Control at User/Document

Hi Guru's
Is there a way that a document can be controlled (Change/Delete) by user.
I mean, there are 2 users - User A and User B in same plant/department (All authorizations are same).
User A created a Material Reservation document (D1)
User B created a Material Reservation document (D2)
Can we control the change authorization of D1 to only by A and D2 by only B ( Logically, they are the owners)
Is there a way???

User Documents Folder Is Empty!!

I created a new User account and wanted to utilize the Documents folder from my original account. I copied (option/drag) my User Documents folder (in the original account) to my User Public folder (also in the original account). I then copied (option/drag) the Documents folder from the Public Folder to the new account. When I looked in the new account Documents folder, it was empty, as was the copy in the Public folder as well as the original!! I've looked everywhere I can think of, but can't find the contents of the original folder. I've even searched for invisible items, but no luck. I'd appreciate any guidance you can give. Thanks.

How did you search? Try using spotlight to see if you can uncover any items in your original Documents folder?

Issue with copy control of Delivery document to Billing document

Hi All,
I am having some issue with copy control of Delivery document to Billing document.
I am having two line items in Delivery documetn, one is for item to be delivered to customer and other which is created due to batch determination.
Now , when I create billing document (VF01) with reference to this delivery document , I want only one line item (for the one which needs to be delivered to customer).
I have used following things in copy contro from ZLF to ZF2:
Copying requirements: 004 ( Deliv-related item)
Data VBRK/VBRP: 007 "(Inv.Split (Rec/Div))
Is it correct or shall I use something else, so I have only one line item in Billing document.

How do I backup all user documents on a storage media with 6 revisions

I'm saddled with the task of designing a backup strategy which I've been able to do, now I wonder which is the best approach to ensuring all user documents in the domain is backed up on a central server having 6 revisions of every backup, This is to ensure
there would be no data loss in any event and we can refer to the last 6 backups in the event of recovery. I would like to know.
Which backup approach is best, I was thinking of folder redirection but some of our users have *.pst folders, which is not a good candidate for redirection.
I want to ensure all documents i.e: excel, word, powerpoint, pdf, et al are backed up, wherever they are stored in their hard drives. But is it possible I redirect the whole drive? What are the draw backs if I do so?
Which backup software are recommended?
TSM readily comes to mind but are there cost effective and reliable alternatives?

You can use Windows Server Backup to create schedule backups, then you can configure the size of the storage area that you choose will determine how many backup versions you can store.

Problem with copy control from sales document to billing document

Hi,
I have a copy control from a sales document to a billing document,
which is copying everything from the sales document, except the
conditoin values. Any ideas on why will a copy routine won't copy the
condition values from a source document? I don't even have a document
pricing procedure assigned to my billing document. Any setting, that
we can do to for the conditions to get copied from the sales document
to the billing document...just as they are in the sales document?

What setting do you have for your source sales document type to target billing document type? Select the row that shows the document type you are interested in and double click on item(on the left pane). Select the item category and do display. What value do you see under the 'Pricing Type' and 'Price Source'?
May be that is where some config setting is missing.

Copying Folder to Multiple User Document Folders

I can't find anything in the forums which exactly covers my situation, so I apologize if I am covering old ground.
Is it possible to copy a folder and it's contents to a users document folder on multiple computers via ARD 2.X?
In other words, I want to take a folder and use ARD 2.x to copy that folder to say fifty unique users' document folder over the network without having to enter a new command for each user the folder is copied to.
Does anyone have an idea as to how to do this?

You might try copying it to Users/Shared. That way it is available to everyone on the machine and you only have to copy it once to each computer. What kind of a folder is it? Some apps (like Word) have template folders that all users get when they load the app, so you could just copy your items to that folder, depending on what kind of file it is.

The new features are outlined in the Installation Guide (page 10.)
The most noticable to the end-users would be the security settings and the different views such as Hierarchial and Tree views
which can be customised.

There are some reserved screen for you in sales order.
screen enhancement: for header is SAPMV45A 8309 and 8310.
for item is SAPMV45A 8459 and 8460.
you can add your table control in those screen.

In copy control for billing documents, there is a pricing type M - copy pricing elements, turn value?
What is the effect of this pricing type?

Pricing type 'M' is used in copying control - billing document to sales document and in particular for sales document type 'RK' - Invoice correct request.
Pricing type 'M' is used as 2nd pricing type to correct the field VBRP-WAVWR with +/- sign.
So in short, for pricing type M, no prices are re-determined, but values are corrected with +/- sign.

Allow Reader users "Document Assembley" permission

I want to be allow Reader users "Document Assembley" permission in a PDF saved as Reader Extended - PDF / Enable additional features. When I do that the properties of the file change the Document Assembley option from allowed to Not Allowed automatically. Can anyone advise how I can do what I want to do with this sort of distributed file?

"Document assembly" (DA) refers to the ability to add/remove/rotate pages in a PDF file, or change the bookmarks tree. None of these is ever possible in Reader, so the DA flag is always disabled.
The process of Reader-extending a file involves a signing process which in turn means that some editing features which are normally possible in Acrobat have to be disabled, and DA is one of them.

Output Control at User level

Hi ,
I have a requirement. Is that in the Output Determination can we control the specific ouput type for user specific.
I,e In billing output for output type "RD00" for the print medium 1, i need to control at user level. One user should be able to generate this output & the other user should not.
Please give me suggestion on the above. This should be only controlled through configurations but not through any Z Programs.

Dear Chakri,
As you mentioned that one user should have access for Output but the other should not have the same.
Please contact your basis or security team to give the access to the person whom you want authorisation for Output and check the other user whether he is having access to Output generation, If he have authorisation ask Basis team to deactive his authorisation.
