Control Center II on MSI H67ma-e35 (b3) does not maintain a preset

hello guys,
as announced in the title
on my mother board H67 (actually on the other mobo 1155 that I own I have yet to install it), the CC II does not maintain the Green Power Genie preset...
or, I imposed at 75% but the next reboot, it always returns to Auto mode ..
Bios is set active to 75% too,
and I do not understand why it does not align to the same value by software ..

A quick question before I decide on buying a new motherboard... Does the MSI H67MA-E35-B3 come with an S/PDIF out connector/bracket for its internal header??

If they don't come with one there are other brackets readily available that will work on it. Those S/PDIF brackets rarely come with a MB.

MSI H67MA-E35-B3 not supporting ddr3 1333

I recently purchased MSI H67MA-E35-B3 and Intel Pentium G620 processor with Corsair xms3 2x2gb ram kit CMX4GX3M2A1600C9
Ram is not detected as 1333, but it defaults to 1066 in auto settings, if I manually change speed to 1333, pc wont boot and I have to clear cmos.
Enabling XMP in bios displays adjusted dram speed as 1600, but saving and rebooting speed sets back speed to 1066.
I want to run ram at default 1333 speed at least if the board cpu doesnt support 1600.
Also there is some issue with Ps/2 keyboard, its not detected by windows after shutting down pc, some reboots and plugging unplugging keyboards makes it work.

Actually, according to Intel specifications, native memory support of this processor is restricted to DDR3-1066:

New RAM for MSI H67MA-E35(B3)

Hi,
I am planning to buy a new pair of RAM for my MSI H67MA-E35(B3) motherboard as the GSkill Ripjaws X which I was using since 2012 finally gave up on me recently (and the GSkill service sucks in my country). I am looking forward to buy a new pair of Kingston HyperX FURY 4GB RAMs for my MoBo. Hence I'd like to know if there will be any issues in terms of compatibility and stability with my current config? If there are going to be any such issues, would you please recommend me a good pair of RAMs to get my system running again. My priorities are Reliability and Stability with good service backup.

Use Corsair ram. A Vengeance or Vengeance Pro kit will fit your needs. An 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 kit would be fine. e.g.: CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8

Help!! MSI H67MA-E35 (B3) Beep at startup

Hi every one.. I just got a new PC.. Here goes my config :
Spec :
Intel Core i5 2500
MSI H67MA-E35 (B3)
Corsair 1333MHz CL9 4GB
Fsp saga II 500w
NZXT Gamma
BenQ G2220HD
Logitech MMKB+Optical
Got an issue now.. At the system startup i get 2 short beep 1 normal beep when connected to VGA port and 4-5 short beep and 1 normal beep when connected to DVI port.. But every thing is running fine after that.. Is there something to be worried here?? When i googled about it, many with this mobo had this problem... during the beep, i get 99, A4 on the bottom right corner.. guess its error code..
Plz help me to solve this problem..

Just checked and yes seems for your board is different, its build-in instead:
In such case: Place a small piece of scotch tape over the speaker hole[over the top of the buzzer/speaker]

I recently bought a MSI H67MA-E35-B3 to build a fanless miniPC for testing hardware (fans, ssd, sound card),
but I have some doubts about ram:
I know thant this mobo support two unbuffered DIMM of 1.5 Volt DDR3 1066/1333 DRAM, 16GB Max..
well, can I use a CORSAIR Vengeance WhitePC3-12800 (1600MHz) — 1.35V 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CML8GX3M2A1600C9W)?
that is; can the card bring down (during the star-up bios) the ram fron 1600Mhz to 1333Mhz which is the maximum rate allowable by MSI?
ddr3 must be unbufferd (not registered), but can they be ECC...is this correct?

Check if your BIOS DRAM voltage range even allows setting a voltage of 1,35V.

If the 1600 ddr3 worked under at 1333 could be that they would not work at 1.35volt, but at 1.5volt standard value

MSI P6N SLI V2 does not boot up from cd/dvd and few other problems

I just bought a computer P6N SLI V2 + E6750. It has following problem. It does not boot from cd.
I have Sata HD. CD/DVD is installed to IDE as a master.
I have done settings in bios so that First boot is cd/dvd and second is sata HD. Anyhow it still goes to the hd and stars windows.
I was only able to boot up from cd when I disabled hd from boot sequency. Meaning I left only cd/dvd there.
Hopefully you pro's can help me.
Then there is another problem. Windows is telling me that it found new pci device. I do not know what device. I have only Graphig card (geforce 8800 gts) installed into pci-E. Drivers and software are also installed, I assume proberly. How to find out what windows thinks it found.
Third problem is onboard soundcard. I cannot get any sound out from the machine. I have downloaded driver from realtek, but still no sound.
Unfortunatelly I do not have original software for motherboard. Only the latest from MSI website.

About bootup, i dont know yet.
To find out what windows found, look in devicemanager.
To go there go to controlpanel, system then choose devicemanager.
There you can see what's installed.
Last, your soundcards needs to be enabled in bios, under integrated peripherals there should be a line with "onboard sound", enable this and sound should work, unless its broken.

Bootcamp.msi 5.0.5033 does not work?

When running Bootcamp.msi (the latest version - 5.0.5033 from March 2013) either from bootcamp/setup.exe or directly from bootcamp/drivers/apple/BootCamp it aborts with the message "this version of bootcamp is not intended for this computer model" and so it does not get installed. My computer is late 2012 iMac 27" (intel core i7 with 32GB memory) and as such is supposedly supported according to the documentation.
What is the problem and how to solve it?

News - BIG PROBLEM - MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum - DOES NOT POWER!!!

Hi to everyone.
I'm a proudly owner of a MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum that in one year gave me no problem until yesterday morning.
I used the computer in the night before and when I finished I turned it off and I went to bed.
Yesterday morning I found the power led blinking (like if the system was in standby), and there was no way to turn the PC on.
I even took off the battery for more than 12 hours and I left only minimal components installed:
the video card (Gainward GeForce 6800),
the psu (Antec TruePower 550W),
1 x 512 MB Ram Crucial Ballistix,
and I checked them into another computer and they work perfectly.
I tried shorting the MB power switch pins with a screwdriver and I've even tried to power on the system without the Memory or the Video Card... I've tried everything that came across my mind with no efforts!!!!
Every time I give power to the MB appens only that the power led starts blinking, but pressing the button the PC doesn't turn on.
PLEASE HELP ME... I really don't know what else to do!!!

- 1 x 512 Mb RAM Crucial Ballistix DDR400 optimized for MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
I left only these things inside my computer in the hope that it would turn on... it did not work. I tested each component but the MB, and they work perfectly.

All parts have been tested: CPU/RAM/GFX/PSU/HD/DVD, just not the MOBO ?
Checked if the MOBO is shorting in the case ?
Have you tried using the reset switch as power, on/off switch ? I've seen before when the power switch stops working (lose/bad wire busted spring) after swapping reset to power, then the system turned on. Worth a try, as sending it back to USA won't be cheap. If its over 1 year old it mite not be covered by the re-seller and or MSI. Best to check this out as law and warranty is different from country to country.

MSI H67MA-E35 undervolt/underclock i3 2120?

Hi,
do you know if with this board it's possible to underclock/undervolt an i3 core family processor (for example the i3 2120 or i3 2100)?
I have checked on the online manual and I have see a multiplier setting for the clock in the BIOS but I have not see a control for change the default vcore.
In theory is always possible to change the multi (down only of course) or lower the voltage even in the processor locked but can this board do it? it has the correct options in BIOS? someone have tried and can confirm that it's possible?

Believe the CPU V. set to Auto when all power saving features are enabled is as low as it is going to go with the voltage. The CPU's VID is being read as to the minimum the CPU needs to run with, and with your mainboard, there is no way to manually force it lower far as I know.

BIOS chip for MSI H67MA-E35 (B3)

Is it possible to get a BIOS chip for this motherboard?
I've got this motherboard from a friend. He wanted to flash the BIOS but it failed. The board was fine before the flash but now it can't do anything anymore. It's just the BIOS that's bad.
The chip seems to be relatively easy to remove. I would like to solder on a new one.
Someone who can help me out? Thanks!!!

Its probably just a bricked board. I suggest you phone your local PC shops and find out which one has a ISP programmer. That way they can flash the latest, or any BIOS version for that matter, onto the current BIOS chip, ensuite. Here is an example of such a programmer http://www.xeltek.com/In-System-Programmers/SuperPro-IS01/
Fry's Electronics in the US seems to be quite helpful from what I understand. That is of course if you are from the US.
You can download the latest BIOS from the MSI site and take that along on a USB flash drive, and they will be able to flash it for you, at a fee of course, normally.
Else you can search the web for companies that specialise in sending you ready flashed BIOS chips, which will of course cost money as well and means you have to solder it onto the board.
Alternatively you can send the board to a MSI technical centre and they will also do the job.
You will have to weigh up the costs and time effort and decide.

Command Center upgrade to 1.0.0.68 does not adjust CPU Ratio

I had a previous version of Command Center. I believe it was 1.0.0.48. I was able to use it to adjust the CPU ratio OK.
However, it kept asking that I upgrade to the latest. I finally did this and now the new version (1.0.0.68) will not adjust the CPU Ratio.
I am using the Z87-GD65 Gaming board, with the 1150 socket, operating in Windows 8.1 64 bit.
I have the i5 4670k cpu.
I would like to revert back to the original version, which I believe is Command Center 1.0.0.48, but I cannot find a link to it anywhere.
Can you please provide a link to it?

I mean that when I set the CPU ratio to say 39 and then I click APPLY, the CPU ratio stays at 34.
Command Center will show it's at 39, but Real Temp still shows it at 34.
When using the older version, I set the CPU ratio to 39, then click APPLY, the CPU ratio goes to 39.
Real Temp will show it's at 39.
Version 1.0.0.68 will not adjust the CPU ratio.
Also, I can install Command Center from the DVD that comes with the MSI board. It is even older than 1.0.0.48 (right now, I cannot remember the version, but it is older). I am able to adjust the CPU ratio to 39, then click APPLY and the CPU ratio is now at 39.
Real Temp will show it's at 39.
Not the case with 1.0.0.68.
Anyway, is there anyway I can get version 1.0.0.48?

Followup-- MSI P6N SLI Platinum does not work with E8400

I am just following up like I said I would... and the *RMA'ed* E8400 still fails to post with a BIOS updated (v1.6) P6N SLI Platinum. It works fine with an E4500... but not the E8400. MSI really shouldn't say it's compatible when it's not. I am going to send the board back to Directron and replace it with the new Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L. Very unhappy with MSI right now and probably won't buy from them again. I'm going to stick with another gigabyte for now. Anything I can do before sending it back tonight? I am very disappointed, especially because this really is a perfect board for me.
