Contribute 6.5 start page not showing connections

I am using Contribute 6.5. When I opened the program today, none of my connections are showing on the start page. However, they do appear in the drop down list under home pages. My clients are reporting the same phenomenon. Any idea what might be going on?

Site Connections Not Showing up on Contribute 6.5 Start Page

We just upgraded to Contribute 6.5 and none of my site connections show up on the Start page. I've seen this same post from two years ago and it was unanswered. Was this feature removed from 6.5? If that's the case, why is the Site Connections box still displayed on the start page, just now connections? Please help.

Do you have Internet Explorer 11? If so, it's a known issue that your site links may or may not show up.
In the meantime, you should be able to access them under the "Home pages" menu.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

IWeb Main Page Not Showing

I've researched to death and tried everything but can't fix this.
Recently did a clean install on my iMac and since then iWeb won't work.
I have :
- Reinstalled from original disc then updated to latest version 3.0.4
- Deleted the com.apple.iWeb.plist file and com.apple.iWeb Cache Folder, restarted, and tried opening again
- I have removed my domain.sites2 file to try and open iWeb and initiate making a new site
iWeb is fully loaded and operational - in Activity Monitor it does not have a red flag - shows as being operational. I can access iWeb's Preferences, open and close various Inspectors, but the main window is simply not visible.
I am on Lion 10.7.2
I had updated my website using iWeb while on Lion 10.7.1
I have a small business and my website is outdated and will be losing me new customers at this point who will think I don't have the latest stock and information.
Any help appreciated - naturally no need to reply if 'fixes' are as per other posts and noted as having been tried above.

Where is the main page not showing? In iWeb or online?
In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
For opening your domain file in Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.

Start page not working

Hi,
I'm sure this question has been asked many times before but we're having a LOT of trouble getting the home/start page to show up. The domain is: http://www.isaybyebye.com The system/secure URL is working perfectly fine: http://isaybyebye.businesscatalyst.com/
We've set the start page via the Manage Domain Name tab and also on the home page itself (index.htm).
Can someone PLEASE help?

Hi Jason, looking at your domain IP, the BC site is hosted on 192.150.2.140 (US Data centre whereas your www.isaybyebye.com is pointing to 192.150.8.140 which is the europe data centre. Looks like the site is hosted on the US Data centre so amend the DNS settings for www.isaybyebye.com to point to 192.150.2.140.

What have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting this issue? Are you plugging the iPod into a high powered USB 2.0 port on the back of your PC? Have you tried a different USB cable?
What happens if you try to reset the device with it still connected to the PC?

When I click on the Moilla button on my desktop, the firefox start page that shows up has no Mozilla button to access print, history. options etc., it just says mozilla firefox start page at the top. rt page tc.

When I click on the Mozilla icon on my desktop, a mozilla firefox startpage come up that has NO mozilla button to click and access print, history, options etc. Also the whole page automatically shifts down slightly to show only google question box and no address bar. Also, there used to be a place where I could click on most accessed pages, but that disappeared a couple of weeks ago. I have an HP computer and never know what the start page will look like.

Did you recently upgrade Firefox? I would be willing to be that everything is still there, it's just hidden. Take a look [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/common-questions-after-upgrading-firefox-36 this article]. It will give you some tips on how to bring back any of the options you might not see.

Some Photo Pages not showing no matter the browser

I'm using iWeb '08 and have 2 separate sites. I noticed last night that, only on one of the sites, the photo pages are not showing the photos. Yet, on the other site, the photo pages are fine. It's really weird.
Anybody have any thoughts?
BTW, I tried to view them in both Safari and FF.

Are those 3 pages constructed like the other with photos placed on the page rather than a photos page with a slideshow? Those three pages don't show the photos being uploaded. They are not listed as missing, just not included on the page (go to Window->Activity menu option). In the sites that do display correctly the photos are listed as shapeimage_3.png or something like that.
You might try republishing the entire site to see if that will jump start those three pages.

what url do you use? And what port? I use (for BI answer) http://obiee-vm:7001/analytics. Port *7001* not 9001. It works for everything. http://obiee-vm:7001/em and so on.

Start Page not displaying

I created a website in muse, I'm using business catalyst as the host ......when I type in my website on my browser it says "no start page" -I have to set one of my pages to be the start page- which I did one of my web pages is labelled as "start page'. Under the site domains tab I set my default start page .... I I went on the manage page also and selected my start page and set it as the default start page but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am having issues with parts of my Facebook news page not showing and games not running.

For the last three days, I have been having issues running Facebook on Firefox. First, the side panels on the news page are not showing, which means I cannot connect to games like Farmville or Bejeweled Blitz. Those side panels were showing the previous two days, but when trying to connect, I had a message about the secure setting and I would get the message "you are no longer logged onto FB, connect to FB to play".

Try clearing cache and cookies. Next make sure your plug-ins are up to date. If both do not resolve you issue try [[Safe mode]]

Macbook Pro only get IIS7 start page not start page on Sharepoint

We have a SharePoint 2010 environment in our house. Mostly used for Intranet. We allso have all on Windows 7 and other Microsoft products.

But we have 2 macs, and they cannot connect to the intranett.
I have edit the host on the Macbook Pro to 11.11.11.11 intranet.domain.local
I have allso used the FQDN intranet.domain.local in Safari, but I only get the IIS7 start page / logo.
What am I doing wrong J

pointed the intranet.domain.local name to the same IP address as your DNS entry is correct.

My Lacie Big Extreme Hard drive does not show connection speed

*My Concern*
Hi I have a Lacie Big Extreme Hard drive, which although works fine is not showing its connection, shows up in the system profiler as 'Connection Speed Unknown'. -Should I be worried? I have other drives connected to my G5 Dual 2 gig machine and no problem their they all show their connection speeds.
*Other Firewire 'Unknown Speed connection' related Problem*
I had a DVD LaCie Dual layer portable Firewire drive which recently suffered from the same problem and I had to send it back. This was due to it slowly developing a fault of not being able to burn dual layer disks properly.
*What I have done to try and remedy the situation.*
I have been able to do the following but I am afraid with no change in the system Profiler;-
1 Trashed the whole system and rebuild
2 repair my permissions
3 empty out all my caches with OnyX (third party app) version 1.8.5
4 Disconnected all drives and reconnected them one by one to see if there are any anomalies within the system
5 switched my G5 off removed the plug from the wall waited 30 sec for it to reset itself this was the 1st attempt. On my 2nd attempt I then cold booted the machine and reset Pram settings
6 used Tech Tools Pro 4 version 4.1.2
7. Replaced Power supply of the offending unit (didn't have to but I wanted to be safe and eliminate this fronm the equation.
9.tried changing around the order in the chain to which the drives were connected to the G5but alas no joy!
Summery
So my concern is if a device which is Firewire shows up in the system profiler as connection speed unknown should I begin to worry even though it appears to be functioning.

The Lacie Big disk has 800/400 Firewire connection speeds I have connected it straight to my G5s firewire 800 port then daisy chained the LaCie's via its other 800 port to the two other 800 Firewire Hard drives.

I was using Time machine to back up on the old lacie drives that I have - I just backed up on both lacies and they backed up faster for some reason but that might have been because they were very small back ups as I did full back ups on Tuesday night - this is the info under the USB section > hardware > about my mac - it didn't show the speed like the example you gave me though but it still backed none the less :

Thank you for contacting Western Digital Customer Service and Support. My name is James.
If the drive is working fine on one system but failing on another especially with the "clicking" sound this is an issue with the system not being able to supply enough power to power the device.
These devices require power from the machine to make them operate if there isn't enough power supplied the drive will fail to work. This is why you are having no issues with one system but are on another.
