Contractual User Type: 11 Multi-Client/System

Hi,
In BW 3.5 we had option to select Contractual User Type: 11 Multi-Client/System under Licence Data of Users.
However, in BI 7.0, we do not see option 11 Multi-Client/System at all.
Can you please advise, why this is not there? Is it replaced by some other type?
Best Regards,
UR

Hello,
you can select the available license types in transaction USMM (Tab User types). Check before you use license type 11 if there is only the need for it. In general you don't need license type 11 in a common SAP environment.

  • Is there a way to Default the Contractual User Type in Licence tab in SU01.

    Hi Guys,
Is there any way to Default the Contractual User Type in Licence tab while creating users in SU01 to a specific value. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Naveen

Naveen, though you marked the question as answered, there is another alternative (needs change mgmt involved)-
1.Go to the field where you want the parameter ID to appear.
2.Go to the technical help for the field.  In this case the Contractual User Type field.
3.Double click on the Screen data screen number (0112).
4.Click on the Element list tab and look for the screen field (from previous page).  It is important that you find the entry with a type of I/0 not Text (US930-USERTYP).
5.When you find the entry click the special attributes tab.  There are two columns on the right hand side ‘GET Parameter’ and Parameter.  The GET column needs to be selected for the parameter ID to be active.
6.Note if you change a field it is important to activate the change in addition to saving or the change will not take effect.
7.Probably you would like to make this change in the development system and move transport to other systems.
After this you have to set this parameter in your user master to the required value.

  • Contractual User Type ID Data

Where is the "contractual user type id" field data stored in SAP. (found on the SU01-Display User transaction under the tab LicenceData)?
I need to retrieve and update the data for users.
    Thanks.

If you are trying to find out data from USER name, then goto USR06 table, there you can find all the additional data

  • How to get the system property - user.name from a client system

    Hi All,
I have an application which would enable active users from the domain of the company. I want to get the name of the client from the system. I tried to run it on the local machine from Jdeveloper, it returned me the correct user name. But when the application is deployed on the Oracle Application server, and i hit the URL of the application, it returns the server URL.
I understand that the JSP works on the server side here but help me out to get a solution. I want to read the user name from the client side.
    Thanks in advance!
    Akhil

    Akhil,
I hope this will never work. Think about your requirement for a second....
This would mean an application is able to see my user credentials without my knowledge. It's bad enough the know my IP if I'm not using TOR.
To get your requirement to work you have to redefine it a bit. The user have to log in to your application. The application holds the name together with an ID of the session to know the user in further requests.
Thats a basic security theme, described in the dos [Adding Security to a Fusion Web Application|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/adding_security.htm] .

  • Set "Contractual User Type" when creating user in AS ABAP

    Hello
For our productive landscape we use "mySAP ESS" user-types, see "Licence Data" in SU01 or table TUTYP.
In IdM 7.1 SP3 I have not seen any option for reading or setting these kind of values.
Is there any way to use this parameter in IdM? How?
Will it be implemented in future releases?
    Regards
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
    The connector supports this setting:
Just uppdate the configuration with these attributes, and valid values.
(This sample is from a toSAP-pass)
    # UClassLicType                  %MX_LICENSEDATA_LIC_TYPE%
    # UClassSpecVers                 %MX_LICENSEDATA_SPEC_VERS%
    # UClassCountrySurcharge         %MX_LICENSEDATA_COUNTRY_SURCHARGE%
    # UClassSubstituteFrom           %MX_LICENSEDATA_SUBSTITUTE_FROM%
    # UClassSubstituteUntil          %MX_LICENSEDATA_SUBSTITUTE_UNTIL%

  • Transaction Launcher for Multi Client system

    Hi Gurus,
I need a very big help. This is my problem:
The CRM system on which I'm currently working has two client 1 and 2 and the second one
is closed to customizing, so that all the settings we can make are on
    1. When we create a transaction laucher object, by
transaction CRMC_UI_ACTIONWZ, we got the following error: "An RFC
destination could not be specified for the logical system 2" (even if the connection are all set up)
and if we set it from 2 at the end of the process we get the
following message: "Client 2 has status not modifiable".
In this way both on client 1 and 2 we´re able to execute only
    transactions of client 1.
All the settings have been done according to the official SAP guide.
Since on SAP guides there are no information about how set up the
transaction laucher in a similar situation, how can we solve this issue?
Please, reply as soon as possible.
    Thanks a lot,
    A.G.

    Hi Helmut,
well I am also not sure what they did, but anyway, from the beginning on bw is designed to have only one client to work in. Technically I believe that all of the 'BW-Tables' storing the BW metadata don't have a client field. So how will you separate developments of different clients?

  • User Type (Dialog , Communication etc) can impact on SAP User Licensing

    Dear Expert,
The User Type (Dialog, Communication, System etc) can impact on SAP User Licensing.
Suppose if I craete a user type other than DIALOG such as SYSTEM or COMMUNICATION etc; will this be counted as License User. Or only DIALOG users are paid license users.
    Kindly advice.
    Regards
    AJ

    Thanks Uday and Nagendra...
    Dear Nagendra,
with reference to below sentense from your referred link
    " Consolidating Contractual User Types
    Use
With this procedure, you consolidate the contractual user types of the individual users. The LAW takes account of the fact that certain contractual user types are already contained in others. In this way, license costs are only incurred for the inclusive user types of the user."
When I go User Classification Display screen, under Contractual User Type column all my 150 users are marked "Operational" but for those which I defined as System / Communication User are defined any contractual user type.
    What does it mean??
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Provisioning license type to ABAP target systems

    Hello there,
I've checked the configuration guide and it seems like there is no official support for the provisioning of license type to users in ABAP target systems. However, the BAPI BAPI_USER_CREATE1 which I believe is the one called by the java connector does support it, so is there a way to make this work?
    Best regards,
    Anders

    Hello Anders
Matt from SAP posted an answer some time ago.

  • RFC User Type

    Hi
    Calling gurus.
When gererating RFC users for the READ and TMW rfc's in Solution Manager users gets generated, and I know the user type is Communication user, however should you be forced to have to create your own users to use within this rfc would it be best to stick to communication user type, or could a system user type be used.
It is my understanding that logon via read rfc should not be allowed as it could be a security risk.
If I am on the wron track please enlighten me or point me towards a conclusive best practice regarding this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello again Paul,
    1.-
At the same 2008 manual "Activating the SAP EarlyWatch Alert on Solution Manager 7.0" yo can see on page 11 this:
...A working dialog connection such as *TRUSTED or LOGIN. Once the *BACK destination is created, these can be deleted again...
This prerequisites are need for the creation ob RFC "_BACK" on remote system, but for remote call of sdccn the prerequisites on Page 15 are not enough !!!
If you want to call remotely sdccn from solution manager you need a dialog trusted connection.
I have just tested on our solution manager 5 minutes ago, you are invited to our solution manager if you want to check it.
    2.-
    What about this:
My question is, Will take into account SAP this users for the "SAP Security user audit" ?

  • Access to Oracle Database by a specific user from a client system.

    Hi All,
I need to restrict a particular client system to access the database only by a specific user credentials. I mean system A(hostname) can only connect the database PQR only and only by user U123. Any help is sincerely appreciated.
    Regards
    Swapan

    Hi,
I solved it by a trigger at logon on V$SESSION which validates MACHINE like [HOSTNAME] and username not like [the_user_I_would_allow].
    It works now.
    Thanks for your reply.

  • Provisioning different User Type to different systems

    Dear Experts,
Is there a way by which we can provision different user types to defferent systems via CUP?
    We have the following requirement:
    1. User created in ECC should be dialog user
    2. User created in BW should be service user
    3. User always selects ECC and BW at the same time in one request
    Thanks for your attention.

    Hi Tang,
You can try this with creating 2 different  custom field or 2 unused field in end user form like employee type and some other field. Then you need to define provisioning field mapping for both of these system differently.
Like you created 2 fields EEC_USER_TYPE  & BW_User_TYPE then while making provisioning field mapping you need to create 2 different group. EEC_Mapping and BW MApping and map the respective custom field with Provisioning field mapping group.
I hope this will help you.

  • Portal System Object - ABAP User Type?

    Hi
I've created a System Object, which will be used to connect to a NW '04 system. I'm using UIDPW as the Logon Method, and have defined the relevant user mappings.
When I test the connection using a normal Dialog user in the ABAP backend, everything works perfectly. However, when I use a Communication user, the connection test fails.
Does anyone have any suggestions on getting the connection to work with a Communication user? What is the recommended ABAP user type for backend connections? I assume Communication user is recommended, as this doesn't allow dialog login, etc.
    Thanks
    Stuart

Having done further investigation, it seems the problem is not with the user type. I'm able to connect when assigning the SAP_ALL profile to my Communications user (which I obviously don't want).
What permissions must I assign to this user to allow it to log in? All I've done so far is assign permissions on the S_RFC authorisation object to allow RFC calls to my function group.
Do I need to assign additional login permissions?

  • RFC USER USER TYPE- SYSTEM/SERVICE?

    Hi,
We are using CTP method of GATP.
Currently our user type for RFCUSER (Usermentioned in rfc destination) is service? It allows dialog mode this is security concern for us as RFC USER as all authorisations.
When we changed it to system user it is giving error while triggering GATP. Also there is dump in SCM system with message
    "DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND"
    "/SAPAPO/SAPLATP4" or " "
    "SYSTEM-EXIT".
    pls. suggest solution
    Regards,
    Santosh

    Hi,
This info i took it from help library.
If you want the ATP check to be performed in SAP APO but triggered from SAP R/3, make sure when
defining the RFC connection of the SAP APO system in SAP R/3 that you use a user ID for the SAP APO
system that was created there as a dialog user.
    Thanks,

  • System measurement user types

while running transaction usmm for system measurement i noticed i get
    results regrading 3 kinds of users - professional,limited pro,employee.
according to which principle the clasification to user types is made? -
in other words can i move user from one clasification to another
(professional to limited pro for example) or is it related to
    rolesgiven to each user?.

    Hello Moshe,
    I don't get you. What's your problem?
    User types are for pricing.
So every user type stands for a different fee you have to pay to SAP.
An user who only want to see data is cheaper than an user who want to change data.
When you do a system measurement and send the data to SAP, then they can evaluate the users with a certain user type and compute the fee for your user licenses.
    Regards, Michael
p.S.: I never mentioned a test user type
