Contract fields disabled on limit POs and SC

We are on ECS SRM 7.
Trying to create a limit SC or a PO and the contract limit is greyed out. I have tried setting the IV based and GR based flags but it doesn work.
Any suggestion?

If you have local contracts (i mean, not replicated to R/3 backend), it is definitely not possible.
With existing R/3 contracts, even if you modify how your source of supply (contracts) is determined, npt sure it could be possible.
I heard new business fonctions from ECC 6 EHP5 contain features for the integration between a SRM and an ERP system (Service procurement with central contracts).

Hi,
You give the name of the connection and then click on "Browse". It will then prompt you to connect to the desired system. Log in and then select the appropriate query you want to build a dashboard on.

I need help with a 1 Page Form with scrollable text field (5000 limit characters) and printing

Hello, I have no training in using Adobe Acrobat Pro or Livecycle Designer so I need major help with a 1 page form that I am attempting to create. Basically the form will be used to nominate employees for a Job Well Done Award.
The form contains the following:
1.) The name(s) of the employees being nominated and the date of the accomplishment.
2.) In the middle of the page I have a section for a write up, limited to 5000 characters, this is were I am needing the most help. A couple of things, about this section: The font is set at 11 and I don't want it to change. The text field has multiple-line, scroll long text enabled. The text field is a certain size and can only hold so much text, then it starts to scroll, which I am ok with, I like that feature. The issue I am having is during printing. I would like to keep the text field scrollable but when I print I would like to be able to print everything in that field. Executing this is the problem, I have no clue how to do it. I was hoping for some setting within Acrobat Pro or LiveCycle to be available, but the more I read and research this, it appears that it may require java, xml, basically some coding. I don't know for sure.
3.) Below the text field I have another field for the person nominating to type their name and right next to that another field for a digital signature.
4.) And finally below those two fields I have a Submit button that is setup to start email application so the form can be emailed to the proper inbox.

With an Acrobat form the only thing you can do is export the text to
another location (like a blank field on another page) or to another file
format. With an LCD form you can expand the text box itself, but you'll
need to ask about that over at the LCD Scripting forum.

Contract Number Display in Limit PO screen

Hello All,
I have some queries on Limit Items:
1) I reference a Contract while creating a Limit Order. But the value of the Limit PO is not added to the released value in the Contract (call off). The call offs happen perfectly well when we create a normal Purchase order.
2) In purchase orders referencing a contract, at the item level of the PO, the contract number is displayed. But in case of limit POs, the contract referenced is not displayed.
Is there a way to display the contract number in Limit PO?
Any inputs and guidance will be highly appreciated.

moreover, the contract call off for limit order is not a standard functionality.
I am also trying a work around or with development. Keep you updated.

Hi Deepak,
i think in the BBPS_MON_SC_ITEM structure we can know the contract no asigned to limit item PO as in that structure the ITM_TYPE field specifices whether it is a normal Shopping cart or Limit cart. And there are many other structures which you can search via SE16.

The field is available only in the following
cases:
1. A/R credit memos not based on other documents or
2. A/R credit memos based on an A/R invoice or
3. A/R credit memos based on an A/R reserve invoice, for which items have been delivered, and
4. if non-drop-ship warehouses are used

Cannot retrieve my e-mail "browser sent request server could not understand. Size of request header field exceeds server limit"

Upgraded to Firefox 5.0.1 yesterday. No, after logging on to firefox, which takes me to my comcast page and when I try to get
my e-mail I get this message "your browser sent a request this server could not understand. Size of request header field exceeds server limit" Then it says something about "cookies" I also tried to connect to other sites and get similar messages. Just to let you know I am not a guru, and 80 years old, but I did not have this problem with the previous version. Question, why are the headers repeated? Could that be the problem???

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites (e.g. comcast) that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Enable the field in the list display and insert the new value and save it.

How to create new form fields in several columns (spreadsheet) and have them named consecutively?

Hopefully someone can help. I created a new form from an Excel spreadsheet, but the form field recognition didn't "take" well and very little of the spreadsheet translated into form fields. I need to create new fields (31) for each column (about 10) and I want the fields in each column to have a keyword from the parent column and the fields numbered consecutively. I'm really hoping I don't have to do this manually!
Next, is there a way to total the values in a column of fields (the same as the SUM function in Excel?) or does the form user have to dig out a calculator and add everything?
Can I create an email (submit) button and direct how (ie email) and by what method the form is sent?
Once the form is completed, is there a way for the user to lock it before sending it - ie a button they could press to make it no longer fillable? Or can I set the document to be a regular .pdf once it leaves the host machine?
I think that's it! Hopefully someone can help soon - this is a work project that could be potentially very time consuming if I have to create each form field manually. Thank you for any assistance!

Yes, this can be very tricky. If you don't get the exact right offset between each field, the difference will accumulate and after a while it will be completely off.
You just have to play around with it, until you get it right. Or almost right, and then adjust it manually.
Another thing I've noticed, is that when you select one field and right click for properties, you get an expanded version, as opposed to select/shift/enter for a bunch of cells only yields an abbreviated properties box - what's up with that? Is there a way to change this? For instance, I had set the properties for a column of 31 cells to be number, 1 decimal place. Halfway through my project, the lady I am doing the favor for tells me she would like 2 decimal places, requiring me to manually change each box for 62 cells! Apparently cell formatting is not an option in the abreviated properties dialogue! Is there a fix for that?
No, there isn't. Some propeties you have to set manually (or get right the first time, before copying and pasting...). There is a way to do it with a script, but it's a bit complex and requires using an undocumented method.
This next question is a bit more complicated, and may not be possible. The form I am creating is for payroll purposes, so at the moment it is generic (31 days) and the user fills in the month manually. Is it possible to get the form to recognize a month value (or create a pulldown menu with a selection of months to choose from) and limit the days accordingly? Or better yet, run a calendar function so that weekends and stat holidays are highlighted on the affected row? Kind of like what you can do with an Excel spreadsheet, which is what I designed the form in at the start (then printed to .pdf - the form field recognition did NOT work well on my spreadsheet! hence me doing every cell manually). Is this even possible, and if so, is it something I could learn to do?

If you want to do it yourself, you would have to learn a lot about both the Date object in JS and about the various date printing and scanning methods in Acrobat JS.

Quantity Contract Fields

Hello Gurus,
I would like to make certain fields to be seen in the document type MK (Contracts). When I make my configurtion changes to make certain fields required specifically the target quantity field I do not see it come up at all in transaction ME31K. I have made sure that I am making changes to the corresponding document type but nothing seems to be happening once I make the configuration changes. I think there is no posibility to disable fields in import parameter of bapi but you can select optional check box to make the field as an optional field in import parameter. Like wise you cant set range. If you want to set range than declare two variable for low and high.

Tracing an ECC/ERP/R3 field to tables in R3 and BI

Hi kind colleagues,
I am quite new to ECC/ERP/R3 and what I am trying to do is to take a field in ECC/ERP/R3 that I can see from the sapgui (ex. Value Contract from va41) and then just by looking at the field name in the gui to find
(a) the ECC/ERP/R3 table name
(b) the BI extractor details for this field (how do I know if they are standard or customized?)
(c) the BI info packages, update rules, transfer rules, info cube and ods names for this field.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi,
To find the respective object in BI to the R/3 Field you can
Goto SE16.
Give Table name as RSOSFIELDMAP
Give the R/3 field in the provided column and Execute
You will find the corresponding Infoobject to it and also the Info about in which extractor it is mapped to. Etc.........

Populating FB60 Contract Field

Is there a bapi that will allow me to create invoice and passing a value to the contract field (vertn)? I am currently using BAPI_ACC_INVOICE_RECEIPT_POST, and do not see a way to do so. Thanks

Check whether APP_USER is getting user_id that you are expecting or not. Probably you can create a dummy item and assign :APP_USER value to it (just for testing) If you have the hard-coded value of app_user in this dummy item, then I can't see any other issue.
However, try SQL query , in default section of item instead of in source section. You may also try with page compuations too.
