Contracts in R3 are usable in SRM 4.0 ? :-(

Hello,
Easy question for the gurus  =)
Can I have global/local contracts in R3 that are usable in SRM ?   I mean, I want those contract items in my CCM, the end-user makes the SC as always, the purchaser guy creates a PO with this items.  What I am looking for, is if the item is referred to a contract that exists in R3, some fiels should be disabled (display only): like price, vendor, etc.
Is it feasible ?    If yes, how R3 and SRM communicate each other for data exchange ?   Should I need XI or RFC?
Thanks for your help !
Regards from Mexico,
Diego

Diego,
everything is in the post:
- you can extract contracts from R/3 and send them to CCM: build your own R/3 extract tool, and if you use flat files, XML format X or Y, XI or any EAI tool, manual or any other exchange medium, I don't care. Nothing forces you to use XI.
- Search of SOS is the main difference between classic and ECS scenarios. You could assign backend SOS in ECS (via SOS BADI or CHANGE BADI), but as this is not the standard philosophy, you have to test all the flow.
For example, in SRM 5.0, when copying a template, SOS can be reset, and then standard SOS determination will search local SOS in ECS (except if you use BADIs) and you would loose your backend contract reference.

  • What versions of Quark, Illustrator are usable on 10.7

What versions of Quark, Illustrator are usable on 10.7 Also is Lexmark E234 printer usable

Quark XPress 8 will mostly work in Lion and later. That version still has a few parts of it as PowerPC code, but are also functions most people don't use. For full compatibility (all Intel code), you should use at least version 9.
Illustrator CS3 and forward should work. Adobe lists Lion and forward as compatible with the CC version.
According to Lexmark's site, your printer is compatible all the way through Yosemite. Though it also says for Snow Leopard, 10.6.x and newer, you get the drivers through Software Update in OS X rather than from their site.

  • We are using SAP SRM to punch out external catalogs. Firefox version 3.5 and below works fine and the items from the catalogs are brought back to SRM .But when we use version 3.6.12 the items are not getting transferred back to SRM from the Catalogs.

SRM is a procurement system from SAP which we use to purchase goods and service. We have external catalogs like officemax, cdw etc which we punchout the items and bring it to SRM for ordering.
When we use firefox version 3.5 and below the items which we add from the Catalogs are correctly brought back to SRM for us to order. But when we use versions 3.6.12 the items are not brought back to SRM.
Internet Explorer 7 and 8 works fine. Is there anyway you can help us.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Firstly I would suggest you to upgrade your database from Oracle Release 11.2.0.1.0 to Oracle Release 11.2.0.2 . This is the recommended Oracle 11g database version  for SAP solutions. Many of your problem will get resolved with it.
    Question 1:
So my first question would be is there any other suggestions besides adjusting the mentioned parameter above in order to ensure that no work processors going into hang state due to RFCs' occupying it as this issue always happens at the end of the month only when there are massive users accessing it.
For immediate resolution the approach you have followed is correct viz limiting number of dialog processes for RFC. Secondly you need to analyze why RFC processing takes so much time. You need check which programs are getting executed by those RFC.
Generate EarlyWatch report for more detailed view
    Question 2:
My second question is what went wrong with the libttsh11.so file. How could it be 0 size in PRD when no signs of changes had happen to the PRD system. Is this a proven Oracle Bug or something else since I have never encountered anything like this before.
The libttsh11.so library cannot be found in the related directory.
    Cause
The file system is mounted using CIO option, but per Note 257338.1 Direct I/O (DIO) and Concurrent I/O (CIO) on AIX 5L, an ORACLE_HOME on a filesystem mounted with "cio" option is not supported.
Such a configuration will cause, installation, relinking and other unexpected problems.
    Solution
Disable the CIO option on the filesystem.

  • Direct contract in the backend - Classic Scenery SRM 7.0

    Hi Masters,
I´m using SRM 7.0 Package 08 in the classic scenery.
I´m trying to create a direct contract of a QUOT acepted and that need to go to the backend.
    I´m using two badis:
    BBP_DETERMINE_LOGSYS
Where the variable CV_LOGSYS is with the system backend destiny
    BBP_CTR_BE_CREATE
Where the variable IV_LOGICAL_SYSTEM is with the system backend destiny.
Where the variable CV_USER is with the user RFC.
    The result is generating myself a message: " CONTRACT 4400000041 - WAS CREATED " (/SAPSRM/PDO_WKL455 BPP_PD455)
But that contract is not available in SRM and it is not also available in ECC.
    I forgetting something?
    Thank you,
    Pedro Marques

I believe that it exists yes possibility, as well as it comments on the text of the badi:
    Use
With Business Add-In BBP_CTR_BE_CREATE, you can replace or supplement existing contract data in SAP Enterprise Buyer with your own backend structures and tables.
Enterprise Buyer calls this BAdI before it makes the RFC to the backend system to create a contract.
    Activities
Implement and activate the BAdI if you wish to create contracts in the backend system and replace or supplement contract data.
    Anybody have some idea?
    Thanks,

  • Migration Tool for Contract & PO from R/3 to SRM 5.0

    Hi gurus,
I'm working on an implementation of SAP SRM 5.0 for the following scenario:
    - Plan driven
    - Contract Management
    - Order Management
We actually have 2 R/3 system. We want to migrate contract and PO from this system to SRM and then manage contract & PO into SRM. Following changes on these documents became possible only on SRM. But we want to distribute these changes and new documents from SRM to R/3 systems, working with extended classic scenario (for contract we want to use GOA contract).
Moreover we have another activity to do few months after go-live. In fact we need to close 2 R/3 system and to switch to one new ECC system, in wich we have to migrate existing documents. So we have to convert on these documents organizational structures, vendors, back-end systems and so on...
Have somenone any idea to do it? There is a SAP tool?
    Thank you in advance.
    Best Regards

    Marco,
    ever heard of report BBP_CONTRACT_INITIAL_UPLOAD?
    Excerpt from the initial comment...
    *Purpose:
*This program can be used to upload contracts from ERP to SRM. A
*separate contract in SRM would be created for each successfully
*transfrred ERP contract. Also the list of all the successfully
*transfrred contracts would be maintained in SRM.
    Hope this helps,

  • Create Contract with reference to SC in SRM 7.0

    Hi Experts,
We use SRM 7.0, ECS scenario.
Is that possible to add a new item with reference to SC in contract maintanence screen? Just like adding a new item 'from an old sc' in PO maintanenc screen.
Is there any configuration related about it? Or is it related with patch levels?
    Many thanks.

    Hi Masa,
The problem is caused by patch level. After applied note1334803 we fixed the problem.
Thanks all the same and I'll forward the point to you:)

  • So, my upgrade date and contract end dates are the same?

What exactly does this mean? This was my first contract phone and it ends on 9/11/14. My upgrade date is also 9/11/14. Does this mean I HAVE to go pick out new phones and sign a new contract on that exact date? It seems they'd give you a range of dates so you could do it a little early, before your contract really ends. What happens if I don't make it there on 9/11? My service will be turned off?

The upgrade date isn't for one specific date, but for that date onward. You're not required to upgrade. If you choose not to, your account will remain active on a month-to-month basis.

  • None of the system accounts are usable.

We have a client in our test system where the ddic account password has been forgotten.  In addition, the other user admin account is locked due to also forgetting their password.  As was SAP*.
So, I used the option to delete the sap* from the usr02 table, and set the parm in the instance profile to allow the hard coded sap* account.
I can now login using the sap*, but it has no authorization to unlock those locked accounts, or reset passwords, or create an account.
We are now at a point where we do not have admin access to that client to address the issue.  Is there something I'm missing?  Why does the sap* not have auth to unlock or reset passwords?  This is all I'd need to get one of the admin accounts back so we can then address the other locked accounts.
    Your suggestions?
    Thanks
    Laurie McGinley

    Thank-you for your responses.
This is a ECC5 system.  It is the QA system, the client is our 110 client.
We are using CUA on our Solution Manager to manage most clients user access.  the QA:110 client is one of the systems defined to CUA.
I used the procedure to delete the sap* from the database table usr02 and set the login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0 then restarted the QA system.
I can use sap* to log in, but many options, such as create accounts, change passwords, are grayed out.
I've also tried the option to reset the lock flag to 0.  The problem is, no one remembers their password!
I'm beginning to wonder if there isn't something associated with the CUA that is causing the sap* not to have all the access needed.
There seems to be somehting odd with that system in the CUA as we can add users, but cannot add roles to users.  No roles are presented from the select list for that system.  Which is odd, because they do exist in the system.
Again, this is now a rarely used client.  I'm wondering if something with the CUA was changed/broken for that client, but since it isn't used we didn't pick up on it.  And that is causing the issue with the hard coded sap*.
Thanks again for your input so far.  Still searching for an answer.
    Laurie

  • I have 16gb of RAM, but only 10gb are usable?

    Hello everyone,
I have a Mid 2012 15" Macbook Pro running Yosemite. When I first got it, I upgraded to 16gb of 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM because I would be needing it for a lot of the programs I run. I have the 2.3 GHz i7 processor. Stock 500gb hard drive. No matter what I do it says that I have at max 10 gb available at a time. Here is what it says as of 5 minutes ago:
    App Memory: 3.38 gb
    File Cache: 1.8 gb
    Wired:1.42 gb
    Compressed: 10.23 mb
    Used: 6.63 gb
    Total: 16.00 gb
One thing That I knew was taking some was VMware fusion, for which I dedicated 2 gb to the virtual machine, but I recently deleted it and I didn't see any difference. I also have bootcamp installed, but that shouldn't make much of a difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • CS5 won't update. Tells me my serial number is incorrect but all programs still function and are usable.

I have a copy of CS5 Production Premium. It installs and works properly with the serial number I have. The issue is when I try and update the software with a normal update. The update fails for every application and tells me there was an error. Upon clicking "Contact customer support" it tells me, "This serial number is not for a qualifying product." I then try the things suggested in the customer support section, and guess what? Still nothing.
    So yeah.

For serial number issues, you need to use Web Chat. Link here:

  • SRM 7.0 Central Contracts Migration from ECC existing contracts

    Hi colleagues
We are facing the implementation of SRM 7.0 in a client who has ECC installed and we have a doubt with contract migration
We are considering using SRM Central Contracts in order to get them replicated on ECC
All the contracts "alive" that exist in ECC should be created on SRM as central Contracts. The problem is that when you create a SRM central contract the system will replicate it to ECC ... in that case we will have the same contract twice on ECC
    Does anybody face this situation?
I figure out that if at the moment we are creating SRM central contracts we turn off XI/PI the system would not replicate the contract to ECC but I think it would return an error without creating the contract on SRM... and even if we managed to create the central contracts in SRM without replicating them to ECC we would have the problem that both contracts wouldn´t be linked
We can´t consider the solution to be creating those contracts on SRM as SRM local contracts because we need to follow contract cicle in SRM after migration
Could anybody help me out with these?
    Thanks
    Regards

    Hello,
You can upload contracts from ECC to SRM using report BBP_CONTRACT_INITIAL_UPLOAD in SRM.
If you want take care of document type mappings/ Condition type mappings, use badi BBP_CTR_INIT_UP in SRM.
    Thanks,
    Sushil.
