Continuity only works mac to iPhone not the other way round

I have a 2011 macbook pro and iphone 5. Continuity works perfectly from my mac to iPhone 5 but not the other way round. This did work for a short time then just stopped without me changing any settings. Does anyone have any ideas?

What aspect of Continuity are you having issues with? Your 2011 MacBook Pro does not meet the requirements to use Handoff and Instant Hotspot between a Mac and iOS device. Take a look at the information in the following article to learn more about using Continuity and how to verify your settings, as well as the requirements for doing so.

If you want Bridge CS6 to open when using Photoshop CS6, you must quit Bridge CC.
Then File menu > Browse in Bridge will bring up Bridge CS6.
If Bridge CC is already open, The File > Browse in Bridge for Photoshop CS6 will use Bridge CC and Bridge CS6 will not open.

Syncing of calendar works only from icloud to iphone but not the other way round

My iphone is suddenly not syncing with icloud anymore. I sync only the Calendar (ical). From the icloud calendar to the iPhone calendar syncing is working but not the other way round. I was at a genius bar but they could not solve the problem. Apple phone support suggested nothing I haven't tried like reboot etc. Any ideas how to solve the problem?

Go to Settings>Mails, Contacts, Calendars, scroll down to Calendars section and check the Default Calendar. Must be the iCloud calendar. If you don't see this option it means that you have only the iCloud calendar in your iPhone. In that case try to turn off the Calendar from iCloud settings and turn it back on after few seconds.

Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

Very simply, I do all my entries on my iPhone. Calendars, Contacts etc.
How can I ensure that my iPhone updates my MacBookPro but not the other way around?
Some of the old email addresses in my contacts are just that, email addresses. I have updated those in my phone with phone numbers and then when I sync I get them all back.

Do you use the Address Book application on your Mac when not accessing the iPhone for the same?
If so, you can delete all contacts from the Address Book application as you can with any other data on your computer. Select the Address Book's All Group which is where all contacts are stored. You can edit each contact or you can delete each contact - with a contact selected at the menu bar go to Edit > Delete Card.
Address Book data is stored somewhere - all Address Book data on your Mac is stored in a single data file located at Home > Library > Application Support > AddressBook > AddressBook.data. If you delete contact information from the Address Book, the data is removed from this data file which is what the Address Book application accesses for this data.
Or you can delete the entire AddressBook folder with the Address Book application quit before doing so and all Address Book data will be deleted in one swoop but if you do this, all current contact information available on your iPhone will be put back in the Address Book application on your Mac during the next sync function.
I think it is faster and easier to edit all contact information in the Address Book application on your Mac and there is also a preference setting for your iPhone sync preferences to replace all contact information on the iPhone with the Address Book information on your Mac which will revert to the standard sync process for this data during the next sync.
Calendar events in iCal are stored in a separate iCal data file apart from the Address Book data file. Although integrated, these are separate applications with their own data file.

ICal won't sync from mac to iphone or the other way

I have found that my iPhone calendar is not being updated when I sync with the iMac - and it doesn't appear to work the other way either.
It used to work perfectly and I haven't changed anything.
I have made sure all the boxes for syncing calendars are checked but that has made no difference.
Any help would be appreciated.

I had my phone before my mac, now when i try to sync it tells me it will wipe my apps and put on the ones on my mac (ie none) how do i tell it I want the ones from my phone on (I have backed it up to the mac) i can not up grade to IOS 6 till it syncs by purchsed apps. Help please.

The info pane synces both ways (contacts, calendars). The rest goes computer to iPhone. To go iPhone to computer: right click the iPhone in the source list at the left hand side and select "transfer purchases".

Issues: new events show from google calendar but not the other way round

Entries in my Google Calendar have now synced in iOS Calendar (and weekcal which I use instead of iOS Cal) - however, none of my existing entries in my iOS Cal have synced with Google Cal.
Here are the issues:
A recurring event created by someone else and me invited showed in iOS when I set this up
None of my events from iOS show in Google Calendar
New events I create in Google Calendar do not show in iOS
New events I create in iOS don't show in Google Calendar
To test, I deleted the recurring event which was the only one showing on iOS - immediately it was also deleted on iOS which indicates it is set-up to sync betweeb Google and iOS
Cannot find any information on help pages about this.

I'm not sure what else to suggest. As the Nokia 5800 is not natively supported by iSync you must be using an iSync Plugin, so I'd advise contacting the author of the plugin - it may be buggy and need fixing.

Isync transfers data to Ical from Nokia 5800, but not the other way round

When I sync my Nokia 5800 using Isync, diary entries from my phone are moved onto my Mac, but entries made on my Mac are not transferred to my phone. This leaves my phone calendar without any entries. Am I doing something wrong here, or is this a bug? Does anyone know how to transfer this data back into my phone? My contacts swap both ways no problem. I have installed the Nokia 5800 app. Many thanks.

I need some advice on AZURE and AD.
I have 160 users on O365 (abc.com), I have multiple sites that are in local WORKGROUPS and use Outlook to manage their emails.
I also have one office of 250 users on-premise AD2003 using in a domain abc.co.uk
I want to migrate abc.co.uk to abc.com; but i dont have any on-promise abc.com AD servers.
Will it be possible for 400 user to authenticate at Azure or do i need to install local AD servers to sync with Azure AD?
I believe i need to install an Azure virtual server in the Azure Virtual network to add the virtual servers to for SSO.
Any advice would be helpful.

It's a work computer so I wanted to save them to my iTunes so I can access from another computer. Should I go to a home computer and just Import for best results? If so how do I do this? Also, why would I be synched with another library and how do I find out what this is? Very new/green user here

The devices are not designed for transfer of that kind. Use Photo Stream as suggested by another poster, or transfer photos to your computer (a good idea anyway since they will be lost if your device needs to be reset), then use iTunes to sync them to the other devices.
