Contract Pricing Scales

All,
we are using SRM Version 5.0 and have had SRM Contracts working with CCM system, (not MDM), for some time but without using price scales.
We populate SRM contracts in CM by loading from a Procurement Catalog.
Price scales exist in the procurement catalog but when we bring the items into the Contract the price scale is not brought across and the item ends up with the base price.
I think there may be some config setting that we have missed.
Any suggestions on resolving this please?

Hi Allen,
in standard you cannot transfer the scales from CCM to SRM. From CCM the system transfer that price, which belongs to the quantity, due to the scale check is done on CCM side. There is no other possibility as to maintain the scales manually in the contract.

On what basis the pricing is carried out in the case of value contratcs.....With Billing Plan
IF The billing document is carried out with reference to the COntract then what will be the pricing carried out in the billing....
What is the business process requirement under which the Billing document is created with reference to the Contract.....??
Under the contract processing.... if release orders are created and then the billing based on the release order then in that case what would be the pricing in the billing ???

What I have said is a way to maintain the condition type for the discount to be applied. If you want the discount to be applied only when the sales order gets raised from Value contract. The easy and alternat way is go to "OVKK" and assign a pricing procedure without this discount type to the sales area and the customer pricing procedure and the contract pricing procedure. And for the sales order which is a followup of the value contract assign a different pricing procedure with the discount condition type. But you have to copy the standard order type "OR " and rename it and maintain this as an order type for the value contract and document pricing procedure for this should be some customized one. Goto "VOK0" and Create a new docu pricing procedure and assign this in "OVKK".Maintain the copy controls and pricing type shopuld be "C". Kindly please let me know If you need any more help on this.

Value contract - pricing concepts

Hi experts
How contract pricing will work -?
Scenario -
Customer - xyz --having value contact with us for the period 5 years for amount $10000.
So that he will get some disocunts Zxxx - extra disocunt $100 ( because he is under contract) when order created.
How this scenario will work -?
where should I maitain this condition type. In the cotract or sales order. How the system will identify this contract customer and and give $100 discount.

Copy contract pricing from sales contracts in billing

Hi
I Have a requirement to Copy contract pricing agreements from sales contracts during resource related billing creation.
At the time of resource related billing is performed, the agreed contract rate should be taken into account when pricing is performed in SAP. So, the agreed price needs to be copied from the contract condition record into the resource related billing transaction (sales pricing) as a condition record.
Can i get the solution for this?
If anybody knows the solution please help me out. Appropriate Points will be awarded. Thanks in advance.

You just need to configure your pricing properly.
Suppose you have condition type with document/item keys in the condition table.
Now, if you define conditions for contract/item, to pick them up in the invoice - you just need to pass contract number/item number in the fields you use in your access sequence for this particular condition type.
You can either define new step in the access sequence passign different fields (assuming konh or konp have fields for contract number) OR use ueserexit_pricing_prepare_tkomk, userexit_pricing_prepare_tkomp to populate fields in TKOMK/TKOMP you then use in your access sequence to search for pricing condiiton record.

Hi Bidhu,
Scales are used in pricing when there is different price at different quantity. Scaled prices are maintained like:
From 1 pc - 100.00 EUR
from 50 pc - 90.00 EUR
from 100 pc - 80.00 EUR
Now for qty 1 to 49, price would be taken as 100 EUR. where as for 50 to 99, it would be 90 EUR. Similarily price for any qty above 99 (mean >=100) price would be 80 EUR.
You can use scales in any document where pricing can be maintained. SD and MM behave same as scales if functionlity of SD and MM also used that.
If price date determination is done as the time of GR, GR qty will be used to determine the price scale. But if price date category is document, document qty (like PO qty) would be used to determine the correct price scale.

Shipment cost - pricing scales

helo to all ,
i have a requirement to add a scale to an existing conation record .
1. is it possible and what are the effects by changing the condition type from wight/volume to
    scale ( multi-dimm ) ?
2. the condition record calculates the qty in the delivery * Z009 ( condition - that was insert in TK12)
    i need to add scale to this condition in order to maintain a minimum value :
example :
delivery qty = 6 KG
Z009 = 4 $
MIN amount in scale = 30 $
qty*Z009 = 24   < 30   ---> then the condition value is 30 $ .
HOW can i define this scale ? ( its not volume or wight )
can i do it in another way that not involves scales ??

Hello Experts,
My client require the scales to be maintained based on % on value maintained.
For eX -
Basic Price is 100 USD
Pricing Scale - Lower limit should be 15 % tat means 15 USD be the lower limit but it should be maintained in %
Upper limit should be 30%

The Basic Price of 100 USD is maintained in VK11 Condition Records correct? Then at the same time, client can maintain lower & upper scales in USD i.e. 115 & say 85.
Also whenever the Basic Price is changed in VK12, t he emd user can change the scales also.
Is there real Business justification to maintain scales on % basis?
I doubt whether this is possible in standard. However you can try following:
Option 1.
In V/06, under Scales there is a box for Scale Basis, enter G - Scale based on a formula here & in the box for Scale formula you will have to develop a routine in VOFM & get it assigned here.
2. Option 2.
Define another condition type whose Calculation Type would be Percentage & it would be copy of Basic Price. The condition record for this Condition would be 100% & here you can maintain the scales in Percentage. Maintain this condition as Mandatory in Pricing Procedure system will do the needful.
Put this new Condition Type under Basic & all your Pricing Calculation will start from this new Condition Type.

How to Change Contract pricing Procedure

Is there a way after the contract has been created to change the pricing procedure it uses. I know you can do this in the sales order.

Pricing procedure is determined from the customer master(customer pricing group in the sales area tab) + document pricing procedure in the order type + sales area
So if you want to change the contract pricing procedure, change the document pricing procedure in the contract type you are using.
And make sure there is a combination maintained for the new document pricing procedure in IMG to determine the pricing procedure in the contract.

Pricing Scales : How to retrieve it ??

I was wondering if anybody knew how to retrive the pricing scales for a condition either in some database table or maybe with the help of a function module.

Hi Helder,
If you are looking at capturing scale values at database level, you can proceed as follows:
Trace out the condition tables associated with the condition type's access sequence which you are looking at. Assume if this is SAP002 and CUS502 (Starting with SAP are standard tables ranging from 001 to 500. Starting with CUS are customer specific tables starting from 501 to 999). This can be traced out in the following path. CRM --> Basic Fucntions --> Pricing --> Define Settings for Pricing --> Create Access Sequences (and Create Condition Types)
Now go to se16 and query CNCCRMPRSAP002 and CNCCRMPRCUS502 with required criteria to get value of VARNUMH (condition record ID)
Now further query table CNLCRMPRSCALEV01 with VARNUMH captured in above step and get the value of KBETR (Rate)

Pricing Scale u2013 Formula

Dear All,
If a sales order value is 1,00,000 and based on this value I have to give a slab discount for 1st 50,000 I have to pass 5% discount and for next 30,000 value I have to pass 7% discount and for remaining 20,000 I have to pass 10% discount.
How do I achieve this using pricing scale formula ?

Hi,
If you have an SD consultant, you can do this without development.
In V/06, for the discount c.type, Group condition routine value should be 1. Header condition and item condition checkboxes need to be ticked on.Maintain scale basis as B.
While maintaining condition records in VK11, you can go to scales view and maintain your intervals and the discount% in the screen by selecting the scale type as D
If you want step by step, you may have to contact an SD guy. This is a pure SD topic

Pricing Scale Maintenance

We are on CRM 5.0
For a CRM Product we have maintained a Pricing Scale.
Now user want us to maintain a different pricing scale for the same product with a different validity. They want the validity of the pricing scale should be from valid for next 3 months. And both the pricing scales should be active in the system
We have tried to maintain two different condition records with two different validitities but system is not accepting as the product id is same.
Please suggest how it can be achieved

Sprint vs Apple Contract Pricing

Apple's website infers the total monthly price will be $120 and Sprint's website states $80. Please explain the discrepency.

Apologies for the math error, yes Apple is listing the plan for $110. Sprint does offer a "MY ALL-INSM PLAN" contract for $110. However, this plan includes a 5 GB hotspot but Apple's site states the hotspot is not included. I want to purchase the phone through Apple and not Sprint.
I think just the one page on Apple's site is misleading. They actually show the correct contract pricing here:

Contract pricing based on the depth of the drilling

Dear Friends,
We have pricing requirement for services where the vendor will charge the company on the hours of service performed.
The Price of the service also vary based on the depth where the service is performed for example
Fracturing service      10   Hr                Depth      0 - 499        Meter       500 USD
                                                              Depth      500 - 999     Meter     700 USD
                                                              Depth      1000- 1500   Meter   800USD
I am not sure how to capture these details at contract ME31K condition.
One option is to use scales , but when I do the service entry sheet or the PO. The syetm should automatically pickup the
price based on the depth, so for 8 hr of service at depth 400 M price should automatically be picked up as 500 USD.
Please let me know if you have encountered the simillar situtaion, if yes kindly let me know the process for the same.

This can be done in better way in Plant maintenence module.
Consider the drilling depth as operation in the maintenence order.
For every operation assign activity type so as to calculate the cost.
Suppose if they drill for 50m ,they have to enter the operation confirmation as 50 hour.
here 1meter=1 hour.
If there are various slots,for every slots you have to create activity type.
say for example if for 0-100 meter cost is 10$,and 101-150m cost is 20$,
for 140 meter of drill depth,you have to enter two operations,one will be upto 100 meter,another will be upto 40 meter with different activity type so as to calculate the different cost.
Hope you understood the scenario.
