Control account balance detailed by partners

Hello,
I need a report that displays for a control account (let's say customers' control account) the balance in a certain period and all the balances of the customers in that account, not the transactions, but only the balances.
How can I do that? I've seen the General Ledger account but it displays also the transactions not only the balances.
Thank you,

Hi Irina,
Financial Reports -> Accounting -> General Ledger is a good place to start.
Use the check boxes to set your desired output format.
To Summarize by BP for a Period.
1.  Make your posting period selection.
2.  Check <b>Summarize Control Accounts</b>.
3. Also Check <b>Sort and Summarize</b>.  From Drop down below that select <b>Totals Only</b>
4.  On the Right side Window  Select Sort field  <b>BP/Account Code</b> and Select <b>Yes</b> from the Summary Column drop down.
This should give you the desired result.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

  • How to change the BP-customer Control Account for entering Opening Balance

    Hi experts,
I am working on a project where I have used the segmented chart of account and segment is branch.
Project is under SAP B1 8.8 PL 05.
Customer has 2 branches. Now both the branch have different control account for debtors. Customer (BP) master is common for both the branches.
Now at the time of entering BP-Customer opening balance, I do not find the provison to select/change of control account. So all the opening balance entered will go into one control account only, which is set in business partner master for particular customer.
In SAP B1 8.8 at transaction level like Sales Invoice, there is provision to select the control account. Now I believe entering opening balance is the similar functionality as Sales Invoice and there should be provison for selection of control account to user.
Anyboady has any Idea / work around ?
Incase there is no provison then, I believe Product development team should take this in development of SAP B1 8.8.

    Hi,
I suggest you to import BP opening balance by JE template of DWT in which you just put account code as your control segmented account and additional information in "shortname" field with customer/vendor code.
    Hope this helps,
    Son.

  • NEGATIVE BALANCE IN INVENTORY CONTROL ACCOUNTS

  • Posting opening balances to control accounts

    Hi everyone,
I am entering the opening balances in SAP B1 2007 PL: 42 and I am unable to post the A/R and A/P balances because they are control accounts and there are transactions already posted to these accounts. I can't do a Journal Entry either.  Can anyone give me a suggestion on what i should do?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Control accounts in Business One is only used for buisness partner transactions. Meaning, any transaction doone on the account is connected to a BP.
If you with to post on a control account in a manual JE just press Ctrl+Tab when the account field is active in the JE screen, select the relevant BP and make your posting.
The control account field is not displayed by default in the Je screen so you should use form settings to make it visible and active if need be.
If the BP has more than one control account you can change from the default one that will be selected by deleting the control account on the JE line and tabing out, a screen will open with all control accounts associated to the BP.
To post Opening Balances, use the BP option instead of the account option.
    Hope it helps,
    Jesper

    hi divya,
Check SAP Note 904002 - Customer account balance is displayed with negative sign
    Summary
    Symptom
Customer Balance is displayed with minus.
    Other terms
Customer balance, Supplier Balance, Credit Balance, Debit Balance, Display Credit Balance with Negative Sign, Company Details, System Initialisation, business partner, accounts, SAP Business One
    Reason and Prerequisites
Customer balance is displayed in negative though you expect it to be positive.
    Solution
Under Administration->System Initialisation->Company Details and the 'Basic Initialisation' tab you will find the setting 'Display Credit Balance with Negative Sign'. This setting decides how Customer and Supplier balances will be displayed.
    NOTE!
When creating a company it is important to know that this setting is irreversible once transactions have been made in the company.
When this box IS checked the following applies:
Customer balances will be displayed as Positive.
Supplier balances will be displayed as Negative.
When this box IS NOT checked the following applies:
Customer balances will be displayed as Negative.
Supplier balances will be displayed as Positive.
This setting also influences the entry of opening balances for the G/L accounts. Depending on this setting, the opening balances must be entered as positive or negative numbers.
By default this box is checked when a new company is created.

  • GL account balance for Non Leading Ledger

    Hi,
I am trying to get GL account balance for Non leading ledger.
I am able to get Balance sheet GL account balance  for leading ledger using 'BAPI_GL_GETGLACCPERIODBALANCES', but I am unable to do so.
For P&L GLs, requirement is to get internal order wise account balance. I am able to get GL balance for leading ledger using documents in BSEG.
Any idea on how we get GL balance for non leading ledger?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Tejas

    Hello,
I am not sure if I understand quesition correct.
    1. Internal order per ledger - this link might give you some information.
FB50L FI-posting to an internal order
You can report internal orders per cost element (acutal and plan)
Use reports in: SAP Menue/ Information Systems/Accounting/Controlling/Reports for Internal Orders/Summarization Reports or/and More Reports
    as an instance: S_ALR_87013010
direct output to Excel and drill down functionality for details.
    2. GL balances per ledger: use F.08 and select ledger, then you have report per ledger
Let me know if this is what you have expected.

  • Opening Balance of Business Partners

    Hi All,
I am uploading the Initial Opening Balances of Customer & vendors but the problem is when I upload the balance the customer receivable balance with negative sign. I have not check the option of display the credit balance with negative sign.
The result, in customer ledger the system show the debit with positive sign but the balance in negative sign. So, please help me if there is any setting to show the balance in positive (if debits are more than credits). Even the control account is show in negative.

    Abhishek
Edited by: Abhishek A on Dec 6, 2008 12:27 PM

    Hi Abhishek
    Based on B1 online help
Display Credit Balance with Negative Sign
Select to display credit balances with a negative sign. According to the default settings, debit balances are displayed with a negative sign. This option cannot be changed after postings have been created in SAP Business One.
This setting influences the entry of beginning balances for the G/L accounts and business partners. Depending on this setting, the opening balances must be entered as positive or negative numbers. We recommend accepting the default setting, as this reflects the local requirements.
You probably need to accept default setting. If the default setting is not checked, then you have to use negative sign for debit balance instead of credit balance.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Including open PO's in BP's account balance?

    Hi guys,
Is there a way to include open purchase orders in a business partners account balance even if the corresponding invoice is yet to been received?
We have situations where goods are payable upon receipt but we do not receive the invoice until we receive the goods. Therefore, we are effectively understating our creditors.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
