Continuously Rasterize not Working

My computer is old, so I'm forced to used AE7.01. I've already lost some of you, nuts.
For those who remain, hopefully you can help a very frustrated man right now as old computer still do work with the programs written for them. I animate in Flash 5 (love the simplicity and bare-bones aspect of it).
For a current project, I have to throw my work into a 3d world created in After Effect (7.01 update) and would like it to stay vector until the final render.
Unfortunately, I'm having the following issues (see images):

Any ideas on how to fix this to maintain vector support as AE7 is said to do?

After Effects Import Vector Continuously Rasterize not working

I'm trying to import a vector into After Effects and it's not working the way I need. Yes I have Continuously Rasterize turned on. No the original Illustrator file does not have any effects on it. I've tried png, eps, psd, and ai files. Same issue.

But I can't use the huge scale vector for my project because it is too big for my comp. Can somebody help? My brain hurts.
I do realize that it looks crappy within the AE viewer, but even after I export it in HD, it still looks crappy.
Basically, I just want a nice clean final picture to look good in my comp.

When posting questions like this just a screenshot of the result is almost useless in diagnosing the problem. A better screenshot would include the Comp Window and timeline with the layer in question selected and all the changed properties revealed by pressing the U key twice. Also, since this was an imported file that is in question, if the footage item is selected in the Project panel then we can get an idea of the format, size, and other properties of the original file that may be causing problems.
You should not have to buy anything to get properly created vector files ti work perfectly in your composition. When you said zoomed in at 400%, if you meant scale factor and not scale of the layer then the behavior is normal, expected, and exactly what should be happening. Zoom Factor set to 400% means the comp window is using 16 screen pixels for every comp pixel. Zoom Factor set to 1600% means a single image pixel is displayed as a 16 X 16 block of screen pixels - so things are going to look pixelated when they are not. The only way to judge quality is to look at the composition window with the Zoom factor set to 100%. This is exactly the way Photoshop works.
Here's what I mean. A single Illustrator layer selected, scaled to 5174% and perfectly rasterized in a comp with the Zoom Factor at 100% scale. Note the layer size in the project panel. Everything we need to know to diagnose a problem.

I would do another SMC reset. If nothing changes you should take the computer in to an Apple store for a free diagnostic. You should make an appointment.

Hi all,
I have an extremely strange issue on my rMBP which has not been solved yet despite over 2 hours on the phone with Apple support, and another hour after being put through to a Senior Advisor, and several online chats.
I have a Apple Certified Refurbished Late 2013 Retina Macbook Pro, which has a 2.3Ghz i7, 16GB of RAM, 500 Flash Storage and the NVIDIA discrete graphics. It was purchased in December 2014 on the Apple Store. It is running 10.10.2.
For some reason, my computer WILL NOT register with iCloud. Messages and Facetime both would not work, my iPhone 4S which is capable of text message forwarding would not recognise it and allow me to turn it on. Handoff, Continuity and Instant Hotspot - basically any of the features to do with iCloud or connecting to another device - do not work.
Originally I believed it was just an issue with Messages and Facetime so I reinstalled the OS back to 10.10.1, but that did not solve the problem. All my Messages contacts kept on coming back as 'not registered with iMessage' and I could not turn on SMS Relay either.
I contacted Apple on Wednesday night and ended up talking to several different people, the Senior Advisor was the most helpful - really tried to help me figure out what was wrong, and to fix it - wonderful help, really was. They used screen sharing and were quite confused. They figured out as well that Handoff, Instant Hotspot, and all those other features don't work either. At this point, they made me update to 10.10.2 to see if it was an issue with the update, but to no avail.
Eventually, the SA checked my iCloud account and saw that the computer hadn't even connected to iCloud, and wasn't even showing up as one of my devices, despite the fact that I had signed into iCloud on this computer.
The SA told me that he suspected it must have been something to do with hardware, but didn't know what it could be. He said the only time he had seen this before was on a refurbished laptop when the serial number hadn't been put back on, but my serial number was there, so he said it must have been something to do with Bluetooth or Wifi.
Wireless seems to work completely fine, but there is a strange thing with Bluetooth in which within System report says that the computer is not discoverable or connectable, despite the fact that in the Menu Bar it says it is on and discoverable. It becomes discoverable and connectable once you toggle the switch in System Preferences.
I was planning to book a Genius Bar Appointment as suggested by the SA, but something strange happened today - all of a sudden, some (not all of them) of my iMessages from earlier today came through. Still no working Handoff or Facetime or Continuity, but now I am starting to wonder what is really wrong.
Despite the fact they said it was hardware (especially Bluetooth), what could explain why it (seldom) or will not register with iCloud? Can anybody shed some light on the situation and whether a Genius Bar appointment could help fix it?

Continuous play not working

I'm having trouble with my playlists. Somehow my setting have been changed so that songs will play one after the other. The boxes beside the song names are no longer checked. I started to go through and check them so the songs would play but if I continue to do that, it will take forever!
Does anyone know how to check all the song names without going through one by one?
Also as I've gone through to check the songs individually some of them are getting a little exclamation mark next to the song name (to the left). What does that mean?
IBM Thinkpad Windows XP

Following the advice of this list, I did a restore trying to make my Nano play podcasts consecutively. Now the Nano will not load my Podcasts! It says there is not enough room. The only option in a dialog is to sync songs. I never load songs, only Podcasts.
It was loading Poscasts just fine, but it would not play them consecutively.
How do I get back to where I was, loading new content. My Itunes has way more than can be loaded but most has been listened to. New is less than the amount that would fit on the 4G Nano. Before the restore, one third of the Nano was empty.
I am using iTunes 7.02. There seems to be very few controls for Podcasts. It makes it very confusing as most tabs and options have to do with songs. It is not very clear when options and tabs apply also to Podcasts.
Restore was a bad idea, but many of the Podcasts are 10 to 15 mins. long. It is a real pain trying to sit back and enjoy when you have to go find the next to listen to every few minutes. I tried making a playlist and that did not work.
I have over three years of Podcasts stored in my iTunes, why after a restore, did the Nano not just reload where it left off?
How do I get it to just load the new stuff?
How do I get it to play consecutively?

Continuous scrolling not working in Calendar month view

Scrolling does not work in Calendar month view. I have toggled System Preferences >General > Show scroll bars to "Always on." Still nothing in Calendar month view.
BUT, wait! Now every other app (except Calendar month view) now has the scroll bar "Always on" even though I toggled back to "Automatically based on...", then restarted my computer. I don't want to see the scroll bars all the time but now I can't hide them anywhere. It seems "Always on" amd "Automatically based on..." now do the same thing. Serious bug.

This is odd, but the calendar scrolling in Month view is working on my machine. It's been through various reboots - and I checked the disc (SSD) and permissions.
Seems to me that the calendar application is sensitive to the scrolling.
Also, I've been suffering from Firefox vertical scrolling stopping. The "fix" is to quit & restart Firefox. However... this scroll-crashing behaviour goes away for a few days then comes back with a vengence. Again, I've a feeling that a full reboot seems to help things.
Yet another mouse-related problem I've been having is with VMWare. These frequently interpret a single-click as a double-cliick or even triple-click. Some chatter in the VMWare forums about this too.
All of this behaviour *never* ocurred prior to the Mavericks upgrade.

Windows RT app uses the same method as IOS, and is more wiresharkable/tracable, so I am using that.

I know this is an old thread, but I was struggling with the same error for mobility, and I hope this may help others in the same situation.
On my scenario the issue was caused because the customer didn't use any reverse-proxy solution, instead the FE external website was directly published using a FortiGate box.
Given that scenario, there were 2 different certs installed on the FE server, 1 (internal RootCA) certificate was applied to the internal website, and another one issued by Godaddy was assigned to the external website manually from IIS console.
---I know this is far from a supported solution, but I was able to get it working after some investigation---
To solve the issue I use this article:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj205253.aspx it explains how to check and assign the certificates for oAuth and I used these cmdlets to specify the Godaddy cert to the "WebServiceExternal" & "OAuthTokenIssuer" websites.
After that the mobility access for internal and external users started to work as expected, I've validated it with "Lync Connectivity Analyzer" and with different mobile clients on Android, IOS and Windows Store.
Hope this information may be useful.

Ai CS6 continues to not work- additional problem with plug-ins.

These messages came up while trying to open these two files. They open after clicking OK, but the applicaion bar is completley blank and with no tools showing.

Watch Illustrator as it boots to see of if initialzing plug ins is showing, or if it acts as if shift is being held down and boots really quick (most your keys commands would not work then).
Applications >> utilities >> disk Utility >> repair Permissions.
Reset your prefs: immediately after booting Ilustrator, hold down 3 keys: shift, command, opt
Go to applications >> Illustrator 6 >> Plug ins >> Illustrator Filters (is offset path there?) if not you may have something wrong with your install and many of your plug ins may be missing. The plug ins mentioned are mostly in 3 of the folders.
Check that your plug ins don't say somehting liek size is 0k. Here is the info for my plug in.

Continue Button not working when publishing to swf

I have created a quiz in Captivate and set my pass/fail options to opening a URL on successful completion. I need to publish it in flash (swf) but the Continue button does not open the URL. It works perfectly if I publish the file in .exe format.
Here are my current settings (I've swapped my URL to the BBC website whilst testing)

CP5 - Continue action not working

I am pretty sure this was working last week and now its not. The set up is that I hide the playbar on page enter (assign-->cpCmndShowPlaybar=0), then there is a click box that suppose to show the playbar and continue after the 1st incorrect try via advance variable (continue + assign-->cpCmndShowPlaybar=1). But for some reason its showing the playbar but not continuing. I have the lastest version of flash 10.2.153... I have tried all browsers IE8, Chrome 10, FF4. no go. Any ideas?

I was just looking for a quick solution because you told you had a deadline. It is certainly not an ideal one. And I continued on the idea you had in mind: using Hide/Show playbar.
Can we get back to what you really want? Perhaps showing/hiding the playbar is not the only or the best solution. Why not use hide/show buttons? If you try to explain without referring to the CP-solution you had in mind, could find a better one. Personally I almost never use playbars in my projects, either I construct my own navigation and/or provide a TOC with navigation enabled when necessary.
On Question slides you are much more restricted. Normally the navigation is done by the buttons provided on the Question slides by default, not by the playbar. Same question: try to explain what you want to achieve, perhaps it will be possible with the default objects of the Question slides. BTW recently I blogged about a less-known widget that comes free with Captivate and that can be used on master slides and question slides. Have a look:

DL380 SmartStart Deploy Server "Continue" button not working

Howdy.
We currently have an older Proliant DL380 server that we would like to set up and use SME Server (Redhat Linux) on.
When attempting to install the software, the server comes up and says "Set to Windows 2000" and tries to boot off of the A: and C: drives.   I did recall having to use the SmartStart CD for other servers and have set up this OS on them and assumed it would require the same. I downloaded the latest version of the SmartStart software (x86 and x64), but when it's trying to load it tells me that the i686 architecture is not supported by either of those versions.
After a bit of research I found that somebody had been using v8.15 and downloaded and burnt that version to CD. It allows me to go into the SmartStart setup utility and reboot to see the RBSU and ORCA and lets me access the raid via ACU. However, when attempting to click "Continue" to progress to the installation of the operating system, nothing happens. No windows or messages appear.
Is there a different version of this tool I should be using or something that will allow me to change the boot from Windows mode to Linux mode?

Step to debug :
1. Try in another desktop, try to access the same URL where you have adobe reader 8.1 is installed.
2. Just create one sample PDF with 2/3 fields and try to hide those fields on click of checkbox throgh java script. let me know if that is working or not.
3. May be you have problem with the "ReaderRights" Please check your Adobe credentials.
Actually i have tried with WebAS versiion 7.0 SP10.
I just think there is mnor problem with ADS configuration.

Rasterize not working in AE?

When I create a "Shape Layer" I'm unable to make any changes to the layer via the rasterize. It will not let me deselect it. The sun icon is in the box next to the shy box. The reason why I'm asking for help is any shape that I add in AE is not being effected by the rasterize and shows jagged edges in text or shapes. Do I have to select something in options for this to work? I've googled for this but I've only found info talking about .Ai files. Or, is that the only way to take advantage of the rasterize?

Continuous play not working for songs transferred to another computer

I purchased a few albums via iTunes. When I changed computers and synced my iPod with the new computer I lost the continuous album play for the songs in these albums. If I play any song from any of these albums and when that song is completed play stops.
I do not have this problem with any copied/ripped CD music, just the music purchased from iTunes.
I did try setting the song option for continuous album play but to no avail.
Any ideas?

Are there check marks beside all the songs? Unchecked songs have to be clicked on individually to play them, checked songs will play one after the other. If you hold down the CRTL key and click beside any song in your list then all the check boxes can be toggled on or off: iTunes - Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows

Ios 8 continuity features not working!

so i downloaded the latest update on my iphone 5s and my ipad mini (non retina) they both use the same apple id, same phone number and also same icloud account, but non of the new handoff features or continuity features work?? my ipad wont ring or show messages. when the screen is locked i dont see any icon in the corner to pick up where i left off. i checked through the settings and i cant find anything. according to apple all you need to do is be logged in on the same icloud account. can anyone help?? i had a feeling this wasnt going to work. it probably wont for a while
