Continuos push

i've been set a replication environment with 2 master site in Oracle 8.1.7.
The environment consist of one master group with some tables.
The scheduled_push is set to an interval of 1 second and delay_seconds of 0.
With the following settings of init.ora the environment is working well, propagating transaction not exceding 1 sec.
init.ora
AQ_TM_PROCESS = 1
JOB_QUEUE_PROCESS = 1
JOB_QUEUE_INTERVAL = 1
This configuration "force" a job starting every second, and this cause significant overhead in term of resource.
I've read in "Oracle 8i Replication" about a continuos push obtenible setting the DELAY_SECONDS greather than INTERVAL and PARALLELISM = 1 or greather.
This cause the job remain active for the entire period of time espressed in DELAY_SECONDS.
I've try to test this configuration but it doesnt work.
It seems to be setting other parameters in init.ora.
Does someone have experience with this kind of problem or continuos pushing?

The first question I would have is, 'Why do you need continuous push?' If the requirements are such that a continuous stream of data is required, get rid of replication and rewrite the application to apply changes to both sites. The reason that Oracle does not do continuous push is the enormous overhead of cpu, disk and network I/O required. I would definitely revisit the requirements document and talk with the customer again, about the expectations of your system.

Is it possible to send messages from back end to Mobile users using the push alert ? Is this feasible? We need to alert users of an up coming master data mass changes so they will have to synchronize there work before that particular date.

Hi,
There is PushAlert with MAM 3.0 using which your alert users to synchronize.
Here are some of the details which might help you to know better abt it.
1. Alerts are sent from the middleware to the client as a eMail. (Every Mobile number has a corresponding email id as " <mobile_number>@<Serviceprovider-Domain>"
2. This email is delivered as SMS to the mobile phones.
3. Push Alert could be very useful if the users (MI Client) have a Windows Mobile Phone edition device.
4. Incase your requirement is to send alerts to a saperate mobile phone, then the alerts that are received on the phone would be less readable.
for Ex. "Alert ID: ##00263##20MAM12345678900 This is a test for alerts - by email##"
this could be your alert message.
5. if you have a phone edition device on which the MAM is running the the Alert gets decoded and you also would have the possibility of replying to the same in positive or negative ("Accept"/"Reject").

Problem push and hold on a Surface Pro tablet's touch screen

I tried posting this before, but I can't find my origional post so I hope I'm not spamming accidentally.
I have a problem with my program on a Windows 8.1 Surface Pro tablet. I programmed a button to be 'push-and-hold', but when I touch the tablet nothing happens until I release my finger. This briefly controls the button. When I connect a USB mouse to the tablet, it responds normally; when I press the left mouse button: the button in my program goes down until I release the mouse button. I tried about every setting in the Touch section of the Windows control panel without any succes.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IPhone mail app stopped pushing mail

I am having the same problem with all 3 of my mail accounts including my mac mail and gmail. I've tried all of the fixes, resetting the accounts, restarting the phone, etc.. but as of four days ago, it simply stopped pushing email in or out. It looks like it's trying with the spinning wheel at the bottom, but the wheel doesn't appear at the top of the screen so I know it's actually accessing the server. I can still access the Internet and such, so it's not a connection problem.
Please advise.

Try locating and deleting these two preference/plist files:
~(yourUserName)/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
~(yourUserName)/Library/Preferences/com.apple.LaunchServices.plist

this update is really starting to annoy me now.
everytime i go on texts/whatsapp/kik/ anything it tells me to connect my phone to itunes to use push notifications.. so i connected to itunes and got load of songs i didnt want on my phone and no push notifications.
i have no idea how to delete the songs cause swiping accross doesnt work and clicking it just makes it play.. so help ??
and how do i get my push notifications to work?! its driving me crazy

Can I use icloud as a storage for photos from my PC without pushing all of them to my iphone?

I thought the cloud could be a backup to my PC (files, pics, itunes...) that I could access from my iphone. If my pics are pushed to my phone, my memory will be more than maxed out. Same with itunes. I would like to switch the tunes on my phone sometimes.

iCloud isn't like our old iDisk. It's more about connecting muliple devices to the same shared data.

Push Notifications to APNS Fail 50% of the Time

Sending a notification to an iOS device fails half the time with this error:
The Push Notification System returned an Internal Server Error
Here is my setup:
Free Trial version of Azure
Sandbox certificates uploaded to a Mobile Service/Notification Hub
App developed with PhoneGap and built using Adobe's PhoneGap Build service
Using the com.microsoft.azure-mobile-services Cordova plugin
I am able to use either the DEBUG page on the Azure site, Visual Studio 2013 (Server Explorer -> Azure), or the ServiceBusExplorer open source program to send test JSON messages to Apple. It works, half the time, and the other half of the time I
receive the error above.
Steps to reproduce:
Open Visual Studio --> Server Explorer --> Azure. It points to my trial account.
Context-click on my Notification Hub a pick "Diagnose"
Under Device Registrations, I delete any registrations I've previously accumulated. There are now no device registrations.
Delete and re-install the test app on the iPhone (iOS 8)
Launch the test app. A new registration appears in the notification hub. The type is "Native." (I've also had problems with "Template.")
Go to the Test Send tab; Recipient: Broadcast; Message Type: Apple (Default)
I am using the default, sample notification (but I get similar outcomes with other JSON messages):

Hit "Send"; It fails. Under "Message Result:," for my single registration I have this error message: "The Push Notification System returned an Internal Server Error"

with the same Internal Server Error that it did the first time.

Overall it is working about half the time. In the example above, it worked every-other time, but this is not always the case--it can succeed multiple times in a row or fail multiple times in a row. I'm not changing the JSON at all between
the above test messages. Even if I vary the JSON, I get the same outcome. I get similar outcomes regardless of whether I do the testing through Visual Studio (above), the Azure portal (the DEBUG tab), or through the ServiceBusExplorer program.
What is causing this? How do I troubleshoot this?

I don't have an answer for you, but I wanted to chime in because I am having problems as well. I get the same "The Push Notification System returned an Internal Server Error" message trying to send a test push via either the Debug tab in the manage.windowsazure.com
console or in Visual Studio.
I have been focused on troubleshooting this problem since yesterday (Saturday February 21) but I believe it has been happening quite a bit longer.
At one point I was able to get some notifications through after clearing all the registrations, but now it is failing again. I have had the same certificate since last April (2014) and it has worked fine, so I know the certificate setup is good.
More data points:
using the SimplePush PHP script from
raywenderlich.com with the same certificate, the notifications go through immediately.
Normally we send notifications from our Mobile Service using the Javascript backend, and it gets a "success" response from the Notification Hub even when it fails, e.g.

U can use the combination of fornt slash(/) and back slash(\) to fulfil ur requirement.
For ascending u can use /\ and for descending u can use \/. Does this solve the purpose?

Pushing a request from PSA..but says.."Request is already updated in cube". I have deleted before scheduling from psa...i could see the request in yellow/not yet completed list.
I am couldnt find the request in the cube...but while pushing from psa it says"request already updated".

How can i push the data from a J2EE-system to the SLD that is connected/configured in the NWA (Destinations) ?
In older versions of NWA there's being a 'collect and send'-button...

The SLD_DataSupplier and SLD_Client destinations should be set in NWA -> Configuration Management -> Security Management -> Destinations
Next under Configuration Management -> Infrastructure Management -> SLD Data Supplier Configuration. Collect and Send exists to send the data to SLD.

Unable to push user profiles to AD groups with Profile Manager since upgrade to Server v3

Since upgrading our OS X Mac server from 10.8.5 to 10.9.1, and OS X Server app to v3 (now 3.0.2) I have been unable to push or modify user profiles to AD groups (or AD users) using Profile Manager. This was working fine on OS X 10.8.5. Pushing device profiles is still working OK after the upgrade.
From what I can see from the logs on the client side and server side, it seems related to a problem with the mdm authtoken.
In the client console I can see this entry:

So I can see there is a failure to authenticate, but don't really know how to troubleshoot this further. Or maybe this is just a bug in the new server app?
I have tried to remove and re-enroll clients in Profile Manager but no joy there.
In the client's Keychain I can see an MDM user AuthToken linked to the correct user account.

I just wanted to update my post, as this issue for me is resolved.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the Server.app on our Mac server, since then I've been able to push profiles to AD Users and Groups. I guess that in my case the Server app got into a bit of a mess when it was upgraded to v3.
Now the next headache I have is that my AD Groups which are displayed in Profile Manager are not syncing any recent changes. I think I'm probably seeing the same issue as described in this post

turn your ipad off by holding the sleep wake button for 5 seconds and slide to turn off then turn it back on and the apps should be finished and if the apps didnt finish just redownload them
