Contract workflow WS14000088 - BUS2000113 - No receiver entered

Hi Guys
The event trace of contract workflow shows the event status as 'cancelled' with the error 'no reciever entered'. The start conditions are set correctly for WS14000088 with event linkage activated. The responsible agent has been set to a user with contract manager role. There are no possible agents set and the task is marked as general task. The workflow goes into a 'logically deleted' status in the approve task TS14007969. Can you please let me know if any other setting is missing? Any inputs are highly appreciated.

Hi Rajeev,
Please state at which step of the workflow are you getting the error.
One way to analyse could be to check in the workflow log for the step in error and go to the technical details of the step. Check the point at which the error has occured.

I am trying to change an existing workflow(This one has the standard BO- BUS2032 linked). Now I am trying to link the same workflow to a custom BO(ZBUS2032) copied from BUS2032. This custom BO is generated, released, delegated. I have maintained the default values as
Method = DISPLAY and
Attribute = SALESDOCUMENT
Created an entry in SWE2 for ZWBUS2032 with
Object type = ZWBUS2032
EVENT = CREATED
RECEIVER = WS90000014
Receiver call = FM
Receiver FM = SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT
checked the linkage activated checkbox and left the rest AS-IS
In the workflow side,
In the task screen- I added the task number that has (ZBUS2032 and the new method), specified the triggering events and binded, event is green. When I click on Define binding autom. it shows
WIOBJECT_ID = &ZBUS203&
In the actual event
I added the Object type to ZBUS2032 and the event as CREATED, clicked on start condition and specified the SALES document type condition but it doesn't go green.
When I click on the binding, on the right hand side of the new window where the workflow parameters are there, it still shows BUS2032 instead of ZBUS2032
No errors, I activated. When I hit the test, it still shows BUS2032.
When I do the process through front end and check SWEL, it says No receiver entered.
I am new to Workflow. Kindly please advice.

What are you trying to do with the ZBUS2032?
IIf you create a new task that should call a new method (in ZBUS2032), if you enter BUS2032 as object type and then select the method, are you able to see the new method in the selection list? If yes, that would mean that you have delegated the ZBUS2032 properly. (=You have kind of extended the usage of the standard BUS2032 with the new Z-version).
You could also add some new attributes to your ZBUS2032. If you are able to see them in workflow builder or in the workflow log, this would also mean that the delegation has been done properly. (I just hope that you did the subtype in a way that Rick tried to describe).
In general I hope that you have tested your new functionality (method or attribute) directly in SWO1. If it works there, it should then work in the workflow too. I would be interested to know how you came into conclusion that ZBUS2032 is not working as it should? Do you see an error or what?

Contract Approval Workflow - WS14000088

We have an issue wherebay after creating and subsequently approving a contract via WS14000088, the java applet shows the approval as completes but the header status shows the contract as still awaiting approval.
When looking at the container of the workflow, the Approval Status is returning a value of 3 whereas it should be a 0.
Has anyone had this problem before?

Contract workflow - TS10407926

Hallo,
we are using the standard workflow for checking contracts (WS10400022).
The users receive the workitem, but after they display the contract, check it and go back to the inbox, the workitem still remains in their inbox.
What can be done, so that the workitem after displaying the contract disappears?

N level-Approval for contract workflow (WS14000148) in SRM

Hi SDN'rs
I want to activate N level-Approval for contract workflow (WS14000148) in SRM
When I am creating the contract in SRM I can see the approvers in the approval preview.
But when I release the contract and look at the approval privew there are no approvers
and the status of the contract is released.
We are on SRM Server 5.5 and SP 07.
Here what I did
1. I implemented the BADI 'BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI' using the sample implementation and populated the approvers.
2. I activated events SAVED,CHANGEVERSIONSAVED for WS14000148 in OOCU transaction.
3. I see event linkages for WS14000148 for both events SAVED,CHANGEVERSIONSAVED in SWE2 transaction.
4. I assigned role SAP_EC_BBP_PURCHASER to for subworkflow N step for contract WS14000147.
( User who is creating contract has this role)
5. Consistency check for WS14000148 is green and WS14000147 is yellow in SWUD
6. Event simulation for BUS2000113 and events SAVED,CHANGEVERSIONSAVED shows WS14000148 successfully started.
I see dump in ST22 with errors TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED and SYSTEM_NO_SHM_MEMORY with WF-BATCH is this any thing to do with that?
If any one know what are the steps I am missing please let me know.

Conditions for contract workflow approval agent.

Y'all,
I would like to know if its possible to have conditions in the WS14000088 contract workflow to assign the approval agent/user depending on contract values, for example i mean:
"if the contract has an specific value at item level then assign the approval to the business unit manager... or if the contract has an specific value at header level then assign the approval to the category manager..." etc.. etc..
Is it possible? if yes, how do you commit it into the system?

Yes it is possible to have a conditions to assign and determine the approval agents depending on the value of the contract.
Goto tcode SWDD and for the appropriate task in the workflow 'WS14000088' create the condition. The work item for this step can be executed when this condition for work item generation is met. If there is a requested start for this work item, this is checked separately when the condition is met.

The No receiver Entered thing is normally an indication that the linkage between the event and the workflow has been deactivated.

Can't start a 2013 Workflow in an Event Receiver

I am trying to run a SP2013 workflow from an Event Receiver but I get the error "The request was aborted: The request was canceled. Client ActivityId: aec2fc1b-3f33-44d8-85ab-c6c976617b8c" at the point I actually attempt to start the Workflow.
The scenario is as follows. I have 2 lists: List A and List B. Users have permissions to create items in List A but not List B. When users create a new item in List A, a SP2013 workflow runs which then creates a new item in List B. List B should then
run another SP2103 Workflow but because of how SP and workflows work, this second workflow on List B doesn't automatically run. Thus I have created an Item Added Event Receiver on List B that will run the required workflow automatically (at least it should
if it worked!)
I'm sure the problem must be something to do with permissions but nothing I try seems to solve it:
I can't just use the account of the user triggering the event as this user will be the person adding items to List A and they don't have permissions to do anything in List B (thus they cannot see items in list B or start workflows)
I can't run using RunWithElevatedPrivileges as a) I don't think this works well with Event Receivers and b) SP2103 workflows cannot be run using the admin account.
I have tried impersonation with an account specifically set up for running workflows (named mydomain\wssworkflow). This account has full control of the entire site, lists etc. but it still gives the error mentioned above. My code is shown below - the error
occurs on the line:
wfi.StartWorkflowOnListItem(sub, properties.ListItemId, payload);
Any help in working out why this isn't working would be appreciated.

Released Contracts workflow

Hi team,
I have a requirement in SRM 7.02. We are creating contracts and replicating to ECC system via idocs only.
In SRM we are using only Strategic sourcing and contracts only.
I just wanted to know , suppose contract is created in SRM system and for triggering Aprroval WF what are the conditions I can consider?
( customer interested on n level approval. )
Generally for SC, we will check value of SH and account assignement like that for Contracts what would be the conditions for triggering WF??
and one more question is when contract will come into "Released status" means Released contract will trigger approval WF in SRM or approved contract will come into "Released" status and replicate to MM system - Please confirm me.

Hi,
You can trigger contract workflow based on value and in a lot of cases its based on the document type. For example:
Start conditions:
&Purchase Contract.Transaction Type& ZSCH and
&Purchase Contract.Transaction Type& CCTR
While in the SRM application if you go to transaction SWB_COND, you then search for Business Object (in your case contract) and here you can see/maintain the start conditions for each workflow.
In relation to the released status, if the contract goes for approval only after it is completely approved then it will go into Released status.

Weu2019re having an issue in the links send to approver via Workflow email.
The link being sent is as below :

Since the workflow canu2019t send link with more than 120 digits, weu2019re breaking the link into multiple parts.

The mail is defined in HTML.
Our client-(end-user) uses two application for email u2013 Lotus notes and outlook.
The above mentioned link works fine on Lotus notes, but is creating issue when received on Outlook.
Issue :
When the mail is received on outlook u2013 A space is introduced in the link, due to which on clicking of link u2013 nothing opens up.
It seems that when the first line of link is generated a space is introduced after that.
Solutions tried:
Weu2019ve tried to combine 3 variables into 1 and created link with just one line.
But this doesnu2019t seem to be working.
Any pointers towards the solution for Outlook will be really helpful.

a possible solution that we implemented is:
create a method or Function module, by using classes like cl_bcs, cl_document_bcs, to send any kind of email (with any length text, even markup, attachments etc) to outlook (you can see standard program BCS_EXAMPLE_5 for reference).
invoke this function module from within the workflow, instead of using standard "Send Mail" step.

If you have the Rule no, then check the rule using transaction PFAC.
Here you can Debug your rule and you can find the issue.
Also you can simulate the rule using the test data's.

Purchase Order Workflow - dialog step not receiving terminating event

Hi,
We have a scenario wherein based on the release groups and release strategies, different peope need to release the PO's.
I have been able to develop the workflow for this successfully, but here is where I am facing an issue.
After the PO has been created, based on the release group and strategy, it gets routed to the appropriate 1st approver. On their approval, the PO gets routed to the 2nd approver. Once the 2nd approver approves, the dialog step doesnt get completed and is still waiting for the terminating event. Event trace shows that the event is getting published, but there is no workitem to receive the terminating event. I am not sure why this is occuring for only 2nd approver onwards whereas for the 1st approver, the terminating event is received by the workitem.
I am using start conditions for my workflow to ensure only 1 instance of the workflow is triggered for a rel groups and rel strategy and release code, else I am multiple instances each time an approver approves the PO. I am not sure if the start conditions are causing this issue with the terminating events not being received with the workitems.
Any assistance is welcome.

From the information provoided it seems you are using PO that is subjected to Release of PO for multiple Release Code and each Release Code Release is being done by one approver. If that is the case then I think the Terminating event should get caught. Please check whether the Terminating event that is getting triggered is specific to the Release Code or not.

How to create a workflow for e-mail adrress entered in a particular record?

HI Experts,
I have to create a workflow in which a mail is triggered to the e-mail ID entered for the record type "Complaint".
Like, if there is a field called as "E-mail ID of customer" in the Complaint page layout and the user creates a complaint and a workflow is created for WNRS the mail should be triggered to the e-mail address which is mentioned in the field "E-mail ID of customer".
I have tried by using Relative user on record but there is no Option to select that kiind of a field.

You need to choose "Specific Email Address" and over there you can select the field from the Complaint.

As per my understanding we can activate the workflow on any contract attributes/ fields(for central contract) like prices, product category etc.
We can activate u201C1-stepu2019 standard bc set u201C/SAPSRM/C_CT_600_001_SP04u201D and can determined workflow agent based on any attributes like u201CProduct categoriesu201D ,price etc
Or we can use BADI Implementation u201CBADI /SAPSRM/BD_WF_RESP_RESOLVERu201D for Agent determined based on attribute store in customized table
Please correct me if my understanding is wrong
However we need your valuable inputs on below
1) List of central contract ( CCTR ) attributes/fields on which we can activate the workflow.
2) List of central contract ( CCTR ) attributes/fields on which we can activate the workflow without any badi implementation ( without any coding ). As a part of standard configuration.

I suppose you plan to use process controlled workflow.
If yes then you can check the tcode BRF and try to create a expression of type formula interpreter.
In the this expression navigate to formula editor and here you can find all the attritutes you can trigger for any business object.
For agent dertermination SAP has already delivered many agent determination method.. If a process level and click on the F4 feature available for field Resolver Name to find all the predelivered methods.

Contract Workflow problem

Hi Frnds,
I have got a problem with my contract. We have putted certain checks in workflow which doesnt allows the contract to go for aproval until the target value is changed. But what we see is that for a particular contract the workflow is going for approval despite the fact that the target value is not changed.
Can somebody help me in this case.

HI Folks the issue has been resolved . the user was changing the contract under 1 min gap so it was caudsing abnormal behaviour of the contract
