Contract Manager 14- Cannot start Administration Application

I followed the documentation for installing Contract management 14 on a MS SQL server and everything seems to have gone well until i got to the step "Setting up the Contract Management Environment" in the installation and configuration guide.
1.From the Windows desktop open Internet Explorer.
2.Enter the Web address for the Contract Management Administration Application as follows:
http://webservername:7001/exponline/adminlogon.jsp
where webservername is the computer name of your Contract Management Web server
When i try to get the the administration application at url http://localhost:7001/exponline/adminlogon.jsp , I just get the page cannot be displayed. In the Java Primavera Administrator i did set the web server port to be 7001. I ran a netstat and dont see localhost listening on port 7001 so im at a loss here.
Im not that familiar with this product, except for this install so any help would be appreciated.
Thank

Are you able to get a page at http://[webserver]:7001/console ?
This will indicate if WebLogic is running or not.

  • Cannot start X applications after a few days in the desktop

I've seen an issue the last month or so, that after a period of time (unsure how long really, my computer is rarly rebooted), a few days or more, I'm suddenly not allowed to start X applications anymore.
This includes both from the KDE start menu and from terminals. I only get this message:
When trying to start kwrite for instance:
Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key kwrite: cannot connect to X server :0
    Or with sudo I've seen:
    No protocol specified
kwrite: cannot connect to X server :0
This happens to all applications until I restart the X server and it's starting to get annoying to restart it every few days due to this. I checked my .Xauthority file and it is intact (I took a backup to see if it was mangled by something).
There's nothing in the kernel logs or X.org log, only messages from boot time.
I'm running testing on with the open source radeon drivers if it matters, x86_64.
Has anyone else seen something like this?

Similar issues have been solved by taking care of hostname, which may be tricker that expected https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 3#p1271493
    MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 issue: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=163644 - no solution.

  • Cannot  start BSP application from browser

    hi all
Cannot start standard BSP application TUTORIAL_1 through web browser. When i test TUTORIAL_1 , a seprate browser window opens which asks for login credientals but no contents are displayed.
i checked SICF service and they are active ,also i set parameter icm\server_port_0 and icm\host_name_full
Still i m getting a ABAP DUMP "CX_BSP_HOST_NOT_QUALIFIED" and no contents displayed in browser
Can you anyone please help me urgently?
    Regards
    Ujval

    > What do you say ?
That a little bit of work is still required here. As you write that you don't want to restart application server, and this is only a test server, let me make a suggestion.
Do <u><b>NOT</b></u> change anything on the WebAS server.
<u>Step 1:</u> Find you hosts file (on my machine it is c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) and add the following line into this file.
    1.2.3.4     myWebAS.domain.ext myWebAS
The name is not important, but must be a string you will remember. The 1.2.3.4 is the IP address of your WebAS. Please write in the correct value instead of my example value!
<u>Step 2:</u> Start you BSP application as usual. When the popup comes for your password, press cancel. You will now see in the top of the browser some URL of the form: http://myWebAS:port/sap/... The :port is only there if you are not using the default port 80. Now manually change the URL by adding the domain you configured previously. It should now be: http://myWebAS.domain.ext:port/sap/... Press ENTER to load this URL.
This way you are using a FQDN, and the browser is able to resolve this pseudo name onto the correct IP address. The WebAS/BSP will be happy with this.
Not the most satisfactory solution, but it should get you at least on the road.

  • CF 9.0.1 Update - Cannot Start CF Application Server

Running a dev box with W7 x64. i7 8GB ram.  Had CF 9.0.0 (x86) running.  Able to get to /CFIDE/Administrator.cfm and add DSNs, etc, but could not access CF websites due to 403 errors.
Installed 9.0.1 x64 update and now CF Application Server service will not start.  (Error Code 2) and the Win event log posts "The ColdFusion 9 Application Server service terminated with service-specific error The system cannot find the file specified."
Checking the service properties, it is looking for: "C:\ColdFusion9\runtime\bin\jrunsvc.exe" and I verified that it was there.
Looking at the forum I saw that it may be a JRE error, so I edited my JVM config to "java.home=C:/ColdFusion9/runtime/jre6"  (Copied the ../jre6 folder from C:/program files/java/ in case the config file was tripping over the space in "Program Files")
Tried toggling IIS6 compatability on/off - No joy.
I've spent a couple of days chasing this (Tried to load CF9 x64 and it was a bust.)
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

I've tried both the x64 & x86 updaters without any success.  (The labling on the update package suggested that it related to the OS vs. the Server version.)  Same error either way with both the x86 and x64 CF9 servers
I looked at the logs and didn't see much...
(Note: This is back to a straight x86 9.0.0 install, so it won't have the 9.0.1 errors.  Doh!)

  • Cannot start Essbase application

    Hi-
We could not start our Essbase application after stopping and starting Essbase services. This issue happens randomly, usually when big calcs are running and getting interrupted by the nightly backup process. We are killing all processes and logging off users before stopping the services, however we still seem to be running into "Cannot load application..." error depicted below when trying to start the services back up.. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Is there any better way to get rid of any hung processes besides "alter system kill request all;" command? Thank you in advance..

When you kill a calc script, it can damage your app/db.

  • Cannot Start Administration Server

On the Netscape Console (4.1), after setting the password to expire, I
am unable to start and stop the administration server through either the
console or Control Panel (Windows NT). The error message is "Unable to
read configuration parameters [PSET error: Authentication Failed|exit]."
Has anyone encountered this error before?
    Regards,
    Craig

It looks like the Admin password was set to expire and has expire. I suppose that you could try to bind as Directory Manager and then modify the Admin Password. If you can't do this with the Console through Admin Server, try directly using the LDAP command tools.

  • Cannot start Messages - application not responding.

I've been unable to launch Messages for the past few days. No new installs that I can think of. I've been on Yosemite for awhile so I don't think it's Yosemite related.
Messages will just hang and I have to force quit.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try to launch Messages. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
Some private information, such as your name or email address, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

  • [KDM] Cannot start gui application with sudo

    Hi,
After i had upgraded to kde 4.5, there was a new problem. When i want to start any gui program with sudo (e.g. sudo kwrite) i see that error:
    [simas@myhost ~]$ sudo kwrite
    No protocol specified
kwrite: cannot connect to X server :0.0
    [simas@myhost ~]$
Starting apps like nano works fine. I also discovered that when i use gdm instead of kdm, and boot to same kde desktop, i can start gui apps with sudo fine. when i use kdm no matter if im in gnome or kde starting gui apps from terminal with sudo just doesnt work.
Anyone has any ideas? im starting desktop managers with inittab method.

well, using kdesu works fine, but i still prefer sudo. in fact everything worked fine in kde 4.4 and gdm.

I do not get the Problem If I sign the jars and use the 'permision-all' tag in my jnlp, but that is not what I want.
The problem seems to be that I cannot read SystemProperties.
    Can that be configured somehow?
Does anyone have an idea how to overcome that problem ???

    Hi
For me it smells like hardware fault.
I can imagine that some part like CPU or maybe the GPU died.
Why? I dont think that someone would be able to provide you an proper explanation
However, since your notebook is really new, the unit should be fixed free of charge.
Get in contact with an local Toshiba authorized service provider and ask for assistance.
Other option might be the notebook dealer who sells this unit.
Maybe you could replace it with another new one.

  • HP xw8600 nvidia gtx 650 graphics card "cannot start device code 10"

I have an HP xw 8600 with two Xeon 5450 processors and 4GB RAM, it's still running XP sp3 with /3GB enabled. Bios 01.46
The original ATI Firegl graphics card just died and I have installed an nvidia geforce GTX650. The latest nvidia driver is installed version 344.11. But the graphics card isn't running correctly, it provides very slow low resolution graphics and device manager says "cannot start device code 10".
I tested the card in a Dell t1700 and it worked correctly.
NB. while waiting for the GTX650 I installed an old nvidia fx550, the card worked correctly running dual monitors. BUT after installing the GTX650 and getting the error, if I switch back to the fx 550 it also now gives the code 10. Tried going back to a restore point before the GTX650 was installed and reinstalling the fx550, but it stall has the same code 10 error.

I can ensure that all of these connection pool has configured to run on 9093 port already. Then I view the DOMAIN_NAME/pointbase.log, it said:
Unable to start the server. start server error: java.net.BindException: Address already in use
I cannot understand what's run on pointbase address ?
All of these error make me angry, because I've configured with the same way on other system and It's work. I've spent all of week to fix these bug, but I'm having nothing :((
    Please help me.

    Thank Jay SenSharma.
I've looked for these JAVA_OPTION values you said, but I cant found them. That value is content of JAVA_DEBUG option, not JAVA_OPTION. In my situation, JAVA_DEBUG=" " (it's not set by default).

  • Cannot start Enterprise Manager for Fusion Middleware 11g

    Dear all,
Because I want to install Oracle EGRCM v8.0.1 in Linux x86_64, so I installed Oracle Weblogic 11gR1 and SOA Suite 11g first.
After installation successfully, I created a base_domain as default, and can start weblogic administration server ( http://localhost:7001/console ) successfully.
Now I want to use Enterprise Manager for Fusion Middleware 11g. Per "*Oracle® Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)*", the EM should be available now and the access URL should be http://localhost:7001/em . But when I try to access it, the following error returned:
    Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    +10.4.5 404 Not Found+
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
So I try to start with emctl in *$MW_HOME/oracle_common/bin/*, the error is as following:
    +./emctl: line 387 /d02/Middleware/oracle_common/perl/bin/perl: No such file or directory+.
I check the path and find out that no directory named "perl" under */d02/Middleware/oracle_common*. So I try to copy the necessary dir from the dir installed Oracle Database 11g ( *$ORACLE_HOME* ), but it returns following error:
OC4J Configuration issue. /d02/Middleware/oracle_common/sysman/j2ee not found.
I try to copy necessary dir from *$ORACLE_HOME* but still cannot start EM.
Please give some advise about how I can start EM for Fusion Middleware 11g, any idea is appreciate!
    Best Regards,
    Kenny Wang

    Hi Kenny
See this post of mine: Re: Fusion Middleware Console
For any SOA Domain, unless you have Enterprise Manager Facet enabled (during domain creation process or adding later on by extending it), you will not be able to access the EM Console. For quick testing, open config.xml file for your domain and check the modules specially em module as shown below. It should be there. This is for one of my SOA Cluster Domains with SOA on top of WLS 10.3.2
    <app-deployment>
    <name>em</name>
    <target>AdminServer</target>
    <module-type>ear</module-type>
    <source-path>C:\beawls1032\user_projects\applications\soaDomainCluster1/em.ear</source-path>
    <deployment-order>400</deployment-order>
    <security-dd-model>DDOnly</security-dd-model>
    <staging-mode>nostage</staging-mode>
    </app-deployment>
    Thanks
    Ravi JeggaHello Ravi:
I too like Kenny experienced the EXACT same thing this morning. I was trying to figure out how to modify the formsweb.cfg and I remembered from when I install Oracle9i/10g AS a few years back, that it was on the Enterprise Manager Console for forms (different than the EM for the database). Well that's different than the consoles for Weblogic Server and Weblogic Server for Forms. I ran into the same errors Kenny did, and I followed your steps except that I did install into the domain the Enterprise Manager so when I looked at the config.xml I do see the same code that you posted above. Yet I still get the error when accessing
    http://computer:7001/em
Also when trying to run emctl (I copied the perl directory from the database) and same error as Kenny. Any tips/clues?
I'm running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, Oracle 11g (database, Fusion Middleware).
    Thanks,
    Gio
