Control chapter marker with number keys on the remote control

hey guys,
do you know where i can set chapter marker of track so, that when i hit a number key on the remote control (e.g. 2 for chapter 2) it jumps to this marker.

Ergonomically, the number keys on the numpad are far superior to the ones above the keyboard for processing email quickly and easily (and without carpel tunnel!). I'm right-handed so it's much more natural for me to hold down the same two control keys (alt-shift)
with my left hand and select the action (a different key every time) I want with my right. Can do it opposite, but requires more conscious thought and is more subject to error (which defeats the whole purpose when I have to go fish a mis-acted on email out
of the wrong folder).
Was wondering if this issue had been corrected in 2013 (or there was an easy workaround that doesn't involve writing and maintaining a separate macro or installing/maintaining a separate program like AutoHotKeys). The built-in functionality is 99% what I need,
but the ergonomic issue may make it unusable for me.

I can confirm in Outlook 2013 the shortcut keys can only use the number keys above "QWERTY..." and we can't use the number keys on the keypad. This comes by design and is not changeable currently.

Downloaded the Trial version. It still says the serial number key is invalid. On the iWork page where I am suppose to enter the serial number key, the "Go Back" button is always BOLD, but the "Continue" button remains GREY all the time. The "Continue" button remains grey even after I have completed the key entry. I have to type the "Return" key on my keyboard to force enter the key. The message I get is still "Invalid key".
I have called Apple. The first person helped by asking me to delete certain items in some Folders and it still did not work. I was then connected to a senior person, but I heard over the recording that there were 15 persons waiting on the line. I had to end the call because the wait will take too long.

Maybe your Numpad is set to mouse keys? There is a function to use the Numpad as mouse replacement. You can turn this off and on in System perferences -> Universal Access -> Mouse & Trackpad.

How to use AttributeHierarchyOptimizedState property with Primary Key of the Dimension?

I would like to increase processing performance of Customer Dimension with CustomerID as the primary key. It is a good practice to set AttributeHierarchyOptimizedState to NotOptimized to CustomerID attribute. What are the implications to the query
performance?

Since the CustomerID is the primary key (surrogate key) and the usual practice is to hide the surrogate keys in client tools. It is the best practice to set the AttributeHierarchyOptimizedState to NotOptimized to CustomerID attribute. As specified
in the article SSAS will not create Bitmap indexes on top of that attribute and it saves a lot of processing time and decreases the cube size.

Event ID: 5014, 5004 The DFS Replication Service is stopping communication with partner / Error 1726 (The remote procedure call failed.)

I'm replicating between two servers in two sites (Server A - Server 2012 R2 STD, Server B - Server 2008 R2) over a VPN (Sonicwall Firewall). Though the initial replication seems to be
happening it is very slow (the folder in question is less than 3GB). I'm seeing these in the event viewer every few minutes:
The DFS Replication service is stopping communication with partner PPIFTC for replication group FTC due to an error. The service will retry the connection periodically.
Additional Information:
Error: 1726 (The remote procedure call failed.)
and then....
The DFS Replication service successfully established an inbound connection with partner PPIFTC for replication group FTC.
Here are all my troubleshooting steps (keep in mind that our VPN is going through a SonicWall <--I increased the TCP timeout to 24 hours):
-Increased TCP Timeout to 24 hours
-Added the following values on both sending and receiving members and rebooted server

I've done a lot of research on the Internet and most of it is pointing to the same stuff I've tried. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Maybe I need to look somewhere
else on the server side or firewall side?
I tried replicating from a 2012 R2 server to another 2012 server and am getting the same events in the event log so maybe it's not a server issue.
Some other things I'm wondering:
-Could it be the speed of the NICs? Server A is a 2012 Server that has Hyper-V installed. NIC teaming was initially setup and since Hyper-V is installed the NIC is a "vEthernet
(Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Driver Virtual Switch) running at a speed of 10.0Gbps whereas Server B is running a single NIC at 1.0Gbps
-Could occasional ping timeout's cause the issue? From time to time I get a timeout but it's not as often as the events I'm seeing. I'm getting 53ms pings. The folder
is only 3 GB so it shouldn't take that long to replicate but it's been days. The schedule I have set for replication is mostly all day except for our backup times which start at 11pm-5am. Throughout the rest of the time I have it set anywhere from
4Mbps to 64 Kbps. Server A is on a 5mb circuit and Server B is on a 10mb circuit.

I'm seeing the same errors, all servers are running 2008 R2 x64. Across multiple sites, VPN is steady and reliably.

Events are for all five servers (one per office, five total offices, no two in the same city, across three states).
Events are not limited to one replication group. I have quite a few replication groups, so I don't know for sure but I'm running under the reasonable assumption that none are spared.
Reminder from original post (and also, yes, same for me), the error is: Error: 1726 (The remote procedure call failed.)
Some way to figure out what code triggers an Event ID 5014, and what code therein specifies an Error 1726, would extremely helpful. Trying random command line/registry changes on live servers is exceptionally unappealing.
Side note, 1726 is referenced here:

But it says, "This RPC connection problem may be caused by an unstable WAN connection." I don't believe this is the case for my system.

layer. To examine the TCP ports that the DFS Replication service is using on replication partners, run the following command in a

This returns all open TCP connections. The connections in question are "DFSRs.exe", which the command won't let you filter for.
Instead, I used the NETSTAT command as advertised, dumping output to info.txt:
NETSTAT -ANOBP TCP >> X:\info.txt
Then I opened Excel and manually opened the .TXT for the open wizard. I chose fixed-width fields based on the first row for each result, and then added a column:

Dragging this down through the entire file let me see that row (Row F) as the file name. Some anomalies were present but none impacted DFSrs.exe results.
Finally, you can sort/filter (I sorted because I like being able to see everything, should I choose to) to get just the results you need, with the partial rows removed from the result set, or bumped to the end.
My server had 125 connections open.
That is a staggering number of connections to review, and I feel like I'm looking for a needle in a haystack.
I'll see if I can find anything useful out, but a better solution would be most wonderful.

Ip sla operations with different keys for the same destination

the customer wants to use different ip sla operations for the same destination (ip sla responder). From the first source router he uses key key1 and from the second source router he uses key key2. The ip sla responder responds only for the first router which uses the key key1.:-( Is it a normal behaviour? Can I use different keys for different ip sla operations for the same ip sla responder?

If you're using one tunnel source you need to use one ipsec profile, unless you're running (a) p2p tunnel which you're not in this case.
While you MAY have some luck with sharing/unsharing among different interface I'm afarid it will not be ever mentioned as supported.
The situation will change with upcomfing 3.10 and 3.11 IOS XE releases (and corresponding IOS releases).

Problem with Semantic Keys in the DTP

I am facing a strange issue....
I want to enable all the fields in the Semantic Groups in the DTP.
I know that we have to select the option " Valid Records update, No reporting".....I have done that...
But the problem is that only the Key field is enable..
Is only the Keyfields will be checked ?
But if that is the case then for another DSO in the DTP all the fields are enabled in the Semantic Groups....how is it possible....
I am not able to find out the difference....

Dear Das,
Symantic Grouping can be done both on Key and Data fields.
Main intention of going to symantic grouping is: to maintain/upadte all the changes of a perticular record into one single data package.
Example: Sales order and Status are maintained as symantic grouping and so all the data records with respect to the sales order and status will be in a same data package.
Data records will not be shufull in 2 more or more than 2 data packages.
Sales Order #: SO1
Status: Open,Completed,Closed
If it is not symantic grouping(status not sym grouped) there might be chance of S01 with different status in different packages.
i.e. S01 with open anc completed in data packet 1 and SO1 with status closed upadted in data packet 2.
If it is symantic grouping, S01 with all the status will be sent to data target in a single data package.

I know that focus management has changed alot.
Based on my experimentation a while back, in 1.4 it still believes that the JFrame is the window in focus, even though a JOptionPane is currently in front of it (unless I misinterpreted what was going on). Thus, the frame seems to get the keyboard event and re-invoke the action.

How do I create a SimpleSearch that would not return pages that are marked to be hidden in navigation?

AFAIK SimpleSearch implementation is for simple fulltext search and can't use it, you need to use either with sql or xpath

Chapter (marker) list-how to export the list

Can you export chapter lists to paper??? Or do yoiu have to just write them down one at a time

When I provide feedback, I sometimes attempt to discern the users intent when I give my reply. For example, I could have just posted "Use Metadata Hootenanny". But, I was attempting to discern if you were using those scripts because you WANTED to, or because you didn't know about Metadata Hootenanny, which is a much easier and a lot more straightforward way of creating Chapter tracks.
You may just want to ignore my prior statement and take the below as it's rewrite.
You might find it easier to use Metadata Hootennanny (unless you prefer to use the "Script Collection").

Thanks for prompt response - I tried what you suggested but I'm afraid it has not helped. It seems as though the line of number keys along the top aren't actually doing what is printed on them. Some are OK, but the further towards the right hand side of the keyboard you go, the less predicatable it becomes. So whilst the second key from the left gives me 1 and ! when holding the shift key, by the time I get to the 6 when I press and hold shift I get ^ rather than & symbol which is what is actually printed on the key. The & symbol is actually on the next key along - and when I hit the key with 8 I get * rather than the ( which is printed on they key but actually located on the next key along. Things get even more muddled by the time I am over on the right hand side as rather than a question mark (I have had to type the word as I cannot find the symbol anywhere!) I get this _ and the other symbol marked on the key is a comma, but I get - instead. It is going to drive me mad if every time I want to type something it is a guessing game....! What do you suggest - question mark

Encore content was just loaded to my library and one of the menus will not allow me to drag a line from chapter marker to timeline? I connected the menu item in the properties menu and the video box is blank? Help

Can someone please help. In the flowchart, I am unable to drag a line from menu item to chapter markers. I get a circle with a line through it. I had to connect menu with chapter markers through the properties panel. The video asset for that chapter marker is not appearing in the box above the title of that menu?

Number keys on Mac keyboard with Windows in boot camp

I am using the full size wired keyboard with my iMac. While I am in WIndows XP Pro on Boot Camp, I can not use the number keys on the right side. Is there any way I can make these work? It might be picky, but is sure annoying the crap out of me. Any thoughts?

None of the "option + number key" mappings seem to work

Hi,
I am trying to use the *Canadian French - CSA keyboard layout* and none of the *option + number key* mappings seem to work.
For example, when I type *option + 2* (in the "Canadian French - CSA keyboard layout"), it should print @ but instead nothing is printed and I sometimes hear the alert sound.
Spaces is not activated and no keyboard shotcuts are assigned to the keys.
In the keyboard viewer I can see the keys light up when I type the combinations but still, nothing happens.
Even if I press option and click the 2 (@) with my mouse in the keyboard viewer, the character will not print!
All other *option + key* mappings seem to work, the problem is only with number keys.
