Contribute not dropping old URL

Hey all,
I am having an issue with Contribute CS3 that i have been
unable to solve.
It should be a simple fix but in this case it does not seem
to be.
I have a website that used to sit on a certain URL, let's say
www.developmentserver.ie/mycustomer.
I had contribute pointing to this site in order to test it's
operation with the new website.
Now the website is live and has been moved to its new
location at www.mycustomer.com.
However when i remove the old connection from the 'My
Connections' panel and then add it with the new credentials
Contribute points it to the original url of
www.developmentserver.ie/mycustomer. At no point during the
configuration of the new connection did i enter that URL.
Please note that i have completely removed the original
website from the My Connections panel and have even tried shutting
down and restarting both the application and my computer itself.
What happens is that when i click on my homepage connection
that should hold the correct ftp info i get taken to the original
development server even though it has no connection details for
this version of the website anymore and even if i wanted to the
'edit' button is greyed out in favour of the 'connect' button.
When i type the correct url directly into the URL bar i do
get taken to the correct website and i am able to edit it.
I need for the homepage link to point to the correct URL.
I have tried amending the registry entry but the information
contained there is correct and it does point to the correct site.
If anyone could help me with this i'd be grateful.
Thanks.

I think the thing you should check is the homepage defined in
your role.
1. in the main menu go to >Edit>Administer websites
2. go to Users and Roles
3. pick your role and click 'Edit Role Settings'
4. in this screen find 'Home page for users in this role' and
chage that to the proper url

  • Drag and drop a URL from IE's address bar

    I have a Processing application written (by others) that uses [Andreas Schlagel's sDrop library|http://www.sojamo.de/libraries/drop/] to accept URLs dragged and dropped from the users' browsers' address bar. The application works fine for Chrome and for Firefox and for old versions of IE but not for IE 9 or IE 10. I'm investigating how to fix this.
    In the sDrop library [the Java code to handle the drop|http://code.google.com/p/sojamo/source/browse/trunk/src/sojamo/drop/DropHandler.java] uses the Java class DataFlavor which in turn defines a number of flavours:
    imageFlavor
    javaFileListFlavor
    javaSerializedObjectMimeType
    plainTextFlavor (deprecated)
    stringFlavor
    Over on StackOverflow one questioner enumerates the data formats offered by the different browsers when they drop and for IE he lists:
    UntrustedDragDrop
    msSourceUrl
    FileGroupDescriptor
    FileGroupDescriptorW
    FileContents
    UniformResourceLocator
    Effects: Link
    The URL format does not seem to match the DataFlavors given by the class. Is this where the two additional DataFlavors, javaJVMLocalObjectMimeType and javaRemoteObjectMimeType come into there own? If so, then can someone point me at any samples, examples, tutorials, or code snippets where a Java application is the successful drop target for a URL dragged from IE's address bar?

    Dragging an URL '''OR''' the 'favicon' does '''NOT''' work when you want to drag this to a sub 'folder' in your bookmarks. e.g. I drag an URL or favicon to Bookmarks, I have a sub-folder called 'Recipes' where I want to drop the dragged object. I position the mouse over 'Recipes' and the sub-menu appears. I move the dragged object to drop this on the recipe list in the sub-menu and the sub-menu simply disappears. Equally, I CAN drop this on the top level BM menu but it does not drop in the place needed (I want this (e.g.) NOT at the bottom but two up from there. What happens is that the dropped URL appears to locate it self in a random position. Easy to replicate by dragging the same URL to the BM menu and it drops wherever it feels like. FF team have clearly failed to do some basic testing on this and there are many (correction MANY) other annoying things like this that show there has been poor or insufficient testing. I have been a fan of FF for a long time and recommended it to others. Now I cannot do this with confidence and am seriously thinking of switching back to an old version. However, I might simply go to Chrome. Are you listening FF team? A simple look at the forums will show the groundswell of annoyed people. You have altered the way many things work, seemingly focusing on prettifying things rather than ensuring stability and ensuring basic features continue to work...

  • Why is it that now, when I click on a link for a website I've saved, it does NOT show the URL in the address bar? I can't drag it to an email to share the link.

    Why is it that in these newer versions of Firefox (I have 21.0), when I open a link that I've saved, it does NOT display the URL in the address bar any more?
    I can't drag and drop the link into an email, and I can't see the actual web address I'm connected to for reference OR for security purposes. Why was this changed?
    It becomes necessary to reveal the properties of the URL link I've saved, using the Windows "Properties", then copying and pasting the URL into the Firefox address bar, before I can do anything with it.

    No changes have been made and no problem with extensions has interfered with the URL appearing in Firefox before. Only with the last few new versions of Firefox has this cropped up. Also, the link opens correctly - it just doesn't display the URL in the address bar, instead it just reads (in gray) "Search or enter address." How could another extension interfere if Firefox is the sole program associated with .htm, .html files?

  • Is it possible to change the URL of an iTunes Podcast page itself (NOT the Feed URL)?

    My company has an usual question:
    While keeping all the individual podcasts the same, and the subject matter of the whole podcast series the same, my company would like to change the URL that Apple iTunes has assigned us.  Is this possible, and how can it be done?
    Again, I am talking about the URL that Apple iTunes has assigned us.  The one that begins:
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/career-...
    We are having a small change in marketing emphasis.  So my company wants to change one of the dashed English words in the URL, after:
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/
    These English words were based on the original title of our podcast.  The original title of our podcast has changed slightly, with no problem.  Now my company just wants to change the URL assigned to us by Apple.
    Let me emphasize: There is no purpose of misdirection, evasion, or deceit here -- not in the slightest.  My company is simply taking a different marketing angle.  Our category is staying the same.  The podcasts themselves are staying the same.  My company would just like to update the URL assigned to us by Apple to reflect our new podcast series name.
    ALSO:
    We are a category-leading, very popular podcast.  If we do change our iTunes podcast URL, we do not at all want to jeopardize our leading status in our podcast subject category.  We want all our download stats to move with us over to the new URL.  This is extremely important to us.
    AND FURTHER:
    If we do change our iTunes podcast URL, we want all our listeners to automatically find us at the new URL.  We don't want any of them to lose their subscription because we changed our URL.
    So in summary:
    1. CAN we change our podcast URL (the one assigned to us by iTunes)?
    2. Can we change the URL, but still keep our category-leading position and stats, exaclty as they are now?  That is, will our old download stats move with us to the new URL, so we can retain our category-leading position?
    3. Will podcast listeners going to the old URL automatically be forwarded to the new URL?  Might any of our current listeners become unsubscribed as a result of the URL change?
    I know this is an unusual, complicated, and multi-part question.  I am looking for definitive, authoritative answers to all these questions.
    Thank you very much for your help!!
    David

    You can omit the title altogether in the URL (together with the succeeding slash, of course). For example, my own podcast URL in the Store is
    https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-sound-of-78s/id166389425?mt=2
    but this works perfectly well:
    https://itunes.apple.com/podcast/id166389425
    Indeed you can even put your own title:
    https://itunes.apple.com/podcast/any_old_title/id166389425
    So it's as simple as that!

  • HT4044 Part of my iPad(1st gen) screen display does not show,hence I can only see it partially.It was not dropped and neither is it broken. Any help as I was told it cant be fixed and i hv 2 replace with a new unit i.e. pay in full as warranty is over? HE

    Part of my iPad screen display does not show. It was not dropped and neither is the screen broken. I was advised to see the local service provider for a diagnosis.
    I had finally managed to find time to find a local service provider last week (not easy) and was disappointed to be advised of Apple's policy of one for one exchange i.e. they wont repair and said that i would have to replace with a whole unit. As my unit is no longer under warranty, it meant that I had to pay for the full price of a new unit!
    I might as well have paid for the latest new unit but since my unit is only 2 years old at most, it would be a great waste of money.
    How can this be? Does this mean apple's product is inferior and do not last since warranty is only for one year?
    I sincerely hope there is a favourable solution otherwse my money is flushed down the drain.
    HELP!!!

    I was using my iPad last night, shut the power off and when I turned it on this morning 2/3 of the screen is not working.  It looks like the pandalela picture. What is the answer to fix this; is this a screen issue or and electronics issues.  Has anybody else experienced this?

  • Drop an URL on a InDesign document from a Flex panel

    Hi Everyone,
    I have a Flex panel, in InDesign, from which I drag an URL. If I drop this URL on a text editor or a web browser, it works. But when I try to drop it on my InDesign document, it's a little bit harder.
    I have implemented a subclass of CDragDropTargetFlavorHelper. The drop works perfectly on Windows. But on mac, I have problems in the method CouldAcceptTypes :
    DragDrop::TargetResponse
    AutocatDNDCustomFlavorHelper::CouldAcceptTypes(const IDragDropTarget* target, DataObjectIterator* dataIter, const IDragDropSource* fromSource, const IDragDropController* controller) const
                   if (0 != dataIter && 0 != target)
                DataExchangeResponse response = dataIter->FlavorExistsWithPriorityInAllObjects(kURLDExternalFlavor);
                                  if (response.CanDo())
    The problem is that response.canDo() answers kTrue on Windows, but kFalse on Mac. I tried to explore the content of dataIter, but a call on dataIter->First() returns nil. I tried a controller->GetItemCount(), which returns 1. But if I try a controller->GetDragItem(1), I get a nil pointer. I have the impress there is no item.  Though, the drop works on another app than InDesign, as I said.
    Is it a problem of internalization ? Or something else ? It let me dry.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    I solved this problem, but discovered another one. The flavor sent by the flex panel has been changed, so that it's a text flavor instead of an URL flavor. My method couldAcceptType works now :
    DragDrop::TargetResponse
    AutocatDNDCustomFlavorHelper::CouldAcceptTypes(const IDragDropTarget* target, DataObjectIterator* dataIter, const IDragDropSource* fromSource, const IDragDropController* controller) const
         if (0 != dataIter && 0 != target)
              // Check for URL Flavor in the drag
              DataExchangeResponse response = dataIter->FlavorExistsWithPriorityInAllObjects(kTEXTExternalFlavor);
                   if (response.CanDo())
                        return DragDrop::TargetResponse(response, DragDrop::kDropWillCopy);
         return DragDrop::kWontAcceptTargetResponse;
    The problem is now in the ProcessDragDropCommand method. Here is the code :
    ErrorCode AutocatDNDCustomFlavorHelper::ProcessDragDropCommand(IDragDropTarget*                               target, IDragDropController* controller, DragDrop::eCommandType                    action)
           // retrieve drop data
                   IPMDataObject* dragDataObject = controller->GetDragItem(1);
                   uint32 dataSize = dragDataObject->GetSizeOfFlavorData(kTEXTExternalFlavor) ;
    The problem is the IMPDataObject I get is nil. There is no item in the controller. However, there were items in the CouldAcceptTypes method, in the DataObjectIterator. So, where are my items ?
    I tried using a custom CDataExchangeHandlerFor, but could not really understand what its usage was for. It didn't work anyway.
    Has anyone an idea ?

    Rémi

  • Horizontal submenus not dropping down correctly in IE7

    Hello, I am hoping somebody can help.

  • Cannot drop old undo tablespace. Cause: active rollback segment

    dear all.
    db: oracle 10.2.0.1
    os: rhel as version 5 64 bits.
    This is a testing database. And my database is online and open. But i can free the external usb disk that contains my ols undotbs.
    I want to drop old undo tablespace but this is not possible.
    1.- In order to open my database i had my datafile( '/mnt/hdext/back_plelds/undotbs02.dbf') offline drop, and then i can to open my database.
    2.- When i try to delete my old undo tablespace im getting this error:
    SQL> drop tablespace undotbs1 including contents and datafiles;

    Well i search in metalink ORA-01548 code error and in 18947.1 doc whows me that the solution is:
    Action: Shut down instances that use the active rollback segments in the

    4.- I try to shutdown but im getting:

    This /mnt/hdext is an external USB disk and i have all permissions. I exported tables without any problem and i can read all files.
    i search un metalink again ora codes (ORA-00376 ORA-01110) and the doc id: 427801.1 shows in the solution:
    Drop the old undo tablespace instead of making it offline.
    but when i try to drop the tablespace it shows the error describe in the step 2.
    Facts:
    - my tablespace UNDOTBS1 is ONLINE. I put in offline and this is not the solution.
    - This is the status of my rollback segments:

    thanks a lot.

    in step 4 did you try with shutdown abort?
    If its still does not work then create another new table space with new file and then swtich to that tablespace http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14231/undo.htm#sthref1504Khurram

  • News Feed UserProfile Picture pointing to old url

    Originally when the site was setup the my site was setup with an incorrect URL.  So I created another site collection using the mysite host template and then when into the mysite settings and changed the url.  This fixed the links to mysites but
    the images in the site feeds are still referencing the old URL and not displaying the image.
    Any idea on how to update the reference?

    Hi Phillip,
    I recommend to check if the image in user’s my site is pointing to the old URL.
    If yes, We should update the PictureUrl of each user profile to update the photo location.
    For your reference, you can use the following PowerShell script to update the user profiles' photo location:
    Add-Type -Path "c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\web server extensions\14\isapi\microsoft.office.server.dll"
    $PSSnapIn = Get-PSSnapin | where {$_.Name -like "*sharepoint*"}
    if(!($PSSnapIn.Name -like "*sharepoint*"))
    Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell
    Function GetFileNameFromAccountName{
    param($accountName);
    $charsToReplace = "\/:*?""<>|";
    $result = $accountName;
    $charsToReplace.ToCharArray() | Foreach-Object{$result=$result.replace($_, "_");}
    return $result;
    Function UpdatePhoto{
    param($photoFolder);
    $Site = Get-SPSite -Limit 1 #Get Site for Service context
    $ServiceContext = Get-SPServiceContext($Site)
    $ProfileManager = new-object Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.UserProfileManager($ServiceContext)
    $Profiles = $ProfileManager.GetEnumerator() #Load all profiles into array
    Foreach($profile in $Profiles){
    if($profile["PictureUrl"].Value.Contains("old url here")){
    $accountName = GetFileNameFromAccountName($profile["AccountName"].Value)
    $img = $photoFolder + $accountName + "_MThumb.jpg";
    $profile["PictureUrl"].Value = $img;
    UpatePhoto http://my:80/User Photos/Profile Pictures/
    The UpdatePhoto needs a parameter. It is the folder that stores the user photos, it is generally http://<mysitehost>/User Photos/Profile Pictures/
    We must migrate all photos from the old Profile Pictures folder to the new Profile Pictures, then execute the PowerShell script.
    Best regards.

    Hi,
    If you are on 11.5.10.2:
    1) Run OATM migration utility-> perl $FND_TOP/bin/fndtsmig.pl
    2) Choose "6" -> "Run Post Migration Steps"
    3) Choose "4" -> "Generate script to drop empty tablespaces"
    4) Execute the script generated
    else (not 11.5.10.2):
    You should drop old tablespaces manually.
    Anyway take a full backup before.
    Regards,
    Aviad

  • Resetting / Removing Old URLs From Address Bar When Manually Typing In URLs

    How do you Reset / Remove Old URLs From Address Bar When Manually Typing In URLs. You know, when you start to tpye in www. and about 2000 URLs visted in your life, and past life, appear in a list. It's annoying as all heck, and since it's in alphabetical order it's always throwing in the first one in the list... 1800flowers in my case. Isn't there a way to reset this or something? Or better, to turn it off? I've already tried emptying cache and clearing history. I also removed the .plist files as well. What would happen if I did a reinstall of Safari?

    Hello Jonny Apple Seed
    The way to clear the address bar is to reset Safari, under Safari menu,
    this will also clear,
    "Resetting Safari clears the history, empties the cache, clears the Downloads window, and removes all cookies. It also removes any saved user names and passwords or other AutoFill data and clears Google search entries.
    In addition, any open windows are closed and a new window opens. The new window has a new history for the Back and Forward buttons and the SnapBack buttons". From Safari Help
    A reinstalled Safari will just come to be the same, after a while. Not worth it in my opinion. The address bar will not be completely empty.
    Hth some.

  • Spry dropdown menu not dropping down and reversing order cs4

    Hi, thank you for reading my post.
    I am having problems with my spry menu bar not dropping down when
    I upload it to my site, I get bulleted lists. When I preview it, it works fine. Also, the menu is in reverse order (??) I've tried retyping it in the opposite order to see if that fixes it, but somehow it goes back to backwards. It should start with home at the left. I am trying to post my code, but it will not let me paste. How do I paste code? Sorry if thats a silly question.
    Thank you

    Hi, thank you for your replies. I set everything to left, which caused it to display correctly in dreamweaver. Thank you! I did enjoy the "wiggle" that I get from the menu items on hover, they move from right to left, will that cause problems if I change one back to right? I still am having trouble getting the menu bar to show on the website, Im still getting bullets.
    How do I put the css files? They might be on the site, but not in the right place, where should they be? I also made another site from the same template, and saved it to a folder in my site so it can be previewed. Will that cause problems? Both spry's are not working..... argh! Thank you to everyone for your help, I appreciate it, this is my first time using the spry menu feature. Thank you for the help on posting code. Here is a link to the site and the code:

  • Possible? Recreate my original Homepage pages into iWeb but retain old URL?

    I have Tiger in the box and still have to install it.
    I just bought iLife '06 today and will install it after installing Tiger.
    I already have a .Mac homepage up — created with Homepage Manager.
    I am thinking now that I would like to recreate that original homepage but do it with iWeb.
    How do I end up with my original homepage pages all re-done into iWeb templates but retain my original .Mac homepage URL? All my friends know that URL. Could someone please explain?
    — Lorna in Southern California

    Well really it's not OR but AND. If you want to do away with your old >homepage-style pages and send people to your iWeb pages via the old URL, >then you must put the redirect on the old pages.
    Or you could leave the old pages up but add a link that says "Here's my new homepage..." or something like that...
    Hi... I see you live in Florida — and hope you are not in any of the traditional hurricane paths!
    I think that I want to start copying/recreating my Homepage pages into iWeb pages and accept that I will have a new URL someday in the near future (because I intend to do the copying as fast as I can and not stop). I can send a notice out and change a few other things. However, I have questions for that interim time when I am working on the iWeb pages but not finished with them.
    While I am working on iWeb pages, I am given a new URL, right? And thus, I would at that point have two URLs with .Mac. Is that possible? As I see it, the first URL would be the one I have now, which is the address of my present .Mac Homepage Manager Homepage. And the second URL, wouldn't it be the URL of the iWeb pages? That's possible???
    I understand the concept of having a redirect page from my original Homepage ultimatly to the new iWeb page, but is it an automatic redirect or one which the viewer can activate if he wants to? I would not want a redirect page to quickly, blindly switch a visitor from the old Homepage to the new iWeb pages which are incomplete.
    I don't understand the mechanics of URLs. I don't know what a Redirect Page looks like or how it works and I don't see how I could be working on my new iWeb pages with its new iWeb URL, all the while leaving my present Homepage alone, viewable by visitors with ITS OWN URL.
    [several minutes passed]
    And now that I have sat here and thought for several minutes, it seems that the easiest thing to do would be to have no redirect page for a while. All that I ask in that case is: Is it possible to do that? Is it possible to have my old/present Homepage viewable while I am working on my iWeb pages?
    I think I just solved one of my questions all by myself. If I begin to work on iWeb I will be given a new URL — an iWeb URL. Thus technically, when I Edit and Publish in iWeb, technically, people could view those pages, but chances are they will not if I don't announce the new iWeb URL to them. OK. I see......
    I am asking all of this now because I am the type that needs to envision and understand a project from start to finish before I start. I do not like surprises — and cyber surprises have the ability to unsettle me.
    Could someone please realign my erratic thoughts? Are my goals possible? Can I have my present .Mac Homepage Manager Homepage viewable and visitable while working away on copying them to my new iWeb site? (I bought iLife '06 yesterday and will install it and Tiger today. Tiger first and iWeb'06 second, as instructed.)
