  • Contract Release Procedure

    Hi Experts,
I am new to the Release procedure, can anyone please tell me the configuration steps for this contract release procedure.
My client needs a release procedure for the quantity contract.
Please guide me how to configure this in the system.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
Your question is not clear, you asked two level but each level values are not clear.Ok.
As I understand , if you want release two levels, create release charactristics with CEKKO  with GNETW & with values <=15000 & >15000, Create two release codes(C1 & C2) & cretae two Release statergy( T1 & T2). Now during designing release statergy, you can keep value <=15000 with C1 release code under T1 release statergy and keep value >15000 with C2 release code under T2 release statergy
if you want release three levels, create release charactristics with CEKKO  with GNETW & with values <=5000 , 5000.01-15000.00 & >15000, Create thre release codes(C1 ,C2 & C3) & cretae three Release statergy( T1 , T2 &T3). Now during designing release statergy, you can keep value <=5000 with C1 release code under T1 release statergy, keep value 5000.01-15000.00 with C2 release code under T2 release statergy  and keep value >15000 with C3 release code under T3 release statergy.
For  Contract Document type MK( quantity), create  release characteristics with CEKKO with BSART & keep value MK only(if WK not required)
For  Value in Contract, create release charactristics with CEKKO  with GNETW & with values as required. You need to add all release characteristics under a release class.

  • How to configure release procedure for rate contracts release

    Dear all,
How to configure release procedure for rate  contract following are the requirements
    they are two release codes c1 & c2 <=100000,>=100000
if  c1 is not there c2 has to be approved
Change in the value of the rate contract contract
Change in the validity of the rate contract
Addition of deletion of line items
While using a non u2013 released rate contract in the PO an error message should shoot out.
Also the logic should be changed while using the rate contract in the PO.
The usage of the rate contract should be till the validity of the rate contract. i.e. the measurement should be end date of the rate contract and the PO creation date and not the delivery date of the PO. &
It should be possible to refer existing valid rate contracts in purchase orders.
    Regards,
    bhaskar

    Hi,
In SAP rate contract is known as value contract denoted with wk. The release procedure for rate contract is same as that of other contracts and scheduling agreements. The tables  for contracts will vary with SA (Scheduling agreement) .You may try and maintain condition records based on the customer combination and maintian the validity date of condition records as per your requirement. For contract and PO will have the same header/item table as EKKO/EKPO, and the release
class in standard is the same FRG_EKKO, you can use the same for contract.
To distinguish if it's a contract or PO, EKKO-BSART can be used.
For contract EKKO-BSART will be MK or WK, while PO will have NB/UB etc..
You can restrict the document type to set up the release strategy for only contract.
Of cause, you can also create your own release class Z* for contract copying standard
one FRG_EKKO via CL01/Class type 032, and then assign the class Z* to customizing:
    OLME:
    -> contract
    ->Release Procedure for Contracts
    ->Define Release Procedure for Contracts
    ->Release Groups
If you have already created the PO release class.
Assign a new chracteristic of Document Category -BSTYP
Please check below link for detailed release procedure. I hope this wil help you out .Thanking you.

  • Problem on PO release procedure

    Dear all
I have some difficulties over Release procedure.
I have to apply release procedure on contract and standard purchase orders and i successfully completed the configuration of release procedure on contract.
For release procedure on PO, i created the required class and charaseristics.
I am getting confusion while maintaining release group.
for contract i have maintained the release group as under.
Rel Grp     Rel Obj     Class                                  Description
    02             2     Z_CONTRACT_RELPROC    Contract Release procedure
Kindly guide me what to be maintain in release group for PO release procedure.
    Thanks & Regards
    Prasant sekhar

    Hi,
You can not assign More than One Class to "Release Groups".
Create all the Characteristics for RFQ, Contract, PO etc for CEKKO table ...
Then Assign all these Characteristics to a Class...
    Then maintain
    Release Groups
    Release Codes
    Release indicator
But Create Diff Release Strategies for RFQ, Contract & PO...
for each Release Strategies you can maintain Same Release Group or Diff Release Group..
whenever you are trying to create Release Strategie, You will Blank Characteristics for that "Release Strategies",
There you can select the parameters.
    Thx

  • Release Procedure For Contract

    Dear Gurus,
I have created a release procedure for Purchase Order. Now i created a Contract , it also asking for release.I dont know y its happening??
Is ter any link between Po release and Contract Release??
    Plz Explain ....
    Thanks in advance...........

    Hi,
Whatever document types you give in release procedure will undergo Approval process.
Since you have given MK & WK, your contract has been blocked for release. Unless it is released, it cannot be used for further transactions, say creation of PO.
Tcode to release contract is ME35K.
Release it using your release group & release codes, Afterwhich you will be able to create PO with contract reference.
If you donot want contract to undergo release procedure, please do not mention WK or MK in values for doc characteristics. Give the document type of PO alone. Say NB (standard PO)

  • Release Procedure for Quantity Contract

    Dear All,
We have a business requirement to ensure that Quantity Contracts are released by the Account Receivable Accountant before the Sales Support Staff can create Sales Orders against them.
Process : Create Quantity Contract (VA41) -> Release Contract (VKM3)->Create Sales Order (VA01)
Currently, users can create sales order against the quantity contract before the contract has been released.
I need guidance on how to implement system control to prevent this creation of Sales Orders before Quantity Contracts are released..
How can i configure release procedure for quantity contract?
    Any assistance will be appreciated.
    Many Thanks

    Hi
There is a concept of User Status / Status Management in SAP. By using this you can set status as default that is Blocked, and then the authorised person can release the document, only after that a person can create an Order, with reference to that Contract.
The Customisation setting is in :- IMG> sales and Distribution>Sales > Sales Document>Define and assign User Profile(T Code is BS02)
To know more about this you can search the Forum, also check the below given Link:-

  • Define Release Procedure for Contracts in RE-FX

    Hi Gurus!
I´d like to implement the release procedure for contracts in RE-FX similar at the MM module? Is it possible?
    I didn´t find in RE-FX.
    Thanks,
    Brunoro

    Hi Brunoro,
To the extent I am aware in REM exact release process is not available. Instead you can control the Creation/Activation of contract by resticting access to activity 01/07 (respectively) in your seperate roles (with the help of Basis team).
The person authoriosed for Activity 01 will not be authorised for activity 07. And communication between two users can be chanelled via worklist.

    Dear Friends ,
I facing some major problems in release procedure , i had configured one release procedure in 4levels , due to some reason i had deleted 3release groups and codes due to it was not working . But after deleteing  in purchase order it showing all release level and only firest level is working unable to make MIGO and other release levels are not working  . The relese code which i had created is appearing in RFQ/CONTRACT etc automatically . I had not created for this any release level . It's very very different case ....till date never faced and heared . How to resolve this probelm . Due to what reasons this kind of problems occurs .
    RB

    Hi,
Try  to delete all the release procedure available in the system.
First  try to do the documents coorectly and configure.
You might have done mistake in assigning the charcteristics to the class
Please try create a NEw release procedure once again.
Don't worry about the procedure in the RFQetc...

  • Release procedure for this concept.

    Dear Seniors,
    1) I had set release procedure already for contract and purchase order. Whenever i do po w.r.to contract, i have to release both contract and PO to do GRN. For example, consider vendor X and Y, i have contract for these 2 vendors and i have released that contract too. When i raise PO w.r.to that contract with vendor X and Y, it should not ask for release. How could i set that and where can i do that particularly for that two vendor X and Y? For remaining vendors, it should ask for release at PO level also. kindly suggest me please.
    2) Normally if we set message determination for PO, we can see print preview before release also. I would like to see the print preview after release of that PO. Before release of that PO, it should not show me the print preview. How could i set that ? Kindly suggest me please.
    3) I am having 400 plants, if i want to maintain 400 sloc for those plants correspondingly. Do i need to do that manually or is there any tcode to create sloc in mass ?
    Kindly clear my doubt please.

    Hi,
    Solution for 1)
Simple way to tackel this is to create saperate document type for PO s which are created with reference to contract
    Solution for 2)
Use development by using BADI in PO.
us logic check field FRGKE(release status) in EKKO.
    Solution 3)
Create BDC for the extation of storage locations.
    T-code = MMSC

    Thnks & Regards
    SAP MM User

You use this component if you wish to set up approval procedures for purchase requisitions or other purchasing documents. Under such a procedure, if a purchase requisition or external purchasing document fulfills certain conditions (e.g. the total order value exceeds $10,000), it has to be approved (by the cost center manager, for instance) before it can be processed further. This process of approving (clearing, or giving the "green light" to) a proposed item of expenditure is replicated in the SAP System by the "release procedure".
It is sensible to define separate release procedures for different groups of materials for which different departments are responsible, and to define separate procedures for investment goods and consumption goods.
    Features
Each person involved in the release procedure effects release (signifies approval) via a release transaction, using his or her release code. Once effected, a release can also be cancelled with the same code (that is to say, the original status is reinstated).
If linkage to  SAP Business Workflow has been defined for a release code, rejection is also possible. This is only possible for purchase requisitions.
Which Documents Can be Released (Approved)?
Release procedures can be defined for the following documents:
    Purchase Requisition
The external purchasing documents purchase order (PO), contract, scheduling agreement, request for quotation (RFQ), and service entry sheet
    Release Procedure for Purchase Requisitions
Two different procedures are available for requisitions:
    With classification
With this procedure, requisitions can be released both at item level (i.e. item-by-item) and in total. The latter approach is also termed "overall release".
    Without classification
With this procedure, requisitions can only be released at item level.
The two procedures are mutually exclusive (that is to say, you must decide in favor of one of them only - you cannot use both).
Release Procedure for External Purchasing Documents
External purchasing documents (i.e. purchasing documents other than requisitions) are released at header level. Item-by-item release is not possible. These documents can only be released using the release procedure with classification.

  • Contract  Release Stragery

    Hi All,
My Contract Release Strategy is based on duration .. When i save the Contract the release stragery trigeers...
But if the Workflow is rejected at first level then the initiator should have the option to Re-trigger ( the option is available in ME22N AND ME52N ) But it is not available in ME32K ...
IS there any solution to trigger the Workflow for the contract so that workflow can start.
    Appreciate your time.
    Thanks and Regards
    Mahesh

    Hello,
You may use CEKKO-REVNO and set version as characteristic of release class. Then any changes to contracts will trigger release procedure.
    Hope this helps.

This setting is incorporated to just give demonstration of how SAP Release procedure works.  The aim of this procedure is to replace manual written authorization procedures using signatures by an electronic one, while maintaining the dual Ctrl principle.  The person responsible processes the purchasing document in the system, thereby marking it with an "electronic signature" which can give the document legal force.

  • Contract Release Strategy - Adding New Line

I have a question regarding Contract Release Strategy - How can i force a release reset if a new line is added to the contract. I dont see a field in CEKKO - Any suggestions?

    Hi
Version mangement is activated with Version Zero only. When you select Version 0 Ok
If you have selected this indicator, version '0', which is generated automatically when a purchase requisition or external purchasing document is created, is automatically flagged by the system as Completed.
If version '0' is completed automatically, the system does not check whether the version data includes any mandatory fields.
If you have not selected the indicator, version '0' must be manually flagged as Completed.
Only if this indicator has been selected for the current version:
Can a requisition be converted into a PO (for example)
    Does the release procedure commence
