    Hello,
pulling 10-25 million rowsYou will never want to show that many records on a page or html based report, the page weight would be absolutely huge along with your network load (this would be the case in any web enviroment), even google which I will have to assume has many more records than you do only shows 10 records returned at a time.
Results 1 - 10 of about 3,510,000,000 for htmlApplication Express can handle sql queries against that data, the question you really should be researching is what it takes to create queries that perform well against such a dataset

    hi tw
I did my certification in SAP SD from Bangalore by month of October 2012, after that
i received only one opportunity to attend interview at Capgemini, I cleared my
interview but unluckily project was canceled and they haven't done any recruitment.
your view is add on Knowledge, still I am maintaining studying, at least every day 7hrs plus, but problem is, job market or industry not have need of certified person, companies prefer to get 3 years real time exp persons more willingly than certified fresher.
I had discussed with few of the HR managers, their reply was, in certification course there is no real time project training, it’s just about overall SAP concept, so we prefer 1 or 2 years exp people.
So my opinion is going for SAP SD certification is useless and money wasting.
    Thanks

  • Contracting opportunity for Captivate developer

Looking for Captivate expertise in Instructional Design for a major project.  Responsibilities include developing 1-2 hour Captivate modules from existing storyboards/scripts. Extremely fast moving project with high visibility. Join an existing team of 5 developers. Some onsite in Sacramento, CA is preferred (not required) for meetings and collaboration. Only Captivate experts who can be immediately productive.
    Richard Peck, Training Development Lead
    [email protected]

    Richard,
Something I do not understand here.  If your Captivate developer is only going to be following storyboards that someone ELSE has designed, why does he/she need expertise in Instructional Design?  Normally the instructional design aspect would have already been worked out in the storyboarding process.

  • For pure AS3 development do we still need to overlay the FLEX SDK?

    Hi Guys
I've found this whole SDK overlay business a mess and very confusing. I've found this document
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/articles/ane-android-devices.html
    which states
"The distribution of the AIR SDK with ASC 2.0 is for pure ActionScript development only. It should not be combined with an existing Flex SDK.
To support Flex application development with newer versions of the AIR SDK, an AIR SDK overlay distribution that does not include ASC 2.0 needs to be overlaid over the Flex SDK bundled with Flash Builder 4.7."
So if we are doing pure AS3 development there is no longer any need to do any 'overlaying' of one SDK Folder onto another.  We just need to get the latest AIR SDK with complier ( http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/air-sdk-download.html )
We should then update the AIR SDK if using Flash Builder via (  http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-builder/kb/overlay-air-sdk-flash-builder. html ) (Note it still uses the term 'overlay' but you are not really overlaying but replacing).
Is this conclusion correct.  Do we just need the SDK with the new compilier and nothing else ?
Can someone from Adobe confirm please ?
    Thanks
PS - I've asked this question on the Flash Builder Forom but there's been no response.

Yes, that's correct, for pure AS3 development you need not use the Flex SDK overlay. For this you should use asc2 compiler available at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/air-sdk-download.html . Also below are step to overlay your AIR SDK with Flash builder 4.7
    1. Exit Flash Builder.
    2. Back up the AIR SDK availabe at Application/FB4.7/eclipse/plugins/com.adobe.flash.compiler_4.7.0.349722/ by copying the entire directory and rename it to something AIRSDKversion. Now, you have two folder AIRSDK(default one) and AIRSDKversion(copied one).
    3. Download the appropriate AIR SDK file for your operating system e.g. http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/air-sdk-download.html unzip and save it on your MAC OS X.
    4. On Terminal, run the below command
    sudo ditto /path/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac /Applications/Adobe\ Flash\ Builder\ 4.7/eclipse/plugins/com.adobe.flash.compiler_4.7.0.349722/AIRSDK
/path/air3-8_sdk_sa_mac -> path where you downloaded the AIR SDK
/Applications/Adobe\ Flash\ Builder\ 4.7/eclipse/plugins/com.adobe.flash.compiler_4.7.0.349722/AIRSDK -> path where you overlay the new AIR SDK
    5. (Optional) To access the new AIR 3.8 APIs, update your application descriptor file to the 3.8 namespace.
To update the namespace, change the xmlns attribute in your application descriptor to: <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/3.8">
    6. (Optional) To ensure that the output SWF file targets SWF version 21, pass an additional compiler argument: -swf-version=21.
    Hope this will help.

    Nimit

  • Tutorial for Eclipse/Flex Compiler Development?

    Hello,
I cannot find any reliable information on setting up Eclipse with all the right plugins to modify the Flex Compiler.  http://www.darronschall.com/weblog/2005/08/setting-up-eclipse-for-flex.cfm  is too old, and the others are just unclear.
If anyone could give me a hand that would be great.
    - Eclipse version Flex SDK Developers are using.
    - Required plugins (I'm on a Mac 10.5)
    - How to run a sample Flex SDK Compiler project, or debug it or something, or at least just load it.
I have everything set up (eclipse installed, the flex source installed and ready according to the developer documentation).  But this last step is missing.  Thanks!
    Lance

I wouldn't switch if you want to do .NET / SQL Server
development. Most people on Macs who do SQL Server development
either use a remote server or run it in a Windows Virtual Machine.
Important programs are available for both OSes, but without
knowing which ones you use it's hard to say whether you just need
to install the "mac version" or whether you'd need to install a
    brand new one.

  • Should I switch to Mac for CF/Flex/SQL development?

I'm contemplating a move to Mac for my local development
environment. I have seen quite a number of people using Mac for
CF/Flex/Flash development. Those are my primary programming
platforms - though I'm planning on adding AJAX and .NET to my
arsenal soon. I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on the
benefits and drawbacks of switching to Mac:
Do the IDEs (i.e. Flex Builder, Eclipse, Fireworks, etc.)
    work well?
Are there any other important programs (i.e. Source Control,
Wireframing/Mockups) that will (or will not) work well?
What about database development? I'm used to SQL Server - can
it run on a Mac? If so, how well does it work?
Any other issues I should know about developing on a Mac?
I know this is very vague, but I'm looking for any
constructive feedback I can get, to help me make a wise decision.
    Thanks.
Are there any other known issues with programming

  • Attest1.5 - a practice exam engine for the Adobe Flex 3 Developer Certification

    http://software.pxldesigns.com/attest/
Has anyone used Attest 1.5 and passed the ACE for Flex 3?

I did not use Attest for the Flex 3 exam. The questions in the version for the Flex 2 exam did not cover the breadth of topics covered in the real exam, and some of the questions were not as difficult as the real exam.
That said, I did find Attest extremely valuable in preparing for the Flex 3 certification exam.
BTW, I'm currently working on a Flex app to help others prepare for the Flex 3 certification exam. It won't be ready until end of July, but it should have far more questions than Attest. Where Attest offers several "full" mock exams and several "mini" exams, my application will be designed to make persons "over-prepared" for the exam, because the end goal is not just to pass the exam, but to reach a high level of expertise in Flex.
I have not decided if I will charge for the application, we'll see how it turns out by end-of-July.
Attest is free, but I expect you will be more than pleased to buy my version, as it will be a different animal entirely.

    About Brilig
The online advertising industry is in the midst of a disruptive transition from untargeted ad 'space' buys to sophisticated targeted 'audience' buys. While there are many different kinds of data that can be used individually to target consumers, there is currently no way to combine them to get a complete view of a unique consumer.
The problem is compounded by the fact that audience data exists in different forms, in thousands (maybe millions) of unconnected databases. Brilig is in the business of weaving online audience information together from any data source, wherever it is located. Our service provides a seamless way for publishers (audience sellers) to make their segments available for sale to the open market. Using Brilig, marketers, agencies and behavioral targeters (audience buyers) can access, analyze and combine these audience segments to find lift hidden within the intersection of them and transfer that lift to their online advertising campaigns.

  • New contract account for every line item in subscription order....

    Hi Guys,
I am having a problem with the subscription order.
Whenever I change the subscription order and add a line item to it, SAP by default  creates a new contract account for that line item. Whereas I want to assign the same contract account to the second line item also.
Can you suggest me any solution for this problem?
    Thanks in advance...
    Regards,
    Abhay

    Hello Abhay,
This is the normal and correct function for SAP. If you would like for the subscriptions to be on the same contract that you subscriber has, an enhancement has to be developed.
We had a similar requirement and an enhancement was developed per specifications.

  • Does the new AIR SDK support iOS 64-bit for Flex Developers?

I saw that the new AIR SDK(December 18, 2014) has supported iOS 64-bit, but it was only supported in the new compiler. See this:
Please note that support for creating universal IPA binaries will only be available in the new compiler. The legacy compiler is not (and will not be)
compatible with iOS 64-bit. Because of this, it will be removed with version 16 of the AIR SDK. To ensure that Adobe as well as third party tools
are able to work with this AIR SDK, the -useLegacyAOT option will continue to exist, but will be internally mapped to the new compiler.
AFAIK, the Flex uses the old compiler and AIR SDK for Flex Developers doesn't include ActionScript 2.0 Compiler. As a Flex developer, what shall I do?

    Hi,
I guess, you might be packaging IPA on windows machine.  Please try latest beta at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air.html which has iOS64 support on Windows machine as well.
    Thanks

    Log Message:
Initial checkin of the "More styles for Spark skins" feature. Details here:
    http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/MoreStylesforSparkSkins
    There are some known issues:
Panel bottom corners not rounded correctly when the panel has a control bar
cornerRadius on Tab and DateChooser non functional
cornerRadius values > 4 have drawing artifacts in the "down" state of Button and button-like components
TextInput/TextArea incorrectly list lineBreak and verticalAlign as valid styles
This checkin also includes a couple minor unrelated bug fixes:
Remove MiniDebugTarget. This is a logging target that used MiniDebug, which hasn't worked since Flex 1.5
Fix RTEs when setting focusSkin to null
Optimization: don't measure skins if the host component has explicit sizes
QE notes: Yes, many baseline images will need to be regenerated
Doc notes: New ASDoc comments should be scrubbed

Gordon, it looks like its been a while since you made this post.  Not sure how valid it is now...   I am particularly interested in the LigatureLevel.NONE value.  It seems that it is no longer supported.
How do I turn of ligatures in the font rendering?
My flex project involves trying to match the font rendering of Apache's Batik rendering of SVG and ligatures have been turned off in that codebase.  Is there any way (even roundabout) to turn ligatures off in flash?
    Thanks,
    Om

  • AIR Extentions for Flex Builder 2

I was watching some video's on lynda.com about developing

good to know. If I try the Beta version of Flex 3 with my

    Hello people,
I m  somedays away to release the  version 2.1 of gwt4air. gwt4air is an open source project  based on  gwt (http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/)  and provides a Java API to different platform where Java is not the primary language.
Version 2.0 added among other features  support for Adobe AIR, Alive PDF, Pure PDF, Aswing and other GWT based  UI libraries like  EXT-GWT
With version 2.1  i added support for Flex(AIR and Browser). The goal of this approach is to make it easy for Java Developers to switch  to Flex be leveraging  a swing like API. But also to  present an alternative to the classical Flex developement. The overall idea behind this is described here:
    http://code.google.com/p/gwt4air/wiki/Beginn
A demo application ca be found here: http://gwt4air.appspot.com/
The application contains around 100 demos with source code illustrating the use of the api.
I ve tried to keep the API similar to the AS3 api  so one could easely  switch from AS3 to Java and vice versa
Note that this  flex applicaton is entirely written in Java using gwt4air. No AS3 no MXML.
The application is still in alpha stage so please expect some errors.
The project home is located at:
    http://code.google.com/p/gwt4air/
I m looking forward to hear what you think about this idea. Any inputs (good or bad)  is really welcome
Help me make this an even better tool.
It s about time that  Flex rocks the GWT world
    cheers,
    Alain

It looks like those genius @google are also thinking about a Java(GWT) API for Flash .

Glad to see  that i m not a fool
Or alteast not the only fool that believe  combining  Java and Flash/Flex is a potent mix.
