Continuous feed rolodex cards

Can anyone out there help me?????
I typed my entire rolodex into my Publisher software intending to print it on some continuous feed rolodex cards that I already had.  However, I seem to only be able to print one at a time.  How do I set up the printer ro recognize a continuous fed paper feed?

Hi cb121
Probably because they are Word template files.
If you have Word open and resave them as .doc files.
If you don't have Word use NeoOffice or Open Office (both are free).
Try simply renaming the extension to .doc and see if that works.

  • TRYING TO PRINT ROLODEX CARDS FROM ADDRESS BOOK

    HELP PLEASE,
    I AM TRYING TO PRINT A LIST FORM ON AVERY 5386 ROLODEX CARDS AND I SIMPLY CAN NOT CONFIGURE THE SETTING TO WORK. I CAN GE THE MAILING LABELS PRINTED BUT NOT ALL THE LIST INFO I NEED. ANY IDEAS.

    I worked on this some more and figured out how to get my files into Word and hence onto the Rolodex cards:
    *under Preferences in Address Book choose Vcard, change to 2.1 and keep Western text
    *export chosen cards to desktop from File dropdown (remember to return your Preferences Vcard setting to 3.0)
    *Open Word
    *choose open document and import Vcard file, you get a long list which you will then have to modify (I put returns for the Begin Vcard text to seperate cards), choose the lines you want printed, format text, size, etc
    *following rolodex printer card instructions you can merge your formated data and print!
    Yay, finally. Why doesn't Apple allow this simple type of programability, even labels have been a chore for me.

  • Rolodex Cards in Address Book?

    Oops... accidentally posted in OS 10.5. Posting here also.
    Realize I could be called a dinosaur -- but like to have my Rolodex (instead of bulky, messy, ink-jet printed Address Book) and being tied all the time to electronics. However, don't see an option for printing to Rolodex card paper. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this? I could make as labels, but then it doesn't let me pick what fields I want to print (only name / address).
    Thanks in advance for some help. Nancy

    Thanks so much. However, what I'd like to do is to print out on the Avery rolodex cards made for printers (full sheets). My husband has a business and single pages in an address book get REALLY messy and aren't as quick to find numbers -- and he's not into all the PDAs and such (not that into gadgets).
    I hope Apple sees this and adds a feature to print on whatever paper you choose, or to import at least into a Word Processing software or something to have the ability to print on whatever paper.
    Anyone have any other ideas?

  • Portrait on 14" width by 11" length continuous feed paper for Dot Matrix printer.

    Hello,
    I am trying to set the properties of a Report Builder 3.0 form for Portrait orientation with 14" width by 11" length continuous form.  The report will print on a high speed dot matrix printer.  My problem is when I change the report property
    to 14" width by 11" length, Report Builder 3.0 automatically changes the Orientation to Landscape!  I want it Portrait on 14"x11" paper!
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi CRC111,
    According to your description, when printing reports in dot matrix printer, it can't keep the Portrait in report property. Right?
    In Reporting Services, it supports printing in a dot matrix printer. However, the dot matrix print is quite different from regular printers. It has reported it can't accept the page layout(landscape and Portrait). In this scenario, we suggest you export
    the report into PDF/TIFF, then print it in dot matrix printer. Please refer to the links below:

  • Continuous Feed for M1005

    Want to know if  M1005 is able to print the continuous paper (one that is used by dot matrix printer)?
    So far I was only able to print A4 size paper. Please advice if continuous or A3 size can be printed on M1005

    As far as I'm aware, all LaserJet and OfficeJet printers are cut-sheet devices; they don't handle continuous stationery.
    The LaserJet M1005 specification describes paper handling:
    Paper handling input, standard
         150-sheet input tray, 10-sheet priority tray
    Paper handling output, standard
         100-sheet face-down tray
    Maximum output capacity (sheets)
         Up to 100
    Duplex printing
         Manual (driver support provided)
    Media sizes supported
         A4, A5, B5, C5, C6, DL, postcard
    Media sizes, custom
         Media input tray and priority tray: 76 x 127 to 216 x 356 mm
    Media types
         Paper (plain, laser), envelopes, transparencies, labels, cardstock, postcards

  • My 5440 deskjet continually feeds in sheets of paper, one at a time and won't print

    I have had a 5440 deskjet print which has worked well for years.This week it suddenly stopped working. When I go to print, it sucks a piece of paper in more than halfway and then says "paper jam or misfeed". If I hit the arrow key, the paper comes out with no issue, and then it sucks the next sheet in to the same point and errors again. The interesting thing is that it doesn't even try to print things at the top of the page (or anywhere).

  • Card stock in 8610

    I just bought OJ Pro 8610 to replace my OJ 6310 (which frequently came up with a flaky "carriage jam" error).
    I was disappointed to find that the 8610 does not accept card stock (index 110 lb) whereas this was no problem for the 6310.  It does not feed the card stock, and reports that paper tray is empty.  Is this by design, or do I have a flaky unit, or is there a setting for card stock somewhere?
    Thanks for any advice.

    You're welcome dickey, and thank you for getting back to me.
    If you're receiving an "Out of Paper" error, you might have to check some things with the printer and settings and even clean the rollers and it should work from then on. The link is below to the guide with all of the recommended steps to try for the out of paper error.

    If the printer will still not pick up any card stock and continues to show the error, I would then suggest calling HP Technical Support to inquire about a replacement printer. I will leave their contact details for you.

  • PXI: Continuous loops necessary?

    Hi, everyone!
    I'm currently trying to learn how to use labview RT and PXI-systems. Unfortunately I have noone here at the company to ask, so my questions are quite basic stuff. My VI's are not supposed to perform any control tasks, only sampling and analysis, so the Real-Time behaviour of RT is not necessary. My problems concern the cooperation between VI's deployed on the PXI-system and VI's on the host computer.
    1) All examples I have studied use continuous loops, either timed loops or while-loops. Is this absolutely necessary? Can I deploy a VI to the pxi-system and then call it repeatedly just like any other sub-VI in labview or does the PXI system require at least one main VI that runs continuously and which may or may not call other sub VI's?
    2) Does the main VI on the PXI-system always have to be started prior to starting the host VI? This seems rather awkward to me. Why can't you just start the host program and let labview take care of the rest..?
    3) Why are shared variables unable to handle arrays larger than 1D? How do I transfer 2D arrays of sampled data to the host computer during program operation? I saw a suggestion on this site that involved using the "reshape array" VI twice (once at the target and once at the host), but don't tell me that someone hasn't considered this obvious problem before? Is it simply so that the PXI-systems are not supposed to be used for pure sampling purposes where you acquire large amounts of data continuously at a card located in the PXI and transfer it to the host computer consequtively? According to my estimates the TCP network connection should have more than enough bandwith to handle this.
    Hope it is not too much at once. Will be thankful for any response.
    regards,
    Einar

    Apart from any language, think about a running program.
    If it wants input, it has to see if any input is available, and then read it.
    But looking for input is a very common operation. You could put all that functionality into a library and/or a runtime environment, and then let the rest of the program just get called when there's input available. You could set this up so that the programmer for this environment only writes the code that gets called, thus saving them from a lot of rote work.

  • 6233 Start Up W/O Sim Card

    I have been using my 6233 for two months now. the other day, i turned it back on and the phone said "Continue without sim card?" This is what I get every time now, even though my sim card is inserted. It is not a problem with unlocking because it would at least recognize that there is a sim card in the phone. I live in the US so it is hard to get support here. PLEASE HELP!!!

    As you say you are in the US, I wouldn't know to be honest as the 6233 isn't available officially and Nokia USA service and repair probably wouldn't attempt to repair it.
    If you bought it from an online shop other than ebay, chances are they might take it back for repair.

  • What graphics card to use? (i3, 16GB Ram)

    Hello!
    So I'm planning on upgrading my computer, since I am only moderatly pleased with the Intel onboard Graphics Card. I would also like to do it as cheap as possible (So for around 250$) I also need the card capacity to support 3 monitors.
    My current specs:
    Motherboard:      ASUS P8 LX Z77-V
    Prozessor:          Intel i3-3220T @2.80 GHz
    Memory:             16.0 Gb
    Power Supply:    500W
    OS:                    Windows 7, 64 Bit
    Storage:             2 Hard Drives
    I'm mostly running AfterEffects and Premiere CS6 (Planning on a upgrading to CC) and would like to get as much speed for it as possible.
    So I'm planning on buying an SSD to Export/Inport Footage and to store the Programm on. And now I need to find e fitting graphics card,
    At first I was thinking an Nvidia GeForce GTX 760, but a friend of mine said my Processor and Memory wouldn't be enough to feed the card the data it can take, is that true?
    He then told me that the GTX 650 would be good, but I personally aren't convinced it is good enough...
    So what would you recommend me? I'm so lost :/
    Thanks alot
    Alec

    Alec,
    If you go for that GTX 760, you'd only be throwing away good money after bad, in your instance (as cc_merchant has stated). I would only get that GPU if you're planning to upgrade the CPU and/or motherboard, as well as the amount of RAM and an additional number of disks, in the near future. If on the other hand you'll be stuck with that dual-core i3 for years to come, don't waste your money on anything higher than a 1GB GTX 650 since the i3 CPU doesn't handle the editing of any video at any resolution above 480i SD very well (I was going to say 320x240, but almost all 320x240 video is encoded in distribution codecs that are unsuitable for editing). The 2GB version of the GTX 650 is overkill for that present i3 setup, in this case, since the CPU just can't handle any content that requires more than 1GB of VRAM well.
    As for the GT 640, be aware that there are two different versions of the GT 640: Most top-tier graphics card brands still sell the original version of the GT 640, based on a GK107 GPU and using 128-bit DDR3 VRAM that has a throughput of only 28.5 GB/s. A few lesser-known graphics card brands have started to sell a newer version of the GT 640, based on a GK208 GPU and 64-bit GDDR5 VRAM that has a throughput of 40.1 GB/s. But given the relatively low clock speed of that i3-3220T and the fact that it neither has a Turbo Boost feature nor can be overclocked at all, even the original GT 640 may suffice for many uses for that PC.

  • Photosmart 5514 prints blank on card stock

    I only get a blank page when I try to print on card stock. It feeds the card and sounds like it's printing but then comes out blank.  I've changed the print settings to 5.5" x 8" and to 'matte greeting card'. It prints fine on regular paper but when I try the same thing with a card it comes out blank.  I have just changed all the print cartridges.  I have tried printing from PowerPoint, from my mail, and from a jpeg file; and all work on regular paper but come out blank on the cards.  Any suggestions? I should also mention that I'm using a MacBook Pro computer with OSX 10.7.5 and connected to my printer wirelessly through my home wi-fi network.

    Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I noticed that you cannot print on card stock with your HP Photosmart 5514 on Mac OS X 10.7, and I am happy to look into this for you!  According to your printer's specifications, this is an unsupported paper size for card stock paper. The supported sizes are as follows:  Card typeCard size3 x 5 in Index76.2 x 127 mm (3 x 5 in)4 x 6 in Index101.6 x 152 mm (4 x 6 in)5 x 8 in Index127 x 203.2 mm (5 x 8 in) You might be able to try a custom size print, and you could try this guide, Printer Prints a Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink for the HP Photosmart 5510 e-All-in-One Printer Series. But if it is printing on regular paper, then it must something wrong with the card stock paper that you are using.  Perhaps, also try taking out the paper and re-loading it might help, and maybe try flipping the paper upside down, in case the wrong side up is being loaded.  Otherwise, I would suggest to try one of the supported card sizes that I mentioned in the chart above.  Hope this information helps!  “Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.”

  • Counter Output/Counter Input PXI Signals Behaving Erratically

    Question for all your LabVIEW guru's out there,
    I am running a frequency loopback test using the NI PXI 6229 MIO DAQ card.  I am generating a "Counter Output" pulse train signal which feeds through my device under test and then back out of my device under test and back into the PXI 6229 for a "Counter Input" frequency measurement.  Both the "Counter Output" and the "Counter Input" are assigned different PFI lines using DAQmx in LabVIEW.
    I have 4 lines to test on my DUT.  All four lines run this same frequency measurement but with different PFI lines on the PXI 6229.  Each line is test independently.
    This is my setup for the 4 lines:
    Path 1: P2.0 (Counter Output - Pulse Train) -> DUT (Device Under Test) -> P2.1 (Counter Input - Frequency Measurement)
    Path 2: P2.2 (Counter Output - Pulse Train) -> DUT (Device Under Test) -> P2.3 (Counter Input - Frequency Measurement)
    Path 3: P2.4 (Counter Output - Pulse Train) -> DUT (Device Under Test) -> P2.5 (Counter Input - Frequency Measurement)
    Path 4: P2.6 (Counter Output - Pulse Train) -> DUT (Device Under Test) -> P2.7 (Counter Input - Frequency Measurement)
    where:
    P2.0 = PFI8
    P2.1 = PFI9
    P2.2 = PFI10
    P2.3 = PFI11
    P2.4 = PFI12
    P2.5 = PFI13
    P2.6 = PFI14
    P2.7 = PFI15
    I have a LabVIEW VI which generates the "Counter Output" and reads the "Counter Input" frequency.  I am seeing weird behavior from the PXI 6229 card. I can test "Path 1" and "Path 2" and the frequency I read is what I generated. No issue there. However, when I test "Path 3" and "Path 4" the frequency measurement is erratic.  The readings are two different frequencies repeated over and over again and none of those frequencies are the expected frequency which was generated out of the "Counter Output."  If I reset the card, and start by testing "Path 3" and "Path 4" the frequency readings are correct and the erratic behavior is gone.  However, when I try to then test "Path 2" and "Path 1" now those lines have the erratic frequency issue. I can continue resetting the card and see same issue. The PFI lines that I test first will always pass.
    To summarize:
    Steps Taken:
    1. Test Path 1 = SUCCESS
    2. Test Path 2 = SUCCESS
    3. Test Path 3 = Erratic Frequency (Two Frequencies repeated over and over again in my frequency results array)
    4. Test Path 4 = Erratic Frequency (Two Frequencies repeated over and over again in my frequency results array)
    5. Reset the PXI 6229 Card
    6. Test Path 3 = SUCCESS
    7. Test Path 4 = SUCCESS
    8. Test Path 3 = Erratic Frequency (Two Frequencies repeated over and over again in my frequency results array)
    9. Test Path 4 = Erratic Frequency (Two Frequencies repeated over and over again in my frequency results array)
    I am wondering if Port 2 (P2.0-P2.7) on the 6229 card has certain dependecies and this is why I am seeing issues.  I am trying to get around this issue so that I don't have to always reset the card.
    Are P2.0-P2.3 (PFI8-PFI11) and P2.4-P2.7 (PFI12-PFI15) treated differently or require different setup?  How do I resolve this issue?
    Thanks so much!

    I have a theory...
    The DAQ card follows a policy called "lazy uncommit" wherein the terminal used for the output will continue to be connected to the counter even after the task has completed (until the terminal is needed for something else).  So as you run more tests, the counter output will end up driving more lines.  This behavior should be easy enough to confirm.
    As the DAQ card drives more lines, I'd imagine this affects the actual signal.  You could scope it to check, but it sounds like either the rise/fall times are becoming longer or some extra noise is being introduced on the line.
    The readings are two different frequencies repeated over and over again and none of those frequencies are the expected frequency which was generated out of the "Counter Output."
    This implies you are picking up an extra edge during transitions--this isn't too uncommon if the signal is noisy since there is no built-in hysteresis on the DAQ card.  I would expect the measured frequencies to have periods that sum to either the full period or the semi-period of your actual signal (depending on how many duplicate edges are detected).
    Suggestions are as follows:
    To stop the DAQ card from driving multiple PFI lines, it would probably be easiest to just programmatically reset the device in between your tests (using DAQmx Reset Device).  If you can't reset the device (e.g. because you are running some other task that can't be interrupted) then you can instead configure a dummy task that uses the PFI line in question as an input.
    To stop the DAQ card from picking up multiple edges during transitions, you should configure a digital filter on the input terminals.  If you reset the device it sounds like this might not be necessary... it's up to you if you want to configure this or not.

  • Independent programming of channels?

    Hi Everyone!
    I am trying to program the two analog output channels on my DAQ card
    independently in such a fashion that when one channel is being changes
    the output value of the other continues the way it was (no glitches).
    Ideally I would like to be able to do this as a buffered operation (i.e.
    only have to feed the card every so often) but if that's not possible
    single point updates might work as well. Can anyone give me a brief
    description of the VIs I'll need and how what the important parameters are?
    I looked at the Advanced Output VIs but it appears that whenever I wish
    to change the output data for buffered writes I need to call AO Control
    with a 'clear' setting which will clear ALL channels, right?

    Hi Rudolf,
    Please Call Edit >> Preference >> Performance & Disk and
    check on "Multithread" in your VI. I have not experienced
    it with DAQ board yet, but I think what you want to do as
    described might be possible. Please try this simple way.
