Control changes in materials

Hi,
I need to control the changes in materials. Basically I need to know if a material has been changed its short text, or its unit base of measure or if has been activated for deletion.
The idea is that a I want to create a function module to return the changed materials for a specified plant.
I don't know if my requirement has to be solved with change pointers. If it is possible please let me knows how. I need to activate change pointers at material level? It can be do it through mm01 or by customizing?
Until now, all I have read relation change pointer with IDOCs, but I think that this is not I need.

Perhaps you don't need customizing of change pointers, check table CDHDR and CDPOS.
Select entries with OBJECTCLAS=MATERIAL and OBJECTID="Material-No."

My scenario is our company using ECC6.0, and the material ledger is activated.
Wrongly last fiscal year for one plant nearly 50+ materials created under standard price with price determination as 2.
(ROH - with Price control 'S' + Price Deterimination = 2) and all the materials having stock and values, transactions is going on.
Now we realized that the raw materials created wrongly in standard price and want to change the price control and price determination. If we change the materials determination and control in CKMM what is the next impact for calculating next prices through cost estimates (CKMLCP or CK40N) and is it suggestable to do?

The simple answer is - Yes it is possible, put different standards on the material master for the different valuation areas.
next question: how will the account for the difference?? Price variance? Uplift? where will that post?
next question: how will create those values? cositng runs, conditions, uplifts?

Display changes to materials

Hi,
I just discovered the programs RFDABL00 and RFKABL00, which display the changes to vendors and customers. I would need a similar program to display the changes for materials. But I can't seem to find a similar program for materials. Does anybody know if it exists or how I can find it?

How to control change request creation for particular IBase Component?

Dear Experts,
Can anybody suggest , how to control change request creation for particular IBase Component?
We have implemented ChaRM which is integrated with SAP ECC & SAP BI.
ChaRM is not integrated with SAP Solution Manager.
End Users are creating support notifications from -Help Menu- Create Support Notification.
The IBase Component is not editable once notification is created. This Ibase is copied to change request when the action-create change document is saved.
Requirement is that, during creation of change document, system should check the IBase component of support notification. If the IBase is related to solution manager system, system should restirct the change request creation.
Kindly suggest how to achieve this.

Hello Vivek,
The way to do what you want is to create a schedule condition for action Create Change Document. The action has to be displayed only when the IBase/Component value differs from SolMan. To add the IBase/Component value to the container so that it can be evaluated during runtime, you will have to create a subtype of BUS2000116 on which condition can be buit.

Can Logic 7 filter out select Control Change messages?

I've got a Tascam US-428 that has gone rogue and is sending out random control change messages - a huge number of them. They are all within the range of CC 64-71 and all are on channel 16. Is there some way that I can filter these out so that Logic just ignores them?
Just for fun yesterday I left a blank song up with the US-428 turned on and it ran out of memory in under thirty minutes. That's a lot of useless data that I need to live without.
Any help appreciated!

Never mind. I figured it out. RTFM, although the index wasn't much help.
If anyone has a similar problem with a Tascam US-428 I'd be interested to know whether it's failing or if this is a just a 'design feature.' It seems to be sending way too many messages from the channel faders.

Price Change of Materials

Hi MM experts,
Is there any report to see the change in price of materials. MM03 gives this information but limited to one level. I wanna know full report of changes, i.e. in different periods, that mean there might be more than one changes in price.

You can view the material price change document for detail report
The price change document documents price changes as well as material debits and credits.
Choose Accounting -> Controlling-> Product Cost Controlling---> Actual Costing/Material
Ledger --> Information System -->More Reports ---> Price Change Document.

Reg Storage location control when pulled materials via fixed bin replenishm

We are Using Storagelocation Control Functionality in WM
We have below Storage locations
RW01 - Raw Material Storing
PD01 - Materials staged for Production Lines
I have setup RW01 as Standard Storage location and PD01 as 'not copied to TR'
When i try to do bin to bin tranfer raw material to production lines From Bin in RW01 to Bin in PD01, TO has RW01 as expected, i Run posting change background job and this functionality is working fine
We would be using Fixed bin replenishment strategy to stage materials for productions from raw materials storage
I run LP21 for PD01, it has created TR but has storage location PD01 instead of RW01.
PD01 shouldnt have copied as i have set 'Not to be copied to TR' for PD01
Fixed bin replenishment doesnt support storage location control? does we need to go for customization ?

While debugging we relaixed SAP doesnt check storage location control config at all while doing fixed bin replenishment, only custom solution to force system to check storage location control config and assign storage location is TR?

How do I make one control change the entry list of another?

I am using LabView 2010 and would like to create a custom control, in which there are two ring controls (among other things).
The options shown in one ring menu should depend on what option is picked in the other ring menu.
How does one do that?

Well the data that goes into the two rings will have to be initialised somehow... Or by constant array, or by reading them from file.
If you don't want to change your code, I would defenitly getting the string you want to get from file.
But still, to update the 2 rings, you will have to update the strings in the 2nd control on the fly.
FILE :
[OPTIONS]
Option1=...
Option2=...
[POSSIBLE_SELECTIONS]
Selection1.Parent=1
Selection1.Name=...
Selection2.Parent=1
Selection2.Name=...
This is how you could set up the file. where options are the items which your are going to put in the first ring.
Depending on that selection you will go fill out the names in the second ring depening on which parent is selected in the first ring

Table Control, change data of itab on enter-click

Hello all, I have an itab gt_task_704 which I use to display in a table control.
When the user changes a field and pushes on the ENTER-KEY, I'm trying to modify this itab with the new content.
The issue I have is that some fields are updated with faulty content.

Why do the appearance of my customized control change while changing the size of window?

I want to show the direction of power flow, so I customize an arrow-like slider, the width of the line is set the width as 3, and the height as 80. It can work. However, when I change the size of the window, the line of the slider is changed , and it looks quite ugly. How can I solve this problem.?

First, as you found out, the "scale all object on front panel as the window resizes" doesn't really work very well.
Second, what you're saying is that all your controls won't fit on the screen? What resolution is the screen? Typically manually sizing and placing objects on your front panel is the best way to get everything placed correctly. In addition, I have often found that an inability to fit everything on the screen is an indication that the interface is too busy.

EM10gR2 Grid Control / Change Management Pack does not support TYPE objects

I wonder any Oracle EM10gR2 Grid Control users, implementing Oracle Change Management Pack, have used it for the release and proper packages management.
Issue1 - On an EM console / Web GUI the DDL comparison and synchronization is not supported at all. Implementing it @ customer it appeared that we have to install a 10g Java Client in order to use the code comparison and sync functionalities.
Issue2 - and this is more serious - it appears that even with Java client in use, you cannot compare or sync objects related to TYPE or TYPE BODY data types. The comparison simply hangs.
Asked help from support, they mentioned an ER from 8i and logged a new ER for 10g/11g. That is surprising especially as the doc (http://download.oracle.com/docs/html/A96679_01/toc.htm) about code comparison does not exclude the TYPE objects from the supported options.
Any fellow DBA running to a same problem? What solutions & recommendations might you have?
