? And thank you for reading this long winded issue!

    I ended up going to the Apple Store and they said it's a common problem. As my phone was out of warranty I had to pay for a refurbished one, but it still works 1 year later. Better than forking out $600 for a brand new one.

  • Verizon sent me the wrong phone and now wants to charge me 149.99 to send the actual phone i ordered

    So my phone broke, so I took it to the verizon store and looked at new phones. I then went home and ordered a phone over my landline. I was told exactly how much the phone would cost. I was told I would recieve my upgrade and they would be really nice and include a credit for the mail in offer.Oh great I said I will take it! then they sent me a phone I never ordered!!!so I called them and said hey you sent me the wrong phone, and they said oh no problem we will make notes in your account and please take it to the nearest bverizon store to just exchange it for the phone you actually ordered. So I happily go to the verizon store and ten hours later i still have no phone.they refused to honor my online price in the store!they said they would be happy to give me the phone i ordered but now it would cost me 149.99 instead of the price I ordered it for. This is ILLEGAL you cannot ship the wrong item and then charge the customer 149.99 to exchange the wrong item for the proper item IT IS ILLEGAL it is called bait and switch and is the basis for a lawsuit. I have been without a phone for a week, and they are now checking the recorded phone call to verify the deal they made!what?

    You should have required them to replace the phone via mail.  The mail-order store and the brick & mortar stores are separate entities and often have different pricing and/or rebate requirements.

    What exactlyare you seeing on the iPad's screen ? If it's the iTunes icon and a cable then that means that it's gone into recovery mode - you will need to connect it to your computer's iTunes and you should be able to use that to reset it back to factory defaults and you can then restore/resync your content to it.
