Contract Manager 14, new install, cannot log in

I have tried to install CM 14 and can't seem to login. I keep getting "The user id or password you entered is no valid".
I have a Win Server 2003 R2 Stnd Edition SP2 test server with a new standalone CM 14 Biz Intel Pub Edition install with JRE 6-24, Weblogic Server 11g (10.3.4), and SQL Server 2005.
The startWeblogic.cmd seems ok.
Weblogic Server 11g Admin Console seems ok with data sources and expedition deployment State: Active, Health: OK.
admincm.cmd seems ok and Primavera Administrator opens ok with exp.sql login/password.
When I use http://<servername>:7001/exponline/adminlogon.jsp locally (and remotely on the same LAN), the exp.sql login/password fails.
Also when I use http://<servername>:7001/exponline/logon.jsp locally (and remotely on the same LAN), the exp.sql login/password fails.
What am I missing?

Hi Nikki and others,
I have tried your suggestions Nikki and failed.
If I look inside SQL Server 2005 under Database EXPADMIN > Security > Users I have dbo, exp, guest, INFORMATION_SCHEMA and sys and the same for Database CMDEMO. Under Security > Login I have exp and sa amongst others. There are no EXPADMIN or ADMIN users/logins inside my SQL Server 2005.
I have followed the Installation and Configuration Guide for Microsoft SQL Server, but when I reach Page 110 I cannot login.
What am I doing wrong?
I do not understand why the exp login with password sql is not working?
With Thanks and Best Regards,
Michael

  • After new hard drive, Leopard installed, cannot log in - Help Please!

The local Apple store installed a new hard drive and Leopard on my G5 desktop yesterday. I attempted to restore my applications and documents, using Time Machine from my external G-Drive but am getting the message "you may need to enter the name and password for an administrator on this computer to change the item (Turbo Tax Premier 2007)". I also tried to install the application iWork which I purchased and it too would not let me because it was asking for a password. I typed my old password and user name that I had given to the Apple store (they asked me for it) but it was not accepted or recognized. Should I return to the Apple store and let them do this for me, or is there a reason my password and user name is not being recognized? Also, I do not have the Leopard DVD that they installed from to make any changes or reset the password (I have the original Leopard that I purchased when it became available but hesitate to use it since it caused my Mail App to become corupt which was the reason I went to the Apple Store in the first place as my other Leopard applications and system seemed to be working ok - but when they attempted to reinstall the OS, that's when they called me and said I needed a new hard drive since the attempted installation failed.) Sorry about rambling on, but wanted to give you as much info as possible about my situation and would appreciate any suggestions and help.
Will I have to reinstall all my applications such as Quicken, TurboTax, iLife, ect or should they be restored from my G-Drive? I'm worried about loosing my "documents" as they were created using the older "Appleworks" application; that's why I purchased iWork, to transfer them to.
    Thanks again.

Just thought I'd refresh my recent post to see if any of you current viewers might have a suggestion as how to fix my problem with the "log in". I really appreciate any ideas on this subject.

  • Solution Manager 4.0 install error logging in for DDIC step 29

Has anyone else seen the error 'Test logon to SAP System <sid> failed"? It states that it cannot login for DDIC. This is at step 29 during the install of the solution manager 4.0.
    We are running on a Windows 2003 Server/Oracle 10g.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. We've been hitting this same error for the last couple of days.
    Thanks,
    DBB

    Dear Derrick,
I have run into the exact same problem!!!!
During step 29 of the install does it ask you to enter the DDIC password?
It will ask you twice for a password if both the times the login fails then you will have no other option but to uninstall and reinstall Sol Man 4.
The tactic that worked for me is that when it will ask u the passowrd the first time.......before you enter the password.......login in to Sol Man 4 using the default DDIC password 19920706. then change the default password. And then go back to the install and give this new ddic password.
This is the only thing that worked with me.
Let me know if anything else works.
Email me @ [email protected] if you have any other questions.
    thanks

  • New Install cannot run applications

I've installed Arch in many systems usually with little to no problem, but this one takes the price.
I made a new installation on a brand new system.
I used the 64 bit version (but I do not think that really matters) and everything seemed well.
After I verified all the "basics" and added KDE4 I installed chromium from the repos. However, since I like Firefox for development I downloaded a copy from mozilla.org into my machine. This is NOT unusual.
I created a directory called Apps/firefix and put it in there. Again, this is standard procedure for me; it always works.
But this time ... something is NOT working so if I execute Apps/firefox/firefox I get: bash: Apps/firefox/firefox: No such file or directory
Of course that is not the case the files are  there.
I've been fooling around for hours now but I cannot see ANY reason for the problem.
    My path is :
bash: /home/ralvez/bin:/home/ralvez/Apps:/home/ralvez/bin:/home/ralvez/Apps:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/bin/core_perl: No such file or directory
I'm part of the following groups :
    uid=1000(ralvez) gid=1000(ralvez) groups=1000(ralvez),5(tty),6(disk),91(video),92(audio),93(optical),94(floppy),95(storage),96(scanner),98(power),100(users)
Has anyone had a similar problem? Any ideas as to what could it be?
    Thunks guys!!

    @Trilby and Willian Richard,
I found the problem!! And I'll be dammed!! It is because I'm running a 64 bit OS.
If I go to mozilla.org and download a nightly binary made for 64 bit Linux OS then ... it works!
So ... the question now is:
How do we run a 32 bit application in a 64 bit OS? I know it is possible.
What people do in the Arch community? I'm sure I'm not alone in this quest... [looking worried ...] or am I
    Ideas, solutions ?
    Thanks!!

  • New install: Event Log - Schannel Event ID: 36888

I am in the process of setting up a Microsoft TMG server on a new Dell PowerEdge R610
I have installed Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, Exchange 2010 Edge Transport Service, ForeFront 2010 for Exchange and finally TMG 2010 as per the TechNet TMG installation guides.  All the latest updates have been applied including Exchange 2010 rollup 1.
Around the point at which I installed Exchange 2010, the system event log started filling up with the following entries:
    Source: Schannel
    Event ID: 36888
    User: System
Message: The following fatal alert was generated: 10. The internal error state is 10.
TMG seems to be working correctly - proxy, web filtering, server publishing etc.  However I can access any HTTPS websites from the TMG server, this seems to be causing problems with Windows Update/Forefront 2010 updates.
I have installed two SSL certificates - one was requested from our internal certificate server and I have Exchange enabled that certificate for SMTP.  The other certificate is our public SSL certificate we use for website publishing - and ultimately SMTP but in case their were problems with the intermediate certificates I haven't yet enabled it for SMTP.
I'm having trouble finding any useful information about the Schannel error - can anyone help?
    Thanks.

Uncheck the TLS (transport layer security) options in Internet Explorer and check.
    a.       Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools.
    b.      Click on Internet Options and click on the advanced tab.
    c.       In Security, make sure that the TLS is not checked.
    d.      Click on Apply and then click Ok.
    e.      Now try to play the game and check.

  • New iPad; Cannot log into Verizon

I purchased an iPad 2 w/ Verizon, and had no problems setting up the Verizon account or connectivity (I know for some that has been problem w/ Verizon). However, due to an issue w/ my first iPad 2, Apple gave me a new one.  At the store, they said whenI restored the new iPad it would find my Verizon account.  Therein lies the problem.  It did not work, and when I go to check my account, rather than getting the screen to log-in, I get the sign up for new account fields.  Any suggestions appreciated (before I burn a bunch of time w/ apple and/or Verizon).
    Thx,
    Scott

I have the same problem, as my iPad2 was replaced yesterday due to defect and when I tried to setup the Verizon account I had with the last one, the message says the account is already in use and to use a different e-mail account.  NO help from Verizon or store on why this one won't let me activate the Verizon service on this unit.

  • Starting CMS for first time - cannot log on successfully

Hi, I am installing CRXI Server edition on a server running SQL2000. We have recently bought a new server to replace an old one, so we are trying to recreate the settings of our previous server. SQL runs great, but I cannot log on to the CMS. When installing I got a message saying the install cannot log on and that I need to check my credentials. I've tried everything. I heard the default was "administrator" with no password, and enterprise authentication and that doesn't work either. My domain or local credentials are also unsuccessful. Please help! Is there some sort of issue with SQL or???
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, cms.exe is running in task manager, but in Services it is stuck in "starting" mode (this is also the case in the central configuration manager) I couldn't get this service to restart after I changed the DSN.
When I try starting the Business View Manager I get the following error: Could Not Start WinSock DLL, error: 0x276b.
When I try loggin on to BOE I get this error: The system myserver.domain.pvt can be contacted, but there is no CMS running at port 6400.
Also, when I originally installed it and it asked me to log on to the CMSfor the first time, I got an error that the install could not log me on because my username and password were incorrect. (I didn't write down that exact error, and don't know how to recreate it.)
I'm reinstalling now for the 3rd time, because I didn't know how to get that service "unstuck"... not sure what to do when I install though...

  • Cannot log onto UME and Netweaver Admin pages

    Hello,
From the main WAS page (http://<servername>:5000) I am trying to log onto the User Management page.  I cannot log on with ANY account regardless of whether an administrator or not.  I get no error message, the page refreshes.  The SAP Netweaver Administrator page has the same issue.
If I log directly onto the SLD page no problem.  Also I can run Visual Administrator and maintain users and groups.
We are running WAS 6.40 with SP15 applied.  Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Alan Nichols

You might have some sort of a popup blocker activated. From the main WAS page, the link to the User Management page opens in a new page. Try disabling the popup blocker or try going directly to:
    http://localhost:50000/useradmin
I tried it on my installation which is also WAS 6.40 and SP15 and it works.

  • "Flash out of date" comes up, new install, and will not accept Password for install?  Next step?

"Flash out of date" comes up, i do a new install, the log-in and password windows pops up, I type in password and it will not accept.
I have changed password, confirmed password, rebooted several times, and it still will not re-insall new version.
    I am stuck.
    HELP!

This password prompt is presented by your operating system, and is intended to keep you from accidentally installing software.
If this is your personal machine and you don't need a password to log into the computer when it first starts up, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to get past this prompt.  If this is your personal machine and your normal password isn't working, check to make sure that CAPS LOCK is off, and type the password carefully.
If this is your work machine and it's asking for an Administrator password, well, you'll need to have a conversation with your friendly IT person.
If you're still stumped, you may need to reset the password on your Mac:

  • Cannot log into EM after install new DB

I have now installed, uninstalled and re-installed 10G about five times on my W2K laptop without being able to successfully start EM or log into a DB via SQLPlus, etc.
There are two issues I am experiencing:
    1) If I am not connected to the web thru my laptop (online), I cannot even reference EM. I have set my internet connection to Never dial a connection so it will not keep prompting me to connect, but this has been to no avail. If I open my browser and work offline and try to use the link to EM, it will not let me--it will give me the standard web page not found, detect network settings, etc screen.
    2) If I am online, the EM web page comes up and tells me that my DB is not started and that I have to login as SYSDBA to start it. Despite using the correct OS userid/pwd and oracle userid SYS/pwd for the database login, it continues to tell me that the userid is wrong!
I cannot log into the DB as sysdba or otherwise via SQLPLUS. I can do "sqlplus /nolog" to get into sqlplus but can't connect to anything--it gives me the TNS-adapter error: not found' error message.
Now, I just did a fresh install and used DBCA to create a starter DB called test. I do not see a listener but on my last install (same problems as now) when I created one thru Net Mgr or Net Config Asst, it didn't matter as it wouldn't allow it to start in my services. There was already a OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener service set to AUTOMATIC and my new one (which it called OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener1Test) was set to manual and could not be started. LSNRCTL said that the new listener was blocked, so I assumed that 10G was using the EZCONNECT naming method and did not need the new listener.
What gives? Any help would be very much appreciated as I am at a complete standstill.
    Thanks!
    Dave

    Jeff,
Thanks for the info on policy settings.
Let's see: I had 8.1.5 installed and I tried the update to 10g but only works from 8.1.7 or 9i, so then uninstalled and re-tried to do fresh install in a different home (OraHome10 vs OraHome8). That didn't go so well--it changed my 8i somehow so 8i would no longer work. Then I tried fresh install of 9i with a new starter DB--couldn't get into that DB. So uninstalled 9i, uninstalled 10g, uninstalled 8i, deleted every reference to Oracle on my computer, registry, etc., and re-tried 10g. I even went and bought a registry cleaning tool to zap things to make sure it was clean. It looked like it installed fine, provided me with starter DB but I just can't get into it. I'll let you know if the policy setting works.
I'm trying to look on the bright-side and say that we are learning a lot!

  • Newbie Question - Cannot log onto htmldb admin user after new v2 install

    Hi
    Cannot log onto admin user.
htmldb v2 - installed fine on db
    Oracle Server - 9.2.0.5
9i Application Server (httpd 1.0.2.2.2). This part of the ebso 11.5.10 stack. Many
reasons why i had to do this but i could not see a compat issue ? This is only
test bed as well, not a production configuration.
    Followed all v2 post-install tasks - httpd.conf/wdbsvr.app .
    DAD/modplsql config OK.
On connection to admin interface - host:port/pls/htmldb/htmldb_admin, gives what i would call the 'standard' browser logon page ? Not the htmldb logon template
Thought it may be issue with images alias but don't really know and cannot see issue with config files ?
    Regards
    A

Do you have an alias setup for the images directory? For example -
Alias /i/ "....path to images directory..."If not, then that's probably the cause of your problem. If you do have that entry, then check that the path is correct, and check that the permissions on that directory are such that the user that the webserver is running as can access the directory.

As the last post suggests, call Apple and order a replacement original disc for about $17.  They will ask you the model and serial numbers.
Your retail version of Snow Leopard OS 10.6.3 will not work on that Mac as it requires a minimum of OS X 10.6.7 to boot and operate.
Another alternative is to again borrow another Mac to install your retail Snow Leopard into an external HD or partition, upgrade it to 10.6.8 and then clone it back to a partition on your MBP.

  • A year ago I had a new hard drive put in my Macbook pro.  I cannot log onto the computer to change settings as I do not know the password.  The tech said he left it blank, but I have not idea what it is now.  Can this be fixed.  I have been they only owne

I had the replacement hard drive installed and the tech said he left the password open.  My old password does not work.  I can use the computer, but I cannot log in to add new wireless devices or to download programs.  I recently tried to download Adobe Flash player, and I needed to log in but could not. I can downloan security updated from Apple and the machine will shut down and restart, without me needing to enter a password.  I bought this computer from Apple directly in 2007.  Is this a case where I need to send it to them since they can verify that I own it, or can I get help with this online or from a local computer tech?

If you use Lion, boot into your recovery pressing Command and R buttons, press "Utilities" menu, open Terminal and write:
    resetpassword
If you have Snow Leopard, boot into your install DVD pressing C button, click "Utilities" and press Password Reset
